CoCo Key Hotel & Water Resort

We had stayed the first four nights of our six night Orlando trip at Universal's Cabana Bay, and decided to save some money the last two nights, while having built-in entertainment, by going to CoCo Key. I was not disappointed. Cabana Bay is all brand new, so I was trying to keep my expectations down for CoCo Key. The staff was great, the rooms were comfortable and the water park is great!

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Coco Key resort. The room was clean, well lit & well maintained. The hotel is convieniently located nearby all of the major theme parks & there are literally dozens of great restaurants in the area to take advantage of.

We stayed here this past weekend and It was one of the best experiences! Management and staff was excellent. Andy holt- the manager made sure we had everything we need for our stay. Shuttles are provided 24/7 which was nice to know. Rooms are in excellent condition.

Upon arriving we recieved excellent guest service! All the staff here is very friendly, especially the manager Andy Holt. He made sure we had everything we needed to have the most perfect weekend! We stayed for my friends bachelorette party and Andy also helped us with finding a shuttle service to and from city walk so we didn't have to drive and could enjoy our evening! The rooms were beautiful and I definitely would come back!

For the price, this is a very good place to stay. The water park is a great place for the kids. My husband and I didn't have any kids with us but the water park looked great. It is convenient to a lot of restaurants and to the outlets. The room was just the basics but it was clean and met our needs.

Check in was simple all quickly explained. Room was easy to locate. Room was clean and accommodated for everything you would need. Air conditioning was a little noisey. Nice and spacious with 2 queen beds. House keeping were great. Plenty of parking spaces. Popular with the locals so it can be quite busy around ht pool and water park but we always managed to get sunbeds. Water park is great will manned with life guards. Easy walking distance to Dennys, Ihop, McDonalds and aslo other great restraunts but we always find the first few days of getting accustomed to the emission we are awake around 4am so we make our way over to Dennys for breakfast as they are always open. Onsite you have a pizza hut they also deliver to your room and the food is very good quality. Arcade onsite is great for passing a little time on your days off from the park still making sure the kids will not get bored when you need a day at the pool. Hotel is a great allrounder perfectly positioned location wise for the theme parks, restaurants, attractions and public transport. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

we stayed here from Feb. 6-13 as part of a vacation package with sunwing and enjoyed our stay , staff is very friendly and helpful. good location, lots of restaurants, and shops in the area , and a great water part the kid loved it, the park was open till 7pm every day, and part of it is covered , so on a rainy day can still have fun with the kids, will definitely consider this place on our next trip to Orlando. and recommend this place for anyone with kids, we visited magic kingdom on a Saturday, and it was awfully busy, should of just stayed here on the weekends and visit Disney parks during the week..

Staff was great from Check in to check out, Great Job! I am a GM of a property not to far, but my property is Extended Stay and does not offer the amenities that resort properties do. It was nice seeing how the other side lives and everyone did a great job!

Very nice location and attentive staff. Stayed in the tower and found the rooms to be quite comfortable and very clean. I would like to thank Andrew the front office manager. On my way to the airport, I had left my wedding ring on the nightstand. I had already checked out. The driver for the transportation company called the resort and mentioned that I was on a tight schedule. Andrew retrieved my ring and had it waiting for me as soon as we pulled up. I was able to make my flight. Thank you!!!!

Can't beat the value for what the resort offers. The combination of free wifi, easy to get in & out of, central to a lot of restaurants and attractions, and a great family waterpark make Coco Key a great place to stay for someone who is coming with a family and wants to easily access all of the Orlando area.

Our 2 night stay was fine. The service was great from the hotel staff, very accommodating. Anytime we need something it was no problem, they were pleased to be of assistance. Tradewinds restaurant not so much. I felt we were an inconvenience to them. The worst service I've ever had. And the woman insulted me under her breath when she had to come back to the register to help me. I now know why the place was empty.

The kids were over the moon with this place. We liked it too! Family centered, friendly and affordable. It was the cherry on the sundae. Rooms were well appointed and perfect for the four of us. The pool and play area are awesome. The meals you can get poolside are reasonable and kid approved. We had a teenager and a 9 year old who adored their little vacation here. Maybe next time we'll skip Universal.

Stayed at CoCo Key for 2 nights for a conference. Great property - very clean! A real value. Lots of fun things for families to do onsite and nearby. All interactions with staff were a pleasure. Everyone was attentive and very helpful. All smiling faces! Definitely somewhere to come back and stay with the kids! Best part is a WATERPARK onsite!

Before I stayed here I read the reviews. Most were bad and I was very nervous about staying here with my kids. Apparently people only complaint when it's bad and when it's good they don't take their time to write a good review. So I will do that! They were great. Clean! Very modern and it wasn't as loud as these people were complaining about. It was perfect. Maybe it's because I am not rich and don't expect to stay at a place where the employees will massage my feet. But this place was great and the location was great. That is all I can say. And if u are thinking of staying there, just do it. Don't waste your time reading these negative reviews. You won't be disappointed.

I stayed at CoCo Key for 2-nights to attend a training and found the entire experience to be positive. The rooms were clean and served their purpose, the front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming and did a good job of getting me to my room as it is a bit of a maze to get to the 5th floor of the tower. I utilized the Tradewinds restaurant and had great service with nice food quality. The F&B director (Chris?) was always out and about and incredibly approachable and wanting to ensure everything was to our expectation. Tradewinds is conveniently connected to the arcade which was a blast to spend some time in (I highly recommend the laser field game). The gift shop was well stocked and prices were more reasonable then others I have been in. The meeting rooms were clean and the hospitality staff was always on top of the beverage and snack services. I'd also comment on the proximety to great restaurants. We went out both nights and found great food options with little to no fear of walking around at late hours. Overall it was a great stay and I'd look forward to returning.

The only negative about the hotel was the fact that I called around 9 am and told the front desk that the bath tub was not shutting off all the way and they said they would have it fixed. I had to go to sleep with that on at 4am still. Everything else was very convenient and the staff were super friendly.

Everyone was so wonderful at CoCo Key!! The staff was friendly, attentive to our needs and courteous!! The room was wonderful/clean. I did have a noisy fan in the bathroom but since I didn't spend a lot of time in the bathroom and could get by with not turning on the light the majority of the times it was not a hinderance. I loved the little area to put on make-up and do your hair, it was so nice to NOT have to stand in the bathroom or elsewhere in the room to do this task. I also liked the little table that could be pulled up to the bed or chair, I was able to relax in bed and use my laptop without having to place it on my lap. Everywhere I went in the hotel I was met with a friendly hello and smile. Thank you for having us.

Was recently at the Resort for a business meeting. I enjoy waterparks so staying at this hotel was a plus! All Staff I encountered was happy to answer any questions I had. The middle pool looks like it would be great to relax at if it was a little warmer while I was there. The waterpark maintenance employees really took a passion for the work they were doing.

Very much enjoyed a five day stay at Coco Key. Stayed on the fifth floor. The room was clean, nicely appointed with a small refrigerator and valuables safe. Housekeeping was excellent and the rooms was suprisingly quiet. There is an on-site convenience store with snacks plus a restaurant and bar adjacent to the waterpark. Food was good. A number of restaurants were within easy walking distance. The guest pool was a nice size with plenty of chairs/lounges. The staff was invariable friendly and helpful. Check-in and out was quick and hassle free. Has free computer access in the lobby - perfect for printing out boarding passes. Wifi is free and consistently reliable.

Our stay at CoCo Key was amazing. The staff was very friendly, they greeted and talked to you as if they knew you. Except for a few very minor details the rooms were very nice and clean. We asked for new towels and literally within a minute she was at our door with the towels. We didn't get to experience the water park because it was closed during the time we was there, but opened the day we was leaving but we kept in mind that it was January. Other then that the hotel is amazing with relaxing areas by the pool, an arcade, restaurants on site, and the daily activities that they have. The location was amazing, right in the middle of the strip on International Drive you really don't have to drive you can enjoy the view and walk the strip. It has lots of food places, stores, other water parks, golfing, arcades, and much more. The second best part of the location is that you are in central Disney, so we were just minutes away from downtown Disney, Orlando studios, and all the Disney parks. We already plan on coming back and bringing other people with us.

We have stayed at Coco Keys as a family of 12 in 2010 & then as a family of 13 in 2013. I cannot say enough nice things about this hotel, the staff & water park! Both times we stayed for two weeks, both holidays were amazing, Coco keys played its part in making the holiday unforgettable ones. The hotel itself is spotlessly clean, crisp white sheet, clean walkways & well groomed planted areas. The water park kept the children, small & large entertained on the days that we were taking a break from theme parks. The lifeguards around the pool are polite, friendly & vigilant. They are constantly scanning the water to ensure the safety of all in the water. There are a number of food establishments, they are spotlessly clean, the food is good, the staff are friendly & polite. The onsite shop is good value & well stocked. There was a gentleman in the shop on our 2013 holiday who was amazing, he really made us feel welcome. A very sweet man! The outdoor pool was fantastic when we fancied a little quiet time with the children. We holidayed both times in October & even though the water park could be busy, the outdoor pool tended to be quieter. Again the pool area was clean & tidy. There was also plenty of shade for adults, children & babies! You can safely say as a three generation family that we can't get enough of coco keys & we can't wait to stay there again!

It's January and 85 degrees, guess what the kids want to do? Swim! But our pool at home is way too cold so we decided to check out the water park at Coco Key. We have been here before, both as a day guest and as an overnight guest with mixed reviews. We arrived right at 11 and were among the first to enter the water park. Although it never got really crowded. The kids (12 and 10) had a blast. The pools were well heated and clean. The slides were not heated, but it was warm enough outside that it didn't matter. The lifeguards are very watchful and good with the kids. There are tons of dining options within walking distance of the hotel. There is also a quick service place right there with Pizza Hut and other options (salads, chicken strips, burgers, etc.) which is pretty good considering it's just a quick service place. There is a full service bar that provided friendly service (we received a buy 1 get 1 free beer or wine coupon at check in). There is also a sit down place to eat, but we didn't go there. We had such a good day we decided to stop by the front desk on the way out and see if there were rooms available for the night so we could enjoy the water park again the next day. There was and we were checked in by a quick and friendly young lady. We already had extra clothes so all we had to do was make a quick trip to Walgreens (also within walking distance) for some toiletries. Our room was a "family room", which is 2 rooms that connect. Although the hotel is older, the rooms were clean and much bigger then the typical Orlando hotel room. The kids spent some time in the game room (which they loved) and the main pool and hot tub (warm and clean). While I spent some time reading in one of the free cabanas (nice touch!). The next day we spend at the water park again and had a great time (we wish the water park had longer hours). One thing I would suggest is to make sure you bring your own shampoo and conditioner. The amount that is supplied is not enough (especially for long hair) after a day of swimming. There are laundry facilities and you don't need coins, they take credit cards. We did a little laundry and upon arriving home instead of the $2.50 charge per machine we were expecting, we were charged $14 per machine. But once the charges went from pending, they turned into $2.50 charges, so that turned out ok...not sure why it did/does that though. I would definitely recommend this hotel and water park to anyone that has kids, everything is really geared towards them and that makes for a more relaxing time for the adults! We will surely be back.
