The beach is right across the boardwalk at walking distance, the pool is delightful and there's restaurants all around the area to choose from. Rooms are very comfortable and roomy. I have stayed here several times and have never had a bad experience. If your looking for a quick affordable getaway... This is the place to come to.. Highly recommended..!

"Historic and neat"
This place is cool and neat. It's very historic in feeling and I personally enjoyed staying here. If you want posh don't go here. It was clean and on the beach. I felt as if I had stepped back in time and for me a history buff, is awesome. Good service: good pool.

"frugal rates fpg"
i would stay there again. the pool was everything i wanted. we walked on the beach, just out side our door. the staff was helpful and professional, i.e., Dan. We asked for a late check out and that was not problem. I wish the parking was free but at these frugal rates Hollywood Beach Resort Cruise Port Hotel was still a bargain. i give them 5 stars.
"Nice place but humid"
I stayed two weeks at this hotel which is very well located on the beach and in the middle of the boardwalk with all the restaurants, bars and shops. The boardwalk and the beach are incredible. The trolley is across the street and it is easy to go around and visit the historical downtown. The room was clean and cute with a very practical kitchen (oven, microwave oven ...). The swimming pool is beautiful (though a little small) with comfortable chairs and umbrellas.The staff of the Hollywood Beach hotel is nice and helpful but it seems there are two hotels at the same place and you never know who you have to talk to ... The first floor of the hotel is a mall and they serve a very good espresso. You have serveral shops if you forget the sunscreen or your umbrella and if you want to buy clothes. You are not far from everything you can do in Hollywood Beach. Overall, this is a nice place to stay.
"Relaxing Vacations."
I have been visiting this Hotel since 1980,this vacation wasn't the different,but the Hotel need inmediate renovation.The service at front desk,was excellent,special for employee,Jorge,very kind and helpful person,Thanks,Jorge.Other than that,we stay for a week,without any problem.I will comeback,next year.

We had a really good time at Hollywood Beach Resort Hotel. The Studio is nicely remodeled and we enjoyed the beach and Famous Hollywood Boardwalk. There are ways to save money when You rent directly from the owners of the Hotel studios, not directly from the hotel. Owners keep Studios very nicely updated. Great Place for relaxing. We are coming back soon!
"Right place, right price"
The resort was less resort and more upscale single level hotel. The common areas were beautiful and inviting,the suites were adorable and just bug enough for my fiancee and I. The free WiFi is great, so bring a laptop and an hdmi cable to enjoy Netflix on the flat screens while it rains (it is Florida afterall). The beach is nicely groomed and the hotels location is close to the best restaurants on the boardwalk. For lunch, Walk across the street for the best sandwich and salad deal, then after tanning; walk down the boardwalk for a pitcher of beer and an amazing large pizza for dinner for very cheap. Late night snack? Walk to taco beach shack and enjoy amazing desserts, great tacos and 2 dollar margaritas. The beach patrol does not enforce the no alcohol policy as long as you aren't belligerent. Overall, a wonderful stay for a fantastic value.
"Better than expected"
We were supposed to have a petite suite but this was anything but petite. We had a fully equipped kitchen, a large lounge and dining room and a separate bedroom with a walk in wardrobe. It wasn't overlooking the ocean but it was pretty impressive. The hotel must have had a problem with security because you had to use a key card to access the lifts. There were only 3 lifts so sometimes there was a wait to use them. There is a pool and fitness room which again can only be accessed with the key card. The location of the hotel is great. It's right opposite the beach.

This hotel resort is just what I need when I need to get away and relax. "Great"
I spent four nights , the room was clean, refrigerator and stove was clean and in good working order, I was able to purchase groceries and cook. The air condition worked fine . My room was perfect I had a very large one bedroom suite .

Staff was more then nice always accommodating with a smile! Some were really Funny too! Right on the beach with shops right under the hotel we never had to rent a car or anything because the location was perfect.
"Hollywood Beach Resort Cruise Port Hotel"
Past reviews vary on this property, but we have never had a bad experience at this hotel. This was our third visit. It is not a 5 star hotel, but staff, room cleanliness, nice pool area, and convenience to the Boardwalk makes this property a nice stay for anybody. The price is right in enjoying a sunset or a sunrise near the ocean and on the beach. We will definitely book at this hotel again.
"good value for money-safe place-nice beach-good bed-a/c worked good"
Overall We were very happy with our stay. People need to be realistic with what they expect- We used to stay at 4 star hotels but my income fell apart when the economy dropped in 2008 so our family has learned to live with less. This is an old hotel, The rooms are a little dated but the A/C worked fine, it was clean, the bed was good and the location was great-there are several things on the boardwalk that you can walk too. The beach is cllean and nice. You can buy food at the local market and fix meals in your room. I think it is a very good value-the only reason I didn't give them a top score is because some kids had removed all the pins from the exercise equipment in the work out room so I couldn't get in my daily workout. We will stay at this hotel again in the future.
"Back for another birthday"
This is my 3rd year coming to this hotel. Can't say enough about the service and treatment I get from all the staff here. With some of the changes taking place with this property the staff have had to endure some challenges from the guests. However, I treat them how I like to be treated and each and every time i stay here my room seems to get better. This hotel is full of character but may not have the latest and greatest of some of world traveller expectations. The rooms are constantly being updated but the property is maintaining the grand old look in the right places. Thank you all front desk staff, to name a few, Danny, Connie, Lena, Sergio, Hortese, Winsome, and Jennifer. Oliver, as always excellent service. Bill welcome, goo job. Maintenance crew, and housekeeping excellent at your jobs, thank you. Kristy you are the best.
"Quit griping and enjoy!"
My wife and I have been coming here for about 15 years. We were here 4 times in the last year alone. It seems that one's perspective on the property is purely a matter of personal preference and we like it very much. We have never had anything but top notch service and friendly employees, which may be because we don't walk around griping and moaning about every little thing as some others seem to do. The location, pool and spa are fabulous and we enjoy walking the length of the Broadwalk each morning and finding new breakfast spots. There are plenty of activities available and...oh yeah.....there is the ocean and miles of beach. If you can't come here and relax, than I am afraid there is not much chance you will relax anywhere. I suggest you book a stay, keep an open mind, quit griping and enjoy!
"Hollywood Beach Resort Hotel, Hollywood, FL"
While this is an older hotel, it is on the upswing. You get a lot for your money. The pool and hot tub is second to none. It is conveniently located on the broadwalk, lots of walking and biking and restaurants. Near the water taxi which you can take to Ft. Lauderdale for $20 all day. Trolley for $1.00 a ride. Do not need a car here. Right on the beach. The hotel has lots of ammenities for the price for sure. Suggest using VRBO for lots of choices. By the way the elevators smell fine. Other reviewers said they smelled, not so.
"Great location"
Stayed here during our 3 week vacation, its a nice hotel and very clean, ideal location for the beach and the boardwalk. There are some good restaraunts and bars along the boardwalk but its just a shame 0'Malleys is no longer open, it was a bar right by the hotel but is now closed. There was also laundry facilities at this hotel which we found very usefull, would come back again for sure....

My mother and I have been coming here now for eight years. Wouldn't dream of going to any other hotel in Fort Lauderdale area. Clean room, great security, friendly staff, and residents, nice restaurant, great pool, and beautiful location.
"AHHHMazing Beach!!"
Wow, I can't believe how picky some people are!! The room was clean, had a sink, stove, fridge, micro and coffee pot, everything we needed, Im surprised I even saw all that because I was in there long enough to throw my bags and change into my suit!! The location was perfect, beach is not crowdede and PERFECT! On the boardwalk. Yes the hotel is under some sort of renovation, its cut up kind of strange.. but it was $96 a night for an oceanfront room!! Pool and hot tub are clean and huge, bar was cheap enough. There is a $10 night resort fee and $18 valet parking, or $15 in the garage next door, but that still only puts you at $124 a night.. Didnt leave the beach all weekend and swam in the ocean all day!!

the location is everything... we have stayed at this location multiple times whenever we go on a cruise... place is clean and staff are very friendly...BUT being on the broadwalk is awesome... restaurants, shops, beach, bikes...great for walking ... buffet breakfast is included and is sufficient.. if you want eggs, bacon, etc you can order that too ...we did notice this time that the hotel seems to be going all condos so they do seem to cater to those clients but everything was just fine and will definitely return...

I have been staying here now for about 3 years when I travel down to South Florida a very good hotel and the staff is very friendly, and very clean rooms, never a problem. This is a very good hotel would recommend too any travelers, it is also very location friendly to the beach and the boardwalk.
