"viva fiesta"
booked hotel indigo at the last minute and was very pleasantly surprised they had a cancellation! Excellent service from start to finish. Even had a room with a view of the night parade. Room was nicely furnished and unique. They shuttled us over to King William & recommended other festivities that were taking place that weekend. Would definitely stay again....maybe for New Years Eve!
thx for a great weekend get away!!!
"Excellent location. Superior Staff"
Located across the street from the Alamo you couldn't ask for a better location. All new boutique hotel with a combination of marble, wood, and a historic feel. Staff was very friendly and always ready to help. Parking is difficult downtown so use the valet and save the hassle.
"Best Value We Could Find"
We used to stay at a Travelodge with a decent location when visiting San Antonio but it appears to have slid downhill and lost its brand. So we decided to play it safe and go upscale this time. The problem with Riverwalk hotels is that besides being expensive you have to pay $30/night to have a valet hide your car. The Indigo was the perfect solution. Yes, they have a valet service that immediately tries to take your car a block or two away, but immediately beside the hotel is a public lot with a machine that charges $15 for 24 hours and $20 for 48. That way your car is conveniently close in a brightly lit lot.
As for the hotel itself, it's a higher line of the Holiday Inn chain and they specialize in restoring grand old buildings with good central locations. Therefore the hotel was very clean with modern fixtures, furniture and bedding. Our room was a decent size and the service was very personable.
"Weekend getaway"
I had the pleasure of staying at one of the best hotel's in San Antonio, TX. The custom service me and my received was second to none. Jake and Liz team were professional, caring and helpful to all they encountered. I recommend this hotel for romantics or family. We will be back!!!
"Had a great stay!"
Recently traveled to SA for a business trip & this was the perfect place to stay. The staff was very personable & they were able to accommodate an early check-in for us as well.
Rooms were spacious, clean, & contemporary. The location was perfect & within walking distance of my meeting at the Gunter. It is directly off the corner of The Alamo, so this makes it a versatile location for those wishing to visit this historical attraction. The Riverwalk is within 5 minutes walking distance for restaurants, bars, etc.
Valet parking is an additional fee, but this gave me more security than parking behind the building in the non-secured open garage.
Breakfast is also additional, but conveniently located in the restaurant adjacent to the hotel. Overall, I was extremely pleased with our stay & will stay here again!
"AMAZING VISIT"
was in San Antonio for the week and TOTALLY enjoyed my stay at Hotel Indigo....Sy the bartender, Manny, Lydia, Samantha, Jake, are the ABSOLUTE best they all made my visit totally amazing Jose the Chef makes the most AMAZING Guacamole and i am not a fan of Guacamole but the way he makes it I am in love ..... Sy the best bartender EVER..... Jake thanks for taking care of everything and driving me around BEST Ever. Going to breakfast every morning Lydia took care of me and always greeted me with "Good Morning what would you like to drink." Manny you are the best convincing my to try different foods for dinner you rock and so does the house wine.. If you ever get a chance you MUST stay at Hotel Indigo on North Alamo in SA
"Service oriented"
Great and personal customer service from warm and friendly to curbside valet service, wonderfully shared stories about the history of San Antonio especially Jake and drivers, very professional, and courteous. Room was great too, 1 exception was not having small fridge for cold stuff. Loved looking at the skyline and Alamo at night with easy access to the Riverwalk and so much more. We'll be back soon. The front desk and Bistro personnel really terrefic
"Annual Meeting held in the Conference Room"
Annual meeting at this location with members coming in from various regions of the US. Guests booked rooms at the hotel. Conference was for 3 days and the conference room was setup the exact way we had requested with. Everything was great. Staff was very accommodating with whatever our needs. A staff member was available whenever we needed, if not, it was only a few minutes. Food was excellent, breakfast, lunch, and snacks, all prepared in their Bistro. Convenient to the river and other sights that the guests may have wanted to see.
Definitely planning to have our meeting there next year.

"Wonderful location, beautiful views, charming hotel."
Had a great experience here. The hotel is lovely with great views and is in a prime location. This is where we'll stay when traveling to SA from now on. The room was comfortable and clean. We were very satisfied with the cost and accommodations.
"Great Location"
The area is perfect for walking to the Alamo or to the River Walk.
Stayed here with a friend for the night and Liz was nice enough to give us an early check-in.
The room is very nice, not huge, but spacious. Loved that they supplied us with Aveda products! I'm not sure if they have bathtubs, but we had a stand-up shower bathroom, perfect water pressure too! The only thing is the towels and sink are located outside of the bathroom.
There was a tray of water bottles and a Snickers bar when we arrived which was a sweet treat. They have a bistro/bar you can charge whatever you order to your room and it's only a hallway away from the front desk.
There's also a large screen at the front desk to help with any recommendations (you can also take a picture with it!)
Recommend this place to anyone in the area
"Nice place to remember the Alamo"
There's a lot of touristy, overpriced restaurants and attractions in downtown San Antonio so it was nice to find a hotel that seemed a decent value AND had such a friendly staff. My wife insisted that I review this hotel since she had such a pleasant experience here. That's pretty rare in itself.
We upgraded to a room overlooking the Alamo and, though the windows were dirty and the views somewhat obscured, we enjoyed the high ceilings and the extra changing room. I learned that when they built this hotel, they discovered cannons thought to have been within the original Alamo fortifications. I really enjoyed the feeling of history here.
On the plus side, it's a very short walk to the Riverwalk restaurant complex and even a shorter walk to the Alamo, the Rivercenter Mall and the hop-on/hop off bus services. There is a conscientious effort made to provide superior service here. We even enjoyed our breakfast in the hotel's bar/cafe, the server there quite chatty and amiable.
"Lovely hotel in great location"
Charming hotel in the heart of downtown. We got in late Saturday and were expecting a semi-suite (the website says the king leisure room has a sofa), but front desk didn't seem to have that option -- in any case we were upgraded to a suite the next night no charge and loved our room -- wood floors, huge walk in shower, lots of light, great bed and lovely decor. Great restaurant tip from the staff -- Rosario's is excellent. Adequate workout room in the basement, free coffee every morning from the restaurant. Would definitely return.
"Great room and location"
My girlfriend and I enjoyed this surprisingly quiet hotel. A half block away from the Alamo, with a slight view of it and the tower, and 2-3 blocks from several entrances to the Riverwalk the location the hotel is near a main road and a nice tourist area. Yet we were never bothered by any crowd noise or even noises from the construction going on nearby. The staff was very accommodating and the bartender working the hotel bar was very friendly to us. The 40's office design of the lobby, and hotel hallways, was pleasingly different and hid the very modern design of the hotel room.
"Nice weekend trip getaway."
We arrived at the hotel and were greeted upon arrival. Check in was very easy and staff was very nice. Location is very good and close to the Alamo. The restaurant/bistro inside the hotel served good food and again the staff was very friendly. I would recommend staying at this hotel as it is very nice and clean and comfortable.
"Great hotel"
Let me first say this is one of the best hotels I've stayed at in the past year! From the moment I walked in, excellent customer service. Everyone was very friendly and went above and beyond. They include a car service for free. The location is great and is within walking distance to all the main locations and sites. The room was tastefully decorated and clean. The breakfast that was included was also great. Came in late night and they had cookies in the lobby and v water infused with fruit. I would definitely stay here again if in town!
"Birthday weekend"
This hotel is in the best spot downtown! Close to everything. The hotel is beautiful with a great view. Bed was comfortable & pillows nice & fluffy! Staff was wonderful & very knowledgeable about things to do. Will recommend to anyone & will definitely stay again!
"Nice classy old building Hotel"
The hotel is very conveniently located it is a classy old building and the Bistro inside is cosy and welcoming. Specially the cook was kind enough to chat and welcome me for a minute or so. Jessica and Chef Chellie made me feel cared for and welcomed. This kind of details make a difference!
"Can't Complain!"
This beautiful historic hotel is amazing. Each staff member was very helpful, and I feel bad I can't remember their names, but I do remember Jakes name. Such a great spirit & very funny! He drove us around to a location down town for a hair cut and was just so knowable about everything down town, including our hotel! I can't wait to go back!
"Super staff, great location"
I stayed at the Hotel Indigo for a weekend trip w a friend. As soon as we pulled up, we were given a friendly greeting by the valet, who let us leave the car so we could check in. Once inside, we were given a warm welcome, and some suggestions on what to do. They gave us a ride to/from the amazing cathedral light show (that was recommended....Great choice) and even let me take my dog along.
The location is right adjacent to the Alamo, and close to the Riverwalk. Would definitely stay there again!
"Awesome Service"
My daughter came to visit me in Texas so we took a trip to San Antonio for the weekend. I've stayed at the Hotel Indigo at the Alamo a few years ago and loved it. I booked again and the experience was twice as good as the first time. Chellie, Jessica and Chef Raul really took great care of us in the restaurant for our morning breakfast. The food was great and the coffee perfect. Jake was very helpful as we checked into the room and he suggested a few restaurants to try and even provided transportation to and from the restaurant. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in San Antonio.
"Sy Rocks"

"Amazing Bartender Sy"
Sy was an amazing bartender. He was fast and really friendly!!From the moment I walked in he greeted me with a smile and then took my order within a minute of me sitting down. The food was great and came out in just a few minutes after I ordered.Priced very reasonable!
