Ocean Breeze Nuevo Vallarta

The beach was gorgeous and the pool was great too. The employees were all amazing. We felt so welcomed and loved. Antonio and Pablo were always getting us new drinks and anything we needed from the kitchen or bar. The activities staff was so fun to be around also! Karla, Nacho and jos always had new games to play and things to talk about. We all became like friends and I want to go back soon!!

This is a newer hotel, clean and well maintained. If you need to be at a posh 5 star, not the hotel for you. But if your goal is to enjoy hot weather, good food and a few drinks, clean facilities and a relaxed poolside, you can do a lot worse than this hotel. We have stayed here 2 years in a row and will probably return in 2014. My only negatives in two stays would be the light water pressure in the shower(although it is a spacious marble bathroom) and the fact they consider Hornitos to be a premium tequila and will charge above the all-inclusive price. I think if you are going to vacation in the tequila heartland, they should be more liberal with it.

The place is great, the service could not be better! I really enjoyed my stay, except for the really loud music they have by the pool. Most of the people just wanted to rest or read quietly. Also, check-out is at 10 am! I really, really don't agree with that policy. It's a good place to go with your whole family.

All I can say is awesome & super, great pool, great food etc etc. the room was just fine but if you like 5 & 6* this isn't the place for you. Staff was pretty awesome as a whole. There are some minor things - I found the bed a little hard which was rectified. I wish there was better English speaking staff at the front desk on every shift; but we got by just fine & my Spanish improved.

We also consider ouselves VERY lucky to have selected the Ocean Breeze Nuevo Vallarta, among the many we considered. From January 5 thru 13 we had the great pleasure of experiencing the wonderful staff, very clean and nice rooms, nice pool, great food and beach a stone's throw away. We agree with the reviews by Sonja D, from Medicine Hat, Canada, BoltonInxc from Toronto, Canada and the many others who have but positive things to say about this resort. What a great place for a great price. The old clich "If it seems to good to be true...it probably is" cannot be applied in this case. Should we ever decide to return to the Nuevo/Puerto Vallarta area on one of our annual trips to warmer climates, the Ocean Breeze will be at the top of the list. Tip appropriately folks! The waiters, maids and all the hotel staff more than earn it. Many of us have no qualms at all going out for a $100 or more supper up here, and leaving a 10% - 20% tip. You don't have to tip that much down there, but don't be a skin-flint either. You will be pampered beyond any expectation by tipping generously. Talk about being able to relax! As others have already mentioned, by being a smaller resort and partial time-share, the younger often loud, partying 'till all hours crowd does not exist. The pool is more than adequate and the beach is wonderful. Again, being a smaller resort, there are always pool or beach loungers available. Tip as you should, and you will never want for a drink or a cold cerveza whether laying by the pool or spread out on the beach. There are a few locals passing by with their wares for sale, but they are minimal and are not annoying and aggressive like in some other places. So, what's the down side? Not much. There are no small bar fridges in the rooms or coffee makers, which can be a bit annoying if one wants to keep their refreshments cold. But Miguel or any of the other waiters at the bar will be more than happy to fill up a bucket with cold beer and ice for you to take back to your room. The restaurant doesn't open 'till 7:00am, so to have a caffiene fix in the early morning before heading out for the day or for an excursion or tour is difficult. If you do decide to sign up for an adventure, Vallarta Adventures is there daily and will be more than happy to accomdate. There are no pickups right at the hotel for anything you sign up for, but Vallarta Adventures is only a short and pleasurable 10 minute walk away, or a 25 peso taxi ride. Even though you are provided with a wrist band that indentifies you as all-inclusive, you still need to provide your room number and sign your bill for each meal and the drinks you consume. But these are all minor annoyances, and the peacefulness, quality of the resort,wonderful food and fantastic staff by far outweighs them. If you have a couple of thousand dollars you are having trouble deciding what to do with...it would be a shame if you didn't book an all-inclusive to the Sea Garden Ocean Breeze, Nuevo Vallarta.

we stayed for an all inclusive week,January 12th-19th,,,, absolutely wonderful,helpful and very friendly staff. Buffets only happened on certain nights ,,so we ordered from the menus,,and the food was fantastic. Our rooms were spotless,,,maids were so pleasant. Only negative was that we had ordered a king bed but had to settle for 2 doubles!!!! A special thank-you to Hermiljo for your special care and sevice for us,,and setting up our cool sunset candlelight dinner,,,you rock!!! My husband and I travelled to Ocean Breeze during Christmas week. We have stayed in Neuvo Vallarta 5 times now but first time at this resort because it was more affordable. This hotel is half time-share, half all-inclusive, we being all inclusive. WERE WE LUCKY! I just absolutely loved the staff for all meals...buffet was only on weekends so the rest of the days we ordered off a menu with the most delicious dishes. Food prices expensive but we had the freedom of picking whatever we wanted. Talk about being pampered and spolied, you'll definitely get it here! I can't say enough about how wonderful the staff were from Chef to Manager to Waiter. No crowds or drinking idiots around...no line ups...oh and we tipped but we certainly weren't forced to because these people are so happy to make you happy. No entertainment at night but it didn't matter because we would take the bus over to Liverpool Mall, visit the casino then take a cab back...even the cabdrivers are pleasant. A 40 minute walk to Starbucks which was nice or pay 3.75to get a cab back! Important points to remember... Isaac - bartender from 5 pm to 1 am. Funny and wonderful! Ernesto-oversees the dinner at night for restaurant. Alex-front desk manager Once you pay flights, airport transfers, food, liquor, even coffee was 3$ a cup, i would rather continue to go all inclusive...you never look at prices and in this case, i saw how lucky we were with what we ate and drank! Anyway to conclude this is our 11th time to Puerta and Neuvo Vallarta and NO ONE can tell us we didn't make an excellent choice! Don't be afraid to try it.

My wife and I recently stayed for a week in the Ocean Breeze. The rooms were spotless, with housecleaning staff making what seemed like several visits per day. Daily tips (20 pesos) bring them out in force. The front desk staff, bellhops and waiters were always friendly and the hotel had a more mature ambience without the younger, partying louts you often find at some other spots. The hotel may not be as lavish as the newer Grand Lux and Grand Bliss down the road but in the oceanview rooms you're closer to the beach and can enjoy the sound of waves crashing ashore. The restaurant and snack bar food was decent but we preferred sampling the local restaurants within walking distance -- try Eddie's, Pour Que Nos, La Coin and Prime 159. Maggie, who acts like a concierge while doing the old time-share sign-up, is a delight, providing plenty of information about the area, what to do and where to go. But if you feel the least bit vulnerable, don't agree to the time-share presentation even with the offer of discounts to attractions and hotel charges. All in all a very nice hotel, lovely pool and foliage, and diligent staff keeping everything clean.

This was our second stay at the Ocean Breeze and we enjoyed it very much. The rooms are spotlessly maintained by a diligent and friendly housekeeping staff and the small property is lush and gorgeous. The food is consistently fantastic. The lobby has a beautiful waterfall feature that creates a serene atmosphere. The staff are absolutely wonderful, especially Miguel Moreno and Monica, who are the BEST beach servers ever. Monica remembered what we like to drink from our visit three months ago! The front desk staff are great and ALL the restaurant staff including Iris, Edgar, Allejandro, Efrain, Fernando, Mario, Alan and others whose names I didn't catch, are total professionals, fun, friendly and attentive. The staff really bring quality to this place. I saw the woman who maintains the lobby area walk by one of the sofas, then she stopped, turned around, and fluffed up one of the cushions. Her attention to detail pretty much sums up the whole place.

First I have to say that it was our second time in mexico and it was surely the best ! Room: We did not get the beach view (we did not want to pay for that) and we did not spend a lot of time in our room but I think next time we will try it ! The room was clean almost 2-3 times a day. The women who were cleaning the room were very nice, always giving us chocolate. There is no balcony but there are big windows that you can slide over. The AC worked fine and the bathroom was always really clean. Beach: We went there on spring break and we did not even have to reserve chairs. The beach is clean and there is not a lot of people trying to sell you things. You just tell them no and they understand. There are a lot of waves in the ocean, we really liked that because if we wanted to relax in the water we went to the pool and when we wanted to have fun we went in the ocean. Pool: The pool is heated (YESSS) and there are two sides; one for the kids and one for the adults with the pool bar. The guy at the pool bar is really nice, always refilling our drinks when finished. Food: We liked to food so much! the omelets were so delightful and each night there is a different theme of food. There is only one restaurant since the resort is small but the food was always good. There is a snack bar, good pizzas, nachos, fajitas etc. Also, a thing that we really liked, we were always spending the beginning of the afternoon on the beach and people were coming to us to take our orders for drinks.. didn't even had to walk to the bar.. really nice! Team: Everybody was so nice to us! Since it is a small resort.. everybody remembered us and even which drink we wanted etc. We had a lot of fun with Tony and Javier.. I even dropped some tears when we left. Such nice guys !! Pedro at the bar is really fun too and the people working at the restaurant were so nice too. When we were away for one day, they were always asking us what we did and if we had a nice day. They NEVER asked us for any tips, we simply gave them some at the end of the trip. Nightlife: Not complicated.. there is no nightlife! We are young adults (19 years old) and we had fun anyway. The bar is pretty much empty every night, but we had a lot of fun with the staff anyway! People tend to be older at this resort but there were all nice person, we had a lot of fun and we met some extraordinary people! If you want to relax and have fun in a resort, this is the place you have to go !!!!! We want to go back there for a month next year.. we had so much fun !!!! :D

This hotel is under appreciated and under utilized. Being the lowest end sister hotel of the grand mayan hotel chain in Nuevo Vallarta (Riveria Nyarite), I had low expectations but am happy to say I've been proven wrong. The food was fantasic and plentiful with a lot of variety. The staff were ALWAYS up to par....and beyond. Premium beer and liquor was offered as this hotel has many rooms that are time share so they aim to keep those guests happy so the all inclusives get to enjoy that benifit as well. The pool is heated, which was super, and had a swim up bar where Ernesto and Pedro took great care of all of us! The bellmen were very helpful with directions when we wanted to take off site excursions. Told us what buses to take and where to get off. Front desk staff helped as much as possible but sometimes the language barrier was obvious. The olny draw back, which was not one for us. is not much of a night life. There is no nightly entertainment and 1 bar open which most often was found to be a ghost town. The time shares were mainly occupied by seniors which made for poolside entertainment thorught out the day just watching their routines. The beach front was beautiful with no end to the lounge chairs and palm tree umbrellas. Only a few times did we see beach vendors selling their wears. Otherwise it was pretty quiet. This hotel is very close (8 min walk) to puerto vallarta adventures where you can catch a boat and do some daily excursions. great company and the best entertainment we;ve had on any trip we've been on. Also there is a corner store right outside the resort at the corner od the property. they offer internet and have a bank machine. 10min away you'll find a taco place that is included as a restuarant from the resort. Awesome tacos!!! And deep fried icecream!!! There are many stands right off the resort that try to sell you time shares or give you free adventures if you sit in on a time share presention but just be polite and say no thanks. they're not agressive. Overall, we look forward to returning to this resort some day in the future and would recommend this to all interested in visiting Nuevo Vallarta ( Riveria Nyarite). And actually, we chatted to our plane mates who stayed at other resorts and they were disappointed with the service and the pressure by hotel staff to buy time shares so they wanted our hotel details for the next time they went to mexico. Absolutely NO complaints.

We found everything at Ocean Breeze to be excellent. I am a senior my daughter in her forties and my grandson 9 there was something for us all. Activities were plentiful heated poool a plus, room clean maid service was always done by 11.00am Pool bar sevice and food menu was great. Waiters on the ball you ordered and it was there in minutes. Breakfest buffet excellent dinner buffet 8 out of 10 could have been a better variety.

We have two small children (3&1), and we booked this vacation leaving Winnipeg just as a getaway from the winter blues. We were looking for something quiet and peaceful and did we find it. The setting is beautiful, lovely grounds and the pools are also very family friendly (and heated). The ocean view from our room was to die for and we could not have asked for better. Food and service was outstanding, they even had beachside drink and food service as well as poolside. The resort is small so not too much walking to do with kids, and the ocean is only 100 steps from the hotel. Rooms were clean and comfortable and the a/c worked, beds were firm but I prefer that over too soft. The hotel bar never seemed too busy but that kept the nights quiet so you could sleep with the balcony door open. We would return to the Ocean Breeze anytime.

Just got back from the Ocean breeze hotel. We had purchased the all inclusive package for 4 nights. Was not sure what to expect, but as soon as we arrived, we knew this was the right choice. The hotel exceeded all our expectations. I have traveled to PV about 12 times and this property was the best by far. The staff was just amazing. The food was very good, way better than the Riu. The grounds were a tropical delight and the pool was the warmest pool I have ever been in south of the US border. Check in was a quick and easy and we were pool side enjoying some delicious margaritas within 20 min of arriving. The best part of the trip was the staff. They do not know the word no at this resort and will do everyhing to make you happy. I just cant say enough about the helpful, friendly staff. Edgar, Fernando, Anahi, Efrain and Hermilo and the rest of the gang at Rumba restaurant, thanks for making this the best vacation ever. The guys at the swim up bar made us some great drinks and the service could not have been better.

Let me begin by saying after I booked this hotel I was a bit skeptical due to some of the reviews, but I will say none of the negative ones held any truth during our stay. What a bargain and the best food I have ever had at an all inclusive. You were catered to on the beach at the pool or in the restaurant. We thoroughly enjoyed our 10 night 11 day stay at the ocean breeze.

Small and quiet with excelent, friendly staff! Food was very good with quality choises at every meal. KILLER margeritas and a nice array of fancy coctails. We were all inclusive,but most guests were time share. It really cut down on drunkeness as drinks are quite expensive. Very quiet at night, bar almost empty. Rooms were good. Beach is great. We will return!!

We spent a week at the Ocean Breeze (Sea Garden) March 25 to April 1, 2011. We were a group of 8, with adults, teenagers and a 10 year old. Check-in was a bit behind schedule, but nothing serious, just an hour or so wait for our room. We passed the time by walking around, checking out the grounds. Beautiful! The grounds staff were constantly grooming & cleaning. Our rooms were just fine, clean and everything in great condition. Two of our rooms were ocean view and 2 were on the back side of the hotel. Of course the ocean view was beautiful but the "city/mountain" view was pretty at night and we had a good view of the little marina nearby. Omar our bartender at the pool bar was amazing, he made our trip! Thanks Omar!! The hotel staff were very friendly and always ready to do anything we needed, even though this is mainly a time share hotel, we were treated very well, as all inclusive guests. The food was always good, no matter what the nightly theme. We walked over to Taco Break, (Off the resort but included in our all inclusive package) for supper one night, excellent Mexican cuisine! Certainly nobody went hungry all week! I have to also put in a good word for Rosa, our SunQuest rep, she was a great help! Thanks Rosa!! We took a sightseeing trip with our taxi driver Alfonso, an excellent tour guide! Hats off to the Staff at Ocean Breeze, you helped make our week in beautiful Nuevo Vallarta that much better! We would return, no questions asked.

When we first booked our vacation to Mexico we were concerned about the safety because of everything you hear in the news. After spending a week in Nuevo Vallarta Ocean Breeze we found that this was not the case. We have been all over the Caribbean and Mexico and this destination ranks as one of the best. The staff was very courteous and always had a smile to offer. We highly recommend Ocean Breeze, the location is amazing, "Beautiful sunsets", the food was surprisingly good we want to thank the Edgar and Rodolfo for there great service, if there was one thing to improve on was to offer more nightly entertainment, they have a really nice piano bar which they can take advantage of. We also want to thank Sunquest especially Rosa, they always kept us informed with activities and made us feel at home. Hope to be back soon.

Thought I would drop a line to let travellers know that for an all inclusine this hotel was excellent. Staff were very attentive to your needs. After a harrowing time at the Puerto Vallarta Airport with the time share wolves the staff were able to upgrade us to an ocean view room after we had missed our bus to the hotel. Rosa from sunquest tours got us the room after explaining our displeasure at missing the bus. The food was excellent, the staff greating you every morning and evening at the door to the restaurant with a big smile. Omar and Angel the bar tenders for the swim-up and sports bar were friendly and entertaining as well. This hotel and staff were excellent.

My husband and I traveled to Nuevo Vallarta with our timeshare. Beautiful location and AMAZING pool! Over 1 mile in circumference! We had a great week. I became ill while there and the hotel brought a doctor to my room! Great service!!
