That was the most amazing place. I could'nt wait to wake every morning to look at the sand and the beach great views. The pool and the cabana was the best. They had all kinds of games that was so much fun. The had a great bar in the pool. We also had exercise in the pool. They have a great resturant at the pool. We ate there several times . We just finished a week vacation at the Grand Sirenis. We booked through BookVIP and I have to say that I'm extremely pleased with the entire trip, all the way from booking through the conclusion of the trip. We got a phenomenal deal and had an excellent trip!

Written Review

"Nice surprise"
We went to Sint Marteen and we had the chance to have a one day tour to Anguila. We loved very much Sint Marteen and were very delighted with the hotel. A little overpriced food but the place was very nice. So comfy, with a kitchenette. We recommend it.

"Stayvacation with the teenagers"
I celebrated my daughter's birthday at this hotel with 3 teenager girls. My favorite rooms were the kitchen, living room and porch. The kitchen was well equipped and all the appliances were in great condition. The living room was spacious and I was able to entertain the teens. I love the room's decor and the bed was so comfortable. The property was huge and there was so many restaurants bars and water sport activities in this area. I didn't like the breakfast that was severed however there are many other restaurants that I didn't try. There was no housekeeping for my 2 days stay but there was cleaning appliances that I used. I enjoyed my stay and will return in the future
"Vacation"
This resort is very beautifully located where you see wonderful sunsets. The one bedroom was very spacious and the two additional beds were excellent for my two children to sleep on. Direct access to one of their many pools made it simple to have fun without a long walks. Clean and beautifully decorated with a full kitchen. Great stay.
"My Birthday at Simpson Bay."
Love the location of this Property arrived a bit early my room wasn't ready so we waited a lil bit. In this location you are able to walk to alot of Restaurants, I prefer to stay on the Dutch side of the Island oppose to the French side. The room was clean and spacious. There are many pools on the Property and a Mini Market, Casino and Restaurants, and Laundry. I would recommend this Property and.definitely would return again.
"Beautiful but spread out"
We stayed here for our honeymoon and were not disappointed overall. Who can complain about the picturesque views and an immaculate, quiet one bedroom timeshare??? Our concierge was Odene - whom we loved - and she really took the time to attend to us any time she saw us in the lobby. Our room was all the way in the back of the resort next to private property, which unfortunately boasted a large flock of roosters. All day every day we heard roosters crowing, but thankfully not inside the room. (unavoidable, I know) The resorts beach was only okay and you must be prepared to hoof it around the grounds or take the shuttle. The roads in the resort were old and dangerously cracked. The restaurants (we only tried Isola) were not great and were overpriced so we walked into town and ate at the local places - very worth it!!!! Delicious and fresh seafood, of course at Lee's, Toppers, and Skipjacks. The resort had Aqua Mania Adventures which were so fun - we did snorkeling, a day trip to St Barths, and a dinner buffet cruise. This service (even though extra $) was worth it. Go to Shell Beach in St Barths!!! Incredible. The crew were so fun. The pools are awesome and the staff and security were helpful and always visible. Overall we were happy and thankful to be at a great place, but definitely not rooster people lol.
"Huge Resort!! Great beaches!"
Great place, felt like I had my own apartment, (full kitchen) felt very safe. The resort beaches were beautiful. Everything you need is nearby, (grocery store, restaurants) or onsite... (bars, convenient store, more restaurants), and at the onsite store I got 2 beers and a water for 4 bucks!!!! cant beat that!!! Easy to order a cab into town.
"Very nice hotel, friendly and smiling staff"
Lovely hotel, good location, nice room. We stayed in a small suite with well equipped modern kitchenette, small living space and bedroom with a perfect king size bed. The room was clean and housekeeping even washed our dishes every day. Beach was small but very nice and close to the famous plane-spotting Maho beach
"Amazing time in Paradise"
I read a lot of reviews and found that the reviews for this property were mixed. Well I am going to tell you that we got 5 Star treatment from Diego (our personal Concierge) and the whole team at Simpson Bay. The week was amazing, filled with lots of fun times in the sun, at the beach, at the onsite restaurants -- Bon Appetite was our fav. Overall, I was worried when I arrived having read all the poor reviews. However, the stay was exceptional, Diego was amazing, no pressure to buy a timeshare and the trips with Aqua Mania are so well done. We loved every minute and cannnot wait to go back to see all the smiling, happy faces at Simpson Bay Resort and Marina.
"Excellent stay."
Stayed in July, still here for the last night. Reserved a cheapest room, a studio. Was given instead huge (~800 sq feet) one bedroom suite with full kitchen and all dining supplies. 2 flat screens with all English channels, 2 ACs. That was actually very nice, as I cooled down the bedroom to sleep without a need to cool down entire apartment. Both ACs did not have a bottom limit, so if you want to sleep at 64 (as I prefer) you can do it. Free very decent Wifi. Beach was very good, not crowded, plenty of beds and shade available, sea is very clean almost no waves. Decent grocery store on the property, not expensive considering this location, prices similar to many US stores, alcohol is cheap. A lot of dining choices within 10 min of walking, some on the property, also a large grocery store within 10 min of waking. If you want to visit 2 biggest towns, no need to take a taxi, walk 5 min to the main road, and take a local bus (minivan) for $2. They run every 5 min and drivers are very nice to tourists, they will explain you where exactly you need to get off depending what you want to do. Also be aware, check out at 10 Sat. and Sun., but at noon other days. Also very limited housekeeping. Minor negatives: restroom was small, bedroom is quite dark and needed lights even during the day. Overall highly recommend.
"Beautiful property"
We spent a week here and thoroughly enjoyed our time. The one bedroom suite was spacious and the property was very nice and well maintained. We were a little apprehensive before arriving as I knew there was construction and I was afraid it would ruin the beach, but I was completely wrong! Barely noticed the construction and I'm sure the final product will be awesome. The resort staff were extremely helpful and nice and always had a smile. Especially the crew working the bar on the beach! We loved happy hour and those guys always had us smiling and feeling at home. :-) Thank you for a great time! Side note: fellow travelers aren't joking about the hills on this property! Just be prepared for the climb to some of the buildings. But I'm not complaining, because what are they supposed to do about that anyway? And it lends itself for awesome views even in rooms further away from the beach!
"Graduation vacation"
We had an amazing time at this resort. It exceeded our expectations and offered many activities. I would highly recommend this establishment. From check-in to our personal concierge, we had exceptional treatment. If you're considering an island vacation, choose St. Maarten and Simpson Bay Resorts!
"Refreshing Visit"
We throughly enjoyed our week at Simpson Bay -- there is currently construction going on in front of the Marina building, look forward to seeing the completed product. The facilities were well kept, our 1 bedroom villa was well equipped and worked well for our family of 4. We used the kitchen a lot. The activities crew were outstanding! They did a great job of encouraging participation -- we were at the resort with two other families; so the added value/entertainment was great. We will stay at Simpson Bay on another trip to St Martin!
"Loved the view from our balcony"
We spent 14 nights at this hotel in June. We were very happy with our room. Its nice, clean and good size. The view from our balcony over the bay is amazing. You could almost see the fish swiming below in the clear water. The cleaning of the room was veru well done and such nice people working there. Always so nice and friendly. It was lowseason which we liked very much! Not at all crowded. The pool almost empty somedays... Only thin we didn't like was to pay extra to be able to use the gym. and also our roomcards stoped working almost everyday... so we had to go to reception and get a new one. The area is perfect. Walking distence to supermarkets, bakerys, restaurants... We did go around the island a couple of times and we really liked Simpson Bay the best!
"Birthday stay"
I booked through an online hotel service and got a steal of a deal. I was in a completely renovated spacious room with a view of the bay and pools. Check in was efficient. However, my room wasn't ready when I arrive early and it was difficult to track down the concierge to hold my bags. There is a very nice local restaurant on site. Their breakfast of Johnny cakes and salt fish was tasty. I won some money at their casino as well on slots. The pools were nice and the activity coordinator was persistent. I won a prize in the swimsuit contest. It is a short walk across the beach to my favorite restaurant Lee's Grill. Be prepared to walk a little. The resort is spacious and hilly. I enjoyed my stay.
"Great stay"
It may be because we visited during a slow time, but they were super accommodating. We were able to check in early, got our room upgraded without asking, and we were given the Wi-Fi code without having to pay (it was advertised as $10 per day/$30 per week). The suite was great, but almost too large for 2 people. I could see it being very nice for a whole family, as it had pull out beds and a full kitchen. The resort in general had a family vibe. The beach for the resort was really nice, and each complex had their own swimming pool. The only downside was the layout. If you aren't in the main building it is difficult to get to the lobby or local shops. They have a shuttle but I would rather be able to walk.
"Girls Trip - Completely Satisfied"
We booked our room for 3 online and were very satisfied with the rate, I understand it is off season in June. Check-in was a little slow, but I believe there was a rush from the flight coming in, and many were staying at the resort. We arrived mid afternoon and our room was ready early, always nice! The resort is comprised of several buildings situated on a slope. Our building, Bougainvillea, was at the top of the hill near the full size swimming pool. The room was newly renovated. Nice tile, furnishings, a full kitchen with full size stainless appliances and a renovated bathroom. The beds were firm with a pillowtop, my favorite! The air conditioning was also updated and kept the room perfect! Nice to come back to a cool room after a long day on the beach. The resort offers shuttle service to anywhere on the resort, even from the beach to your room, just stop by any security post and they will call the shuttle for you (off season perk?). There are several restaurants on site, a casino and a piano bar. The pool area is kid friendly and has a swim up bar. If you mind kids or some occasional noise, you may not like a building near the pool. There are several other small pools that also looked nice. Free wifi (even though prices were posted) that was speedy and available everywhere we went on the resort, even the beach had a strong signal! There are many restaurants in walking distance of the resort on the main drag. Look close, a lot of the places are tucked behind another business. The staff and maid service were good after a $5 tip. Beach towels were issued one per person and had to be retrieved every day. Not uncommon, but it was a little bit of a hassle the last day. The resort is undergoing some major renovations on the beach front properties. The crews work week days all day. You can move down the beach a bit, but you can still hear them working. The beach is very calm, little to no waves. Chairs and umbrella huts are provided. We did rent a car to explore the island and go to different beaches. I'm glad we did! The car paid for itself several times vs. taking a cab to the airport, grocery store (Le Grand Marche) and a different beach each day.
"Would definitely stay again!"
The resort is not far from the airport and the surrounding Simpson Bay Area is a hive of activity. The room was beyond what i imagined. Very clean. spacious. Had everything you would need if you wanted to cook and entertain people. Staff was nice and friendly.
"Simpson Bay Resort Experience"
First time to St Maarten and Simpson Bay Resort & Marina. Resort was very nice, we had a newly remodeled room down by the bay. Staff nice and very friendly. Diego was very helpful with all our questions and wants. The room we had did not have a patio and they offered to move us. We decided to stay in room because of remodel and ground floor next to pool and beach. I recommend building M . Many great places to eat on resort property and dozens within walking distance. Hope to return soon.
