Why Stay Here?

Nestled slope-side on Blackcomb Mountain for the ultimate in ski-in/ski-out convenience

Spectacular mountain views with year-round heated outdoor pool and hot tubs

Full kitchens, balconies, complimentary wireless Internet access and fireplaces in every suite

Perfect! The Aspens is a true ski in-ski out. Only a 5-10min walk into town (depending on which section you want to go to). We parked our rented car in the underground garage and didn't see it again until we left. We booked through Bookvip.com. The grill on the patio was awesome -- we grilled dinner every night after soaking in the hot tub with the view of the mountains. Just perfect!

We just finished a week vacation at the Grand Sirenis. We booked through BookVIP and I have to say that I'm extremely pleased with the entire trip, all the way from booking through the conclusion of the trip. We got a phenomenal deal and had an excellent trip!

"Whistler-Blackcomb Ski In/Out Condo"
If you like the convenience of a ski in/out mountainside condo then the Aspens on Blackcomb is an ideal place to stay. We stayed in a 2 bedroom top floor unit (5th floor) that offers partial views of the runs and was very quiet. There is a rental shop on-site which we found to be excellent. You can roll out of bed, have some breakfast, pick up your skiis at the valet, walk over to the ski run and ski down to the lift line! During our visit we had fresh snow with over 20" the night before our last day of skiing! We traded our skiis (which you can do as often as you like) for powder models and had a blast on 7th Heaven which had plenty of the deep stuff. After skiing we'd hit one of the three hotubs -- there's also a swimming pool. This is a condominium resort with a mix of renters & owners that is well run, well kept and very convenient in that it is the first propery up the hill from Chateau Whistler and other hotels, restaurants and businesses. You can walk down for a meal or do a little shopping or wak another 10 minutes and be in the heart of Whistler Village which is a very magical place -- particularly when there is fresh snow. The only aspect of staying at the Aspens is there is no restaurant so you need to bring/buy supplies to take advantage of staying in a condo. Lastly, it's also worth noting that 1 & 2 bedroom condos are modest in size so if you have a large party that ski, that there is no dedicated space to dry damp clothing, gloves & boots. The trick I discovered was to use one of the fans stored in the closet to dry my boots & gloves right away. I'd lay my boots on the floor in the bedroom propped up a bit with my gloves on top and let the fan blow air on them for a couple of hours which worked great!
"True Ski in-Ski out"
Perfect! The Aspens is a true ski in-ski out. Only a 5-10min walk into town (depending on which section you want to go to). We parked our rented car in the underground garage and didn't see it again until we left. We booked through ResortQuest. The grill on the patio was awesome -- we grilled dinner every night after soaking in the hot tub with the view of the mountains. Just perfect! As someone else wrote, the towel system for the pool/hot tub is a little silly and time consuming so our solution was to keep the same beach towels during our stay (they are on the thin side so they dried over night), so we didn't have to go to the front desk every day with our towel card
"Fantastic location"
This was our second stay at the Aspens. We are a family of 4 with 2 boys aged 9 and 11. We rented a 1 bedroom condo again and were not disappointed. The location is absolutely perfect- a true ski in and ski out condo. We could quickly access the base of the Wizard chair at Blackcomb in the morning- come back for a hot lunch and stretch out- then return to the mountain for the afternoon. The hot tub is a bit crowded at the end of the day- but that is how you meet people! We always do a grocery shop before the trip in Vancouver or Whistler and have lots of snacks and quick lasagnas to pop in the oven after skiing while you enjoy the apres ski- then dinner is ready! The kitchen is bare bones and there are no condiments- so don't forget the essentials (like butter!) Their is free Wi-Fi in the unit, a BBQ on the deck and a lovely fireplace. There is no housekeeping provided. We took the bus from Vancouver on our first trip, and rented a car and used the underground parking facilities this time. It is a quick walk to the base of Blackcomb- and a 5-10 minute walk to Whistler village- perfect after dinner to get a coffee or drink. I almost hate to write this review as I'd like to keep this place a secret for as long as possible!
"A Solid Slopeside Vacation Rental"
I stayed in Aspens #427 in early April and I couldn't have been happier with the location, amenities and overall value. It's located near the base of Blackcomb Mountain, adjacent to the Wizard Express (lift) so access to the slopes is a BREEZE. The property is older but the exterior is renovated and tidy. Unit #427 is a compact, cozy two bedroom unit with a spacious patio that is secluded and quiet. Whistler Village is a quick 10 minute walk. Know before you go: most resorts charge for parking. Aspens is $15/day
"Great location and value for money"
We stayed at Aspens as part of a late-season special offer advertised on the Whistler-Blackcombe website. We've stayed here a few times before so knew exactly what to expect. Quick summary as follows: Location - Excellent. Easy to ski-out to Wizard chair and easy to find ski-in. Also convenient for stroll into town. Facilities - Underground car park and good pools/hot tubs. Ski valet service convenient with friendly staff. For me, these are the essentials (if you need much more, then you haven't been skiing hard enough!) Room - Fit for purpose. Small issue with bathroom sink was fixed very quickly. Staff - Welcoming, friendly and helpful with no exceptions Would we stay here again? Definitely
"Nice to be on hill."
Truly ski-in-ski-out. Heated pool is nice, and 3 outdoor hot tubs very nice at end if day. Rooms and entire hotel a bit older, but location makes up for it (such that you don't spend much time in room anyways).
"Location, location, location"
Ski-in, Ski-out, Ski valet, close to but not in the main populated areas. It is on Blackcomb mountain a few minutes down the hill to Blackcomb shops and roughly a 10 to 15 minute stroll into Whistler village. Heated pool and hot tubs, the two hot tubs can get busy at times but there is usually a steady ebb and flow of people coming and going so it frees up fairly well and it is a way to meet some interesting people. The front desk staff are polite but disinterested if you have booked privately, not a show stopper just a tad annoying. We would return.
"Great ski in ski out. The best!""
We have looked around while we are here and this is definitely the best place to be for ski in ski out for your dollar. Very nice accommodations and rooms. Rent skis at Summit right here in The Aspens. Book online and get 20% off rental. Store skis as well. Cannot go wrong here. We've stayed here 3 times and won't stay anywhere else. I sound like a sales person ha. But this is the best place. We leave tomorrow and am very sad to go. We stayed in 221. Nice big tv's and comfy bed.
"Ski in and out"
We were 2 adults and 2 teens and this location was perfect. Ski in and out and you could easily walk down to Blackcomb village and then on to Whistler village. WE stayed there 17 years aga and then again this year both times were perfect.
"Great ski location."
We stayed for the week. Had a great time. Our focus was skiing/boarding so the location was perfect. Great free ski valet service, pool and hot tubs. Did not use the fitness room. We got our exercise on the slopes. Lots of restaurants near by and a quick five minute walk on the path to the village. Overall a great experience.
"Great, Fun and pleasently surprise"
It is great to have your own little nest with most of the things you need. Liked the ski valet service. Very clean, solid. We didn't have a view but that's ok, after all we had a view all day at the mountains! The pool is ok, We had a good deal and will take it up again if another one comes along.
"Ski out/in. Need I say more"
Great location just above the upper village and about a 2 minute ride to main village. From the time you pick up your skis each morning, within 40 yards you are on the slopes!! They also have 3 great hot tubs and pool for relaxing after long days on the mountains. The rooms are comfortable and very well decorated and clean
"Location, location, location"
Although more expensive than other properties in whistler the Aspen's location made it worth while; a true ski in ski out. The staff was friendly. The room was clean and the after-ski facilities awesome (hot tub and ski valet). We would recommend this property and will return when back in whistler
"Weekend Getaway"
We stayed in Unit 433. The unit faced the courtyard front entrance roundabout and it was excellent. No issues at any time. The renovated unit we stayed in was perfect and I would stay in this same unit again in a heartbeat. Very good...
"Skiing for our Anniversary"
We enjoyed our stay very much. Our room was very clean and the kitchen was well equipped. We like the idea that there was no maid service for the days we stayed as we could sleep in or get up early and come back after skiing and relax. The resort has a great trail to walk to the village and it was very beautiful at night. Skiing down to the lifts in the morning was great. We'd love to come back. Front desk was very helpful.
"Excellent Accommodation at the base of Blackcombe"
The Aspens is a timeshare accommodation as well as a hotel; so accessible to all who want to take advantage of this excellent location with easy access to Whistler village and skiing. We had the unit that faced the pool and hot tub with great views of the mountains and the lift. While the season was early - November - snow had arrived and the conditions were excellent. The unit we had was perfect for our needs; a gas fireplace and well equipped kitchen and living space to accommodate our party. Would definitely go back again and would recommend it.
"We needed a getaway"
We needed an off-season getaway. As we approached the Aspen grounds, we knew we had found the ideal sanctuary. The Aspens appearance was very clean and receptive. We appreciated the friendly and informative resort check-in attendants . . . They were exceptionally courteous in all manner during our entire stay. Our suite was spotless, comfortable and the full kitchen met all our cooking needs. We would not hesitate to recommend this resort to our family or friends. Looking forward to a return visit.
"All Round Fantastic!!"
We stayed in The Aspens a couple of years ago and could not have been happier, there were 6 of us staying in a 2 bed apartment and we were not in the least bit squashed or felt 'on top of one another'! This is the perfect location ski in/out really is what it says, could ski right up to the front door and practically to the ski storage area. Just a 10 min walk to the centre of Whistler village (this hotel in in Blackcomb village, the quieter of teh two) but a very pleasant and brightly lit path, no problems with walking back alone late at night as loads of people around. Blackcomb village has some great places for breakfast before your days skiing and Merlins bar is a must after the ski day is finished, live music and a great laid back feeling. Savage Beagle in Whistler is a must before the holiday is over for great nightlife. There are bars for every taste. We love Whistler and will go back year after year one huge bonus for a Canadian resort is that it is the best skiing on your doorstep and no travelling is required daily to get to the slopes as is with other places. You have to try the best!!!
"Great hotel, great location!"
My husband and I stayed at the Aspens for 1 week in January....what a great hotel!! Our room faced the blackcomb mountain (we paid extra for this), had a large balcony and was very spacious!! It would have easily accomodated 2 more people. Full kitchen with every appliances needed allowing you to cook your own meals, TV with cable, free ski valet, etc etc.. The best thing about staying there was the ability to ski in/ski out to your room!!! Great location, between the Chateau Fairmont and the Mariott and away from the busy downtown whistler village. Underground parking was very practical (we drove from Portland) and ended up costing only $50 for the week. Overall, we preferred to ski the blackcomb mountain and would gladly return to the Aspens or may be try the Marriott (another ski in/ ski out resort) with free morning buffet for about the same price/package deal as we got for the Aspens. Feel free to email me if you have specific questions!
"Awesome Rooms with Views!!!"
A great place!!! Our room was on the 4th floor of the East Wing. It faced Blackcomb MT, there was a run just below our balcony!! The room was clean and had just about everything you need with the full kitchen and dishwasher!! They could use a few more pots and pans but other than that it was great. Nice if you want to be a little away from the noisy streets of the village. Bring your own food to cook at the room!! We did that with breakfast and went out for dinner! Request a room with a view and they will take care of ya!! Oh yeah bring your own coffee!! The only supply small packets!!
"We had a wonderful time in the deep powder"
This was our christmas present to each other. We could not have picked a better weekend. 22cm(8 1/2") of fresh powder overnight (the night before we went skiing. The accomocations were nothing but superb, the valet service for our ski's was a nice touch. We will be going back to stay at #105 at the Aspens. Guest services took care of us long before we got there until we left. It was nice.
