From the outside we were greeted by the valet parking guys. The front desk ladies were so pleasant. Even, gave us a preference of floors we would prefer. The room was decent and clean. The view from the balcony was absolutely great....we were able to bask in the glory of the ocean, as well as be entertained by the boardwalk patrons. And the restaurant downstairs had a live band outside which was also very entertaining. Their food was good too. They had a buffet breakfast that was very tasty and the food stayed hot.

    "Modern All Ocean Front Rooms!"
    I am staying at the Ramada on the Beach as I type (pro: free WiFi!), staring out at the beach and boardwalk directly in front of me. This room is everything I had hoped for on a last minute trip to Virginia Beach. The staff was very friendly and helpful, from the valet who greets you as you arrive at the hotel (as parking in front of the hotel is limited to about 40 spots, but valet is complimentary, or you can park a block in front of the hotel in free garage parking), to the front desk staff at registration. I was even more pleased when I admired the hotel's proximity to the water (it REALLY is on the beach), and when I walked into my room, you could tell it was re-done, from the ladder-esque towel rack in the bathroom (think: Ikea trendy) to the modern and colorful room decor with a fantastic flat-screen TV. The staff was very friendly, and the restaurant in the hotel served excellent food and service, and if you choose to sit outside, which I highly recommend, you will sit facing a windowless, unadulterated view of the water.

    We had an oceanfront room on the 7th Floor. Great sunrise, great views, great balcony. Fabulous room, clean, nice sized. Has pool and hot tub. Friendly check-in staff (Olivia checked us in). Free wi-fi. Free valet. Location was good and nice and quiet. Mahi Mah's Restaurant is an elevator ride away

    We came to spend New Year with my son and had a really great time.Hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. Boardwalk was lit up at night with Christmas lights. Valet guys were very friendly and was able to suggest places to eat.

    Probably the greatest weekend fall stay ever in my life. Lovely accomodations on the beach but even better was the kindness and caring of every employee, especially at the front desk and at Mahi Mah's. Steven Z. and all the bartenders were so fun, professional and endearing!! (cute too). Our stay there was amazing. and the $3 Bloody Mary's were the best ever. Thanks for a great time! Nick and Susan RUhle and all the parents from Long Island University Field Hockey and our NCAA trip!
    "Anniversary get away"
    Drove down to go over/ thru Bay Bridge Tunnel, have lunch at featured restaurant from Diners,Drive Ins and Dives then spend night at nice hotel on the Ocean and have dinner. We did it all, weather was wonderful and had a great time . Hotel was beautiful and clean. MahiMahi restaurant was great.

    Our three day stay was incredible. Every one was really nice and said hello when they saw us. The restaurant was just as friendly and the food really good. Even the maintenance man who got me a new light bulb was friendly and was genuinely happy to help us. Definitely going back to the Ramada

    "Business Conference with everything under one roof"
    Recently I hosted an annual seminar at The Ramada on the Beach. This is the 8th year in a row that I selected this location with about 55 attendees form the East Coast from NY, NJ, Pa., Delaware, NC, Fl., W. Va. Everything went very well and my attendees love the location because every room has an unobstructed ocean view with private balcony and we eat all our meals in the locals favorite restaurant Mahi Mah's which is part of the hotel. Working directly with the Group and Catering Director I was able to get the accommodations, meals and parking all worked out with one person. Coordinating all the meals during the three day conference can be challenging with a popular local restaurant such as Mahi Mah's but with the private dinning room dedicated to our use we were able to enjoy a local restaurant menu and not just a conference menu. The saloon area of Mahi Mah's allowed many of the attendees to socialize and network during off hours and not worry about driving back to a hotel. No one gets in trouble with drinking and driving when all they need to do is take the elevator back to their room. All under one roof makes this an ideal location. Following are some comments from my survey after the event: . The class, hospitality, waiting staff, bartenders, all a class act. We have a Condo on the north end of the strip. Mahi-mahs will now be our go to restaurant. I can't talk it up enough. John S. The class was well organized, accommodations were very nice, and the food was delicious. Glenn W. With comments like these we will be back next year.
    "Beach Trip"
    Hotel is older but in great shape. Very clean. Staff was very proffessional and friendly. The ocean front room with a balcony is perfect. The small kitchenette is great for snacks and coffee. Close to lots of good restaurants. The hotel is at the south end of Va Beach close to the jetty. Fun to watch the boats go out.

    We had a kitchenette without glasses and knives. The toaster set off the smoke alarm LOL. Valet service was great. The view was wonderful. The office staff was helpful. The room was clean and the bathroom was also clean. The restaurant was overpriced and too loud. She crab soup poor.
    "Beach party"
    The hotel had almost 100 football players and their families for two nights ! The little lady who originally was from bethel he PA spent two hours sweeping pool water down the drain while 30+ boys rocked the pool just smiled while the boys had the time of their life. The buffett was opened early to accommodate the really early game (7:15 bus boarding ) staff friendly rooms fine!! What a wonderful time was had by all!

    The hotel was great. All employees from valet, front desk, concierge, to housekeeping were very welcoming, helpful and nice. The price was a good value, I did not expect the hotel to be as nice due to the lower rate. Our room was very clean, the only drawback was the tiny bathroom. Has some family friendly restraunts all within 2 blocks. I would recommend this hotel, as my family will stay their again when we visit VB.

    A quick weekend getaway to VA Beach. 8th floor room with great view and really appreciated the in room fridge. The hotel restaurant never disappoints - great food every time.

    Needed to get away for the weekend and we chose Virginia Beach because it was only 1.5-2 hrs from Richmond. Wanted Ocean front in proximity to good restaurants. This Ramada was it! Older hotel but kept fresh thru renovations. Staff was gracious and helpful. One of our favorite restaurants...Mahi Mah's is in the same building. Chix's is next door. Black Angus Steak house across the street and Sunshine down street (god breakfast location). The boardwalk in Va. Beach is all yours this time of year. Offseason rate was reasonable! Going back in Dec to see the Chritmas lights on the beach.

    This hotel was just right for my short vacation at the beach. The service was pleasant and helpful. The price was reasonable for october. My room was clean, including the carpet. When your at the beach all that matters to me is a clean place to crash!

    This Ramada belies the declining reputation that unfortunately the Ramada chain has earned. We were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the property and well maintained condition. The staff could not have been more friendly, helpful and professional. We will definitely return to this facility.

    Great location, upon arrival was well received and was surprised to receive a small rate reduction, the staff was very professional and while being very helpful were not intrusive, we visited the resturant and outdoor facilities, and as far as our experience the faclities were very clean the staff was excellent, our food was excellent and well prepared and most certainly enjoyed by all, be sure and try the oysters.

    we had our USMC motor t reunion at Va Beach Ramada and had a great time. Good shower and comfortable bed,, what more could you need. All the employes were friendly and helpful. One thing that could be improved,, the towels are getting thin. Other wise everything was A OK!!!!!
