Dreams Acapulco – Mexico’s best kept non-secret. Under the guise of crime and bad press, Acapulco is a gem of a location to visit. Its people and culture revel that of Puerto Vallarta. We thought PVR was top notch until our most recent visit to Acapulco and now understand why the stars of yesteryear sought out this beautiful town. Dreams Acapulco is a weekend destination for Mexican Nationals much like that of Southern California to Las Vegas. The roads can be crowded, and weekends will dominate with the locals, but we stayed from Sunday-Wednesday and had the absolute best time basking in the beauty of this area. The Staff was extremely helpful and more than accommodating. Our UVC concierge, Amayarani Galvan was the absolute best – and we’ve had several great concierges. Before we arrived with the help of Whatsapp to the time we left Amayarani insured we were well cared for. We found Amayarani very down to earth, friendly, and professional. Her countless tips on both our membership and the surrounding town proved invaluable. Upon our arrival, Amayarani arranged for a double upgrade, corner suite with a wraparound porch. Unfortunately, the air conditioning wasn’t cool enough for me, so she graciously provided us other options which satisfied us completely. The pools are warm, and the beach is clean and swimmable. We found many taking advantage early in the morning as there are very little ripples in the water here. The sand is a little rocky but better than any Cabo beach. Palapas in abundance. The food was good and the staff in the restaurants was even better. Special acknowledgments to Israel in El Pescador for lunch and Javier Romero Solis in El Patio for Dinner. For those who are not a big fan of buffet, especially for breakfast, my biggest tip is to order room service and enjoy on your balcony as you watch the sunrise lighten up the bay. Fani, our room service person, was amazingly sweet and friendly – and always on time. Our meals were always brought hot and freshly made – what a way to start your day with a smile and great food. The breads are made on site, so the pan is delicious. We hired the onsite photographer and captured many wonderful sunset pics on the beach as well as our romantic dinner which was prepared very well. Just word of caution – portion sizes in Acapulco tend to be bigger you don’t need to order 15 of everything to get full. The hotel itself is beautiful. Unfortunately, they did suffer some damage during the Oct 2020 earthquake, so things were not 100% perfect but then the people and town just overwhelms you with their kindness and those become very little in the whole scope of a great vacation. I am challenging every UVC member and non-member to place this resort on your bucket list and try them. Try Acapulco – the state of Guerrero and Government have seriously stepped up their security and we never felt more secure in all of Mexico. A mix of Federal, local, and designated Tourista police patrol the main strip of this vibrant town. Dreams is about a block away from their naval and marine base but not overwhelming that detracts from the beauty this town offers but again provides another level of comfort. Its unfortunate the events of 30 years ago tarnish this wonderful town. I even dragged my wife kicking and screaming because it was “Acapulco” but she’s now a convert – and we’re both planning to return because our experience was perfect. We did align ourselves with a private driver for the time we were there, and Daniel’s knowledge of the area even made our experience better. The cost is one of the most reasonable of all Mexico we’ve been to…so Go! Check it out! Enjoy or better yet stay away! We want to keep this little piece of Eden to ourselves.

Fantastic staff and great customer service. Great for families and couples with amazing views of Acapulco. Room we stayed we new remodeled and had all the perfect amenities. Ocean is walks away and a variety of restaurants. The best all inclusive in Acapulco!

I can’t say enough good things about Dream’s in Acapulco but I’ll give a few reason why you should visit this beautiful place of Paradise! 1) The resort is smaller but it’s more personal. 2) the staff is amazing. 3) The View is Beautiful. 4)The city is Beautiful. 4) Some much History

My wife and I are staying in Mexico City for a month and were looking for a nice drive-able weekend excursion. I was pleased to see that Dreams has a resort in Acapulco now since we already know and love this brand. The hotel is situated perfectly in the middle of the bay so the ocean view from our room was truly one of the best we have every had at a beach resort. The room was also very spacious, elegant and super clean. In fact, we were impressed with how safe and clean they kept the entire hotel and grounds. The hotel staff were all top notch, especially Elizabeth, the Preferred Club Concierge. She was so pleasant and helpful and Federico was the best bartender. Like other reviewers, we also want to compliment Chef Ruben at La Trattoria for the extra care and attention. And of course a special "thank you" to Jesus, General Manager, and Adryan, Director of Sales for the warm welcome and tour of the hotel. We highly recommend Dreams Acapulco and look forward to returning soon.

I had the most amazing time in Acapulco last week. The resort is transitioning from another brand and doing an amazing job. The rooms were well tended to and clean. Our room was recently renovated and beautiful with plenty of counter space and a well stocked refrigerator and toiletries. They have many restaurants to choose from with a large assortment. The wait staff was always there when you needed them eager to please. The pools were sparkling clean and the towels are huge. We spent a relaxing week with lots of time in the sun. The staff was attentive poolside too. There was lots to do. Plenty of excursions including snorkeling, swimming with dolphins, the cliff divers, paddle boarding in the bay and shopping. I like to work out and the options were great. Yoga classes daily and a huge workout room. I can’t wait to come back next year to see what else they’ve done to the resort. *Shout out to Juan Moreno, the awesome entertainment director. He kept the adults entertained and the kids smiling and dancing. I will never forget the song, chu chu ua . *Jesus at the beach front bar took great care of us. He even helped us plan out our excursions. *Omar at the front desk was awesome. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and always took the time to chat with us about our stay. Turns out he used to live in my area of town, small world! *Betty at the front desk was so sweet and accommodating. *Cenobio at the main Buffett was another that stood out. He always went above and beyond to make us smile. He even helped us a bit with our Spanish.
