Adult Luxury Bahia Mita

Enjoyed this amazing resort from April 23-30, 2022. It was just myself and my hubby for 8 amazing days! We are UVC preferred members so used our VIP nights as this is a 1 to 1 resort which I find is incredible but this is good for UVC members! Check in: Fast no issues at all however we not explained about the resort but had done my homework so not an issue. Luggage delivery Got to the room before we did so was not provided a lot of details regarding AC. Had to call for assistance but they got there immediately. Room: We booked a Tropical view and did not receive upgrade. Stayed in room on 6th floor with a horrible view of dead trees. Which was OK because stayed very little time in room. Just make sure you understand that Tropical view does not mean a nice view of green tropical garden. Far from it. Housekeeping: It was amazing from daily cleaning, to mini fridge being stocked daily to nightly turn down service! It happened every single day!!! We loved coming back to our room after dinner just to see how great it looked. Food: WOW! Being on Secrets side preferred we had access to all restaurants. However we chose to only go to adult only restaurants except Coco cafe and court yard buffet nights. Download the AMR app for menus, dress code and hours. Service in restaurants was top notch! Coco cafe: Best of all the AMR resorts we have been to about 10! They stayed open 24 hours a day. That was so nice. Desserts were amazing! Market cafe: Breakfast buffet but way beyond amazing. Made to order Mexican items, omelettes and crapes! Lunch do this for lunch only opened from 1:30 to 4:00 daily but worth getting out of the pool for! Dinner becomes the Blue Water Grill. It is a must! Olio serves lunch and dinner. Andres from Olio was our waiter and provided the most professional service! Glasses never empty and two days I wanted guacamole (which is not on the menu) but Andres made it happen! Lunch was great however dinner was just ok for me but hubby loved it. French open only for dinner outstanding food and service! Wine Cellar is a specialty restaurant which is available at an extra charge for $150 and $250 however get back in wine. If UVC member get 25% off and can use leisure cash. Our anniversary so we did. Although it was great all the other restaurants are just as good. Court yard buffets Mexican and BBQ - I can’t say enough about the food and service which is shocking as other resorts were terrible! Do not skip these! Dinner and show at the same time! Bars The service on the 6th floor bar by Christo and Ulysses were outstanding they were so friendly and nice. They both went out of their way to provide that extra special touch! Lobby bar gets crowded at night so service not as good. But during the day we sat and enjoyed great service. Preferred lounge nothing special. They need to bring it up to some of the other preferred lounges at other resorts but makes preferred members use room keys. Least favorite place to hang out. Pools Did not use 8th floor pool or bar as it was so crowded every day. You can get food from Market Cafe served by waiter on 8th floor. We used 6th floor pool and there is no chair saving there. Ricardo did and amazing job making sure towels were not there and never used! So nice! Spa We used it twice and was so spoiled by the staff of Louis and Esmeralda when doing hydrotherapy. Did a couples massage and loved it. I got a facial by Marilu and the very best I have ever had! You will be happy you did. Overall we loved this resort and yes there were tons of children at Dreams we opted to stay on Secrets side so never a problem!

Service was fantastic especially on the 8th floor pool area, bartenders and waiters were on top of it at all times. We felt really welcome and can’t wait to come back! The food was delicious, with plenty of options.

We spent nine amazing days in Secrets Bahia Mita at the beginning of April. The property itself is stunning, the design is remarkable, the grounds are beautiful and very well kept. The resort offers so much and there is something for everyone and every taste. The rooms are spacious, bright and super clean. For the first half we stayed in a Panoramic view room and the second half in a master suite. There is a nice view from every room and also there are plunge pools on most of the balconies which is cool. Thanks to Odalys Cervantes for making our wedding anniversary so special and memorable! Attaching pictures with her and the master suite we stayed in…. We tried all the restaurants and everywhere the food is tasty, fresh, well prepared and presented. For lunch don’t miss the pizza at the Barefoot Grill, the live music at the Manatees and the views from Market Café, Olio and the Seaside Grill. For dinner all the restaurants offer exceptional food and service. The food at Portofino is distinctive with nice finishing touches. The show in Himitsu is really fun and for the first time ever we had a whole octopus on the teppanyaki and it was great. For meat cooked to perfection you might want to go to the Bluewater grill and the Bordeaux. We celebrated our anniversary in the Wine Cellar. Really great and innovative food by the chef (she is so young but so talented!) and of course good wine. The only downside was El Patio. The food was stale and bland and definitely wasn’t tasting like an authentic Mexican food. I would recommend a complete transformation from top to bottom, as the food at this restaurant is literally not edible which is absolutely unacceptable. Now let’s talk activities. The entertainment team is fantastic as everyone else in the resort. I was doing yoga on the beach at 8:30, yoga on a paddle board at 10:00 and water aerobics, cycling and pole exercises in the main pool at 12:00. The beach volleyball appears to be very popular, unfortunately we don’t play but still it was fun watching the others play. Speaking of the beach, I want to mention the incredible service we were getting from Leonardo all the time - so attentive, super quick and always available to answer all our needs. Everyone working at the resort was great. I can’t list all the names here, but want to say one more time huge thanks to all of you who made our vacation so wonderful and unforgettable!

We had the most amazing time. We stayed on the Secrets side of the resort. Most of our time was spent in the pool. Seriously all day each day having cocktails and eating yummy food. We NEVER wanted for ANYTHING!! Antonio kept a large party (20-49 depending on time of day) of rowdy adults happy for four days straight! We ALWAYS had plenty of drinks and food. We LOVE OUR ANTONIO!

My husband and I got back from an amazing trip to Secrets Bahia Mita. Everything went smoothly from the moment we arrived. We were given champagne and brought directly to the Preferred check-in area where there was no wait to check in. We were then brought to our room where a wonderful fruit plate and bottle of sparkling wine were waiting for us (part of the anniversary package). Our suitcase arrived in our room minutes after we did. The room was beautiful and spacious. The balcony plunge pool was clean and we utilized it a few times on our trip. I would highly recommend the Preferred Ocean View rooms on the 7th floor. Room 1712 had both an ocean and jungle view and was extremely private. It actually had more of an ocean view than I thought it would have from the pictures. The food at the resort was by far the best all inclusive resort food I have ever had. Bordeaux especially was a stand out as every dish we had was outstanding. There was a BBQ Asado Party and Mexican Show on two different nights in the main courtyard which were both culinary highlights we didn't expect! If you are able to get a special reservation for a night I would recommend Bluewater Grill to be able to sit outside for the sunset views. The drinks were pretty good. While some were average, a few times we were delivered a really stand out drink, including our first night at the bar between Himitsu and Portofino. I wish I remembered the name of the bartender but he made us a really excellent jalapeno margarita that included cucumbers. And thank you to the 4th floor lobby bartender who recommended a tequila citrus to me which included raspberries and blackberries. That became my go to drink from that bar. Overall I found the staff very friendly, helpful and professional, including the housekeeping and room service folks who provided excellent service and were very nice. We had turndown service almost every night and were surprised with a beautiful, romantic turndown service one night with rose petals on the bed, petit fours, perfectly set mood lighting, and a romantic station on the tv that we didn't know existed! I surprised my husband with a proposal and surprise vow renewal due to the quick elopement that we had last year. Paula was the wedding coordinator the week leading up the ceremony and she was wonderful! She was responsive and provided excellent suggestions and made the day really memorable for us, and did an excellent job of helping to ensure that it all remained a secret and a surprise for my husband. The photographers onsite with Vallarta Adventures were also excellent. The staff member that I need to call out the most though was our butler Carlos. When I forgot the rings for the vow renewal at home and had my friend ship them, he went above and beyond trying to get the rings for us from a very non-responsive delivery service which was likely compounded by the Easter holidays. I can't thank him enough for doing everything in his power to help us. I was truly blown away by his assistance and have never felt this level of service before. Thank you Carlos!! The pools at the resort were beautiful and varied. We visited most of the pools at least twice, including the beach club pool, the 6th floor pool at the end after Olio and the 8th floor pool. Even though it was the end of whale season, we were able to spot two whales! I would recommend the preferred status as there were several areas that were preferred only that we enjoyed. While I was told the resort was full that week, it never felt overly crowded. Overall it was an amazing trip and I would highly recommend the resort. We had lots to celebrate as it was part honeymoon, part anniversary, and part vow renewal, and the staff and facilities were outstanding and felt very elegant. The only very minor issue is that I would recommend the gas tanks on the moondeck be refilled before nightfall each evening, but the empty tanks some nights might have been due to the holidays that week.
