"Gem of tranquility Puerto Vallarta"
This is an Interval resort/Hotel. The Services Manager Carolina Gomez speaks excellent English. She is extremely helpful -a real gem . The resort features a lovely beach , a large infinity pool, luxurious gardens and a quiet family friendly atmosphere . Most people we saw during our 3 week stay were families with children, couples , and seniors here for the warmth and sunshine . The units feature king size beds with bathtub/shower combos, full kitchen with full size fridge, and microwave. courtesy internet for members .Rooms have 2 televisions and A/C
Building 7 is Oceanfront and Bld. 6 on upper floors have great views.
"Just what I needed to relax"
My boyfriend has stayed here often. When I went along, we travelled with a group of 6. Most of us stayed here and enjoyed it greatly. Bel Air was exactly what I was hoping for. Great checkin that makes you sigh that you're home, warm service/greeting, a resort that makes you feel comfortable since its not pretentious and has everything you want in a place to stay to chill out. Pool was large enough to make all happy, and it leads up all the way to the beach so on evenings and during the day our arms were perched over the wall looking straight out at the beachline. There's a bar along one side of the pool that was wonderful to just swim up to. Rooms are clean and fresh, housekeeping was solid. I would definitely come back here. Another big plus is that this location is 3 locations from the end of Nuevo Vallarta. We were able to walk along the coastline for about 25 minutes and head straight into Bucerias which is a local town offering some really wonderful food. We steered away from resort food and ate up there since we were looking for authentic food.
"Another great stay!"
This was our fifth trip in a row to Bel Air and this place just keeps getting better. Everyone is just so nice and accommodating and we always feel like we're welcomed home by family. Special shout out to Pancho for going above and beyond and helping us out with our requests including opening an additional account at Shipwreck Kelley's the day we departed and as our flight was delayed. Also thank you to Edgar, Karla, Javier, and Jose for so personable and fun. Only complaint would be the air conditioner didn't seem to work all that well, but besides that we loved it and we'll be back!
"Lovely Visit, Thank You."
My Mother and I had a lovely visit, our expectations were more than met in many areas. The service was over the top, we were absolutely catered to as if we were the only guests. Without a doubt, Bel-Air makes service a top priority. The grounds were beautifully maintained and the rooms spotless and well equipped. I wish I could remember the individual names of all the staff members who tended to our every need, but rest assured they did. Service with a smile. Oh, I do remember one name, Martin - and what a smile and other such nice features!
We never ate there so I can't comment on the food, but the staff was quick to always refresh our drinks on the beach. The spa was over the top beautiful, truly one of the most restful spas I've ever visited. My massage was delicious!
Being there during low season allowed us to enjoy very low key days and quiet evenings, however the weekends were a bit explosive and full capacity due to all the weddings and weekend travelers. We much preferred the quiet days/nights as it could got a little loud, but at no fault of Bel Air.
I would recommend staying at the Bel Air, we'll return for certain.
"Summer Sunny days!"
We were here for our summer break and we had a blast! The infinity pool has a nice view, the swim up bar! We stayed at a master suite with jacuzzi and an amazing ocean view, we never wanted to get our room! The staff is really friendly, food is great and room are nice and the beach is beautiful where you can take long walks! I will consider staying here again for the next summer!
"MEXICO INDEPENDENCE AT BEL AIR!"
We stayed at this resort for a 5 night stay during the Mexican Independence celebration! Rooms are nice, food is delicious, they had Mole on the mexican night and it tasted just like the one in Oaxaca , they also had tequila jarritos during the sunset and pinatas really mexican! The infinity pool is amazing! I loved this resort during the night it is very romantic! I highly recommend it, will definetly go back!
"LONG WEEKEND TRIP"

My husband its a meat lover he Loved the gorgonzola steak ummm delicious! I want to congratulate the Chef Luis and his staff for the great Job! "Paradise on the Pacific"
While looking for an exotic honeymoon destination I stumbled upon a Group-On advertisement for the Bel Air hotel in Nuevo Vallarta. I was skeptical due to the incredible rate we were offered but was pleasantly surprised by what we found. Overall it was an exceptional trip, one we hope to replicate in years to come.
The strongest aspects of the hotel was the staff. As soon as we got there we told the staff it was our honeymoon and we immediately given a free upgrade to an ocean view room. We were constantly greeted with kindness and warmth at all times and made friends with many of those who worked there. Rarely have I been to a resort where I was greeted across the room with a warm "hola", or "hello Mr. Dave". The morning staff was led by two waiters in particular, Arturo and Eduardo. Both made us feel like a close relatives every time we saw them in the morning, and were extremely helpful recommending places to visit, and their service was extraordinary. The outdoor bar staff was led by bartenders Angle and Armando. Every time I found myself at the bar I was greeted personally and often times given a tequila shot - even when I didn't order it. The poolside waiters were led by Manuel, who quite possibly was the best waiter I have ever had. He seemed to read both our minds and was always at the ready with a fresh Corona. Others of note were Christian, Vincent, and Santiago. We didn't get close to the night time staff because we ate rather late at the peak of the service but one who always stood out was Daniella - a sweet young woman who learned our names the first night and gave us impeccable service.
We had ambitious plans to sight-see but instead remained at the pool for 8 of our 9 days, enjoying the "show" that was put on by 2 young woman and a very funny young man. They worked very long hours and were always "on". I never caught their names but their games and activities entertained us to no end.
Recommendations: For anyone new I would recommend the following if considering the Bel Air:
1. If you want a purely couples vacation at an all inclusive don't go to the Bel Air. It's totally family oriented, which my wife and I loved. Most people are native Mexican citizens, which again, we loved. I went to a Sandals resort for couples many years ago and while it was great, it didn't have the flavor the Bel Air did. We loved mingling with another culture - especially with one that loved their children.
2. Use the hotels taxi service. We spent the entire day in Sayulita while our cab driver WAITED for us. The taxi driver was Alphonso, a very personable man. Ask for him. It's more expensive than the bus but well worth the convenience.
3. Take a taxi to the Mega Store or Walmart and buy some essentials like beer for the room, conditioner, or even ingredients for a meal made "at home". While the restaurants were fantastic, my wife and I thought a small breakfast in the room would have made it more fun.
4. Housekeeping: Many of the reviews I read did not like the house keeping. We loved the service. They provided the essentials - clean towels, cleaned the bed, and cleaned the room and restocked the water and beer. After that it was what we referred to as "a surprise". Sometimes they forgot things (conditioner/shampoo) and sometimes they added things (coffee or a treat). If they forgot, we called, and it was there in 10 minutes. My recommendation is to relax.
If you've read through this I will end by saying that our stay at the Bel Air was extraordinary. We will definitely make it a priority to go back. We were treated more like family than guests. All this said I need to personally give a shout out to Mr. Diaz, the hotel manager who I did not meet. A great team always goes back to the head coach and he is an awesome head coach. Thank you Bel Air for making our honeymoon a memorable one.
"Interval International Exchange to Bel Air Nuevo Vallarta"
We exchanged our timeshare for a week at this resort. Our two adult sons joined us. We had a two bedroom condo with a lovely ocean view - 3 large full bathrooms, workable kitchen, large balcony. The grounds are very well kept and the pool area is very attractive and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Kudos to Triny who met us in the parking lot with a tray of momosas when we arrived, hot and tired. He was also very helpful with suggestions for restaurants and activities. It was nice to have full maid service daily and our maid was friendly and helpful. She provided daily towel animals and decorative bedding arrangements. Sweet treats were delivered to the room daily. Since our goal was relaxation, the situation worked very well for us. The only hitches were lack of AC in one bedroom and weak internet connection. We would definitely recommend this resort to others.
"Incredible Weather... fantastic Vacation"
I was there in the middle of february, Ive been sort of a frecuent traveler there since 2009... I must say, it is a fantastic place to spend the time with your loved ones. First thing first, if you are looking for an enormous resort, full with activities, this is probably not the place for you... This is a resort that offers something else; relaxation, calmness and a very unique atmosphere that makes you feel like visiting family... probably because the "uncenventional" design of the property, or the fact that almost all the staff has been there for many years, it creates a cetain weird atmosphere that makes you feel like "home" of sorts...
The rooms are very well furnished, with a kitchenette (That we didn't use, because, you know... my wife said she was on vacation), but never the less, it came handy while preparing the milk for my two year old in the middle of the night.
Also, the is a "Laundromat" in the property, Which we did not use, but thought was handy.
Near the Laundromat, there is fish pond, with turtles and big fishes, which both my kids LOVED...
The food was actually VERY good, you have to try the Sushi bar, which is fantastic!
All in all, I had a great time and I have already booked for next year...
Thanks Bel Air!
"Best Service in Nuevo Vallarta"
My girlfriend and I stayed here for a week, the service was superb from front desk to bell boy to the awesome staff at the restaurant and pool bar. The meals were mostly ala carte and except for couple nights..Restaurant Manager who was there everynight Elario was very knowledgable on the menu and specifc dishes, and his recommendations for meals were excellant. Our bell boy Victor with smiling attitude, our maid Irma with sweet delights left on our pillow, to the hard working pool waiters Jesus and Ivan and our thanks to Heriberto for making our stay wonderful.
"Best vacation ever"
The room we had was absolute luxury with a mouth dropping view. The location is absolute paradise. The food and service was top notch. I can hardly wait to make a return trip. This resort was not only beautiful with great service everything about it is a 10.
"First time in Mexico"
My boyfriend bought me a groupon for my birthday to the Bel Air Resort in PV. I had never been to Mexico before and can definitely say I will return after our amazing trip there this past month.
With the Groupon we paid $160 a day ALL INCLUSIVE. I know all inclusive deals can sometimes be crummy, but this resort's all inclusive has changed my mind. Our deal included 3 meals a day with all you can drink. The food was amazing. The breakfast buffet was probably my favorite. Fresh fruit and juices, omlet bar, amazing pico de gallo and homemade hot sauces, as well as different meats with mole. For lunch if you opted to have it by the pool your menu choices were limited to fried food like chicken nuggets, fries, club sandwiches and burgers. However they did serve lunch at the hotel restaurant. You had the choice to order off their lunch menu or go to the buffet. We did both. I have to say the salad and veggies were extremely fresh and the way they grilled the fish was perfect - olive oil and garlic. The ceviche I ordered off the menu was also good. For dinner one night we went to the sushi restaurant they have on the resort. The sushi was average...nothing special. The other nights we were there we went off the resort into nuevo vallarta and downtown puerto vallarta to restaurants recommended by the employees at bel air.
There was tons to do around the resort - gym, pool, spa, ping pong, volleyball and soccer. They had two activities employees who were extremely friendly and made sure the pool area was always busy. There were also beach activities offered by locals such as banana boat rides, parasailing, jetskis, windsurfing, and kayaking.
As far as the accomodations, we were happy with how cool the air was in our room and the cleanliness of it every time we returned from the day at the beach.
The pool is huge and super clean. It has a nice wet bar with friendly staff who are always happy to add a little more extra tequila to your drink if you wish ;) The pool deck then leads you down to the beach where there are lounge chairs and umbrellas always available. Wait staff comes down to the beach as well so you can still get your pina coladas.
I loved the staff at Bel Air- from the front desk and bag boy employees, Fabrizio in concierges, and the pool staff everyone greeted my boyfriend and I everyday by first name and made sure we were taken care of and having a good time.
Overall this resort was more than I could have asked for. It was welcoming and homey.
"Surprised by Quality"
My husband and I stayed the weekend of April 11-14, 2013. We were surprised by the quality of not only the rooms but also the food at the restaurants. We loved the intimate feel of the property and were happy that most of the tourists were at the Riu hotels next door. This is one gem that is perfect for a quiet getaway.
The Bel Air's website needs to be revamped a bit to accurately describe what the hotel has to offer, including their restaurants. But we were pleasantly surprised on the gourmet food. Everything that we ate and drank there was incredible. The English translation to the items offered don't quite describe what you might be eating, but we took a chance on several appetizers and entrees, not knowing that what we ordered would be impeccable.
If you do have the all-inclusive package, be aware that items are ala carte, since not all guests are on the all-inclusive package. You will see the prices of the drinks and food you are ordering, and you are responsible for gratuities. However, the food and drinks are not your typical all-inclusive fare - fried food, buffet lines, etc. This is genuine 4-5 star food that you won't be disappointed in.

"Thank you to our staff and friends for our exceptional visit"
Three ladies from Michigan visited April 13-20, 2013. We had an exceptional suite in building 6 on the 3rd floor with one king size bed and all amenities as well as another room with two queen beds, living area, bathroom, kitchen, dining room and a beautiful balcony. The staff, especially Edgar, Victor, Alicia, Hector, and Luis, were over the top accommodating and made our stay even more enjoyable than I'm sure it could have been. The facilities and grounds were immaculate, scenery beautiful, and everyone very welcoming. Very, very, very enjoyable. If I get back to Mexico, I would again stay at your facility. Thank you all so very much.
"Another enjoyable experience"
We have recently returned from another enjoyable stay at the BelAir thanks in part to the member service manager and staff. They did their best to satisfy our requests. We winter in Mexico with our R.V and join family for a week or two of fun and relaxation. Carolina of member services makes sure we have parking for the R.V. and that our family's needs are more than adequately fulfilled. We have stayed in this hotel on many occasions and would highly recommend them.

"Bel Air Vallarta is truly a "Home Away From Home"!"
We have been coming to the Bel Air, formerly the Playa del Sol Grand for years and it has been
enjoyable year after year. Much credit is deserved by the hotel staff. This flows through all the way from the Hotel GM, the amazing front desk staff, the maintenance and security people, the hardworking friendly and kind housekeeping and bell man staff go above and beyond expectations. The restaurants have delicious food, and wait until you see and enjoy the infinity pool, and the tropical gardens, pools, and well-kept grounds. You will feel like you are in botanical gardens and they are very relaxing! Hope you get a chance to come to this smaller boutique-type hotel.
"Everything in the Hotel"
I'm very happy, and satisfied by this hotel, everyone treating you like a prince, or princess, or even king and queen, there's no loud music, neither kids screaming, the pool was very very clean, you never can see a single piece of trash in the floor, and specially I want to congratulate and specially thank the waiters Eduardo, Raymundo, Jesus, Luis, Chago, and Daniel for their sense of humor, their enthusiasm, patience, and everything. The rooms were decorated everyday in a different way, so I really felt like a princess, I love the hotel, and the beach, and the delicious food (absolutely every kind of food). I would like to go again in Nuevo Vallarta in Bel Air Collection Restort & Spa Vallarta.
