"Outstanding"
Clean room, great staff. This was one of my best experiences with any hotel/motel stays. Great value for the money. Heated pool, Happy hour next to the pool and a fabulous beach view. A great hotel for family or business.

We stopped on our way to VA not knowing it was bike week. The hotel was expensive because of that. We were going to leave and go somewhere else. The lady at check in gave us a discount so we stayed. Turned out that the bikers there were friendly. The restaurant had good food but was crowded because of it being bike week. Taking that into consideration we didn't wait as long as I thought we would. The staff was friendly and helpful. Considering how busy they were, we were lucky to get a room on the beach.

\This was one of the best places that we have stayed at. Good room size, great breakfast, great staff at desk. The happy hour was wonderful, as well as the staff who worked it, they were friendly, funny and entertaining. Pool side room facing the ocean was a plus. Definitely would return.

We were here for bike week and enjoyed the Hotel, Beach and Happy Hour. Nice stroll on the beach and watched the bikes on Main St. Woke up to a wonderful sunrise and a great breakfast. We also visited the Daytona International Speedway for our first time. The Hotel was centrally located for all our needs.
"On the beach at Aku Tiki"
Hey, this place is a little bit dated, but that's the worst of it. We were very satisfied with all other aspects of this hotel, from "A to Z" Great location, and plenty of parking spaces. Very clean hotel everywhere you look. The entire staff is very pleasant, and so accomodating - also Benson the Tiki Bar bartender/disk jockey is a real hoot as well. Can't beat the complimentary "hot" breakfast every morning, and "Happy Hour" in the afternoon starting at 5:30 - even a complimentary newspaper, and homemade cookies in the lobby daily. We just got home last week, and are already planning a second stay here this year. Excellent place - you won't be disappointed.

On the beach: large clean heated pool with lots of poolside lounge area: large grassed patio with sun tables and chairs looking right onto the beach: shaded lounge area: patio games area.....all you need for a beach stay. Good breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausage, toast, cereals juices in a large clean dining room ..... all you need to start the day. Great happy hour free drinks and great servers: good food reasonably priced.....all you need for an "aprs sea".. Large clean modern rooms with great beds and bedding: secure parking...... all you need for a nice sleep. Staff at desk, cleaning, and in bar/restaurant/dining room all not just polite but nice. Did I like it? Yup! Extended my stay. from 4 days to a week. I would not hesitate to go back.

Very Clean, Excellent Staff, Homemade cookies, Great Breakfast, Comfy beds & Happy hour. The service in this hotel is excellent. Everyone had a smile & ready to help with anything. I thought this hotel was excellent!!
"Great place to stay with kids!"
This hotel is wonderful. Terrific beach location, heated pool, friendly staff, and the best breakfast I have had at a hotel in over ten years. Yes, this place is a bit older, but it is clean. I would have to say one of my favorite features had to be the kids pool! Yes, a KIDS pool, so my husband and I could actually sit back and relax on lounge chairs and watch while the little ones splashed around! There is also a free happy hour AND you can order a pizza poolside. What can I say? I even loved the Tiki theme-this is a classic beach hotel and the only place I would want to stay in Daytona. I wish all hotels were this fun.
"Good Hotel"
Spent 1 night here. Good quality rooms, friendly staff and great facilities.The hotel was great value for money. Seems like its cheaper to book the room on the internet then book direct on the Best Western website. Best thing is probably to call them direct. Free breakfast was great. Lots of hot and cold options. Restaurant is quite expensive for lunch, but food was good. Room had everything you could need. Direct access to the beach and seaside. Pool was good, lots of loungers. Great to relax.
"Friendly hotel with character"
We spent the first two nights of our Florida road holiday at the Aku Tiki. Arriving at the end of a transatlantic flight and the first drive on foreign roads leaves me stressed, but the genuine warm welcome made us feel at home straight away. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable, so just the jet lag to stop us from sleeping. Breakfast may not be as extensive as at a large hotel, but there was plenty to eat and a good selection. Again the staff were good. The hotel is quite unlike a chain, with what I take to be a Polynesian theme. The restaurant is reached via a bridge over an indoor Koi pool, and there are wood carvings everywhere. The outdoor swimming pool is a good size, but we didn't try it. There are sunbeds in the grounds above the beach, which is reached by a gate. The beach goes as far as the eye can see in both directions. If I had to find one fault, it would be the erratic wifi, plenty of signal but sometimes no internet. The unsecured connection to the neighbouring resort filled in then. This hotel claimed to be family run and that is certainly the impression we got. Highly recommended as a good friendly beach hotel.
"Aku Tiki Inn Daytona Beach, Florida"
Their marquee says "Friendly Staff" and its no lie. We just spent four days at this hotel. It was our first time there and we'd definitely go back and recommend this to family and friends. We've stayed at lots of other hotels in Daytona over the years for conferences, bike week, biketoberfest etc. This was just a "get away and relax" weekend and we were extemely pleased with everything about this site. The room was a good size, clean and neat and had a great view of the ocean and the pool area. The restaurant food was good and reasonably priced. The had a free breakfast buffet (a real one) and a free happy hour every night. Yes, free happy hour for guests. All that was good but their greatest asset, as always, is their staff. From the front desk at check in to the overworked wait staff in the restaurant to the maintnenance personnel (no there was no problem - just talking with them), everyone was friendly and acommodating. We could not have asked for a better experience.
"60's Redo"
Aku Tiki is a Best Western Hotel that looks to have been built during the 1960's but step inside and you wouldn't know that! This is one of the Cleanest hotels I've ever seen for it's age! The King room we had was very large and nicely appointed to give you a touch of Hawaii. All rooms have a large modern bathroom ,large TV , and a balcony with a great view of " The Most Famous Beach ". They have a full service bar , restaurant,and pool bar in season. The pool area is awesome ! Shuffleboard area is by the large area in front of the beach front which also has picnic tables mounted on concrete pads. You will receive a breakfast each day , which ours included sausage,eggs,pancakes,fruit, danishes, etc.all of which was very tasty! Based on the rate I paid I would recommend staying at this Retro throwback Hawaiian Themed Hotel, only thing missing was the view of Diamond Head....just close your eyes and imagine it's there...

We stayed here without a reservation at the end of June and couldn't have been treated better. After arriving in New Smyrna Beach and finding out that our prepaid condo for the week had a broken air conditioner, we drove to Daytona Beach in the wee hours of a Saturday morning, searching for a vacant hotel. It was near impossible as every place we stopped was booked up. Having drove over 12 hours that day and with two sleepy, cranky kids in the car, we were nearly in tears. Then we found the Aku Tiki, shining like a beacon in a raging storm. They had space and it was clean! Very nice gentleman checked us in and listened as I whined. We got to our room and crashed HARD! Didn't hear any noise coming from the other rooms which is typically my biggest complaint. We even got a tasty, hot breakfast the next morning. It was a very pleasant stay. Very affordable with a great staff and killer views to wake up to. The rooms aren't exactly 5 star or super modern, but cleanliness and comfort are all we needed for a quick stay. :)
"Pleasurable stay in Daytona"
Few quality hotels in the Daytona area anymore (mostly condo and timeshare). The Aku Tiki was not only reasonably priced but it is nicely decorated and updated. Our ocean view room was updated and very clean. The bathroom could use some updates but it was clean. Had a good sized kitchenette. Comfy beds!! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good with a wide variety of items. The pool and sunning area is very large, clean and nicely appointed.
"Golf Weekend"
This is the fourth time we have stayed there and have no complaints. The ocean and the heated pool are a great place to relax after a round of golf. The happy hour (free drinks) and dinner at the restaurant top off the day.............
"Worked out great!"
Several things made this hotel stand out from the rest... they have a very large pool,a outdoor bar, a complimentary happy hour, cookies in the mornings and a breakfast buffet in the restaurant that's attached. We went there for Biketoberfest and they had a separate area on the other side to park our trailer for free along with 24 hour security on our bikes! I was impressed with everything. But it was right on the beach with large rooms, kitchenettes and a friendly staff. We will be staying with them again next time!
"BIKETOBERFEST"
The hotel was clean. The check out and in was fast and prompt Great free breakfast every morning. The room and bathroom clean and al worked. Great view from the balcony and room. The location of the hotel was great less than 5 miles from main St and about 10 miles from the speedway. Good room and location for Biketoberfest!!!
"Great Hotel and Amenities!!!"
This hotel was great!!!! The rooms were clean. The staff was very helpful to any questions and very friendly. My family stayed there for 4 days and loved it. They have a free Happy hour and a great hot breakfast buffet every morning for the hotel guest. The rooms were very nice and we got new fresh towels every day. The hotel also has a nice pool and kids pool which is great for a family with different age range of small children. The patio area stays well kept and clean and I liked that there were towels available for guests by the pool so you don't have to use the room towels. Also there is restrooms by the pool. Close to restaurants and stores. The stove, refridgerator, microwave and utensils for cooking was clean and kept. I would recommend this hotel to any family or couples wanting a wonderful stay on Daytona Beach. It is right on the Beach.Thanks for being such a great place to stay.
"Just what we wanted!"
Loved this hotel because we felt at home. Very clean . great beds, and wonderful food. We had a ocean front room and were on the balcony every day! We love walking the beach, so this was the best. The breakfast was unbelievable, pancakes made fresh, sausage, eggs, fresh fruit and more! Loved the happy hour in the evening. We ended up eating dinner after our drink. Very nice waitress! They greeted us every night. We did stay 10 days, so got to know everyone. Very nice heated pool. Of course we will return. We have stayed at the hotel twice and loved it.

Very clean, easy check in and out, friendly staff, Easy access to beach. Clean pool Our trip was a great one we will be doing it again. We meet some great people during our stay. Stores are close by for shopping
"Another Terrific Stay!!!"
As has always been the case, the BW Plus Aku Tiki Inn provided a wonderful stay. I coordinated the stay for two hockey teams playing in the area and heard nothing but great comments. I stayed personally as well and it was terrific! It's very nice to know we have a place we can count on and I never have to worry if folks will be happy with the accomodations that I arrange.
"OUTSTANDING Service - with heart and class!"
This property has always been one we refer friends and family to when they visit Daytona because it is a nice clean and well run inn with nice location and amenities. This year, a family member who has stayed there in the past was making the trip while dealing with a very, very major medical issue and the staff here went so far above and beyond to accommodate them on their visit that it brought tears to all our eyes. Having a staff that cares so deeply and personally about their visitors is just amazing and touching, and I simply can not say enough about how awesome they were to my family members at such a rough time for them and how much we appreciated it. THANK YOU SO MUCH AKU TIKI!!
