We just finished a week vacation at the Grand Sirenis. We booked through BookVIP and I have to say that I'm extremely pleased with the entire trip, all the way from booking through the conclusion of the trip. We got a phenomenal deal and had an excellent trip!

Written Review

"Skiing at Sunday River"
My wife and I stayed in a studio for a week of skiing. The room was clean and large for a studio. The refrigerator was small, but it was a mini-kitchen. The room was equipped with a washer and dryer. It is about 15 minutes from Sunday River ski area. The tavern in the main building had good food at reasonable prices.
"Very Nice Country Inn"
Stayed two nights for nearby skiing. We were given a room in the "Oaks" building. A huge room with King bed and sitting area with pull out couch and fireplace. If you are a family with a kid or two, this type of room has all the space you could ever need. Folks at the front desk were very courteous and helpful. The facility itself is in fine shape. Not perfect, it's a very old building after all, but it's well maintained and clean. The room was warm enough, hot water took a bit to get hot, but there was plenty of it. I stopped by the fitness building - smaller than it looks in the pictures (aren't they always) and it did look a bit tired. I didn't use any of the equipment. We would definitely return here if in the area again and we'd recommend it to anyone that asked.
"We come to Bethel for quick getaways. It is pretty and quiet."
Loved our room, it was huge! A lovely living room area with a fireplace and king size bed. Always clean and warm. The Inn's breakfast is really nice, amazing assortment of everything and an omelet bar. Sitting in the old fashion dining room, looking at the golf course even in winter is pretty. Can't wait to come back for golf....
"Service goes a long way"
Just wanted to take a minute to thank you and your wonderful staff for the wonderful stay we had at The Bethel Inn. The facility was spotless, the food and beverage top shelf, and the front desk staff were over the top with their hospitality. Additional thanks for the thoughtfulness of a on the house dinner entree due to the lack of snow. Totally unexpected.
"Lovely Historic Inn with full amenities"
Having read the negative reviews I was initially a little hesitant to book at the Bethel Inn. I'm so glad that we did. Everyone there was incredibly nice and helpful. The inn was elegantly restored. Our corner room had a gas fireplace and was obviously recently refurbished. The outdoor pool was heated, and although I would have preferred it hotter, it was warm enough to enjoy in the middle of January. The "hot tub" is simply a section of the pool with jets but the same temperature. The jets were in fine working condition and, though I would have preferred a "real" hot tub, I did find it relaxing after a day of skiing anyway. There is a restaurant and pub on premise that has a pool table and cozy atmosphere. The apps and beer selection were pretty good. The breakfast buffet had anything a reasonable person could possibly want; scrambled eggs, pastries, bacon, sausage, yogurt, granola, oatmeal, fruits, berries, pancakes, french toast, real maple syrup, waffle station, breads and bagels, and (on the weekend) an omelet station and everything was delicious and the service was excellent. I had two small nits with housekeeping which aren't even worth mentioning but enough to keep me from 5 stars. Would definitely stay here again and would definitely recommend. One other thing to note is that there is a free shuttle service Sunday River - it stops at a bunch of other inns so it does take a while to get to the slopes but on the weekend it's definitely worth it. Otherwise you'll probably be paying $20 in extended parking lot and have to take a shuttle to one of the lodges anyway. Leaves every 1/2 hour in the morning and returns every 1/2 hour in the afternoon. Had a wonderful weekend. thank you!
"Could not imagine a better wedding!!!"
My wife and I had our wedding at the Bethel Inn in October of 2015. There are not enough good things I can say about the experience. Tammy was a pleasure to work with and the entire event was extremely well coordinated. For what we wanted in our wedding, I don't think we could have made a better choice. We started from one of their pre-planned wedding packages, but these are really just suggestions and they will happily customize the event to your desires. To have all of our friends and family in one spot for an entire weekend was absolutely incredible. From the welcome party Friday night, to the golf tournament Saturday, followed by the reception Saturday night, through Brunch on Sunday, it was all perfect. I would definitely recommend the Bethel Inn as a destination resort wedding. The food was great, the venue was great and the staff was friendly. I would recommend renting townhouses for the wedding party. This is a great place for the wedding party to get ready before the ceremony. We really want to thank the entire staff for making our event so special.
"Our Wedding 1/16/16"
We had our wedding here and it was amazing! Tammy is great to work with and was very helpful with all aspects of the wedding planning process. She was always available to ask questions. The staff at the Inn was also amazing and the evening went perfectly. The day was stress free knowing that Tammy and the staff had everything under control! The inn is beautiful and made the perfect venue. The food was amazing and many guests have said it is the best food they have had at a wedding! A beautiful location for a wedding and we will definitely be going back to celebrate anniversaries together!
"Great location with nice room."
Only one room left when we reached there at night approx 2am at night. So we took the room.we means me and my husband went for this trip without booking a room.kind of a adventure trip. After seeing the room and next day the location we were so relaxed. Its very nice resort with good views of mountain and the village.
"Great condo for family"
We loved the spaciousness of this condo-we had two young boys and four adults-plenty of room, Kitchen was well equipped and everything was very clean. Gas fireplace and washer/dryer was a nice bonus. Even though we had no snow there were things to do. Kids loved the pool and pool table!
"Best spot in the area"
We were driving through on our way from New Brunswick to Ontario. there's not a lot of selection is this area of Maine, no chain hotels in the area. This looked like the best spot to us. it was the most expensive as well. If I wasn't with my wife and daughter I likely would have stayed elsewhere. The place is good though, old Victorian hotel style. different stay for us. the room was a suite, a living room and a bedroom (and bathroom). This was good for out young daughter. We eat in the basement restaurant / pub. We eat on what looked like a porch area. food was great, desert was a mountain of brownie and ice cream. one of the biggest desert portion I've seen.
"Perfect spot for fall leaf peeping"
The accommodations were wonderful. There were 4 adults and we all have plenty of space to share or rooms to be apart. Each bedroom comes with a bathroom which was perfect. There is a living area for TV viewing or playing Yahtzee. The suite overlooked the golf course on one side and trees on the other. It was quite lovely. We had a small problem when we first arrived, as we could not enter the second room because someone had locked the screen. The problem was corrected immediately. The WiFi did not work, but the view was so lovely, it was not an issue for half of our party. It is perfectly located for day trips and there are many wonderful places nearby to eat, although, it does offer a pub and appetizers at the main hotel. Interestingly, no one ever showed up to refresh or tidy the entire week we were there.
"Excellent place for a wedding"
We recently had our ceremony and reception at the Bethel Inn. The ceremony was outside in front of the gazebo, the cocktail hour was outside in the beautiful rose garden, and the reception was inside in the dining rooms and library. Tammy, the coordinator, made everything super easy and was there every step of the way with us the day of to make things as stress free as possible. She was very accommodating and was able to make sure we had everything we needed. The wedding went off without a hitch and everything was gorgeous. The guests enjoyed the relaxed cocktail hour outside watching golfers and playing bocce ball. The food was excellent and everyone danced the night away. Having everyone get ready at the inn made things super convenient and a lot of our guests stayed there following the wedding so we were able to have a good bye send off breakfast in the morning. All of the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. It was everything I dreamed.
"Drive out of your way to stay here it is worth it"
When we arrived we were so warmly greeted and lovely hot cider and cookies for us all while our room numbers were being allocated. the rooms were beautiful so clean warm and comfortable. dinner in the hotel restaurant was 5 star. the waiting staff were a joyful lot. Breakfast was out of this world the choice was exceptional (try their sausages) and again the staff were so friendly and charming. The outdoor pool is a must do
"Wonderfull old world elegance!"
This was our first trip to the Bethel Inn and I know it won't be the last. There is so much to see and do in the local area, even in the "shoulder season", we were never bored. The staff was wonderful beginning with check-in, dining at the Tavern (yummy Mexican night) and the morning wait staff were friendly and attentive. We are planning a return trip this winter for the fabulous Stay and Ski package.
"Our Favorite Fall Get Away"
We go to the Bethel Inn almost every year and we have never been disappointed. We like the rooms in the main building with fireplaces. Our room was very comfortable and very clean. The staff was very helpful, as usual. The breakfast, which was included, was excellent. There was the usual, cereals, fruits, breads, fruit and yogurt. In addition, there were several hot choices.

"A Classic New England Inn"
We return to The Bethel Inn every October for a fall New England week. We hike locally, golf at the resort, swim in the heated pool, and enjoy local cuisine. We find the Inn restaurant average, but try the local restaurants which have a lot to offer. The Inn often has great deals for a weekend that includes either dinner or ski lift tickets included, sign up for their email list. We love this sleepy little town and its majestic fall views.
"Attended 2 day golf school"
My husband and I spent 2 days with Harry Andrews, Bethel Inn golf pro and as beginners to the game we were astonished at how quickly we improved. Harry has a gift for providing the precise feedback needed to correct a problem. He brings a relaxed professional approach that makes learning fun. The Bethel Inn setting and physical plant is beautiful. Our room was large and well appointed, the outdoor pool heated to 90 was a great way to work out the kinks after a day on the course, and food, while not gourmet, was good quality solid New England fare. We're looking forward to returning again next year.
"Another Great Stay"
This is our second year attending the Maine Mountains Jeep Jamboree and the second year we stayed at the Bethel Inn. As always, the staff was extremely friendly and courteous. All the facilities were clean and neat as usual and the food was excellent. Looking forward to coming back next year.
"A nice surprise"
Stopped here for one night on our way to Bar Harbor and were pleasantly surprised. Room was large and comfortable and clean. Grounds were very nice for walking. Fresh apples in the lobby. Full breakfast included with room was delicious. Buffett that included everything you could possibly want for breakfast.
"Appreciating times gone by"
We enjoyed our stay and we don't play golf! The salt water pool is amazing and is heated year round. Downstair tavern had food specials. Did a little shopping and a few day trips, we thought we would be bored for a week there but it was very pleasant.
