The standard rooms are all oversized including the bathroom. They offer suites up to 4 bedrooms. The outdoor pool was fun to play in and had lots of room to swim and to throw balls. They offered ladder ball, giant Jenga, corn hole and other games for free. They even offered free S'mores at the campfire and hayrides for all. Don't miss the ski lift to the top of the mountain. There are great views even in the summer. They offer zip lining and the indoor water park for a fee. I look forward to returning in winter time with snow.

We just finished a week vacation at the Grand Sirenis. We booked through BookVIP and I have to say that I'm extremely pleased with the entire trip, all the way from booking through the conclusion of the trip. We got a phenomenal deal and had an excellent trip!

What Our Customers Are Saying

Written Review

"Great holiday stay at Boyne Mountain Resort!"
I was a first time guest at Boyne. We chose this location due to the amenities, variety of skiing terrain and family atmosphere. This review covers 12/28 - 1/1. The property was crowded due to the holiday season but this was to be expected. Also, the room rates were high relative to the value, but again this is to be expected during a holiday week. We stayed in a standard 2 Queen Room in the main lodge. The room was clean and had a view of the parking lot. A mountain view would have been nicer but this was fine for our purposes as we weren't in the room much. The maid service showed up every day while we were out. The room was nicely situated - near the indoor/outdoor heated pool and spas and water park (attached to the hotel). I would recommend staying in the main lodge due to the convenience factor. Our package included breakfast and ski lift tickets. The breakfast buffet was surprisingly good, I would recommend choosing this option if you plan to ski. In general I was impressed by the food choices - we ate at the Trophy Room, Forty Acres, Everett's and the Cafeteria. All were priced moderately and had better than average food. The Ski Camp for kids was great - our daughter really enjoyed it - and the skiing conditions were good while we were there due to the lake effect snow. I appreciated the free ski valet for storing skis overnight. The ski rental process was very efficient and the staff was friendly. I would recommend booking the ski camp/lessons ahead of time as they booked up during our stay. There were a number of free activities every day such as story time, s'mores by the fire, free horse drawn carriage rides, etc. - this was a nice touch. Overall the resort provided a good value and didn't nickel and dime for everything. On New Year's Eve there were a ton of fun activities for adults, kids and families. The torchlight ski parade down the mountain and fireworks were entertaining and there were a number of parties right on the property. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely consider Boyne Mountain again in the future!
"Great Visit"
This was our first stay at the Grand Lodge. In the past, we stayed at the condos operated by BlueGreen. We got a great deal for the weekend, and we could not pass up the opportunity to stay at the Lodge. It was a wonderful weekend. Check-in: You can check-in at 5pm. We got there a few minutes past five on a Friday night. There was no wait to get check-in and everyone was very friendly. Room: We were facing the parking lot. You should ask for a view of the mountain. Our room was Queen Innsbruck. It was perfect for our family of four. There is no microwave in this room, but you can request one. We got one delivered within minutes of calling. Our room was very updated, clean and spacious. The bathroom was large and very clean. There was a small table with two chairs. There is also a mini refrigerator and coffee pot next to a sink. The closet was also very large. I was very pleased. Dining: We ate at Everett's for lunch on Saturday. The views of the mountain were pretty and the service was great. We ordered the tator tot appetizer, club wrap and kids' grilled cheese. Everything was very tasty. We also ordered pizza from the pizza place and had it delivered. The pizza, bread sticks and salad were all great. Skiing: It was so nice to be so close to the base of the mountain. It took like fives minutes of walking to get to the lifts. It was very convenient for my husband and son. Avalanche Bay: This water park is connected on the 2nd floor to the hotel. It was also very convenient for my family to get there. Our room came with water park passes for every day of our stay. We enjoyed ourselves! Activities: The horse-drawn sleigh ride is a must! It's so beautiful. If you have small children, check out Fritz's snow fort above Avalanche Bay. They have great arts and crafts for kids. Plus, there is an indoor play structure and board games. In the evening, they provide milk and cookies while reading a bedtime story. You can also roast marshmallows and make s'mores outside by the fire. This is all included in your stay! Overall: We were very happy with our visit. I think we might be sold on staying at the Lodge and will skip the condos...
"Wonderful family trip"
We chose this location for daily road trips. Since our brother-in-law is a Michigan native, he drove us from Grand Rapids, Paradise, Harbor Springs, Holland, Charlevoix, Fish Town, Traverse City, all through the UP and to Mackinac Island. Daily trips took us to Sleeping Bear Dunes, the Gerald R Ford Museum (a must), the Tunnel of Trees, White Fish Point (a must) as well as experiencing Lakes, Michigan, Huron and Superior. Only one rain day kept us inside, so we took advantage of using the pool, the sauna and getting a hair style. Beth was a delightful person to talk with while she cut my hair. The Michigan leaf colors were at peak. There is Avalanche Bay Indoor Water Park here, open only weekends while we were there. The front desk folks were always helpful. You will need quarters for using the laundry. We used the one on the third floor which had 3 washers, 3 dryers. The Lodge offers a "rewards" card which can be used at another Lodge in Michigan. We enjoyed the "infinity" illusions of these beautiful halls with floral designs at the ends. The housekeeping staff is so friendly. Our room had a small kitchen, bedrooms upstairs that shared a bath, a cozy bunk bed room for children and the downstairs bath had a walk in shower.Sliding doors lead to the outdoor balcony for a beautiful view. We hope you can make just as good memories as we did.
"Did Not Want To Leave"
I was here for a conference and it was my first time here. I have traveled all over Michigan and have stayed at resorts such as this one. It is not like me to "not want to leave." Usually I miss my excellent bed and bedding, and for this reason I am surprised to say this. The bed itself was okay, and the comforter was nice to have. The room was decorated so quaint with soft blues and wintry scenes. Maybe because the room was so different is why it was so nice. The little fireplace for decoration only, the jetted bath tub in the room, small kitchen area that could use a microwave, was all nice to have. The staff was friendly, except bring your own blow dryer-which I thought was an industry standard-but did not come inside the room. I waited over an hour to receive one and was grateful that I had discovered this the night before my conference, because if this happened the day of...The food was good, service was divided between room service which should not be the case. Many of the stores are only open on the weekends this time of year. I hope I get a return visit request that offers a discount, because I would defiantly return!
"Conference at a wonderful site"
We had a conference here, room was nice. Quaint ski chalet feel. Great service was very friendly, was clean and have many options right there for meals and activities. Civic center was good for meetings with rooms for large or small groups. Walkways and stairs in civic center are rough so high heals are not so great an idea.
"Not just for winter skiing"
Best place for a summer family vacation! Great for kids and adults alike. Super kid friendly! Deer lake is available to those that stay, and is not widely known. A must visit if you go in the summer. Lake is clear and beautiful.
"Lots of Activities"
The standard rooms are all oversized including the bathroom. They offer suites up to 4 bedrooms. The outdoor pool was fun to play in and had lots of room to swim and to throw balls. They offered ladder ball, giant Jenga, corn hole and other games for free. They even offered free S'mores at the campfire and hayrides for all. Don't miss the ski lift to the top of the mountain. There are great views even in the summer. They offer zip lining and the indoor water park for a fee. I look forward to returning in winter time with snow.
"Good"
Nice lodge, spacious rooms with good facilities Expensive , would give it 3.5 star Great place if you golf, fish and play tennis Still enough to keep you occupied for 3 days. We rented a golf cart, zip lined , horse riding, relaxed in the pool and went on the chair lift. Highlight is beautiful deer lake, beach house restaurant and the tiki bar.
"Great Anniversary Trip"
Our kids planned this trip as a 50th anniversary gift for us! The accommodations could not have been more perfect. Everything we needed was provided! Large spacious living area, fully equipped kitchen, 3 bathrooms with plenty of towels, closets, balcony overlooking the grounds. There was a great pool with an adjoining hot tub. Chair lift rides were complimentary and breathtaking. The staff was professional, helpful and friendly. There are eating choices on the property and many shops to browse. There are also other excursions available. It was a wonderful weekend with many great memories and photos!
"Great family getaway"
We stayed here for a long weekend getaway with the kids (8 & 5 yrs) to go skiing/snowboarding. The resort offers everything you need to keep the kids entertained. We spent most of our time snowboarding and at the tubing park. What I liked about this place was it was super convenient for families. When we checked in we got our lift passes for the family, which eliminated another line to have to wait in later on. We opted for the breakfast package, so we had breakfast downstairs each morning. We were also able to charge everything at the resort back to the room - including equipment rentals and food at the other restaurants, which just makes life easier. The hotel offered other nice family friendly touches like story time with cookies and milk, nightly movies, carriage rides, etc. The kids had a blast, the staff was pleasant and it was easy to plan. Looking forward to going back again.
"Decent lodge at Boyne Mtn"
This was the 3rd time we've stayed at the Mountain Grand Lodge. All 3 times we've opted for the Grand Alberg suite. Large roomy suite with 2 levels. The upper level bedroom gets extremely warm and has no window or opening to the lower level. No real dining space, but large family couch with pullout sofa. Electric fireplace. Mini frig, dinnerware, microwave, and coffee maker. 2 full bathrooms. Like the size convenience, but may opt for a different room because of the warm bedroom. Being in the main lodge allows for better access to an indoor-outdoor heated pool and hot tubs, spa, water park and one of the many restaurants (Everet's). The whole of Boyne Mountain's lodging may be in need of upgrading. The Mountain Grand lodge is the newest (non-house/condo) option and offers most amenities.
"Room was nicely sized"
We went to ski which means plenty of equipment. We never felt crunched in room even with 4 people. The room had great beds, it was clean, and had a mini fridge. Would go back again for sure. The breakfast was awesome!
"Well-theme hotel"
My daughters and I stayed one night at the Mountain Grand Lodge, so that we could try out the Avalanche Bay Water Park for the first time. We stayed on Christmas Eve. I found the room to be well-appointed, with microwave, mini fridge, and a fireplace. We liked the theming of the rooms and the hotel overall. My daughters got a big kick out of the coo coo clock in the room. Everything about the room was in good condition. Note that this is the only one of the various Boyne Mountain lodging options that is attached to Avalanche Bay. I would not want to have to walk outside in the middle of the winter to go from my hotel room to A-Bay. I feel that we got a good value for the price that we paid, knowing that our room rate included passes to A-Bay.
"Nice resort, friendly staff"
Have stayed here twice and have been delighted both times. Resort has somewhat of a traditional lodge feel. Rooms are clean and spacious and bathrooms are well stocked with nice bath soaps and lotions which are replenished each day. The grounds are designed like a little village and the kid's enjoyed snores by the fire pit each evening.. Everett restaurant has a yummy breat fast buffet that we enjoyed each morning. 15 minute drive to beautiful and quaint downtown Petosky. Starbucks on site. Enjoyed our stay
"Very nice place in what seems to be the middle of no where"
It really isn't that far but seems remote. This resort is very nice and is much bigger than it seems at first. We were there for a wedding (which was held at Castle Farms) and had a nice queen room. The room was very good size with a comfortable couch that folded out, flat screen TV, fireplace, balcony, small kitchenette area with coffee maker, microwave, mini fridge, sink, and a few dishes. The bathroom was pretty large with a tub/shower combo, good size vanity and single sink. The towels and robes were very plush and everything was nice and clean. The rooms do have was fairly unique feature in that when you enter you need to put your room key in a slot which allows the lights to come on. This saves energy since when you leave the room you don't leave all the lights and TV on. The staff was very friendly and there seemed to be plenty of employees to assist. For such a busy place we never had to stand in line or want for service. They offer a breakfast buffet that I thought was well priced at $20. If you order a few things ala carte you'll come close or exceed that price anyway. Their omelette bar even made the eggs from scratch for each order. The bacon and sausage is locally produced and the bacon had a great true smoky flavor to it. The bar is nice and included a great selection of bourbons. While we didn't eat anything in the bar what we did see served in the evening always looked tasty. We just didn't get there but would next time. Some of our group had little glitches with their rooms but ours was great so I'll leave it at that. It isn't what I would call inexpensive but after the trip was over I would say it was well worth it.
"A First Class resort with a fabulous staff."
My experience was all too brief, having been hired to speak to a group who had chosen this wonderful venue for a retreat. The service staff was attentive and engaging. The accommodations are immaculate and very comfortable. For the professional meeting planner and/or speaker, I call attention to the very responsive and oft-forgotten Audio/Visual crew who are exceptional. An all-around great experience that I would recommend to my family and colleagues as well.
"Perfect family getaway"
My family stayed at the property in the summer and were very happy with all the fun family activities. The hotel has great amenities, but it was the family activities that will bring us back. My kids loved the zipline and the chairlift. We also took advantage of the outdoor movies, s'mores by the fire and the waterpark. Get location close to Lake Michigan too!
"Great Experience"
The hotel and dining were excellent. We attended a conference and are looking forward to going back for pleasure. The staff at the hotel were amazing and really helpful. The only complaint was that the spa was not available during our stay for cleaning.
