"Wonderful staff"

We decided on a whim to come to San Antonio the first weekend of spring break. The hotel staff was awesome! Especially Steven. Even though they were booked solid he still offered outstanding service! The rooms are clean and roomy. When I asked for items at check in they were brought to me promptly! Definitely an awesome hotel for a large family just looking for a weekend away!

"Home away from home"

This is definitely a place to stay when you need a home away from home. The rooms a big and spacious and comfortable. Very clean as well and smelled good. The kitchenette was so nice to have. Fully stocked with everything we needed to cook and eat in the room without having to eat out. I simply went to the grocery store and got what I needed to cook for my family. The staff and management were amazing. Very friendly and always there for anything we needed. I love the fact they have things you can rent free of charge. All you do is sign it out. We needed a bigger coffee pot, so we signed one out and used it for the duration of our stay. They had games and other things as well. I recommend this hotel If you want a home away from home. We will definitely be staying here again if are ever in San Antonio again.

Was very impressed with this place ...the kitchenette was a plus Jason at the front desk was very helpful and so was Kay...2 pm check out was also very good...pool was closed due to treating the water but definitely going to stay at this place again ...

wonderful hotel the staff members Jason and Michael were very friendly and helpful also the young lady who checked us in would recommend this hotel and will go back . the rooms were very clean and spacious loved the kitchen in the suite had everything we needed very close to downtown and right off the freeway

This hotel is amazing. I will send all future visitors to Candlewood. Jason is extremely kind and helpful. A consistent, smiling face can and does make a huge difference in the lives of others. We spent our Christmas and New Year here. It was much better than we expected our holiday season to be. Thanks to a great staff and well taken care of hotel.

The candlewood suites has been a home away from home for me after a flood, great staff, clean, easily accessible, priced right. Kitchen areas for cooking, space enough to move easily, and friendly staff at every turn. Much thanks to Michael for his assistance throughout my stay, he has not only been helpful, and professional but just a nice guy at all times. Compliments to the entire staff, just good people.

My wife and I wanted to stay close to the River Walk in San Antonio. I searched on line, and came across this Hotel. A super clean Hotel The room was spacious The room was very comfortable The room was very clean Now, here is the big kicker. The room had a full size fridge, pots, pans, silverware, microwave, table The hotel offers courtesy appliances that you can borrow, such as a crock-pot, full size coffee pot, and many more items. Really nice work out facilities Laundromat The staff was very friendly and courteous, very willing to help in any way. Parking downtown can be challenging, so we chose a cab service which was about as cheap as you will pay for downtown parking. All of this for under a hundred bucks per night! Yes I am serious Simply awesome, and the kitchenette is very convenient Highly Recommend This Hotel

"Downtown hotel, with no WOW"

We stayed at the Candlewood Suites Hotel near Downtown San Antonio, its a pretty good hotel, clean rooms, large bathroom, and a mini kitchen. But since it has no breakfast, its a bust for me and my family. This hotel is pricey , and right next to a electrical outpost. So be careful.

"Clean friendly, convenient to down town and freeway"

Great place, very clean, friendly staff. Rooms are big, kitchens are good. We will look to stay at these properties on future trips. Beds were nice, rooms were clean, spacious. Full size refrigerator very close to down town easy access on and off the freeway.

Stayed here several times over the last year. I really like this hotel because the staff is very friendly and the rooms are nice. Also, it is not too far from Market Square and other food venues. I love that the parking is free and there has always been convenient parking unlike some of the other downtown hotels. Can't wait for my next trip to SA.
