"Excellent management!!"
We checked in our room Monday afternoon, only to find it was located in a less than idea location (near the parking garage). We entered our room to find the sink was stopped up and the toilet making loud noises. My wife went to the laundry room and there was some guy that wasn't washing clothes but just hanging out. I contacted the front desk about changing rooms and Steven, the front desk clerk said there were no more rooms. To me this was unacceptable so I asked to speak to the manager. Kirah came out and literally saved our trip! She found a way to work around the limited availability and found us a newly renovated room in a perfect location. She even asked me to check the room first to see if it was to my liking (which it was!) This is how customer service is done. Great job Kirah!
"Super Friendly Staff!"
Honestly would have given the hotel closer to a three, but the staff was exceptional! I never saw an employee that didn't smile, tell me to have a nice day, walk me to whatever I was looking for, answered every question with a smile. Just unbelievably accommodating and friendly. That being said the hotel itself was a little run down. Our particular room was very clean and appeared to have new carpet - but some of the furniture was pretty worn and the hallways and elevators were old. Elevators were very small with no air and you really had to wait on check in/check out days. We talked to another couple on the beach and they were not so happy with their room - so sounded like some had been partially remodeled but not others. The pool areas were great. Very clean and huge with a pool bar and grill and lots of water spouts, lazy rivers and stuff for kids. Not sure pool area would be so great for a single person or a couple, but there were plenty of lawn chairs. We stayed on the beach the whole time. Parking building was ample, but be sure to park on underground or first floor if you have to use a luggage trolley, the others have stairs between building and hotel. We didn't eat at the hotel restaurants but Loco Gecko next door was fantastic. Overall a good stay and no big complaints. But for the money and with so many options available I'd probably try somewhere else next time.

Stayed here for a week great weather good room great view of the sea and great beach and the Loco Gecko awesome place to eat very reasonable just have to get there before it becomes full and have to wait but other than that good place to eat and the hotel is good
"Second time around is better."
This is my second time staying at The Captain Quarters Resort, and may I say it was the best time that I have ever spent in Myrtle Beach, SC...in which I visit at least once in the last 30 years. Everything aspect of the resort was above my expectations, and my family and I were really impressed by the excellent service that we received from the entire staff. Thanks!!! Getting to the resort, and getting around Myrtle Beach was very easy from the location of this resort, and it is close to every type of attraction you can name.

Room was clean. Staff was pleasant. The highlight was bowling and level 6 arcade. The staff there, especially James were super friendly. He really went above and beyond making my family feel special. The food there was yummy and a good value. Overall a great stay.

The buffet upstairs was very convenient the Vista 9 offers the essential breakfast foods considering its the south...Our room was on the 2nd floor it was clean amd very cool...Room service was very well ran they asked for a time we would be leaving everyday and always came after we were gone..They have lots for kids around the pool I seen one day a magician and then one night they projected a movie and then one night a glow party!!! If you get a ocean view room you can see the fireworks from Pier 2...You can walk to almost everything on the strip...Very good location!!! Mike was our server at Vista 9 was very good and quick!!
"Mom and Son's Annual Beach Trip"
For the last 3 years or so, my adult sons and I have come to Captain's Quarters for an annual outing, while my husband is out of town. It's a special time for us. I chose Captain's Quarters because of the room style (Oceanfront Combo) that allows me to have a private space from my sons and the great price (2 rooms for about the price of one). Captain's Quarters may not be the newest or most up to-date hotel on the beach, but the rooms are clean and your technological needs are accommodated. But I'm at the beach...I'm there for the ocean and seafood, I don't need fancy furnishings. There is so much going on at the hotel, that you never need to leave the property. There is entertainment, food and drinks, variety of pools and hot tubs and activities. When we come to the beach, we want to spend most of the time at the ocean, and sampling the local seafood, but Captain's Quarters had activities for all ages going on all day, all week long. I was impressed. The staff was out early every morning preparing all the pools and grounds for the guests. Captain's Quarters is close to a lot of entertainment and restaurants that you can walk to. For a little longer walk, you can get to the boardwalk and walk to the end where there are more restaurants and entertainment opportunities. We had a great time and as long as we can still all get together, we will be returning.
"Family fun"
We stayed for three nights and four days. The location was great and convenient to shopping and restaurants. Our room was exactly as promised and true to the photos posted online. The mattresses seemed fairly new and were very comfortable. Everyone was very friendly and helpful throughout the entire stay. The lazy river was a treat to come inside to for a break after a morning at the beach. We had ages nine to seventy-five in our group and came away with everyone happy. The multiple pools, hot tubs, lazy river, children's pool, and children's activities kept everyone busy. We did not get the opportunity to use the bowling ally or game room however we did take a tour of it and it was a graet option if we needed indoor activities. There were Three sets of elevators ok each floor so we always had one nearby without a long wait. I would definitely stay there again.
"Gallagher Family Vacation"
Visiting Myrtle Beach , we stayed at Captains Quarters. In advance we had purchased the morning breakfast buffet. Every morning, we were greeted with the greatest ambience at breakfast, created by Michael & Quan!!!!! They were great hosts at breakfast and poolside, by the DJ booth, which rocked it all afternoon! Don't forget us!!!!

"avior-Steven at the front desk"
My cousin/best friend and I decided to randomly take a trip to Myrtle Beach and we booked at the Polynesian next door( huge mistake!) So after standing in line for almost 2 hours to check in, we kept getting people who were in front of us checking in returning 10 min later to check out. I asked why amd they told me about the horrible conditions they walked into. It was our turn to check in and we just requested a refund and went to a different hotel. That is where Steven comes to the rescue. Being that it was my first time ever to Myrtle Beach, I was getting a little discouraged about my experience there and was about to go home. When we walked into the Captain's Quarters instantly fell in love with its clean atmosphere. We went to the front desk and Steven began to assist us. We explained to him about out horrific experience next door and he was very sympathetic to us and helped us with check in. It was quick easy and after he explained all the amenities of the hotel we were in awe of everything. The room was very nice and full kitchen does help a lot. But thank the lord for Steven and his hospitality and understanding of our situation.

This hotel was our savior from a nearby nightmare of a hotel and Steven at the front desk was so helpful. He got us checked in quickly and was sure to give us helpful hints about the area and the best places for us to go for food, fun, and drinks. The room was clean; appliances were updated and which was great and the a/c cooled the room quickly (huge blessing since it was over 100 degrees). Definitely book this hotel and ask for Steven! Give him a high five because he's pretty much amazing
"Great resort"
I loved this place. It is mostly for kids which is great! We stayed 3 nights and I rented 2 rooms for 8 of us. They had comparable prices to the other places on the beach with alot of things for the kids to do. They have activities daily for the kids, that are free. The rooms were wonderful. 2 queen beds, a full kitchen and balconies with the view of the ocean. We all had a great time while we were there. Movie night was the best. They had a huge blow up tv with a projector and we sat in the lounge chairs to watch INSIDE OUT. With free popcorn and lemon aid. They have bunches of pools. Both inside and out. There is something to do for everyone in your trip. We will be vivisting them again next year. The only thing you need to pack is a bathing suit and plenty of sunscreen!

Very nice resort. I stay at this resort every year! The receptionist are very friendly....There is one receptionist in particular named Steven....Very friendly guy...This guy really looked out for me...There was a problem with my reservation and he got me straight with no problem quickly!!!
"Great Vacation!!!"
The staff at Captain Quarters were very nice. Everyone on the staff tried to make my vacation as pleasant as possible. This is a fun place to stay, especially if you have children they will have a blast. Regardless of your age you will love this resort!! This was my second time staying here and yes I would recommend to others. This resort has a quiet time which I loved.
"Beach vacation 2016"
We stay at captain quarters every year, at least for the past 9 years. Overall we had a great stay. The rooms could be a little more updated and cleaned a little better but that's about everywhere you go. There is a lot for kids and adults to do. One of our favorite things to do is go to the bowling alley on the 6th floor. Brittany Roberts one of the bartenders is awesome. She was very friend and had great customer service skills. She makes some awesome drinks too. Our boys loved to play pool kind of disappointed they took out the other two tables. We plan to stay here next year and so on. We really enjoyed our trip this year.
"Great place for kids"
Very nice resort for families. My boys love the kiddie pools because they are younger. They have tons of activities. Housekeeping are wonderful and helpful. Being right on the beach is great so no sand in your vehicle. This is our 3rd year here and we keep coming back for more!

We will be coming back here next year! The staff was awesome and everyone was so friendly. Our maid Litten was the best. I would recommend this to anyone! Having The beach right there is awesome. The hotel was very well kept at all times.
