"beautiful hotel with wonderful service"
The hotel is beautiful, the setting is stunning and the staff is very helpful. We were in love with our room in the main building and it's stunning view from our private balcony. I loved the quiet tranquility, though toward the end of our stay quite a few timeshare owners arrived and the pools/restaurants were very full. I preferred it on the quieter side, but that is not the hotel's fault. All of the staff were lovely to us from the housekeepers to the waiters and bartenders. Everyone was very attentive and friendly.
I thought breakfast was the best meal of the day along with the poolside snack/lunchtime menu. We often skipped dinner because the menu didn't appeal to us and would then order off the late night room service menu. I think it would benefit them to add more traditional Mexican fare. We did go down to the ocean side bonfire dinner area on our last night and were pretty disappointed by the food, but the ambiance was really lovely and romantic.
All in all, was a good vacation.
"Very satisfying experience"
Spent a wonderful Christmas at Casa Del Mar with family. Very peaceful, uncrowded, quiet resort. Food was good and healthy; service was responsive. If you are a foodie, speak with the head chef. We requested him to come to our table to talk after a festive Christmas eve dinner. He shares his recipes freely, as does his amazing pastry chef. Good place to visit if you just want to unplug from the workaday rat race and put away your smartphone. Not so good if you want excitement, activity and night-time entertainment. We took two excursions: whale watching and a visit to St. Jose del CAbo for Art NIght and dinner at Mi Casa. If you want to swim in saltwater, walk north 15 minutes to the cove in front of the HIlton, or ignore the warning flags and just jump in. There were no dangerous currents or large swells when we were there. Water temps mid 70s. Visit the tortuga hatchery in the late afternoon when the newborns are collected and later released. Great sunrises and sunsets. If you play tennis, try the artificial grass court. Very forgiving/slow surface but weird bounces! Finally, one of our party was injured (not seriously). The staff provided competent first aid, requested a doctor, and was very kind and solicitous, especially Pablo. They are obviously very well trained, and displayed an authentic caring attitude in a challenging situation. We would like to return but it might take awhile to replenish our savings as it was a quite costly vacation..
"Very nice, quiet & relaxing."
This is a very nice resort next to the Las Ventanas al Paraiso resort. You can to the sister resort to eat also if you want more dining choices. This is a small resort which suited me fine. I wanted quiet and I got quiet. There is an adults only pool with a swim up bar. They keep the vendors at bay with designated areas for them to stand at. I almost didn't see them. Pools all over the place. This resort has some type of timeshare/condo setup.
The rooms are beautiful. Some of the most beautiful rooms I have ever stayed in. Food is good to very good. Nice beachside dining.
"Great trip!"
This was our second trip and this time we stayed in a beachfront suite which we preferred to the Aquario building. Service was excellent and we had a great time. As others have said this is not your typical all inclusive of buffets. Each meal was menu ordered and the food of a high standard. It was very quiet and peaceful which suited us. Would highly recommend
"Honeymoon Perfection"
My now husband picked this hotel for our honeymoon because it was a known resort in Cabo. This was better than your typical all-inclusive. We were great with such professionalism and class the second we drove up (not to mention the ride from the airport was organized and easy). When we arrived at the resort, the view was stunning ... hotel was gorgeous and it was private but not deserted. The waitstaff and the maitre d were fabulous, friendly and so helpful. No tips were expected so we felt like their care and attention were genuine. We loved how peaceful and quiet the location was ... but we could still take a cab into the city easily to fish, boat, shop, eat, drink (all coordinated by the hotel staff). We could go next door to Dreams and enjoy the louder group for a bit and a few different food options ... but then stroll home for a relaxing evening. The food was wonderful ... unique and not overly heavy huge portions. Wonderful attention to detail and charm. Perfect stay for any vacation.
"Beautiful boutique hacienda style .."
Impeccable service! Beautiful hacienda style resort.
If you want an amazing vacation with incredible service in the best location in Los Cabos, I highly recommend Casa del Mar Luxury Los Cabo.
It is a small boutique style property right across from one of the best, most beautiful golf courses we have seen.
You won't be disappointed.
"Our Second Stay- Continued Perfection"
The first time we visited in 2010 as a couple we knew this was where we wanted to be married in the future. This was our second stay and also where we were married this past week. Everything was a dream and everyone was an absolute pleasure to communicate with. Our wedding was a breeze to coordinate which allowed for an incredibly peaceful experience. The food was wonderful- in 6 days we didn't have to eat the same thing twice if we chose not to, however some things were just so wonderful I found that we repeated some of our menu choices. Drinks were quality. People were wonderful. It was busier due to Thanksgiving we think, but we still felt in our own little world. It is a little different with the condo owners sharing the amenities, but nothing was displeasurable- it was just different and a bit busier than our past stay. They allowed for the most memorable and pleasurable time possible and we are forever grateful. Thank you to Pablo, Jesus, Norma, Pamela, Magda, and everyone else that made our stay comfortable and beyond expectations. We plan to return as often as possible.
"AMAZING HONEYMOON"
I have never posted a review. However, this resort deserves only the best!
Durtion of stay: November 23 - 30
The Restaurants are amazing, they have only A la Cart food and everything is freshly prepared to order.
There is 24h in dining and you can call any time of night and recieve anything you pretty much want. If they do not have it, they will find it!
The pools are relaxing and the beach is AMAZING. Whoever said they could not swim here, obvioulsy did not take a 10 minute walk down the beach where there is a public swimming area and all the water equipment you could wish for.
The staff is so friendly, they treat you as if you were the only person at the resort, they remember your name and they even remember your favourite drink!!! It is such a welcoming and relaxing place.
I have visited many areas of Mexico and i will say that this is the BEST place by far. The town is amazing and there is so much to do out side the resort.
I really enjoyed the focus on Wellness, if you are looking to party hard, go to Maya or Cancun, this is a relaxing place. However, you can still have a lot of fun of course, we sure did and we are in our 30's.
"Perfect for a quiet getaway"
Went for a 4 night getaway. Having never heard of Casa del Mar Luxury Los Cabos, we were a little hesitant to book it. We couldn't have been happier. The location was great with a very nice sandy beach for daily walks. The staff was anxious to please in every way. The regular rooms seemed a bit small, but we upgraded to a one bedroom with a large living/dining room and full kitchen. Never used the kitchen with three great restaurants and 24 hour room service, all included. Every meal was excellent, lots of fresh seafood all served in a spa-healthy way. Although occupancy was high, we never felt crowded and could have dinner without reservations. If you re looking for active nightlife, this is not the place. Would definitely return for another getaway.
"Week in cabo"
Great place to relax. First time in Mexico. Never left the property from Monday till Friday. Food was great as well as the service! Try the Bull cocktail and resposdo and sangrita. Surf was rough and had a strong undertow and at times you could see a riptide.
"A wedding to remember!"
We recently had hosted our closest family and friends for our three night wedding. Casa del Mar Luxury Los Cabos not only executed everything we asked for, but they went above and beyond with the details. As you know, planning a wedding can be a stressful, and doing it in another country can add on to the stress. But Casa del Mar Luxury Los Cabos REALLY impressed me with their professionalism, attention to detail, and treating our 70 guests to a wedding they'll remember forever. The hotel also referred us to the BEST vendors to use for our wedding and everything came out without a hitch.
"Relaxing Trip"
Ok at first I thought I would not like this hotel. Our room was so basic and small the exercise room was horrible. But I ended up falling in love with this place. It was just what my husband and I needed to relax. Its a very quit resort, you can go next door to dreams if you want night life. I thought I would go every night but we ended up never going. Dinners here were amazing, we ate all but one night on the beach. We could walk down barefoot and they would make us a fire by our table and it was awesome. My husband loved that he did not have to wear long pants. During the day we had great service and could order anything right at our chairs. No need to get up and go into a restaurant. They have a hot tub right down by the beach that was also amazing. The rooms were not great but we were not in them much and the exercise room was terrible. Over all it was a great trip and we would go back.
"Relaxing Honeymoon"
My husband and I spent 7 nights at the Casa del Mar Luxury Los Cabos for our honeymoon. It was exactly what I needed for a honeymoon, relaxation, good food, drink, and excursions. We were very intentional about finding a relaxing resort to go to. The service was absolutely wonderful and always made sure that you were taken care of. We received the honeymoon package which comes with a message, we chose to get ours on the beach which was great. It also offers a sunset sail, which was one of our favorite parts of the honeymoon.
If you are looking for more of a nightlife than this resort is definitely not for you. However, people still drink and have a good time and get to know each other. We walked over to Dreams twice, once for dinner and another to watch football. When we were at Dreams we were so happy we had chosen Casa del Mar Luxury Los Cabos. There isn't loud music, it wasn't crowded where you had to wait for a drink, and kids weren't running around. Plus you really get to know the people who work at the resort and they get to know you, which is a great service added.
I can't say enough about the cleanliness of the resort and the views. We took advantage of the free yoga sessions on the beach every other day. We also took advantage of the amstar excursions. We went zip-lining with Wild Canyons which was super fun, though it is a lot of hiking and we went snorkeling. It was nice to get off the resort, but it was even better to come back and simply relax and enjoy the scenes. I would definitely recommend!
"Traveling Solo"
Casa Del Mar Luxury Los Cabos was an excellent choice for me for a relaxing getaway. The accommodations are top-notch: the bed is firm, yet it was like sleeping on a cloud; the room is very clean, the toiletries are of excellent quality and smell beautiful. The customer service is above and beyond; the staff is very good at remembering your name and making you feel like a VIP. I loved how not only the meals are all-inclusive but that includes 24/7 room service. The food is delicious and very healthy; I liked how each item on the menu displayed the calories, fat grams, protein and carbs. The organic fruit juices are the best that I have ever had. The lounge chairs by the pool are plush and extremely comfortable. I enjoyed the spa, had a massage by Gloria (very strong hands) and couldnt get enough of the cucumber water and low-fat mini cookies. The restaurant had very nice atmosphere but I enjoyed eating dinner at a table with a white table cloth on the sandy beach, enjoying the sound of the crashing waves and staring at the fire-pit. This hotel is very romantic; however, it is a great place to go to be alone. If you are into partying, this may not be the hotel for you. There arent any extras for children; this is a quiet, relaxing resort for guests with sophisticated taste buds.
"A relaxing 3 nights"
We had a basic king bedded room in building 2 on the third floor. I would highly suggest asking for an upper floor room for views and privacy. It was a short walk from the main building, and that was about the most exercise we got during our stay. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Central air worked great. The room was clean, and we had a nice view of the sea from our little balcony. The room was cleaned at the same time daily. Food was very well prepared. It was a pleasure to order off the menu and not have a buffet like many all inclusives. The included wine was fine, we never paid more for food or drink, just went with the standards. There was a lot of fish offered daily, and it was very good. Plenty of vegetables with your meals. My husband had some beef and liked it too. Breakfast was outstanding, many choices and lots of fresh fruit. The fresh squeezed juices were incredible. Great coffee. Service at meal time was professional, not slow, just about right. The employees were always cheerful and polite. We had room service a couple of times for snacks, and our order always arrived within 30 minutes. The beach was clean and great for taking walks, but no swimming allowed. Very few vendors on the beach, and they were not a bother. There are chairs and umbrellas if you want to be on the sand. It was fun watching the horses go by, they all looked well cared for. The pools were great, plenty of them and very clean. We never had a problem getting lounges or umbrellas around the pool. I did aqua aerobics one morning, it was lots of fun and a very good workout! The grounds and plantings are very beautiful and well maintained. Overall, this is a great upscale choice in the area. Pre arrange a transfer from the airport, it is much better than dealing with a taxi, it cost about $100 round trip, unless you are renting a car. Driving looked like it would not be a problem, and from the resort, taxis are expensive.
"Wonderful!"
Beautiful resort with great restaurants, amenities and friendly staff. Highly recommend! Went for a destination wedding. Beautiful setting. Plenty of places to visit with others and relax. Great lunch on the beach. The all inclusive is well worth it. Couldn't swim at peach due to undertow but pools lovely. Saw baby turtles hatch and find the sea. Can't beat that!
"Wow wow and re-wow !!!!"
My husband and I went to the beautiful boutique-resort
Casa del Mar Luxury Los Cabos. All the employees are very nice, customer oriented and always happy to serve us. We receive a great service for dinner, at the room (rose petal on our bath...) champagne, fruit in the room. The variety of the meal is gorgious. We went in the past to many Sandals (Antigua, Jamaica, Ste-Lucia) , galley bay in Antigua, Gran Velas Riviera Maya, Grand Wailea in Mauii. I can say that the Casa del mar is our Top 3 ! If you want a relaxing vacation. it,s the place. Thank you Namast for your gift to the upgrade that we refuse finally. It was very appreciated... Lucie and Sylvain Qubec Canada.
"Exactly what I wanted..."
I think it is important to put Casa del Mar Luxury Los Cabos in context. This is a smaller resort focused on simplicity, good food, good drink and relaxation. If you are looking for nightlife, children's activities or general craziness, the sister resort Dreams is very nearby and can accommodate you.
What Casa del Mar Luxury Los Cabos provided us was a relaxing getaway. We wanted a place with a great view, with great food and lots of places to just hang out and relax. This place was all of that and more. The dining options are in the restaurant in the main building, the pool-side cafe, or on the beach. The menu is varied enough that we didn't rally get bored with it. Of course, room service is included and makes it easy to have a lazy morning, or a relaxing dinner.
Of course, Cabo San Lucas is a $25 taxi ride away, so we did pop into town a few nights to take advantage of what the city has to offer. And as mentioned above, Dreams is a short walk down the beach, providing additional food and drink options.
We took advantage of the spa. Found it funny that the same two ladies provide most all of the spa services. What was amazing was that they were good at all of them. We had massages, did the reflexology (foot massage) and manicure and pedicures and all were excellent and enjoyable.
Age range was surprisingly mixed. In a way, we expected it would be an older crowd due to the low-key nature, but there was a pretty even blend of ages, spanning young honeymooners, to older retirees.
Overall, we couldn't have been more pleased. Our 8 days there flew by. Probably the best sign was how much we didn't want to leave.
"Relaxing Vacation"
My husband and I recently returned from a 5 night vacation at Casa del Mar Luxury Los Cabos. We chose this resort for a relaxing vaction and we were not disappointed. The resort is beautiful and and the rooms are quite comfortable, I really enjoyed the mini desserts and fresh rose petals in our bathroom each evening. We spent most of our days by the beach pool and the service was great, a few stand outs were Jose, Guardencio (G), Angelica, and Pablo. All of these individuals worked very hard to make sure we had everything we needed during our stay, you can certainly tell customer service is always top of mind. My husband and I enjoyed the food options at all of the restaurants and by the pool, we also took advantage of dining on the beach twice during our stay. The food portions are smaller than what we are used to in the US (which is fine by me) and we never had a meal we didnt like. The resort was quiet for most of the week, you could always find a chair by the pool without having to wake up early to rush down to claim your seat. There was a wedding on Friday and that caused a bit of disruption (limited dining options) but for the most part it did not impact our evening. The ocean is pretty rough so the beach is not swimable however that was not deal breaker for us. We researched several resorts before finally settling on Zoetry, it was everything I hoped it would be and I plan on returning in the future!
"Amazing, if you go at the right time"
It has taken me a while to write this review, but the memories are still fresh in our head.
This resort is absolutely beautiful and felt very safe and clean. We were in a ground level room in one of the newer buildings. The short walk was worth it. We could not have been more impressed with the room and the views. We had a gorgeous mini pool right outside our door that was used most of the weekend.
This was the first trip my husband and I have taken alone since having our child 2 years ago. A LOT of research was put in to finding the perfect place. Quiet, relaxing and peaceful was what we wanted. Unfortunately we realized as soon as we changed in to our swimsuit and headed to the pool we came on the wrong weekend. There was a wedding party of probably 40 people that were constantly over taking the pools, bars and restaurants. We know this is not their fault and they were there to have a good time but in our short 3 day stay we constantly were told we could not use one of the two restaurants or pools. This was unfair to us. We should have been warned of this or given extra attention for being asked to accomadate their group. A simple spa treatment or even just a nice upgraded bottle of champagne would have been just enough to make us not feel as outsiders.
With that said, at some point we would love to stay at Casa del Mar Luxury Los Cabos again but I am not sure we would want to take the risk of landing on a "bad" weekend again.
"Wonderful & Relaxing"
Looking for a quiet, quaint and accommodating place to stay, give this luxurious place a chance. Service is impeccable, rooms spacious and comfortable, restaurants with great service and wonderful food. Pools everywhere with unsurpassed views of the Sea of Cortez. Amazingly perfect.
"Beautiful and Relaxing"
My wife and I recently stayed for a week at Casa del Mar Luxury Los Cabos. Considering it is one of the nicer resorts in Cabo, we got the impression that usually older clients stay at the resort (than us in our mid-20s, just married). Nonetheless, the resort was extremely relaxing and there were several other couples in their late-20s staying during the same time. Since this was our honeymoon, however, that did not make much of a difference for us. The food at the resort was absolutely amazing for the first several days. Towards the end it got a bit bland eating the same type of cuisine every day, but I could still go back. Being a "health" resort, all the calories are shown on the menus and there are plenty of healthy and great tasting options to choose from. You do have the option of calling in advance to one of the other nearby AmeriStar resorts nearby to eat dinner, but we quickly learned how much better the Cas del Mar Luxury Los Cabos was in terms of quality after visiting the Secrets next door. Finally, the resort is located a little closer to Cabo San Lucas than the airport (north of San Jose del Cabo). Two of the younger couples staying at our resort said they paid quite a bit to taxi back and forth to Cabo San Lucas, so I would recommend renting a car if possible like we did if you plan on making visits to the nearby towns. There is also a WalMart, Costco, and Sams on the way to Cabo San Lucas. Overall, I would highly recommend this for anyone traveling to Cabo that wants an all-inclusive stay.
"just lovely"
This is a lovely little hotel and the all-inclusive option worked perfectly for us. The food was delicious, the views and proximity of the ocean to all rooms and dining was peaceful and so relaxing. The staff were all excellent and helpful. We loved the quiet and the beauty.
"Amazing Honeymoon!"
What an amazing honeymoon we had at Casa del Mar Luxury Los Cabos! From the moment we arrived we were treated with such kindness. Our room was beyond amazing! We had an ocean view room with a private jacuzzi on the balcony. The bathroom was huge with a giant closet for us to hang all of our clothes and store our items. Although there was a tropical storm nearby we only got about 2 hours of rain and while the weather report called for storms the next few days, we ended up with sunny blue skies and 90 degree weather for all 9 days we were there! The pools were amazing. So relaxing and quiet. Perfect spot to go to on your honeymoon, anniversay, or even with another couple. The service by the pool was amazing with the staff (Hugo) always popping over to us to see what we needed. The food was very good. Room service for breakfast is amazing, sending you whatever you want even if it isnt on the menu at that time of the day. Lunch by the pool was perfect with many options. Dinner on the beach at sunset was the absolute best! SO romantic with delicious seafood and steak options. Surrounding a bonfire, on the beach while the waves crash in front of you was such an amazing experience! Something you will never forget! Fun activites everyday (wine tasting, tequila tasting, coffee tasting). My husband and I each got 2 massages while we were there which were amazing! Very professional and relaxing! The staff was more than happy to get you whatever you needed at any hour. I would absolutly recommend and would love to go back for an anniversary!
