    "Daytona Bike Week"
The studio was nice. Very clean. Had the street view which was ok, but if you book, specify Gulf view. A bit noisy, but then again, it was Bike Week. Close to some great places to eat & convenient to all shopping. Would definitely stay again.... And the staff was friendly & informative
    "Directly on the beach"
We had a large one bedroom with large balcony overlooking the ocean on the north side of the building. It was clean and comfortable. Small well equipped kitchen. Need to use table for preparation of food because there is no counter space. Two large pools with lots of seating - some in shade, some in sun. Good exercise program in pool. Rest of programs were ones you would find in summer camp. Pay laundry with clean new machines on main floor. Units vary in size and view.
    "Nice location"
We were looking for a condo that was a little less commercialized, this is it! We travel on off seasons to have more seclusion, less noise, less traffic, etc. We found our little gem. Only two stairs down to the beach, rather than a whole flight. The beach is very clean. The staff has been very friendly. The grounds are very clean. We have a one bedroom, which is perfect for two. The resort is only 6 floors so it doesn't block the sun when you're on the pool deck, which is why you come to Florida! A perfect sized resort and a short walk to Flagler Ave.! My only complaint is that the pool towels are the size of wash cloths!
    "Great Location...unfounded fears"
Like many others we were concerned about our stay. We have been here for 1-1/2 days and realize our fears were unfounded. Each of the staff members have offered great customer service. We have talked to many guests, and we all share the opinion that the location cannot be beat. We are staying in the "tower" 2 bedroom unit which is extremely spacious with a full kitchen. The restaurants appear to be less expensive than many resort areas, so we may not even cook many dinners. We were even more concerned about the condition of CPB2 because we have 2 other reservations here...one in Royal Palms and one in a bungalow. We have seen both units and will be pleased. The Royal Palms have Formica countertops and a microwave/convection oven but are very spacious and clean. There are daily activities which seem to suit all ages for a minimal price. We appreciate the fact that the resort recycles. So far we have had no problems with WIFI either in our room or at the pool. To those who trade in from II or other companies, we are Festiva owners and cannot get ocean front with each booking. It all depends on what unit is available at the time of the reservation. We own other very luxurious timeshares and are pleased with the laid back feel and great location of CPBR2.
    "A great beach vacation"
Girls long weekend at the beach. Pros: great location. Right on beach, all rooms have some sort of beach view. Walking distance to great entertainment area. Restaurants, shops, bars, ice cream etc. felt very safe and family friendly. Publix plaza within 1 mile. Great seating for having your coffee or reading the paper in the morning watching dolphins. 2 pools. Rooms are a bit older, but clean and roomy. A family could stay comfortably for a week. My only complaint would be the beach towels. They were literally the same size as the bath mat. I weigh 120lbs and it did not go all the way around me. It was like drying off with a kitchen towel! So just bring your own. Washer and dryers on premises at your cost. I would recommend to a friend.
    "Great Family Vacation"
Great Family Vacation - A nice place very close to the ocean. Plenty of things to do including shopping, restaurants and close to other cities activities. Beach was not very packed which made it nice to visit the busy cities and come back to this nice relaxing resort. Was worried about all the bad reviews but there was nothing wrong with this place. Absolutely a great steal
    "Nice Surprise"
I am currently staying at Coconut Palms II, and was quite worried after reading some reviews on this sight. First of all I am in the main building, with a unit on the 3rd & 4th floor. Both units get WIFi no problem. I had told my two 13 year old girls that there was not going to be any internet here, so when we were told there was internet it made for some very happy teens. We have two 1 bedroom units, the 4th floor unit is a corner unit with a full ocean view but seems smaller than our 3rd floor unit with a partial ocean view. Both units are clean and work for our needs. The kitchens are stocked, but they are sparse on glasses, plates ect ( 4 of each ). The 2 pools are nice & clean and the beach is right here and very nice. I booked these as "getaways" through interval at a very good price and feel I am getting good value for my money. I saw some complaints about parking, but I have not had a problem and I have been moving my car several times a day as I am driving the kids back and forth to Space Camp. I have found the staff to be polite and helpful. We had a minor maintenance issue and it was resolved in under 10 minutes. I did try to get quarters from the front desk yesterday to do laundry and they did not have any so I suggest you come with a roll or 2. Overall I would say this is a great place for a family vacation, and if the girls want to go to camp again next summer we will be back.
    "Our Annual Trip Site"
We have been going here every summer for ten years. The location is terrific, the staff is friendly, the beaches clean and expansive, and the two pools are well maintained. The rooms are good but not world-class; however, they are more than comfortable and quiet. Overall, I recommend this facility especially to families. We enjoy this every year and plan to continue to do so.
"Great place, relaxing atmosphere, awesome beach, close to dining & shopping"
We have been to the CCP2 for the last two years, last year on the sales tour, this year as owners. We were in the Main Building last year witrh our two teenagers, but were thrilled to be in the Thatch Palms bungalos this year, just us, on our 23rd anniversary. My wife requested the Thatch Palms when she made the reservation and we got just what she asked for - no issues. Our unit (1021) did not have an ocean view, but was about a 1 minute walk to the beach gate, both pools, bbq area, and the patio seating area, all of which have the view - no issues there. The room wanst huge, but was just fine for my wife and I, the bathroom could be bigger, but is functional. All in all there have been a lot of improvements made just since last May, we were impressed, they upgraded the cable to HD during our stay as well. We only had two real issues during the week - the toilet needed the valve jiggled to fill the tank - no big deal but we reported it and it was fixed within a day, then on the 4th day, the AC unit stopped working, we reported this as well and a technician responded and fixed it within an hour or so. Much appreciated as it was getting pretty warm. The pools are nice, we had snacks and refreshements at the Tiki Hut several times and they were fine - just burgers and hot dogs, but nice for quick snack without having to leave the pool area. There are several really nice places to eat and grab a few drinks just a short walk up the beach, and a few more minutes walk and there is Flagler Avenbue with more dining and shopping. I can only speak for us - we had a wonderful time and had no issues with the facility or staff. Our only suggestion is that it would be nice to be able to get adult beverages at the Tiki Hut. All in all, any minor inconvieniences we experienced paled against the close proximity to the beach, pools, & other amenities.
"Great location and the upgraded rooms were very nice!"
First when we arrived they had no record of our reservations. now that could be the fault of Interval International but we don't know for sure. That being said, once we showed them our reservations they were very helpful and offered us several options for rooms. We basically had the option of a full ocean front room that was a bit dated or a recently updated room with a slight ocean view. We chose the limited view just to get the nicer room which was also a little bigger. The location was great and for the most part the staff was helpful and nice.
    "Location, location!"
I am writing this review mid week during our stay USING THE RESORT WIFI! Yes - it drops occasionally, but can always pick it back up. We have an amazing beach view from our balcony which I calked 2 weeks in advance to inquire and was accommodated by a very nice lady in reservations - even putting a special note guaranteeing. Yes, rooms are small, but have been in smaller. Was VERY clean with updated kitchen area. Last night we grilled steaks on the private ocean view, beach dining area and were the only ones there- on MEMORIAL DAY. 2 larger pools, tiki hut with inexpensive lunch and beach chairs to borrow for the ten steps down to the beach. Is it an upscale fancy resort? No. Is a great, comfortable place for a family beach trip? Definitely! Would come back!
    "Bad reviews?"
Reading bad reviews before our stay, I was a little nervous about this place. Yes, the wifi was out during Memorial day and they were working on it. Big deal? Most people have 3g coverage anyway. Enjoy the beach and your family and or friends, not the internet. Anyways, we were here for Memorial Day weekend and we loved our stay. We were in the green two story building sitting right next to the mail building. While we did not have an ocean view or a private balcony, we still had a great time. Clean bed rooms, bathrooms, multiple TV's, a great kitchen, and a nice building all in all. There are two pools and an easy access to the beach. The best part about this place is the location- a short 5 minute walk from Flagler Ave. and very close to a plethora of restaurants, bars, and other stores including Publix, Walgreens, Dunkin' Donuts, and many more. We will probably be back!
    "Amazing resort and area"
We wanted something BEAUTIFUL.. nice relaxing beach, with interesting places to explore. WOW! The rooms are gorgeous. We loved the layout/landscaping outside, with the unbelievable pool and expansive BEACH close at hand. Bring your camera! Staff was very friendly and helpful! They can tell you about all the TASTY, beautiful,1st rate restaurants. Don't miss visiting the Volusia County Parks. It is also good to see DeBary Hall historic site, the Lyonia Environmental Center, and Marine Science Center on Lighthouse Drive at Ponce Inlet. LUV Coconut Palms 2!
    "What a Ocean View!! Ahhh!!"
It was my daughter beach wedding, and this Resort was the perfect place to be before and after the wedding! We got a 2 bed 2 bath apt, perfect for all of us! and the morning of the wedding, waking up looking at the gorgeous view and then getting my coffee from my daughter before she got dress was priceless! Great accommodation, clean, excellent customer services, great location! Definitely we will come back!
"Good Clean Room Close to Beach and Restaurants."
I have stayed here before, had a two bedroom condo. We had 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 balconies, a living room and full kitchen. our views were beautiful, the ocean just a few steps away, and the pools are great. it is in a great location, not far from the main roads and close to many restaurants, I would say they are all within walking distance. Truly stay here it may be a bit dated but the beds are comfy, it has a great location, the staff are always friendly and helpful, and it is clean. I could be wrong but when I am on vacation I do not stay in my room for the duration of my trip, I am out and about enjoying the surroundings.
"Bungalow really wasn't bad after all"
Checked in with low expectations after reading the mediocre reviews. Initially disappointed when front desk assigned us a bungalow. In spite of the very small bedroom and bathroom wasn't all that bad for the price. As MVSC owners, everything is a tough act to follow. This resort has an excellent friendly staff including the front desk and Maintenance who arranged to have our broken TV replaced with a flat panel promptly and the Activities Director who in spite of the inclement weather helped us enjoy poolside! The location is one of our favorite in Florida. I would definitely consider returning.
"Vacation at Coconut Palms Beach Resort 2"
We really enjoyed this place. Pretty laid back, but still a nice resort. Granted we are use to a lot of 5 star resorts, but they can be stuffy. I would rate this as a 4 star with friendly staff which would bring it to a 5 star. If your looking for a family friendly resort this is the one.
    "nice place to stay"
People were very friendly, room was fine, pools were great, beach is clean, pull-out sofa was extremely uncomfortable, walking distance to Flagler where there are tons of shoppes and restaurants. Will stay here again.
    "Beautiful Place"
My husband and I stayed at the CPBR2 in mid-April (we exchanged via II) and had an absolutely lovely time. After reading some of the reviews we were a bit nervous and called in advance to check on our 2BR room and found out that we did not have a view. Since we no longer needed a 2BR, (we had exchanged to get a 2BR as we were expecting guests one or two nights when we first booked, but the guests' plans changed), we talked to Frankie and traded the 2BR for a 1BR and a view and we were very happy with our view. We faced east overlooking a bit of the parking lot, but on the 2nd floor that never bothered us. We could see the lower pool area and lots and lots of beach and ocean! It was great. The room was very lovely - maybe the bathroom was a bit small, but there was plenty of closet space to hold all of my bathroom products. Other than the fantastic room and view, we also met great people! Hanging by the pool with them every day and exchanging stories about the cold weather and SNOW we were missing out on up north :) - did I mention it was April? What a fun time! The other great thing about this hotel is that it is within walking distance to GREAT establishments. Tony and Joes is just a building away, Breakers is about a 3 block walk - either on the beach or the street and Flagler Avenue - only 3 blocks away - is loaded with fun shops, restaurants and bars! We will definitely go back as we barely scratched the surface on seeing everything there is to see in NSB!
    "Great location."
Stayed here in May for a week. Our room was great. The view from our balcony was awesome, south side. All the staff was great. We go every year for our R&R. The air-condition noise in the room is the only issue but at least it was cooling great. This Beach is one of the best.
"We stay here every year and have a great time in New Smyrna beach"
Very well kept resort .Rooms have just been redone and are great...There are 2 pools and you walk right on the beach.....Tiki bar serving food and cold drinks...non alcohol..Walk for miles on the beach or in town.. You can walk just about everywhere and enjoy a small town on the ocean....Excellent resturants..
"All Good! We are on vacation!"
Being "jaded" Marriott owners, your first impression of the unit (2014-Thatch Palm Building) is small, totally not glitzy, could use some touch ups. The view, not so bad :) we see lots of ocean, for a Interval Certificate room. Very happy for that! And, then, you get your stuff unpacked. Sit down and breath in the salty breeze and say, ahhhh. We are on vacation and all is good in the world. Embracing the simplicity of the unit and the resort. Noting the other guests all appear relaxed, which is good. Walking along the great New Smyrna Beach is awesome! Found a quaint waters edge bar nearby, called Toni & Joe's and may have to hit that up. Flagler street is just down the road and a quick beach walk to access it too, with many restaurants and shops. All good. Yeah, the water pressure in the shower is "weak", but it cleans ya! A few amenities are provided for your stay like shampoo, conditioner, lotion, bar soap, dishwasher soap, a days worth of coffee-yes no filters-so bring your own-no worries, dish soap. All good. Hide a bed is ok...I am sleeping great with the fresh breeze thru the night. All good. So the bad reviews, take em with a grain of salt. You are on vacation! Oh yes, check in went very smoothly! And this building has a big deck for sitting with several deck chairs and chair side tables.
    "It's Like Home to Us"
We have been vacationing every winter at Coconut Palms Resort 2 for the past 14 years. We are owners at the resort and find it very comfortable. We enjoy the location, close to downtown, and walking the beach is the best. The sunrise is beautiful and good food is easy to find. Getting away from winter every year if even for a week is great.
    "nice"
it was so beautiful, you must see for yourself. had a great time with my children.enjoyed the vacation so much didn't want to come back home.bought groceries for the kitchen amd had some good food, fully equipped . we all so much loved it.
"Just got back from beautiful New Smyrna Beach"
We stayed at Coconut Palms Resort II, for eight days, seven nights, and had a wonderful time. The beach is right out back, just steps away, two wonderful pools, lots of activities and a pool side tiki bar if that is your thing, the weather was perfect and the ammenities were nice. The room was adequately clean, they are in the process of a complete remodel, we did not have a remodeled room, yet we found it nice, clean and it worked out great for us. It was stocked well with what you need to get by, coffee maker, toaster, dishes etc. We were there for Biketoberfest so were in and out quite a bit, the staff was friendly, the unit was perfect for our needs and I would go back in a heartbeat... New Smyrna is beautiful, quiet and not overly built up. We also located a daycare center called First Friends just over the bridge near canal street that allowed you to do drop in child care for $25.00 a day, my grandson had so much fun there he did not want to leave and that allowed us to get some motorcycle riding in, after we got his Disney, beach, and pool days out of the way. We love the facility and the location. Beds and pillows were comfortable too, that hard to find away from home. Some of the complaints I've read on here just didn't seem to apply, if you are overly picky and looking for luxury maybe this is not the place for you, if you are looking for clean, fun, convenient accomodations don't pass this place up.
