Crowne Plaza Phoenix Airport

When flying early morning out of Sky Harbor International Airport, we usually stay the night before at the Crowne Plaza. It is close to the airport and they run a shuttle to and from every half-hour. If you just need a place to park your car while gone, not stay overnight, they have a daily rate. They also have a Stay and Fly rate which includes a room and parking. With a restaurant, bar, fitness center, swimming pool and hot tub all on site, one has everything needed for a great stay.

We stayed at the Crowne Plaza Phoenix Airport after a long transatlantic flight of over 10 hours. Quick pick-up by the airport shuttle after calling them and we were met by a very nice driver who loaded and unloaded our luggage. What a welcome relief to arrive to very friendly check-in personnel. We went to our room and immediately went to bed though it was only 7 PM. At first the air conditioner made a lot of variant changes in sound, but eventually rectified itself. Room was quiet, only issue was that when someone went to the bathroom in the adjacent room, you could hear the "trickle". The room was lovely, a nice size and for the most part very clean, though we did find a few stray hairs on the floor of the bathroom as well as a dried-up soft contact lens stuck to the tile floor. The linens were spotless, crisp and white! We paid to have breakfast included which is a real value when doing so in advance and the buffet had a lot of excellent offerings, though as with most buffets the food is never quite hot enough. The dining room staff was super friendly and made sure to check-in on us frequently to see if there was anything we needed. Never before have we experience such a friendly and efficient and competent staff at a hotel breakfast buffet, even in 5-star hotels! Our car arrived promptly from the valet at check-out where we had kept it parked during our travels. Special note: We have used their valet parking before when traveling without staying at the hotel. You do not have to stay at the hotel to park here, You can book it with them directly or through "way" (a big savings) and the valet staff are so friendly and efficient. You pull in, they get your luggage out and there is lovely, cushioned outdoor furniture you sit in to wait for the shuttle. Very friendly helpful staff! Your car will be very secure, very important to us as in the pat we had had a Doge Ram truck stolen and driven to Mexico and back before it was located with an excessive amount of damage by border control. I would never leave a vehicle at airport hotel that was not secure. In spite of the few flaws with the hotel that experienced during our stay, I still have to give them 5 stars overall as the rooms are very nice and the staff is AMAZING; if the current management is responsible for the staff attitude, I saw bravo to them! As a former hotel manager, I know how difficult it is to get all staff to present such a friendly and positive attitude to the customer. Some times the rates at this hotel are too high for us to stay at - "in season" - but whenever the cost is in our price range, we will never stay anywhere else. Just sad it took us 14 years living in Arizona to discover this gem when flying in and out of Sky Harbor!

We have stayed here several times when we have an early flight to catch. The rooms are quiet and clean. The shuttle runs every 30 or 60 minutes depending on the hour. The driver was out front early, helped load the shuttle and exactly on the minute headed to the airport. He then helped us get our bags to the curb. That level of service and sensitivity to time is very much appreciated. Plus were were able to leave our car in the covered parking with good valet service at drop off and pick-up. Speaking of pick-up we've never had to wait an uncomfortable length of time to be picked up at our terminal. When we arrived back at the hotel our car was in the front ready to go. Nice job by the staff!

This Hotel is very nice. The room was fresh and big. I really cant think of one thing that is wrong. The staff was very helpful and very willing to help. There is plenty of parking if you have a trailer or large truck. I will be back if I find myself in the area.

The hotel is super clean. Actually witnessed the cleaning staff disinfecting the tub. Staff is all super friendly. Room service is great and the food is actually good! Can even have a bar drink delivered to the room! Great experience!

Went to see a Diamond Back Baseball Game. Perfect place to stay. Easy access to Chase Field. Tram picks up right in front of Hotel & drops right next to field. Close to Phoneix Airport(with shuttle service) Breakfast comes with price of room.

Getting from the airport to the Crowne Plaza is very easy - you don't need a taxi or hotel shuttle. I took the (free) Sky Train from the airport terminal to the 44th Street interchange, walked across the bridge to the metro station platform and crossed the road. It was less than 15 minutes in all. The reception staff were really friendly and made us feel very welcome. Check-in took very little time and we were soon in the room. The room was spacious and comfortable with a nice bathroom and very good (and free) Wi-Fi. Despite its proximity to the airport, there was very little noise during the night. There's a Starbucks in the lobby. I will definitely choose Crowne Plaza next time I am at Phoenix Sky Harbor.

The easiest airport hotel to reach...ride the AIR TRAIN from terminal 3 or 4 to the airport light rail station. Down the escalator and across the street. This has become my first choice when traveling to Phoenix. Very friendly and helpful friendly desk team...they all focus on taking care of the guest. Fast and friendly check-in. Top notch pool and spa just outside the bar and restaurant, and a nice lobby bar that doubles as a Starbucks in the morning! Light rail stops in front of the hotel, making trips to Tempe, ASU campus, Heard Museum, Art Museum very easy. UBER is also right there when I need one. Checking out...skip the airport shuttle and walk across to the Air Train for a quick ride to the terminal. BTW PHX airport has an incredible number of quality restaurants. It is so superior to any other Western US airport.

Really loved the staff. From the front desk to the chefs in the kitchen. Everyone was super super nice. The "free" valet was odd. Bc there's not a lot of parking, but no big deal really. I liked the gym a lot. Good pool. Good breakfast buffet ($15.95). Not many grocery stores around the area tho. So bring snacks. A+ place. Minus the absolutely horrendous wifi. Worse wifi I ever experienced.

My one slight gripe would be about the valet parking. Not really needed but everything else is fantastic. The quality of every member of staff in the hotel is first class. They are obviously trained to be positive and courteous with all guests. Without a doubt the best staff i have encountered in a hotel from the staff at the front desk to the kitchen, valet, bar staff. First class. The rooms are large, clean and the pool area is really excellent. I cannot fault this hotel, especially as we got the room for such a good price.

I booked through a Priceline blind deal so I didn't know what hotel I was getting till after I paid. I was thrilled when I got to the hotel. Welcoming staff, clean hotel, comfortable bed, great amenities and so close to the airport.

We stayed one night and wished it could have been longer. The personnel was so friendly and helpful. Being from out of town, all was willing to help is with directions. Not only the front desk but the valet workers also. The room was very clean - set the bar for many other hotels: They front desk had flyers to give us with directions for wherever we wanted. I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a Crown Plaza that sets high standard and lives up to it:

This is a great airport Crowne Plaza! The hotel van driver is very friendly and so is the front desk. The need for a room key to get up to your room is a little overly scrutinized for an airport hotel, that BTW is in a safe area. The rooms are modern and clean with great bedding and modern clean bathrooms! This hotel is great for families or those on business!

My wife and I stayed at the hotel last year for a conference. During the conference we won an overnight stay with breakfast for two. We went to the Pueblo Grande Museum that is across the street from the hotel and walked thru the 2/3 mile trail while it was 98 degrees outside. After this we were both feeling very exhausted and we still had an hour or so before check in. We went to the hotel desk and spoke with Jennifer and she checked us right in with no problem what so ever, Our stay very quiet and very relaxing.We will definatly be back.

This hotel always lives up to expectations. Perfect location to the airport and light rail to get around town. Staff sometimes isnt the friendliest, but the rooms are always clean, we always have a good time, and will be here again and again for D-Backs baseball.

I arrived from the airport at 1:15am and was so happy to have a dark and quiet room. The restaurant options were very good and the gym had really fantastic equipment. Ask for a room facing sundown or sunrise, depending on your light preference. My room was at the end of the hall and both spacious and comfortable. The many pillow options were helpful, too.

I had another passenger get sick during my plane ride into Phoenix. I arrived at the Crown Plaza feeling sick myself and as soon as I arrived they sprang into action. The first thing they did was arrange for me to use the in-house laundry. They got me to my room, and were very sympathetic about the way I was feeling. Later in the night when I needed meds, the shuttle driver took me around until we could find a place open at 2am. Every time I came into the lobby during my stay I was greeted by name. I felt like I had become the hotel's mascot by the end and never have I felt so pampered. I feel like they participated in my recovery - and my Cubbies won while I was in town so it was an all around victory.

After learning of a cancelled flight and knowing I would be overnight in Phoenix I quickly booked a room at Crown Plaza Phoenix Airport and was pleasantly surprised at the accommodations and courteous staff. Ease of use was key and the frequently shuttle and onsite restaurant, along with Starbucks onsite, was perfect!
