We just finished a week vacation at the Grand Sirenis. We booked through BookVIP and I have to say that I'm extremely pleased with the entire trip, all the way from booking through the conclusion of the trip. We got a phenomenal deal and had an excellent trip!

What Our Customers Are Saying

Written Review

"A beautiful hotel. Great location."
We had never been to Virginia Beach so didn't know quite what to expect. Atlantic Avenue is the street closest to the beach, but the build-able land between the street and the ocean is narrow, so most of the hotels that line Atlantic Ave have the parking garage and entrance on Atlantic Avenue and have all the rooms facing the ocean with a balcony containing 2 chairs. Fairfield Inn is a lovely hotel with friendly staff and a very good location - right in the heart of the "going" area. The rooms are good-sized and very nicely furnished. When we arrived in our room we could hear water running and discovered it was the toilet. We called housekeeping and within 5 minutes a man came and repaired the toilet. The breakfast was nice - about the same as at other Fairfield Inns, but instead of "do it yourself waffles", they had "pop it in the toaster" French Toast that was really delicious. When we were there - the week before Memorial Day - the breakfast ended at 9 AM. We thought that was terribly early, especially since we were coming from 2 time zones away and not yet on Eastern time. We had to set an alarm to make sure we didn't miss breakfast. I was told that after Memorial Day they change it to 10 AM. Why they don't let guests enjoy sleeping in on vacation before then, I'm not sure. We live in Utah, so the airfare to the East coast is about the same as it is to Hawaii. You can probably guess which we prefer, but it's also fun to see new places. Virginia Beach is a clean lovely beach with a fun boardwalk between it and the beach itself, but it's not Hawaii. The hotel has a nice indoor pool with a view of the ocean. One thing we were hoping for was a patio area with a view of the beach and chaise lounges, but the property is too narrow to allow anything like that - none of the hotels have anything like that. The Courtyard, several streets down does have a small pool, but it is in the front of the building right on Atlantic Ave. One thing you need to plan for if you're going to stay here is that they furnish no towels for the beach. That is a problem if you fly in and have limited space in your suitcase. We had a very light weight blanket with us so took that to the beach and that worked. We spent very little beach time. There are rental places on the beach that offer chairs, lounges, umbrellas etc, but their rates are very high. There are also shops on Atlantic Ave that sell beach items for a fairly reasonable price. If you plan to spend a lot of time on the beach that would probably be the best option. The rooms feature "blackout drapes" which helps in the morning, because the sun comes up right out of the ocean and hits the hotel straight on - very bright. The rooms feature a fridge and I think a micro wave - we didn't use it if there was ones I'm not sure. We thought this was a very nice place to stay and if we ever decide to go there again we would certainly plan on staying there.
"Location is fabulous"
This was our first trip to VA beach. Prices were high but location can't be beat! Right on the boardwalk, close to restaurants and shops. Directly on the beach, great view to the pier! Pool is nice, staff work very hard to keep up with sand and water. Front desk staff very nice and helpful. We parked when we arrived and didn't move the car until we checked out, location is perfect!
"Exceeded our expectations"
Stayed here during the Shamrock Marathon weekend in March 2015. Even though we were unable to reserve the group rate, we choose to stay here based on the location and reviews of the property. We had high expectations, and I'm happy to say that this hotel exceeded our expectations. The room was clean, comfortable and fresh smelling. The hotel was very accommodating to runners by ensuring that the breakfast area was well stocked and ready to go to allow runners plenty of time to get to the start line. The front desk staff was friendly, professional and engaging. Not only were they helpful, but all the staff (including breakfast staff and housekeepers) were offering encouragement to runners. Brady was great. There was also a young blond lady (and I apologize that I can't remember her name) was also great. The onsite complementary parking was a nice touch, and not offered by other hotels. The only minor complaint about the room was the carpet was a bit worn, but this is to be expected at a high volume beach hotel. We definitely recommend this property.
"Nice beach hotel"
Nice hotel right on the Virginia Beach boardwalk....can't beat the location with a variety of restaurants within easy walking distance. Decent size room. Two plastic chairs on the balcony...definitely needed a table to set drinks on. Good variety of choices for breakfast (eggs, bacon or sausage, cereal, bagels, french toast, yogurt, fruit..) but the same choices every day. Indoor pool is pretty small as is the exercise room....not an issue with nice weather since you will be at the beach or running on the boardwalk, but both could be packed on a rainy day.
"Above and beyond...."
We loved our stay at the Fairfield Inn. I have to first give a huge thank you to the front desk staff, especially a young lady named Brooklyn or Brookwyn (I am so ashamed that I lost the business card with her name on it), because she is head and shoulders above the rest. She went out of her way to accommodate our every need. Our room was perfect, clean, quiet...everything you could want. The only drawback I saw to the property is they don't have an outdoor pool. There is an indoor one, but that is the only thing that I really missed. Other than that, keep up the good work guys! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
"Great Place"
Great place, rooms nice, helpful friendly staff. Large bathroom and the rooms are good size. We had 2 rooms one with King bed and sofa , the other had 2 beds and chair, great location. Rooms have small refrigerator, no microwave. Beautiful ocean view. Will definitely be staying here again. Awesome place!!
"Outstanding property"
We took a mini-vacation and decided on this property as it was centrally located. The beach wasn't too busy and we could sit in our room and listen to the sound of the waves. We always try to stay in Marriott properties and this one did not disappoint. The staff was wonderful. The only critical comment is thei exercise room has no weight equipment. It appears to have been an afterthought. The staff came to the rescue, though. The evening we checked in, the young lady at the desk, Carolyn (?) called another nearby Marriott and they said I was welcome to use their gym. Then in the morning, Courtney Payne called down for me and ensured I was good to go. A mile jog down and back an some lifts there and I was set. Each morning Courtney's smiling face was there to help. Made the stay and we will go back.
"Amazing hotel, Will stay again!"
Me & my husband actually stayed here for valentines day weekend. We had a king room with a Jacuzzi. the bathroom was very spacious. They had many options for breakfast. It was very relaxing & comfortable will absolutely come again. Indoor pool. Also no room service or restaurant on site :/ but everything else was amazing.
"Excellent Customer Service at a Beautiful Hotel"
We loved everything about the Fairfield! The location was perfect, the costs were reasonable, the rooms were clean, and the staff was exceptional! We will surely be coming back! A special shout out to Courtney and Brady really made us feel special! Thank you!!
"Overall Great Experience"
This was our first trip to Virginia Beach for my daughters cheerleading competition and we were not sure where to stay. I chose the Fairfield Inn over other Marriott properties because of its close proximity (walking distance) to the Convention Center. Everything about the property and staff was great. What was exceptional, was the level of service from Brady at the front desk. The personal greetings, by name, to my family everytime he saw us, the restaurant recommendations and the genuine feeling of him wanting to make our stay the best it could be, was more on the level of a JW Marriott Hotel. Although some of the other Marriott properties on the beach looked newer, we will be back to the Fairfield Inn next year as long as Brady is working there. We have already told other cheer team families to stay here next year.
"My go-to choice in VB."
This is my second time at the Fairfield Oceanfront. My first experience was great, and this time was no different. I had to be in Norfolk/VB for a weeklong conference. But, by the time my company approved my travel, the conference center was booked solid. So, I had to find alternate accommodations. I had previously stayed here during the 2014 Rock'n'Roll Half Marathon. I immediately called and booked a room. Yes, I burdened myself with a 20-min commute each way, but it was worth it. Waking up to the sunrise over the ocean almost made me forget about the mind-numbing day of meetings that awaited me. And, sitting on the deck at night, listening to the ocean as I typed up reports was the almost-perfect way to end the day. ('Almost' because of the whole 'typing reports' thing.) I've already got reservations for the next Rock'n'Roll Half. I'll see you all in September.
"Happy, happy, happy"
Maybe Pharrell Williams stayed here when he wrote his song. Everyone is happy. Courtney big smile, when we checked in, was great. The housekeeping staff smiled all the time. The maintenance staff smiled all the time. Is it something in the water? This was our second visit to this hotel. We raved about our first visit and we were not disappointed with our second. The staff makes the stay so good. It was our anniversary and they were able to arrange an early check-in and late check out so we could maximize our beach time. Breakfast was great with hot fluffy scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, fruits, yogurt, an assortment of bread and other items. Even the coffee was not so bad and we are coffee snobs. You will not be disappointed staying here. Last time was with the family, this time was just the two of us. I am certain we will be back. Location is right in the middle of the beach area - so everything is in walking distance.
"Good Location"
Room was clean with a great view of the ocean and you could lay in bed and watch the ships out at sea come in and I thought that was nice. The indoor pool was warm and nice but not real big with lots of towels to use. Breakfast was good and what you expect from a Fairfield Inn. I would say that this hotel is in a great location.
"Great Location and Wonder Staff"
I needed a room in very short notice and there were not a lot available in the area, and I have never stayed in a Fairfield Inn before so I thought I would give it a try. And I was happy the moment that I was greeted by the friendly front desk attendant. She was very charming and made me and my family feel welcomed. I was afraid that the hotel would be noisy due to its location, but this was not the case. It was really quiet. Also, its a big plus in my books that the parking garage is attached to the hotel and not across the street. I will most certainly stay at this hotel again! Thanks for the wonderful stay.
"Good location. Great view of ocean. King suite with sofa bed."
Rooms were very clean. We had a room with no microwave but one is in the lobby for use. Room was OK size but, I will spend the few extra dollars to upgrade to a Large king suite next time. Reason for 5 star rating is the employee's they are all friendly and pleasant. We arrived quite a bit early. The desk clerk went out of her way to to make sure we got into a room and was happy with what floor it was on. the 3 day stay every employee was smiling, friendly, and helpful definitely will visit again.
"Perfect Spot to Stay on the Beach"
A friend and I were hoping to escape the cool northeastern spring and spend a long weekend on Virginia Beach, so we decided to start researching in January/February for places to stay and things to do. We definitely wanted a place right on the beach - hopefully with a beach view - with a reasonable price and a hot breakfast. Doesn't sound like too tall an order, but surprisingly it was difficult to find in other locations. We were so grateful to find that Fairfield Inn & Suites had all that - and more. The price was super reasonable (we checked in on a Thursday and left on a Saturday), the staff was friendly, the room was spotless, the parking was free, and the beach view was unparallelled. Each room boasts an oceanfront view and a small, private balcony. Just being able to open the sliding door and hear the waves made the 10-hour drive well worth it! We were even able to sit outside on the balcony reading as the sun set, which was such a treat. Everything in the hotel was light and breezy from the paint colors and decor to the linens. The hot breakfast was kept well-stocked throughout breakfast service. The indoor pool and whirlpool were perfect for the cooler nights when the beach was freezing. Everyone on staff said hello when they passed us, and even engaged us in conversation when we were on the elevators or waiting to check out. The hotel staff was so accommodating; they let us check in when we arrived about 2 hours earlier than we planned, and they had no trouble providing extra shampoo or towels at our request. (Note: the lobby was well-stocked with coffee and tea, and had a great big pitcher filled with ice water so guests coming in could rehydrate from the sun. Those little things really made our trip relaxing AND memorable). I can't say enough about this hotel and the people who come together to make it all work seamlessly. We were definitely satisfied guests and I would recommend this location to anyone looking to stay on the beach.
"one night stay"
I stayed here just for one night prior to running the Shamrock 1/2 marathon. It was sold out that evening, as was many other other hotels due to runners, spring break, etc. Reception was fast and friendly, hotel was clean, and location is great. I had a very comfortable room, queen bed and sitting area, small refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. No problems whatsoever. They serve breakfast, which looked enticing, but I had to pass since I was running. All rooms are oceanview as well.
"Just left"
I really love this hotel and the location is fabulous. A bit of an older hotel but it's really nice. The breakfast is nice and I love sitting on the balcony. Parking on site. It also has indoor pool. The gym is small it consists of 2 treadmills and an eliptical machine. I like it.
"Gorgeous view!"
Our room was a bit dated but good, bed was comfortable. The room was clean, with the exception of some marks on the closet door that could have been removed easily with a magic eraser! Shower had great water pressure. The room did have a fridge, but don't bring any microwave popcorn as I did, as there's no microwave. The great part about this hotel is that I believe all the rooms have oceanfront views, which are breathtaking, and this makes up for the older decor as far as I'm concerned. I would like to mention that the staff we encountered were friendly, too.
"Very good option"
The hotel's greatest benefit was being ocean front. The room was a bit outdated, but otherwise met our needs. We traveled with our four year old and had a room with two queen beds. The beds were quite comfortable and the shower had good water pressure, too. The staff were quite professional, helpful, and courteous! The parking lot was very convenient, though a bit tight. The breakfast was okay, though not overly exciting (the best part was that it was free). The hotel was within walking distance of a few restaurant options. The hotel had an indoor pool, but we did not use it.
"Accommodation"
Starting from the front desk / Kelly , Heather the food staff miss Vanessa and Ron. The front desk staff started with making accommodations to our needs. Miss Vanessa drop what she was doing to make sure that we were comfortable with the food that we had everything necessary that we need it she provided for us and Ron brought a microwave to the room that we requested it found it ideal spot to set it up and we're very happy overall without all the service that we received.
"Great!"
We stayed at the Fairfield Inn and Suite by Marriott, VA Beach and had an enjoyable weekend. The staff was pleasant, kind, caring, and helpful. We stayed in a suite on the 8th floor and had a clean, comfortable, nice room with awesome ocean view. The included breakfasts were in an organized location with roomy seating, very accommodating, and good food. We had an amazing weekend filled with blessings. Thanks to each one of you and praise God for this opportunity.
"November Getaway"
I just love staying at hotels on the beach. All Marriott properties are excellent locations. The Fairfield Inn provided easy access to the boardwalk. The Beach Christmas lights were in operation. What a fantastic sight from our balcony. I will stay here again soon.
"Great Rates for Off Season"
Stayed here while my sons travel soccer team was playing in a local tournament. Ended up getting a Marriott Rewards rate for very reasonable! Overall, great location, friendly staff, and clean rooms. Breakfast was good as well. Will definitely stay here again! Their is an indoor pool, not very big, but the kids will enjoy it!
"Another great stay!"
We stay here every December for our anniversary and to watch the Christmas parade. It's always a pleasure to stay here. Rooms were clean and well stocked with the necessities. Employees were very nice and helpful. The full complimentary breakfast was excellent.
"Great rates for off season stay!"
Do go to the Fairfield Inn in Virginia Beach for an off season mini vaca! Great rates & no massive crowds. The boardwalk is decorated for the holidays and it is quite festive. Be prepared to venture a little for dining. Sunrise from your oceanfront balcony is truly worth it. Do go and unwind.
