Amazing manager. She's incredibly friendly and helpful. Hotel is beautiful, it's built on the remains of a redoubt, part of which is in the courtyard. There are bits of history everywhere! So interesting. Staff is super friendly. Especially at the free breakfasts. The indoor pool is at a lovely temperature. The building is peaceful. We have had a wonderful stay

We just finished a week vacation at the Grand Sirenis. We booked through BookVIP and I have to say that I'm extremely pleased with the entire trip, all the way from booking through the conclusion of the trip. We got a phenomenal deal and had an excellent trip!

What Our Customers Are Saying

Written Review

"Very nice hotel, very pleasant staff, very pleasant atmosphere"
Location was perfect as we were looking for a nice hotel close to Busch Gardens for Christmas town and this hotel fit the bill. It was very comfortable, everyone was very nice, especially the clerk at the desk when we checked in as well as when we checked out(same person) wish I could remember her name. :( We will definitely stay at this hotel the next time, great value for the money. May I suggest checking the hotel's own website for pricing as they had some great deals that I didn't realize when I booked thru Booking.com, although I did get a very nice price as well.
"Fantastic hotel"
Great location, very comfortable bed, plenty of parking, and fascinating historical attachment to the property
"Fort Magruder Hotel Spring Conference"
The front desk personnel, accommodating (had broken foot) to all guests. (The one drawback were the small size of the beds, and air flowing through the window crack.) Very stately and beautiful hotel!
"Great stay"
My husband and I stayed here just for one night and loved it. The room was great and the staff was even nicer. We stayed on a Sunday night, so the place was a little empty. We were k my able to order breakfast off a limited menu, which was fine. Would like to come back to see how the breakfast is as a buffet. We will definitely stay again
"Nice place"
We took a mini vacation and found this place on groupon. No complaints from us! Cindy in the Veranda was our waitress both mornings for breakfast. Super sweet lady! Friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again! Oh & great location!

"Wonderful Experience"
This is our second stay. We were here for a "Shaggers @ Heart" conference. Everyone at the hotel was friendly and very helpful. I would especially like to mention Cordelia, a member of the banquet staff. She went out of her way to service our table, making sure we had everything we needed and was genuinely interested that we were having an enjoyable experience. She is a true asset to both the banquet staff and the hotel. Her attitude is indicative of the culture that we found with all staff at this hotel.
"Wonderful experience"
The rooms were a good size and clean. Everyone at the hotel was very helpful. I was there for a conference and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. It was close to many different restaurants and shopping. It was not hard to find.
"Hotel and Josh the Bartender"
Very reasonably priced hotel and great in terms of being dog friendly. Had amazing service from Josh the Bartender at the restaurant who made us feel at home (even the canine members of the family). Great location, minutes away from colonial Williamsburg and the College of William and Mary.
"Amazed ."
My story of how I ended up here is quite horrific (don't stay at the days in you're welcome) but staying here has been truly amazing . Two people that have stood out to me are Kimber , front desk and Josh the bartender . Kimber always greeted us with a smile and had quite a lot of knowledge of all the fun things to do , best ghost tours , and best eats around . People like her are truly hard to come by . A genuinely nice person . Josh the bartender greeted us with lots of energy . He made me a drink because I had NO clue what I wanted and it was delicious . He was fun , interactive , polite , and also has quite a bit of knowledge on the good eats and fun places to go . Once again outstanding person , a HUGE asset to the hotel . Truly kind hearted and sweet . Pretty cute too . Also Chris the cook makes a amazing pizza . The reviews about the hotel being outdated , to me it's charming . My room was gorgeous , it was an executive sweet , it was clean , bed was comfy , and room service and cleaning services were outstanding . This hotel is just full of an outstanding staff . Highly recommend it .
"Amazing/incredible getaway"
Without a doubt this hotel is the best hotel in the Williamsburg area by far! We were originally booked at the days inn and upon finding the conditions deplorable and unsatisfactory, we checked in to this place and got everything we wanted and then some. Our room was an executive suite which was exemplary. Very clean, up kept, and just an overall beautiful room. Other reviews paint it as old and run down, but while I will admit that the hotel is old fashioned looking, it's not without its charm and sophistication. Cleaning service was excellent and the staff went above and beyond for us. The two employees that stand out we're Kimber (front desk) and Josh(the bartender). Absolutely 5 star service from the both of them and our stay couldn't have been more enjoyable. We would highly recommend this hotel for anyone seeking a fun and historic getaway that's easy on the wallet but not lacking in customer service!

"Family vacation"
Fort Magruder is a great location for Williamsburg and College of William and Mary. Josh is a fantastic bartender who goes beyond the call of duty to help his guests. He kept the bar open late for us and did everything he could to make our stay perfect. This is a great hotel for visiting Williamsburg.

"Very Nice Hotel and Atmosphere"
Did a two night trip to Williamsburg for a birthday celebration and visit to Christmas Town at Busch Gardens. Picked this hotel because of he deal being offered on Booking.com. Well, we had a wonderful time, this hotel is only a few miles from Busch Gardens and it is nice and quiet and the room was very comfortable. It was not very crowded which we found to be a plus. We will definitely stay here on future trips to the area. Highly recommend this hotel.
"Went a 2nd time"
We stayed here the week of thanksgiving 2015 and really enjoyed it. So we decided to stay here again for one night while we visited Busch Gardens. Price is cheap but the room and bathroom are nice, lobby is nice. They don't have a continental breakfast but you can get you a nice coffee to go for $1. We will visit again.
"sant Stay!"
In light of some of the negative reviews, I would like to take this opportunity to say how pleasant our stay was at this hotel. The location is just perfect, close to all the important attractions in Williamsburg. Our bed was comfy, the sheets and towels were soft, and we never ran out of hot water. I enjoyed the workout room and kids seemed to really love the indoor pool. Perhaps the most important point that made this visit so nice is the staff, particularly the gals in the dining room. Not only did they take good care of us when we came for breakfast, the genuine positive attitudes they reflected set the tone for my day.
"Good hotel for a night! Close to Busch garden!"
I bid on Priceline and got this hotel. I read the reviews afterwards, and noticed many people said it's old and dirty. So I did not have much expectation. However, it turned out this hotel was clean and nice for a one night stay!! Yes, it may look a little aged in the room. But our room was clean, which was the most critical thing I care. The bed was also comfortable The balcony was also nice! By the way, it is only 5-7 minutes drive to Busch gardens!
