What Our Customers Are Saying

Written Review

"Great location"
My husband and I stayed here over the NewYear's holiday...the location was fantastic! Being able to leave the car parked and walk all over town was a great advantage. Our room was freshly painted but dated. Having the fireplace was a great asset. The accommodations were very comfortable. The location far outweighted any complaints we had about our room.
"Great location in the Smoky Mts."
Main lodge under construction, but we stayed in the Village condos, two blocks south. Very good beds - best sleep in awhile. Small kitchen, but we managed very well. No parking in main business area, but there is a good trolley bus system. Grocery store is a drive away.
"Our stay at the Gatlinburg Town Village over memorial day 2014"
We stayed at the Gatlinburg Town Village over memorial day week 2014. We had read reviews on this hotel and were concerned it might not be nice but we were pleasantly surprised. Our room was great!!!! It's like they thought of everything! Even a laundry basket! The room was well stocked and cute as can be. We had a corner room on the second floor. The hotel staff were very, very helpful and Melissa was so sweet and answered all of our questions before we got there and greeted us warmly when we arrived with chocolate chip cookies! The bed was super comfy, the rooms were quiet, and no one ever used the hotel but us! We loved the location and the fact we could walk or catch the trolley if we wanted to. We parked right outside our door or just a hop away every day which was nice after all the walking we did! We liked the room layout and the bathroom was huge and appeared to be recently remodeled. They gave us tons of towels but would have switched them out if we needed them to. Wifi in the rooms was nice as well and ice was readily available. Can't think of even one negative thing to say as we loved everything about our trip and this place to stay! We had originally planned on staying at the town square but honestly this was much nicer especially with the convenience of parking and extra amenities the room offered. We even had a fireplace in our bedroom! How romantic is that?!
"Wonderful"
This is so beautiful and everything was clean and perfect!!!! I want to live here!!!! I would recommend everyone come here if they get the chance to!! Going in the summer is great but the winter during Christmas is spectacular!!!!!!!!
"Great stay and very affordable"
This is our 2nd year to spend New Years at the Gatlinburg Town properties. We stayed at the Town Square last year and the Town Village this year. The unit this year was smaller and more dated. But the unit had been updated and was very comfortable. It had everything we needed and we walked to town a number of times making it very convenient. It also had no laundry in the building, but we just went down to the Town Square complex to do the laundry and let the kids swim in the indoor pool. Very affordable, we would stay here again.
"Love it!"
I love the shops here. The stores are small but offer a variety of many different items not found at regular stores. All the shop owners/ employees were very nice and courteous. We had the best tiramisu flavored hot chocolate there.
"Great stay at Town Village Inn, Gatlinburg, TN"
We recently stayed at Summer Bay Town Village Inn in Gatlinburg, and from the reviews we read, we were concerned that we might not be able to stay there. I called the motel and talked with the front desk clerk, and she tried to relieve my anxieties. She was correct in her representation. We found the three nights there to be very enjoyable. The staff, (the desk clerks, house keeping, and maintenance personnel) were very friendly and helpful. When we got there, we checked the room out, and the only thing we saw that we needed was more towels. I called the front desk and asked for more. The desk clerk said she would see that we got some but it might be a little while because they were very busy checking everyone in, but in less than five minutes, the maid showed up with more towels. The TV was coming in and out, so we called the desk again and told them about the TV. They said they would have maintenance to check it. Very shortly, the maintenance man came by and said that there was something wrong with the cable and that Charter was working on it. It was nothing wrong with the motel's TV. We called back later, and they said that the cable people were still working on it. The next morning we talked with the Charter Cable guys, and they said the problem should be fixed within an hour, and it was. This was the only problem we encountered, and it was not the motel's fault or Charter's; things just tear up sometimes. We found the room to be very clean. The maids came in and cleaned every day and left a very adequate number of clean towels. We were there once when the maid came in, and she did a great job of cleaning and was very friendly and accommodating. My husband chatted with the desk clerks often when he went to sit in the rocking chairs out front, and they were very nice. It was a great weekend.
"Convenient location"
I was scared after reading the reviews, but it wasn't bad. We booked through the Armed Forces Vacation Club which was an easy process. Our room was located in the motel-style building at the end but that provided privacy for us and the other 2 families. They were in end units with a separate bedroom and large fridge. We had a studio with small fridge in the dinette area. The studio is plenty large for a couple but not so much if there is a 3rd/4th person sleeping on the pull-out couch. We had to rearrange the couch and that gave us a lot more room. There were no amenities in our building but we were able to walk down the street about 1/2 block to the other property and use the pool and fitness room there. We didn't use the pool but it is kept locked during closed hours. The location is great. It's about 1/2 mile down the street to the main shopping street but about a 3 mile walk back up the street :-) . Plus, just behind the street is an entrance to the national park. It's a 10-15 min drive to Pigeon Forge and the shows/attractions over there.
"Business trip to covention center!"
Just returned. Had a 2 bedoom suite. Very clean. Beautiful view. Well stocked kitchen. Jacuzzi in king size bedroom. If you are in a studio...you get what you pay for! Thoroughly enjoyed and will take the family back.
"Hotel is acceptable. Will stay again."
We had a timeshare in Hawaii which can also book other location. So, we gave this a shot. After reading those review, I was scared. I brought my own pillow just in case. We checked in with no problem. The room looked very clean. The kitchen area is decent. It's a studio. I guess we stay in the newer phase for town village. The town sq across the street does look much better. We just did laundry. Got the front desk and ask for detergent with no problem. I think the hotel is ok. A bit far from the town. It's 5-10 mins walk uphill. There is no trolley ride in Nov.
"More than I expected"
I booked this hotel through RCI. It was our first time using our timeshare for a trade week. We were given a very nice 1 bedroom unit in the Town Village. The Check in took all of 10 minutes. We hauled four 4-wheelers on a trailer and the hotel was very accomodating to our trailer. We had our 16 yr old and 15 yr old with us. They loved that the kitchen was stocked with all the appliances and dishes you would need. They each made ice cream shakes several nights with the blender that was provided in the stocked kitchen. It was very clean and we had a private outdoor balcony. There was a washer and dryer down the sidewalk from our room and it was free. Activities were planned everyday, although we only went to the Meet and Greet. That was where the hotel brought in several (maybe 12-15 ) promoters of the various things to do in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, they tell you a little about what they offer and then give away free stuff. We got a free pass to go whitewater rafting where we had already booked reservations. So that saved us around $40. The hotel was off the main drag so it was quiet, but everything was within walking distance. The hotel is up a hill form the main drag and sometimes was a little workout, but that just meant that I wouldn't have to use the fitness room. The Town Village is associated with Gatlinburg Town Square and they let you use any amenities of the Town Square. But we had an outdoor swimming pool at our complex and we were too busy use much more than that. We were invited to a RCI meeting to "update" us on how the timeshare company was changing. It turned out to be a sales pitch and took up about 3 hours after touring their condo unit at Town Square. But we did receive gifts that made up for the time. All in all, we were treated Very Good, and there was alot of stuff to do in the area. The hotel was great!
"Close enough but out of the mess, rustic, clean, good ammenities"
We agreed to a time-share tour in Gatlinburg and in return got 2 free nights stay. The time share we toured was Gatlinburg Town Square. They gave us a room at Gatlinburg Town Village. I believe they are associated in some way. We had free access to everything at the condo complex across the street. The room was spacious and clean. It had a rustic-looking gas fireplace and a small, fully functional kitchen. The bed and pillows were not good. The bathroom was clean and big enough. There was an extra sink with mirrors and electric outlet outside of the bathroom which was convienient. There was a sofa and coffee table and a small dining table also. Our room had a king bed, but with 2 doubles would be plenty big for a small family. I didn't look to see if the sofa folded out to a bed. I loved the location. It was off of the main drag and much quieter but still within walking distance of anything downtown. Just up the road away from downtown there is access to some of the best trailheads in the National Park.
