Me and my wife stayed in october 2014.I meant to submit a review then but as I am about to book again I thought I would share my thoughts. It was our 1st holiday without the kids for 22 years .It was Fantastic. We were greeted by the most helpful pleasant natured and smiling receeptionist.we arived 15th of October at 6pm.We were given an apartment right next door to reception it was huge We could have got or other 3 kids in.It was spotless The cleaner was great I tipped her at the end of the week as she did a great job .Allways changing the towells.Every time we walked through reception we were greeted in a friendly way and all the ladies had great attitudes and smiles! We went down to the bar and was so impressed with choice.Nice glasses to sip your cocktail or a beer.On to dinner and the choice was amazing.Ideal food and the staff work non stop cleaning and topping up the food. Some fun entertaiment at tge evening as well.Next morning breakfast was top class and you do not need to fight for a sunbed. That was the tone of the hotel and our holiday.relaxing by the pool soaking up the sun and having drinks or snacks if yoy wanted them.Hot dogs were fab.If you want to go to the nightlife its a 5 eurous.Ask the driver he will take you there.we haf a night at Mixkeys Bar a kareoke place good fun to let your hair down.We had great weather. On my Birthday I was given a nice bottle of Cava ans sat in 90degrees heat.Fantastic.So if you are a couple looking for a relaxing place like nice food sitting by pool and having a swim its perfect. We also had a few trips out and lots of variety.I cannot wait to go back this year.Im just looking at flights.Enjoy and a big thanks to ALL OF THE STAFF!
"What ?"
Sorry I have to comment on all these negative comments , we have stayed her 8 times and find everything satisfactory.
Cant understand the negative comments as the rooms are huge , the food is labelled , if you dont now what it is ASK !
Lots of dishes to choose from even if you are a fussy eater , food supplied in between meal times , but you dont have to eat all day !
lovely well kept gardens and pool area , clean , plenty of sunbeds .
All the staff work very hard and are always there to help , especially reception , with english speaking staff .
My husband was unwell on the last holiday and couldnt come down to dinner , i spoke to the chef and he made him some food to take up to him .What more could you ask for , dont believe everything you read .
If you want 5* go to 5* this is a very good 3*
"Perfectly good"
We stayed at Grandad Park for a week during mid February. We had room 123 and were very happy with it. Spacious apartment with kitchen, bathroom, living/dining area, bedroom and good sized patio.
I would definitely recommend Granada Park (except for the height of summer as there was no air conditioning). It's the best of both worlds - self catering accommodation and all inclusive.
We ate out the first night and the food wasn't great at the restaurant we chose so we thought we may as well eat at the hotel from then on. Don't expect lots of choice but you won't go hungry. The salad was always good quality and crisp and there's plenty of fresh fruit. We liked that the drinks were served in glasses and beers were pints rather than those small plastic glasses you usually get at all inclusives.
The maid service was good and they cleaned the room at least every other day. The shower was good but if you took a very long shower there wasn't much hot water for the next person. The hairdryer worked fine.
The only downsides are no air con (not a problem in winter of course), not a huge food variety, fridge was rather loud and the entertainment was very loud when in our room but it finished at 11pm so not a problem.
Location was fine. It is a 10 min walk to the centre (downhill) but we liked that and also we felt perfectly safe walking back at night. A couple of times we got a taxi back at it was 4.5 Euros. Whilst there we walked every day to los cristianos, los americas or up the volcano. We liked that every where seemed so accessible.
"2nd visit won't be the last"
We had our 2nd stay at The Granada Park in January previously staying the year before with our son
The rooms are clean spacious and are serviced every other day we had fantastic views both times over the pool area
The staff are friendly the life guard Angel is lovely he even took a blind gentleman swimming every day and also remembered us from our previous visit
We stayed all inclusive the drinks are what you would expect on an all inclusive package but my husband said the beer is ok
Food :- breakfast really good plenty of choice
Snacks :- twice a day chips salad sandwiches
Evening meal :- again chips salad pasta meat fish soup fresh bread
I'm a fussy eater and there was something every evening for me to eat ok it's not 5 star gourmet if that's what you want you need to be paying a lot more
The walk to Los christanos is 25 mins at a holiday pace ( we timed it ) alternatively get the FREE bus at 10.30 or 11.30 there taxi back 5
We will be returning a holiday is what you make it.
"Amazing.."
I visited here last year and it has to be one of my best holidays! I met so many new people thanks to the holiday entertainers! Maguelle and Lucas my holiday ents introduced everyone to new people so your holiday would be worth paying for and you would leave having a good time. The food wasn't all the best but it was nice and different variety everyday, the only downfall was the breakfast, it wasn't very good. There was activities to participate in every hour Kids and adults. Adult activities would be killer pool, killer darts etc, where you can win a free alcoholic drink of your choice. The kids would be water sports, games etc, and you would win a free ice cream. This holiday was amazing, activities, food and the apartments were clean! Entertainment for kids was great and so was for adults like reptile shows and birds, it was great! Worth going too!
"lovely"
just come back from Granada park on the 7th feb, apartment was lovely and very spacious, big terrace, the food was lovely always a good choice, the staff were lovely and helpful, free bus to town was first class, lots to do and plenty of shopping and very good markets, had a lovely restfull week and would highly recommend
"No pleasing some people"
I've just read some of the posts on here and don't know what folk are moaning about they are obviously not well travelled . I have been going to Granada park since it opened 10 years ago
Its clean well managed by friendly staff who are always willing to help . My exercise for the day is walk to las Americas every day and it takes about 15 minutes there is also a courtesy bus should you require it . If you pay more than 5 euros for a taxi then your being ripped off
The pools are immaculate and the gardens well maintained not like some of the concrete pool areas I have seen
"Here is a genuine review...."
We stayed here from 23rd jan until 30th jan 2014. We stayed in room 228 which was fantastic! Had a huge balcony which looked down into Los cristanos and over the pool as well. The room was big and also clean which is always good!
Never a problem to get a sun bed.
The staff are lovely, the lifeguard was kind enough to help a blind guest have a swim to give his wife a break and the entertainments guy tired his hardest.
The evening entertainment is a bit cringe worthy and doesn't start until late but it's a 3 star hotel so expect 3 star entertainment.
We had a really nice time and actually enjoyed the 20 minute stole into either Americas or cristanos.
Improve the food and this hotel could easily be a 4 star.
Worth a stay in my opinion.
"Granada Park - Tenerife"
This is based on my holiday. We have been to the Granada Park for 3 years now having just returned we will be booking again. The apts are spacious and comfortable, the staff are lovely, the pool area and pool bar - great, and there is always a variety at meal times. It is only a short walk between las cristianos and las americas. All I can say is give it a try - if you don't like it - don't go back. We love it.
"Amazing holiday, fantastic hotel!"
Myself and my fianc have just returned from a 10 night all inclusive stay here. I was quite anxious about the hotel after reading some of the bad reviews here, but could not have been more wrong.
We stayed in a promotional apartment and couldn't be happier with it. Super spacious with a fully functioning kitchenette and huge bathroom. We had 2 balconies both overlooking the pools, so a truly lovely view.
I don't understand any of the negative reviews about food- I'm quite a fussy eater and can't really have dairy so wasn't sure what to expect. I had nothing to worry about, we both had plenty to eat and so much choice. All 3 meals were brilliant, and snacks were more than we expected.
All inclusive drinks are local drinks, however this is to be expected. They were all lovely and tasty.
There are 2 pools and a children's pool, the kiddies pool was heated as was one of the other pools. Although slightly cool they were more than useable and actually refreshing after a full day sunbathing!
The walk into both resorts is not anywhere near as bad as others have said. 15 minutes either way to Los Cristianos or Las Americas.
Miguel the entertainment manager is a credit to the resort, offering entertainment to both children and adults.
All other staff were fantastic, polite and friendly but special credit should go out to Antonio. A truly brilliant bartender and a great laugh. A great sport, even after having dealt with abuse from drunken guests. He dealt with everything professionally and brilliantly.
For 2 adults the entertainment was good. Starting at 9pm with a variety ranging from singers and dancers to animal shows.
10/10 for this hotel. Will be booking again for next year. Absolute gem of a hotel and will not hesitate to recommend.
Many thanks to all the staff
"dont listen to negative reviews"
yet again for the 4th year running i returned to this complex and as usual it was a fantastic resort food has gone from strenth to strenth always something for everyone and always fresh , everywere on complex is always spotless the staff there give 100% all the time . we went in ist week in december as normal its been that good 27 of us went from work and all had a great time the only little quibble is evening entertainment is not that great but hey your on holiday make your own entertainment
"Nice and clean, nice food, location is fine, give it a try!"
The apartment was clean, it had everything but a kettle, so we just used a pan.
Food in the restaurant was fine, loads of choice. Breakfasts especially good, although the hotel desperately needs another toasting bread machine and another coffee machine as the queues were awful!
Pool bar service a bit iffy, the grumpiest barman in the world doesn't do anything for customer relations, the local beer on AI was fine. The pre mixed cocktails on AI are awful, but local spirits and mixers are fine. If you don't mind paying 4.50 for a fantastic mojito you'll be fine!
20 min walk to PDLA and Los Cristianos (past the huge stone chicken), big Supermarket within 10 minutes walk.
I would definately go back to Granada Park but would NOT choose a resort hopper transfer, go for a taxi and have less stress!!!!.
"Surprised after reading reviews, would go back!"
Was very apprehensive about our arrival having read the reviews after we booked the holiday! We were in a party of 9 mixed ages with 3 kids in the party. We booked with thomsons and were all inclusive. We stayed the 2nd Jan to 9th Jan.
I was pleasantly surprised and happy with our stay overall.....
Complex- there is crazy golf, air hockey, pool tables, small games room for kids. Something to keep the kids amused. 3 pools! All kept clean!
Apartments- very large/spacious, large kitchen with fridge freezer which was handy for storing milk for my youngest daughter, juice, water and ice lollies etc. Clean! Plenty towels! What more could you want?
Lifts and ramps which having kids is always a bonus. You can take the glass lift at the end of the pool to save the steep climb up hill to reception.
Entertainment- I only went to the entertainment twice with the kids and I thought it was good. We went to the bird show, fashion show (where kids get involved dressing up), animal show and dancing show (which was brilliant!). Kids got photos with the animals. The only point of the entertainment I thought could be better was that one show started at 9pm and then another at 10pm both for an hour. I do feel for families the entertainment keeps the kids amused and could be a bit earlier and possibly a bit more to it although I wouldn't complain about it really! I was happy all the same.
Food- really don't understand all the fuss with food and the negative reviews surrounding food. I can be a fussy eater and my kids can also be picky (aged 2 and 5) but there was always something for everyone chicken, beef, pasta, fish, cold meats, live cooking twice with pork chops, rice dishes, cauliflower cheese, soups, potatoes, chips. And then a selection of puddings including ice cream, fruit, fruit jelly, cakes etc. Breakfast had something for everyone from cooked breakfast foods (bacon, sausage, 3 differently cooked eggs, pancakes, yoghurts, breads etc, cold meats etc! Its not 5 star food but I certainly think they try their best to cater for everyone and I certainly enjoyed all the food.
Location- As far as the location it looks really far away from everything but its not, a 20 min walk in each direction to los christianos (main drag) or las americas. Theres a big hypermarket about 10-15 min walk down the hill which is great! With shops, park, eating areas! Taxis are only around 3.50-5 down to the main areas if you don't like walking! Theres a taxi rank just outside the gate of the restaurant. Ive stayed in hotels in a lot steeper climbs than granada park in Tenerife.
"Had a lovely Christmas holiday!!!"
I went with my girlfriend and (nearly) two year old son. We booked with Jet 2 (for the first time) and had a faultless experience. I will definitely book with them again. When we first arrived we were allocated a ground floor apartment, and after reading some of the other reviews I did find this initially disconcerting... However, it transpired to be a really good suggestion. As everyone else has said, the apartments are fantastic and spacious. The apartment we had was just facing the mini-golf and a stone's throw from the bar. because we had our little one, it meant we could put him to bed at a decent time and sit off on the (spacious) terrace, walking across to the bar, bringing our drinks back and watching the entertainment. A couple of nights stood out as thoroughly entertaining; 'Barry White' was fantastic, the dancers were great and I loved the magic show they put on in the day of Christmas Eve. The pools were fine, although they did turn off the heating on the kids' pool on Christmas day (which was odd) but every other day it was like a lovely warm bath. And the supposed 'freezing big pool' was ok, as long as you were made of sterner stuff ha ha.. We always found something nice to eat every day but they could have done something for Christmas day (the white napkin to red napkin is entirely true and it made me laugh) The breakfasts were fantastic and I never went hungry. The staff were fine and 'Mr Happy' even broke his character on a couple of occasions. We've done AI a few times now and for a 3 star it actually exceeded our expectations. Loved it and would go back!!!
Ps the walk to Los Christianos really isn't that bad. We did it there and back with a pram three times.
"Accomodation, catering and entertainment"
I recently stayed for 4 days with a party of 12, sleeping 3 to an apartment. the apartments were clean, comfortable and well presented. The all inclusive deal was good value for money. I had informed them in advance of my need for gluten free food and they did not let me down. On arrival I was sought out and asked if I had any other requirements. The safe options at meal times were pointed out to me and gluten free alternatives specifically prepared for me. The resort is on quite a steep site but lifts are in place and I believe mobility scooters were available if req'd for access from the top apartments to the pool, bar and restaurant areas. Los Cristianos was ok walking distance but if needed we paid 4 euros each way for a taxi. All of the staff we dealt with were helpful and polite. Your happiness with location would depend on what you want from you holiday. I would choose to stay again.
"Brilliant hotel please ignore bad reviews!"
I read every review before I went and was worried as I was going for two weeks at Christmas with my kids.
We got a upgrade as soon as we arrived to a two bedroom apartment, the apartments are huge. The food was never repeated for the two weeks we were there we had twin babies and we always found something they could eat..people need to remember they are abroad not in the UK so obviously the food is not pie and mash !
Like everyone else has put las Americas is walking distance and the big supermarket 5 mins away has everything you might need for babies.
my only grumble was that the hotel did nothing special for Christmas regarding entertainment or food but apart from that we had a lovely stay.
"going back again"
was at this hotel last year going back great value for what you pay .Staff great food okay rooms great what else do you you want for price .no complaints as i think this hotel is great for what you pay .a wee bit of a walk into centre but a nice walk .
"A lovely sunny week away in december"
A holiday is what you make it! And my holiday here was fantastic, I feel people are too quick to moan about the smallest of things. Yes it is a 15 minute walk to town, but it's a lovely walk, and people would be quick to moan if they were too near all the hustle and bustle! The staff here are extremely friendly, go and speak to them, they love it. The complex is kept spotless, and my apartment was cleaned every other day. The food is fine, what do people expect from a 3 star, if you want gourmet then go 5 star!! The entertainment made me chuckle, they try their hardest and I refer to my previous comment if you want top notch entertainment. People moaning about the snacks not being out long enough need to get a life and go out and about and explore this beautiful island. I would definitely stay again
"A LOVELY HOTEL FRIENDLY STAFF"
We stayed here NOV 21 TO 28TH we recieved a warm welcome on arrival we stayed in room218 which didnt overlook pool we had a sea view .rooms were spacious and comfortable .possibly a need for air con in hotter months only ceiling fans .a little noisy if left on whilst asleep .we had spiral stairs off balcony leading to roofed area for views sunbathing .entertainment is not really my taste not keen on it anywhere it was outside so a bit chilly in nov i think hotel should use a sheltered area need to adapt pool area for peoples comfort FOOD all nicely prepared presented freshly cooked and lots replenished thru mealtimes not a huge choice but most people will find something ,breakfast nice choice lovely pastries huge array .lot s of cooked choice too fruit cereals biscuits staff work very very hard all happy nice people no miserable faces here ,all very helpful ANNA reception very helpful .hotel needs to purchase new towels as looking old now some of them .maybe soap provided in bathroom for when guests first arrive and have used bathroom before unpacking .excellent stay DRINKS excellent quality choice of 6 cocktails in all inc deal BEER was dorada which was nice too .ice cream tubs in freezer in dining room also SNACKS available 11am till 12 and 5.00pm till 6.00 pm DINNER 6.30PM TILL 10 PM FREE BUS 10.30 AM 11.30AM TO MAIN BEACH MIDDLE OF LOS CRISTIANOS NO BUS BACK TILL 5.30PM TAXIS 4.50 EUROS TO 6.65 VARIES .GOOD VALUE HOLIDAY ,LOVELY DESIGNED HOTEL
"Fantastic November Holiday!"
We hadn't been to Tenerife for a couple of years and had a call from a promotion company for a 149 holiday at Granada Park. Looked at the reviews first so were a bit wary but for the price thought it was a good deal since we don't tend to spend a lot of time inside.
We disagree with a lot of the reviews on here! First impressions- staff were really friendly and helpful, some of them spoke only a little English but wasn't a problem what do you expect in Spain?!! Even had a good laugh with them about our terrible Spanish when my hubby asked at the pool bar if a creamy cake on display was gateaux, turns out in Spanish translates as cat! Room was modern, bright and airy, looked like it had been recently redone and not an insect in sight which was great. Beds comfy and had everything we needed including plenty of bedding.
We were self-catering so can't really comment on the food as we prefer to try different restaurants and bars. In our experience in Tenerife the all-inclusive is never that good even in the 4 star hotels. We did make friends with a few people who were staying all inclusive and they seemed very impressed so can't be too bad.
The pool area was really lovely and spotlessly clean. The entertainment in the evening was standard Tenerife- not the best quality but great for a laugh after a few beers and the parrot show with parrots that did the opposite of what they were supposed to was hilarious. Not sure if it was intentional but funny all the same.
What we really liked is that the hotel was about 15 minutes walk from the main centres so near enough to walk but far enough away for a really good nights sleep as no noise at all. We walked most days as it wasn't very far and we found a couple of excellent cheap tapas bars that we would have never found if we had been right in the centre. Caught a taxi on a couple of evenings though (can't walk too far in heels!) we were only charged 4 euros which was reasonable. Found a wonderful Irish pub in Los Cristianos centre called the Irish Times which had a really talented live band and Guinness on tap, great stuff, even stayed open late (bad for the head in the mornings though!)
One of the first holidays in years me and the hubby had on our own and couldn't fault the hotel on any level. Great bargain and would definitely recommend - we are looking to book again for next year.
"Nice overall place to stay, slightly out the way tho."
Good clean place to stay, food was pretty good but a little repetitive but acceptable As I just had a bit of this and that. In between meal times your all inclusive snacks consisted of a small selection of salad/cheese in dishes + chips chips and oh more chips lol. Don't buy the waterpark upgrade as unless ur going more than twice, its cheaper to pay your own way.
Pools and rooms were faultless and very clean. Although another couple we met had a plague of small ants running riot about their apartment I seen no insect whatsoever so it was maybe just the area of the grounds they were in ? (We stayed in apartment 136)
Granada park is situated about 20 mins walk away from los Cristianos and Las Americas. Taxi ride normally costs approx 5 but the drivers take the mickey and sometimes take you a long way costing more like 6-9 so I would suggest saying to the driver 5 to avoid being ripped off.
Overall would I recommend Granada park ? Yes I would.
All inclusive would be ok for the week but anything longer could be rather repetitive.
"Nice place to stay"
Granada park is a nice place to stay for a quiet break away, the general area is very clean with the cleaners starting early each day, and having the option of having your room cleaned each day. The food is not amazing but still nice with plenty of fresh fruit and veg on offer, and plenty of options for drinks( I am very fussy with food ) the down side is having to pay for wifi and it being very slow, and basic items like kettles are not included in rooms unless you pay extra to rent one, but this was the only down side on my visit.
On the plus side the staff are very friendly and make the holiday more worthwhile on my visit in particular the Animation guy and the lifeguard interacted with us each day and did there best to make the trip more entertaining and succeeded and are both a credit to Granada park.
I would recommend this hotel to others.
"Don't believe reviews"
I'm here right now on our huge clean balcony and its a real treat. ESP after reading the bad reviews. Everything is so much better than expected. Food good, drinks ok (could be better but what do you expect for 3 star?), so clean everywhere, staff helpful although not much english spoken. For all of those moaning about it being far out, they must be lazy as we've actually chosen to walk instead of get a taxi as it's quite a nice stroll. Not far at all. It's truly a great value stay, really really great.
"Lovely"
3rd visit 2nd this year food is good so is the beer rooms nice and clean lovely and hot just sat in the sun would say to people you get what you pay for free bus Monday to Saturday taxi Sunday to the beach for about 5 euros or 20 min walk right im off to the bar more beer
"Perfect family holiday"
We were here just before christmas in 2013, excellent hotel, the staff were lovely and friendly and the rooms were regularly cleaned with fresh towels and bedding! Our room was perfect for s as we had 2 kids with us! The balcony looked out over the pool and caught the evening sun, the balcony was also big with sunbeds so we could sunbathe if we wanted! The choice of drinks was excellent and the food suited us! Not far to walk into the town, which had lots of shops etc much to the dismay of my husband, Would defs return!
"Great family holiday"
Overall Granada Park is a great place for a family holiday. We chose the all inclusive option which with 3 kids was perfect. The quality of the buffet style food on offer was okay if a bit repetitive, we particularly enjoyed the breakfast menu which was extensive. The complex was very clean and tidy. The staff were helpful, the evening entertainment was a bit basic but the kids enjoyed it. Only real downside being the location which is a bit out of the way, taxi needed to get into town -5 or a 30 minute walk in the heat. Overall though good.
"Good value for money"
We stayed here the second week of September and have to say that it was great value for money. The poolside entertainment was excellent, well done...
The food has been reported as poor, however, we never struggled to put a dinner together and most certainly never went hungry. It should be noted that this is a 3 star all inclusive and for the amount that we paid again I say it was good value for money.
The rooms are spacious and very clean and I found the beds to be really comfortable, spare pillows are always available if you ask. A big thank you to reception as well because they went over and beyond to find us tickets to a show that had sold out!! Many thanks guys.
"Granada park was a great place for families"
I have just got back from Granada park, (25/10/14-01/11/14)
I was very pleased with the place and with the rooms. I have stayed in 3 star rooms before but this was the best. Big terrace, loads of space, big kitchen and big bedroom.
The pools are great and there was always loads of sun beds. No getting up early!!
Food was nice but a bit repetitive after three days. Drinks were nice and hardly no queues at the bar.
Place was always very clean and apartment cleaned everyday. Nothing was too much fuss, receptionists couldn't do more for you!
You will be very happy if you book here. I went with my nine year old daughter and she had a great time. Entertainment was ok but you make your own fun when you go there.
If I went back to Tenerife I would book here again!!
"The life guard wass the best friend of my soon"
We wass there for one week And we wass really enjoy i just have to tell thanks to the life guard angelo to be my soon best friend Ever he wass just amaizing whit him we are Now at home And my soon just ask me when we are going see angel Again. Nivel place good hotel i Will go there any time i can thanks angelo And Miguel to work do hard for made kidds happy
"Granada Park"
We stayed in a very clean spacious apartment for a week in October 2014 on a all inclusive board and found the place very tidy, staff on whole very pleasant and helpful. The food was freshly cooked and buffet replenished regularly but did get a little monotonous after 4/5 days. On whole a good holiday- we have a few criticisms 1. The entertainment of an evening rarely started before 945pm and children who were there with families got bored and started to cause mischief as parents happy to sit drinking their "free" drinks. 2. I believe some of the alcohol was watered down- I am not a big drinker and after 2-3 drinks am a little tipsy yet 8 tequila sunrises never even made me giggly?? . We enjoyed our week and would return to the apartments but would maybe go half board and sort our drinks and mid day meal
"Don't listen to people who can't be pleased!!!"
Just back from a weeks all inclusive holiday! Couldn't fault the hotel one bit...
Before I left I stupidly read reviews for Granda Park and ended up being terrified of what I was going to. But on arrival we were so happy. Beautiful hotel, lovely grounds and my god the room was HUGE! We could have had 4 people in there comfortably.
There was never a meal where I didn have some choice (I don't eat red meat & I'm allergic to fish). Also fresh salads and pasta etc. They also change the platters as soon as they empty or if you ask nicely. Manners don't cost a thing.
Drink was local but once again plenty choice and the cocktails are fab.
No bother getting a Sunbed even at 9.30 as we rushed to breakfast!
Evening entertained was good for variety and Pepe was fab at his quiz's and organising water polo etc throughout the day. One of the lifeguards was also amazing at entertaining kids :)
Taxi into town and back every night for drinks & a boogie...that didn't break the bank for 7 nights either!
I will 100% be back to Granada Park and I can't wait!!!
"Amazing! No faults!"
Reading these reviews everybody seems to be too fussy. I stayed for a week on the 12th October, and it was one of the best holidays I've had!
Hotel location 20 mins from beach, either los Christianos or las Americas or 5 in a taxi. Plenty of cafs and nice restaurants. (Would recommend bal!) Plenty of shops, markets and all the travel excursions on the beach and down the little side streets. I would definitely go to Siam park and quad biking to tidie!
Hotel is on a bit of a hill, reception over looks the pools(3) and all the accommodation. Rooms are massive with a double balcony, huge kitchen and an impressive bathroom/ washroom. Rooms are clean with fresh towels every day. Safes available for free with your deposit back at the end of your stay. Portable air con if needed, otherwise there are fans in the room and you can open the balcony door if needed. Rooms aren't outdated nor modern, just the usual hotel room.
Hotel had food on all day long. Wide range of buffet style. Breakfast; full English, croissants, cakes, bread and continental, all along with fruit and cereal. Snacks; sandwiches, fruit, yoghurt, pizza, chips and hotdogs. Dinner; chips, salad, soup, fish, pasta, meat etc. Tea; fish, meat, salad etc. Differs every night. Tuna steaks and chicken breast were delicious. Fresh fruit, cakes and mouses along with ice cream all for desert.
I would definitely go back, no stress about sunbeds or anything like that!
"21st- 28th September 2014"
This was our first holiday as a couple and it was amazing!! I have been to Tenerife before but my boyfriend had not and honestly it is the BEST place to go.
The hotel itself is quite far out from the beach and night life but for us it was not bad as we enjoyed the walk and there is a shuttle bus to the beach everyday except Sunday. So you can jump on that and then wonder round down by the beach. Our room was cleaned everyday and had towels changed every other day. The cleaning staff were very polite and said hello to us as we walked past. Yes there is no air con and the fans are rubbish and we did have to sleep with the balcony door open but it's Tenerife. It's gonna be hot!!
The food was 3* quality, although we could not complain. The breakfast was a choice of; full English, cereal, fruit or yoghurt. There is a tea and coffee machine and lots of soft drinks dispensers. The meals changed every lunch and night and were mostly very nice. The only thing that was consistent was the chips. Even the choice of salad changed!! The puddings were different. We never are the same meal once. Plus the ice cream pots are amazing!!
We went to Siam Park which never ever fails to bore me. It is so good it's unreal. Best water park ever!!
We also did the Teide by night tour which was outstanding!! There was a trip up the volcano which was so funny!! The bus driver and your guide were so funny and very welcoming. I wish I could remember their names but the tour guide was bald. There was free flowing cava, three course meal and the best thing ever... No children!! Would highly recommend this excursion and all for 75 euros each.
Finally we did the water sports excursion. Which included Jet-Ski, Parasailing and a Fly fish. It was such a fun day out and we loved every minuet.
Overall best first holiday.
Would defiantly recommend this hotel!!
"Great Hotel"
Read a couple of negative reviews about this hotel, thankfully I prefer to make up my own mind. 10 days all inclusive with Partner, son and friend. Value for money. Beautiful hotel, laid back atmosphere, great apartments, spacious, clean and fans in both bedroom and living space. Large balcony and exclusive rooftop terrace. The grounds were extremely well maintained, pools clean at all times. Food was fine, I don't eat much in a hot climate, but my son made the most of the all inclusive. All inclusive local beer, wine and spirits were ok too, cocktails were a bit of a let down as they came from a machine. At the far end of resort it is about a 15 minute walk to Los Cristianos centre, but for less than 5 Euros you could get taxi outside hotel, close to many main attractions - Jungle Park, Siam Park, Aqualand, Monkey Land etc (less than 10 Euro taxi) . Most staff were also friendly and helpful at all times, any issues we had were dealt with immediately, extra pillows, replacement percolator, broken flusher all dealt with before we got back to our room. One of the best holidays I have had.
"Youll love it"
First holiday abroad for a while. Great hotel, was worried by a few of the negative reviews but some people are just born to moan. 1 lady was moaning cos she couldn't have roast beef and Yorkshire puddings. Some people should remember you're in a foreign country, salads and pasta are the norm. If you're not happy with that then go holiday in Scarborough.
The apartment was plenty large enough and spottlessley clean. The showers always had hot water. The pools were large and clean and plenty of sunbeds to go round.
My only criticisms were the nighttime entertainment which was short and not to my liking. But hey, others seemed to like it.
Free busses to and from the Americas every day, though we tended to walk as its downhill. A stroll along the beach to los christianos and a gentle stroll uphill back to the hotel was not too much trouble.
The TV only worked on channel 3. Great if you like a bit of Jerry in the morning and Corry at night.
I spent e20 on 7 days WiFi so could watch free view via the TV Guide app on my tablet.
And yes, were going back next year.
"good hoilday"
Just a few words nice hotel but bit out of the way could always find something to eat .one bedroom apartment was spotless would go again ignore the bad reviews we enjoy it some people are just fussy pool area lovely
"our latest holiday"
Nice clean place, lovely weather and good food.Returned yesterday only complaint quite a long way from beach too far to walk as very steep road.We enjoyed a relaxing holiday and will return to Tenerife but nearer to the beach.
"Great budget holiday"
We have just returned from a very enjoyable 2 weeks all inclusive at the Granada Park Apartments. The apartment was plenty big enough for a couple and clean and tidy with a reasonable sized balcony. The grounds were well kept and very clean, pools good. The food was well cooked and fresh although there could of been more choice, a bit to much chicken and pork. There was a free bus to the beach twice in the mornings and back again at 5.30 pm although the walk down was not to long and very pleasant.
All in all a good holiday for the money.
"sat in granada park bar right now"
After reading some of the reviews I just had to comment ! The staff are wonderful , the rooms are very very clean , the towels are lovely n thick , the ceiling fans are perfect for keeping cool ,yes its hot isn't that what you come on holiday for ? No sign of cockroaches in the dining areas , most warm places have bugs ! The food is under some covers but if it was covered up you wouldn't be able to get it ! The food is fresh , yes there are some flies as I say it's hot ! The staff regularly clean n wipe tables down they are always sweeping n cleaning this is a lovely place to stay 15 mins walk and your at the sea front , with bars shops beach . This is our 3rd visit here we love it , we go all inclusive . There are always people who can't wait to write a bad review this hotel doesn't deserve a bad review and on that note I'm getting a beer and heading for the brand new sun bed that's in the hot sun with my towel on ! Enjoy your holiday here !
