Our room and service throughout the hotel was great! Hats off to Ricardo who made our dining experience special. The food was excellent, room and view from the hotel was perfect! "Honeymoon"
I have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised, I traveled to Mexico many times for pleasure,this time I took newlywed with me and we had a blast, the staff was very helpful and courteous, most of them speak English and go out of their way to make you feel good,,we had the pleasure to enjoy the food,the pool and Tony the entertainer was lots of fun,in fact I recommend this resort 100% , we definitely will go back with some friends next time so they can experience what we experienced,,keep it up
"A week we'll remember"
We have stayed at this hotel 2 times back in the late 90's before it became all inclusive and decided to return here because of what we remembered from the past, close enough to walk to town was a big factor,
a clean air conditioned room to return to after a long day with margaritas down at the pools was a biggie, good restaurants in the hotel when we didn't want to venture out, helpful friendly staff, beautiful well kept grounds. Boy were we in for a surprise, nothing had changed other than now all your drinks, breakfast ( excellent choices) lunch and dinner are now all included, I'm sure you pay more, but can't say enough about the great people at the hotel that made our stay outstanding, bartenders, restaurant staff, housecleaning, PERFECTO! We'll be back

If you are going to Puerta Vallarta, please, please stay here. Everything was amazing: the value, the food and drink, the service, the location.
Value: god the price is great. My best friend and I went during peak spring break time, and we paid about $750 for seven nights each (about $1500 total for both of us for seven nights). And this includes all meals and drinks!
Food and Drinks: ugh the food and booze is too good. So many choices for every meal. I gained so much weight in one week! I probably had about 50 pina coladas in seven days. Food is awesome! I just wish they had more vegetarian options. Haha.
Service: excellent service. very friendly and fun staff! TIP THE STAFF. Tip them dammit. They do an awesome job and they deserve it. PLEASE TIP THEM. (it also makes the drink service at the pool better when you're tipping :))
Location: AWESOME LOCATION. Right on a beautiful beach. So close to the bar scene too, like far enough to not be annoying, but close enough to walk to. Very cute little part of town, and very very safe.
Ugh I want to go back!!! I loved this resort. It was so beautiful our pictures literally look like stock photos. It surpassed my expectations!!
"Family Vacation Destination"
The Buenaventura was a nice all-inclusive resort that had it's own beach access, multiple restaurants (although not all at the same time), and multiple pools and bars. Personally, we enjoyed the service. The staff were incredibly attentive and wanted to create a nice experience. The location, near downtown and the malecon, made it easy to access the shops, and feel more connected to the cultural parts of the city.

Leticia Galeana hospitality was excellent but also all in general all personnel, we admired the excellent service work and dedication toward all of us to make us feel well better than home we were treated like kings and queens. Thanh all and for sure we will retur for another vacation.

"Fun"
We had a wonderful time. The honeymoon suite is to die for. The Jacuzzi tub sits in a Window looking out to the beach and during our stay there was a tropical storm all three nights we were treated to an amazing show of thunder and lightning. The food is delicious and the bloody Mary's were great. Our concierge Violeta Preciado was super helpful. All the staff was fun and friendly. THANKS

Food is outstanding and all tasted homecooked. Be sure to make your evening dinner reservation early in the morning. Loved the mini-gym on the first floor. Relax and rejuvenate in the serene, family-friendly setting of this hotel. Tip: We strongly recommend an "on the beach" massage by a friendly pair of two locals - Blanca & Loren. Pay a fraction of the cost for an incredible massage experience on the sand. Look for them wearing all-white uniforms.

4 day weekend with my adult daughter. Service people were all outstanding. Food was plentiful but uninspired. Rooms are small and need updating. A relaxing time. Would stay again just for the class of service.

I stayed at the Buenaventura Grand for a week with my two adult children in mid-August. Since their rooms come with either a king bed or two doubles, I had requested a roll-away/cot for our room well in advance. I was initially disappointed when checking in to learn there was not one in there, but was told that one would be put in. By the time we arrived up to our room, there it was! The service was very good at this hotel, they really try hard to please you, from wait staff to housekeeping staff to the groundskeepers. The hotel is keep very clean and maintained. The beach is very nice and you can walk for a long time each way. Tons of shops and cool restaurants right outside the door. About a 10 to 15 minute walk to the Malecon. Food is very good, a lot of choice. I really enjoyed when they had the pasta bar and you could chose sauces and add-ins. They should have that every night. One warning though, after you check-in, they guide you to a desk at the side to go over the hotel guidlines, which quickly turns into "would you like to come to a welcome breakfast?" (timeshare). We just said we were tired and left it at that. I would definitely stay here again.
"Great Vacation"
Have been vacationing in PV for many years but this was my first time at this resort. After growing tired of having to argue for a decent room and feeling neglected at my regular resort I thought it was time or a change. Buenaventure turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The All Inclusive feature was reasonably priced and more than satisfactory. The rooms were comfortable although a microwave would have been a nice feature. I found the staff to all be personable and eager to please. The grounds were clean and well taken care of. After the problems I had with my last resort I was most impressed with the Front Desk. I did have to call on them for several issues, nothing major but everything was resolved to my satisfaction quickly, professionally, and with smiling faces. Most of my dealings were with Arriana who was just charming and very helpful. She showed that she was actually concerned that we were satisfied. Very rare these days. We are planning to return to PV in the Spring and will definitely stay here again.
"Great Hotel"
My mom and I stayed for a week starting on August 5th. Everyone at the hotel was very pleasant and helpful. Everything in the room was food and room service was excellent. Service at the buffet was excellent on the weekend. During the week there was a bit of a wait to be seated and for drinks. The food was good and there was a lot of variety. The gym was very good. Jorge worked very hard keeping everyone entertained during the day. I really enjoyed the water aerobics. Jorge got everyone involved and made burning calories fun. The location is great and we really enjoyed our stay.
"Excellent Vacation Hotel"
My husband, myself, sister and niece travelled August 10 - 17th, 2016. Upon our arrival at the hotel we were greeted by smiling desk staff. Our rooms were spacious and clean. Although this hotel is an older one, it is very well maintained. All the staff throughout were very friendly and helpful if needed. Staff was always smiling. The buffet restaurant was superb. We were very impressed with the food and staff.Always a good variety for everyone. A la carte restaurants were also very good. The entertainment director and only entertainment staff member we saw was Jorge Rebolledo. He started early in the morning and went till late at night always smiling and making everyone he spoke to laugh. He was always enthusiastic, energetic and happy to see everyone. He is outgoing and is always able to get people to participate. Because the hotel and staff were so fabulous we would not hesitate to return to this hotel.
"Best Vacation I ever had!!"
This was my second visit to Mexico PV. Arriving on the resort was amazing we were greeted with great staff and a pink flamingo drink (Amazing drink) Front desk staff was very helpful an kind. The Lobby was beautiful breath taking. It's such an open space and beautiful art work around. We made our way to our room, the bed was so big and the room was so clean. Room service was always so good here, the ladies did such an amazing job everyday it smelt clean and refreshing in our room after they were done.
During our stay the service around the pool was great!! one thing that i would like to say was the activities this hotel has are amazing!! they were always put on by there activities manager Jorge Rebolledo! He made the time around the pool so much fun. always getting everyone involved and making sure that everyone had fun. he also took the time to stop and chat with guest to make sure that they were having a good time. Previous resort i went to the activities were not fun as the ones here, he also made sure that after the activities all guest got to know each others names which for me made me get to know others and made us all be able to talk to each other outside the activities. Also he help put on all the night activities at the Hotel which was surprising to see one guy do it all!! Hard working employee they have definitely an assist to any company to have. Overall the way Jorge Rebolledo was so welcoming and made sure all guest were having a good time this would definitely be one of reasons of coming back to the resort as i am all about the activities and having fun when i am away. the other reason would be because of the beautiful hotel that it is.

Over all hotel premises were very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Violet the concierge & all the staff were very helpful, very attentive to all our needs. Restaurant had a variety of food to please everyone..We were very pleased with the many amenities offered. We were their in August,, the rainy season. water began to enter the hallways even though staff had it in check hotel management might want to check on this. Drinks were awesome as well as great Barman. I could go on and on about Buenaventura. I will say this, we will return and surely recommend this Hotel, great service, great value! left very, very pleased
