We often stay at Holiday Inn Express and are never disappointed. I was surprised by the number of resort like offerings the hotel included. I had no idea that there was an indoor water park or that activities such making your own lip balm would be offered. We were concerned about staying over Christmas due to the fires and the hotel management offered us the option to cancel; however, we decided to make the trip. I was so happy to see the town full and bustling over Christmas. The staff was wonderful even though I felt bad they were having to work Christmas.

"Great Place"
The hotel is walking distance from the strip. There are all kinds of restaurants and things to do. Be sure to bring swim trunks because of the small water park in the hotel. Breakfast was great, you have a choice of different meats. I will stay here again.
"Great Stay at the HIE!"
This is a great hotel, very close to EVERTHING in downtown Gatlinburg. I along with 46 of my friends just spent three nights at this location. We had several rooms reserved. Check in/out was a breeze. We were attending a conference at the convention center (next door). We walked everywhere because the hotel is near to many restaurants, and it's also close to the tram that takes you to Ober Gatlinburg. The rooms are spacious and clean, the beds were very comfy. Mini frig and microwaves in all the rooms. The indoor heated water feature was a huge hit with our group. This hotel also offers a free hot buffet breakfast. Also, if you have a large group like I did, the common space, and lobby are very large rooms and there is plenty of room for everyone. Thank you, HIE for a great stay.
"Very nice HIExpress"
My wife and I stayed here January 12-14-2017. Everything is very nice and clean. The water park looks like fun but we didn't try it... The staff is very friendly and helpful.. It is an easy 10 minute stroll to the strip at redlight #8.

"Great stay."
We stayed one of the first few weeks this hotel was opened in October 2016 with my points. This was a wonderful stay. The room was very elegant, and being brand-new made it the ideal place to stay. The service was wonderful. The people that worked Holiday Inn Express went other way to make everything outstanding for us. I highly recommend anybody wanting to stay close to the strip in Gatlinburg, this is the hotel to stay.
"Great Indoor Water Park and Pool!"
What a great hotel this one is. This seems to be a brand new hotel. Rooms are big and clean. Kids will love the indoor Water park with 3 slides and pool with heated water. Gatlinburg have a lot of attractions to see, but it was to get the kids to want leave that pool lol. The Hotel we were going originally was closed due to the wildfires and I considered other places to visit before seeing some pictures of this hotel online. I'm glad I did not went to a different place. When we arrived the front desk was very nice and pleasant. They gave us a letter from the managers with their personal welcomes and for our surprise their personal phone numbers saying that if we need anything or have any questions to call them directly. Hotel is walking distance from downtown and all the attractions. I have a 4 year old and a 9 year old making it easy for us to get where we need without them getting tired. I definitely recommend this hotel. Price, Staff, Rooms, location all great.
"Nice, new hotel"
We booked this hotel after our normal place(Park Vista) was not available for our stay. New hotel, clean and shiny. The main reason we chose this hotel was the indoor heated water park. Good idea having extended hours for the pool area, a great way to unwind after a day out and about. Good selection for breakfast, but be early to find a seat, or plan on taking it back to your room. Two block walk to the strip or the trolley stops in front if you are standing out at the road. Would visit this hotel again
"Great trip"
Had a great trip it was a very clean hotel room beds are alittle to firm. They had a football party in the lobby but didn't find out intill after that everyone from the hotel could go I wish someone would have told us. The inside could have been more decorated for Christmas. The waterpark was awesome my kids had a blast definitely will go back just for the waterpark. Great location not a far walk from the main strip and parking was easy.

This was our first time staying at the HIE in Gatlinburg and we were very impressed with the property. The location and accommodations surpassed our expectations and we'll be back soon!! Awesome trip!
"Weekend Trip during Fall Season"
Any time we travel, we always look for Holiday Inn Express hotels. They are reliable most of the time. This was a beautiful place to stay with all you would expect from a Holiday Inn Express. It is close to the main strip so you don't have to drive and pay to park for anything. The rooms are new and very clean. Would stay here again on next visit!
"Great location and great staff!"
This is a great location if you're spending a long weekend in Gatlinburg. We usually stay at a hotel a bit further out of town, but the Holiday Inn Express is in a perfect location. It's within walking distance of downtown, which is nice because parking is limited downtown and you will pay from $5 to $8 once you do find a parking space. The front desk staff and those who set up the breakfast are very friendly and helpful. And, if you have kids, they have a really cute indoor pool and water play area that includes slides and fountains, etc. Looks like a lot of fun!!!
"This place is what memories are made of."
Just a short walk from the main street area down hill, this elevated position provides great views on the north side of the building, down onto the town below and hills beyond. Our room was a lot larger than normal but still with all the comfort you expect. It also has a great indoor pool with lots of water flumes etc providing fun for both the children and adults to get wet in. Nice welcome card from the manager and extended breakfast of a weekend.

Great accommodations. Room was clean, up to date! Nice quality towels. Pool was phenomenal! Service great! Comfortable bed! Great placeto stay! Not even a far walk from attractions or to a great place for breakfast!

Stayed here for just one night whilst driving through the Smoky Mountains. A very short walk down the road to all Gatlinburg has to offer, so location is ideal. A very clean and comfortable room, great breakfast in the morning and very welcoming staff.

This hotel was very nice and comfortable. Gatlinburg is insanely crowded during the fall but this hotel is located just off the busy strip which is so refreshing. It is located right next to St. Mary Catholic Church which was also a big bonus for me. It had a very nice, large area for breakfast along with a nice variety of breakfast items. The rooms are spacious, new, clean and easy to control the temperature.
