This is the best Holiday Inn we've ever stayed in and love the expansive resort pool area -- could just vacation here and not even bother with Disney! Room was very nice and very clean and staff was very pleasant. Shuttle service was a huge plus. Applebee's on site which is convenient and inexpensive. Easy walking distance to other restaurants such as Bahama Breeze , Landry's Seafood, steakhouse and other fast food restaurants. Highly recommend.

"Good stay"
Felt very welcome on arrival. Great service. +Good deal with Kids below 12 eats free at Applebees next door if with parents n +Good location for parks and shopping. +Good sized rooms, nice and comfortable -Split unit AC was noisy
"Nice!"
Decent location just south of I-4. I wouldn't stay here if I was going to the Disney parks for a whole week (just slightly too far) but would stay here if I needed a stopgap or planned visits to other Orlando attractions and needed easy access to I-4. Very clean and HUGE room - comfortable beds and all the amenities you could want save for a toaster. Front desk staff very nice - checkin was a breeze. Elevators in Building E were sloooooooow. 2-3+ minutes from pushing the button to get there. The elevators were filled to the gills each time, too. Pool looked good but didn't use it - a bit smaller than the pictures would have you believe but I never saw it packed to the point that it would bother me. Last but not least is the unnecessary resort fee - hate 'em! Also, this is a pet friendly resort and we had a yapper next to us (though you could only hear it OUTSIDE the room).
"Clean, Nice Applebee's, Close to Disney and Interstate"
We were on the 3rd floor, which had laundry facilities down the hall so it smelled wonderful (fresh linen). The pool was nice and the play areas around it were very clean. The Applebees connected to the hotel was the nicest one I've ever been to. This is where they host the breakfast as well, which was included with our stay (we booked directly with the the hotel). They have a great little shop there too for anything you may need or have forgotten, medicines, paper plates, deodorant, etc... I was very impressed since I'm sure this hotel gets tons of traffic - It was definitely worth the price (which was very reasonable). Highly recommend!
"Disney/Universal Studios Stay"
I booked this property at the last minute for a last minute vacation. When I pulled up I was not expecting how GREAT this resort actually is. We weren't at the hotel long, only to sleep and shower due to visiting Disney and Universal Studios, but it is such a beautiful property. It is in a great location to both parks. Just a few miles away from each so that way you are away from the crowds and are able to enjoy decent priced restaurants as well. You walk in to the property and they have a movie theater for the kids. The front desk staff were very friendly at both check in and check out. Also the room was very spacious, comfortable, and CLEAN! I will definitely be back to stay again. Kudos to you all for making this property amazing. Keep up the good work.
"Nice place to stay for Disney World"
We really enjoyed our stay. Honestly, we were not at that hotel often, but it was clean and the bed was really comfortable and the price was great. We would have liked more shuttle options to and from the parks (the shuttles only traveled to and from the TTC at Magic Kingdom and just at a few different times) but we knew that was the tradeoff for staying of property.
"Clean & Comfortable"
Our first stay at Holiday Inn Resort Lake Buena Vista, we'll be back! Spotless room and comfortable bed. Easy check in. Nice poolside bar and huge pool with activities for the kids. Great location with plenty of restaurants and shopping. One problem with the TV was immediately addressed and resolved. Management followed up with a call the next day to make sure we were taken care of to our satisfaction. Disney Parks are a short drive and the Hotel has buses to take you there.
"Fantastic property"
This is the nicest Holiday Inn property I've stayed in. Recently renovated rooms with a beautiful teal design. Had a king room on the 4th floor with a balcony. We could see some of the Magic Kingdom fireworks from our balcony. The pool & hot tubs were very nice. Fun games around pool, including pool tables. It was very convenient to have an Applebee's on property. Walking distance to Landry's & a nice steakhouse.
"Fantastic staff and location"
I would recommend this hotel to any friends/family in the Orlando area! Veronika and Tyler at the front desk were so warm and welcoming, they really made me feel like I was at home! They also recommended a great sushi place, Mi Sushi! The hotel itself was clean and quiet, and I appreciated being acknowledged as a rewards member; they have a great express check out, and put a newspaper in front of my door in the morning!
"What a Wonderful Family Friendly Hotel"
What a lovely above and beyond hotel that went out of their way to make sure we had a great time. The hotel was immaculate, the kidsuite was super and accommodated me and my 5 kids perfectly. We were there for 4 nights and 5 days and ...the staff was awesome...including Dan from entertainment and we can't wait to go back. The front desk was super, and everyone in the hotel had a SMILE. I managed to work from their private business office with free WiFi and the location was perfect. Thanks again!!.
"Third stay is just as good as the first"
This was our third trip back to Florida 2011, 2013 and 2015 (its a long way from Australia) . This hotel is every bit as good as the first time we stayed, it is clean, comfortable in a excellent location priced reasonably and the staff are very helpful, in fact I would like to thank a lady by the name of Doris who changed our room to one with a better view. We will be back.
"Very Happy"
We stayed here in April of 2014 because my daughter's dance group was dancing in Downtown Disney. We had a kids suite and we were very satisfied with everything.The bathroom is spacious, nice large closet with a safe, the beds are very comfortable. The only thing that wasn't accomodating was the table in the room. It is a family suite that can fit 5 but the table to eat at only seats 2. The pool area was very nice, and we loved having a convenience store right downstairs. The only thing we didn't like is there was some kind of band competition and a high school band was staying there and some of the kids were very rude and disrespectful. There are no pool attendants and the chaperones weren't really chaperoning. They were actually messing around jumping in the pool and chasing each other around when a girl slipped and split her chin open bad enough that they were taking her to the hospital. Other than that we loved the place and are planning a trip in April 2016 and most definitely will stay here again.
"Great location, Great Hotel !"
Great hotel, great location. We were a family of 4 from the UK. We used the shuttle a few times and had a hired car, which worked well for us as we didn't’t like been tied to the shuttle times (they do leave to the minute as we learned the hard way!). But the shuttles were great the times we used them, very friendly. You have everything you need around you here, lots of restaurant choice many within walking distance or within 5 min drive. Our favorites were Bahamas Breeze, Fudduckers and Flippers Pizzeria (who will deliver to the hotel if your really worn out after your day in the parks!). You have a Walgreens across the road and Goodings which is a little bigger about 5mins away. We had a family suite on the top floor overlooking the pool and could see the balloon at Disney Springs plus the fireworks at Hollywood studios, which was lovely. It was a great size room and great to have the separate kids area. But really would have liked a balcony as you couldn't’t even open the window so you were craving fresh air a little, plus it was difficult to dry swim wear. We were next to the laundry which was handy to do a big wash as we were staying 14 nights. I think our room was in a great location as we had no problem with noise. We were right at the end of the corridor. To be honest we didn't’ spend a lot of time in the hotel other than to sleep and then we were out on another adventure, but for this it was perfect. Everything on your doorstep, fridge, coffee machine microwave in the room. The reception staff and concierge were very helpful. My husband had emailed ahead to say it was a special occasion and sent a message via out agent and got no response from them and it was’t acknowledged, which was a bit of a shame. But one of his request was a room with a view of the fireworks which we got. Not sure if this was by accident or they actually did this as they never mentioned anything on check in or during our stay. He was just a bit put out they never responded. But to be honest they were great while we were there, helpful and friendly. We would stay again but maybe book direct via IHG Club as they missed that we were members too.
"Perfect"
Our recent stay at this hotel was just perfect. The hotel grounds are very clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful. The oversized king room was very spacious and comfortable. We loved the Applebee's being available to order from at the pool. Very convenient.
"Nice"
This is a great IHG hotel. It is very clean and comfortable. Close to Disney. The room has a pull out couch but the TV is so small and placed so high on the stand it makes it very uncomfortable for viewing. Room is spacious and great views. Everyone is friendly and accommodating.
"Worth the stay"
Had an awesome stay here. Check-in was a breeze. Everything was explained as for parking fees to WI-FI access. Room 450 was clean and updated. Everything well organized. I was told about the pool view from our room but due to the palm trees, I had no view at all. No issues there as this may have been for most guests staying on the 4th floor. The pool area was nice. Plenty of chairs and tables with umbrellas. Coolers were allowed at the pool area which was great. Apple Bee's pool side bar was also convenient. I did see only one ice machine on the ground floor by the elevators. It did perform it's duty without a cough. I will definitely stay here again.
"Great value and location for Disney"
Good value hotel, not sure it should be called a resort though. Also not that near to the lake either! Not that it matters. Rooms are a good size with bunk beds so my girls didn't have to sleep in the same bed and argue all night!! We originally had a room overlooking the car park but they were happy to move us when I asked. Breakfast was a little disappointing in a very dark restaurant! Sat outside every morning so we could feel and see daylight! We had a hire car so drove to Disney every day but they do have shuttles but there was only one that went to Sea World at 8am, so check times. Great seafood restaurant next door.
"Good Alround location"
Really enjoyed our stay at holiday inn lake buena visa. All of the staff were really helpful and friendly. Rooms were nice and very clear. Only thing missing was a balcony. We did not realise that some of the rooms did not have a balcony when we booked. Pool was great and daughter loved the fact that it was open till 11 o'clock. Shuttle bus was good and drivers very helpful. Ate at Appleby on quite a few occasions and found the food, drink and staff all good. There were also loads of places to eat within walking range. Also within walking distance of a large retail outlet. Alround good location. I would recommend as a very good family hotel.
"WE'VE BEEN STAYING HERE FOR 17 YEARS"
The Holiday Inn Lake Buena Vista Is Where We Have Stayed Since Our Children Were Small. The Main reason is the games that they have at the pool, dive-in movies, Inside theater and arcade.....They also love to have lunch at Applebees Tiki Bar located in the pool area. Dan does all of the games for the kids at the pool and he is amazing and extremely fun and kind. He remembers my kids names from year to year and it makes my kids feel incredibly special every time we go back...We highly recommend this hotel.

This review is about Teresa our housekeeper and Laketha at the Front Desk. They are AWESOME! When I arrived at the hotel I thought I will receive a better room (I'm part of IHG rewards club) but actually, the service is over for me. Thank you Laketha and Teresa for make my stay better!
"Perfect"
Perfect Location with nice, clean and well maintain Resort. Briscialla was very helpful at the time of check in. Pool was big with live music at evening. Housekeeper also did good Job. We will comeback. Thank you.
