This is my home in Charleston. I have walked to baseball games, been shuttled to downtown, have jogged on the nearby greenway trail. I prefer the restaurants in Avondale ( I will walk if weather is good--slightly over a mile) but the Harbourview restaurant and bar for the best in meals and drinks. My day starts there (I like their eggs benedict) and usually ends with a glass of merlot with Aaron or Janille, the bartenders. They along with amazingly efficient, knowledgable, and sweet Jo, they give great service and conversation. The front desk crew is very welcoming with smiles. Anna at the front desk always lifts you day when you walk in. The housekeeping staff are all smiles and do a great job cleaning. Ive never known a place that feels more like home. Thank you Holiday Inn Riverview!

We just finished a week vacation at the Grand Sirenis. We booked through BookVIP and I have to say that I'm extremely pleased with the entire trip, all the way from booking through the conclusion of the trip. We got a phenomenal deal and had an excellent trip!

"Repeat Pleasure trip to a great city with my husband"
This is an excellent hotel. Rates are phenomenal. Staff is great. Assistant manager Amanda Carter goes the extra mile to please and accommodate you. Desk clerks Chastity, Jamie, and Mary are SO pleasant. The views from the rooms are beautiful. Rooms are very clean. Also the view from the 14th floor restaurant is astonishing. It is also a cocktail lounge. Bartender Aaron is a wonderful bartender and so pleasant. Jo the waitress is beyond great. ! Food is reasonable and. very good. There is a free shuttle downtown ( I know you will want to tip ) The drivers. John. Rodney. and Carey could not be any nicer or more accommodating. They also give informational tours on the ride which are as good as the paid tours

"Anniversary trip to Charleston"
For our 47th wedding anniversary we decided to go to Charleston and visit the Angel Oak tree and Ft Sumter. This Holiday Inn was perfectly located on 17 across the river from Charleston. They have a shuttle that takes you over to the city so you can avoid the narrow streets and traffic. The view from our room was beautiful and the room was wonderful. The staff is friendly and helpful. Loved it.

perfect location to hit the beach and also downtown. short drive to earthfare, yoga, Osaka on James Island and a quick trip across the bridge to Chucktown! Water views all around and the bar on the roof gives you a 360 view, Very cool place with friendly employees. two thumbs up.
"Enjoyable Stay"
Location is good, view is lovely, beds are comfortable. The shuttle driver, Rodney, takes this hotel from a 4 to 5. Make sure you take the shuttle sometime while you are there just so you can have a chance to talk with him. He is wonderful.

Redeemed points for 2 rooms for a oyster roast .Stayed the night.Had breakfast next day. Had adjoining rooms. Stayed many times here before. Always a room.Breakfast could have been warmer.Was a little cool but still good.

Me and my family had a very nice vacation at holiday inn Anna make a lot for us she helped us to book a nice room and she took to us about many places at Charleston to visit She was very nice so friendly she made our vacation better We really like her and we like to see her again next summer
"Wonderful stay"
I have visited Charleston many times and this was the first time at this location- I have to say the staff was awesome. Great room and overlooked the river- wonderful breakfast and service - the shuttle service was awesome to have to go downtown and do shopping. I highly recommend this hotel if you are in the area - the views from the top floor at breakfast were wonderful.
"Overall Impressed"
My boyfriend and I were staying at this hotel for a wedding, I read some reviews before we got here and I was worried. I booked us a King bedroom and I heard that some people were not able to get their room even though they had booked it before hand. However, I was very happy to find that we got into our room with ease. We were even able to check in early. The hotel is nice and the staff was friendly. The room was clean and spacious, the only downside was that the balcony was locked. It would've been nice to allow some fresh air in. Over all the hotel is nice, and the view is amazing. Never went to the restaurant but heard good things about it.
"Fantastic Scenic View"
The room was clean, comfy, and pretty. There was a lovely view of Charleston from the window. We could see the City skyline, a marina, and the Ashley River from our window. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The location to Charleston attractions is very convenient.

Easy to navigate to and from downtown Charleston from this property. Great breakfast buffet that kick starts your day! Very accommodating staff. Comfortable suites with affordable rates and plenty of parking.
"Amazing views!"
This is a nice hotel and the views from the restaurant are amazing! It's not a brand new hotel, but it's kept up very nicely. It's in a great location just a tad out of downtown, which was great for us cause I hate downtown! It does offer a shuttle to downtown.
"Over night stay"
I recently stayed overnights the hotel was very clean a nonsmoking facility. All rooms have a view of the city. Prices are good front office staff very friendly. Coffee in room both cafe and decaf. Bathroom very clean great water pressure free wi- fi and quiet
"Lunch"
We were told to come for the breakfast buffet today on Sunday by David, the owner of How Art Thou Cafe on Maybank Hwy. unfortunately we got there too late for it and stayed for lunch, it was wonderful, hot and very tasty and the wait staff and the exceptional view is awesome. And sad that it took me 10 years to just find out about this restaurant. What a gem. We will be back and We intend to bring our friends upstairs for cocktails in the evening for the beautiful view, in the lovely bar area. Looking forward to bringing friends next Sunday 'on time' for the breakfast buffet. Thank you for a great experience.
"Medical"
My first time here. My room was clean. Keurigs in the rooms. Check in was easy. All staff that I've encountered have been nothing but helpful. Coffee in lobby in the mornings, lemonade in the afternoons. Though I did not try it during my stay, there is a restaurant on the very top floor. That's very convenient when you don't feel like going out. I came back today from doing my touristy thing, and they had left me 2 chocolates and bottled water. I will definitely stay here on my next trip to Charleston!! For me, you couldn't ask for a better staff.

The Hungry Detective had the pleasure of staying in this five-star gem. What a great property and staff. This place is clean and the beds and pillows are wonderful. There is an awesome restaurant on the top level with amazing 360 degrees of Charleston and the water. Super clean outdoor swimming pool overlooking the river. This property is close to everything and a great place to stay. VERDICT: The staff and Manager: Amanda Carter will go above and beyond the call of duty for you...trust this retired vice cop...this is the real deal and the only thing they're guilty of is superior hospitality. This should be your first choice when staying in Charleston...period.
"Tour group"
Well we arrived at this hotel for a two night stay and from the outside we thought what a dive. But when we went inside it is quite different. The entrance is small. The building is round. The resturant is on the 15th floor with fantastic views of the city. The swimming pool and fitness centre on 3rd floor look well equipped pool was closed as they were sorting out the chlorine levels. Quite disappointing. Our room had 2 queen size beds tv coffee machine. Toiletries and plenty of towels. The room is spacious although the furniture is very dated. The staff in the resturant were lovely and very helpful food was good and nice size portion there seems to be plenty of seating. There is a shuttle bus that takes you into town.
"Restaurant and Bar best view in Charleston"
This restaurant at the top of the Holiday Inn is the best kept secret in our city, we have enjoyed the bar for years for the view and great service, Last week I took a group of 12 there for dinner on a Tuesday. We had excellent service, the burgers we large and excellent too, All the food came out hot and together. I do not understand why more locals do not come here, it is not just for Hotel guests. The view of the city at sundown is fabulous and at night the city lights take on a special glow off the water. My favorite time is a rainy night looking over the Ashley River Bridges.
