We just finished a week vacation at the Grand Sirenis. We booked through BookVIP and I have to say that I'm extremely pleased with the entire trip, all the way from booking through the conclusion of the trip. We got a phenomenal deal and had an excellent trip!

What Our Customers Are Saying

Written Review

"Dive trip"
Very nice, clean and comfortable..Dive paradise is good too..I see people whine about losing a towel and have to pay for it..If you use it don't lose it..They tell you up front..Great staff and good food..I really enjoyed it and will go back for sure..
"Beautiful Coral Reef"
The coral reef is one of the best on the island's shoreline. We saw squid and octopuses along with parrot fish, queen angels, damsel fish and much other ocean life. The hotel staff are very friendly and attentive. The outdoor restaurant has a beautiful ocean view and the breakfasts are great. Berta, the omelet chef has been there for many years as has Daniel the bartender and waiter, Cornelio, amongst others. It has a homey feel that some of the modern high rise hotels on Cozumel lack.
"Nice dive hotel"
Big pool, food is decent and there is plenty of it. Dive shop is on site so that's convenient. Dive paradise. Rooms are adequate. Staff is friendly. Murals were being painted while we were there. Ask for guacamole the snack bar by the pool! They make it right there and it's excellent.
"Awesome week"
This was my second year at Hotel Cozumel it was all inclusive stay food was great. couldn't ask for a better staff and they take pride in their services. The resort is well maintained. See y'all next year.
"Great bang for the buck for divers and families"
We've been staying here since it was Fiesta Inn. It was given a big makeover when it became an all-inclusive, and they did a nice job. Huge pool, plenty of chairs, couple restaurants and bars, daily entertainment, dive operation on site. We did not get the entire meal package, but only did the inclusive breakfasts - there are too many great places to eat downtown, and the inclusive isn't worth the money unless you always eat there and do a lot of drinking. A la carte at the pool snack bar gets you great snacks for $6 (quesadillas, hamburgers, etc.). I had a very nice massage for $75. The rooms are a nice size, and clean. Good air conditioning although no coffee pot, but there is free coffee in the lobby in the morning and big water bottles in the hallways. One couple in our party had to be moved because their room door repeatedly locked them out and the air conditioner leaked puddles, but most everyone had no complaints. Be forewarned that the front desk makes restaurant reservations based on agreements with downtown restaurants, so we ended up at an overpriced place that did not match what we requested from the hotel staff. Also, be forewarned about the tour guide table in the lobby - several of our group were given incorrect information. We were told that one waterpark was free but ended up costing $18 on arrival - turns out its only free on Sundays. Another of our group was told about Tortuga Beach being very accessible for snorkeling for turtles but it turned out not to be, and they were suckered into a snorkeling booze cruise to actually see the wildlife. Many of these activities have been optimized for cruise ship tourists so they have high prices and cruise ship atmospheres. Overall, this place is a great bang for the buck. If you are coming here to dive-dive-dive, check this place out. Families with kids will appreciate the big pool and buffets and entertainment. Show less
"Diving from Hotel Cozumel and Resort"
Two weeks ago we returned from a diving trip with Underwater Connection located in Colorado Springs. We found this hotel to meet all our needs and expectations and the infrastructure was made for convenient diving both off shore and boat dives. We had lockers near the wharf and also rinsing facilities. The room we had enjoyed a view of the ocean and included a small veranda to watch the activities. The breakfast buffet had a multitude of foods and fresh fruits with good coffee to start the day. All the staff were friendly and accommodating and made us feel welcome. We'll return for another dive trip in the future.
"Scuba Drift Diving"
Dive Paradise provided a week of fantastic drift diving. Hotel provided good accommodations, tasty food and made our group feel welcome. We were 14 guests, 12 people diving. It was a short walk to downtown Cozumel. It was worth the money spent. Rooms were comfortable, nothing fancy but on a tropical vacation all you do is sleep in your room. I will return one day to Cozumel and would definitely consider staying here again.
"Fun in the Sun"
I went with a dive group with 27 people. Amazing week. The Hotel has the largest pool in the area. The rooms were large and definitely made for swimmers and divers and snorkeling. The food was all included and was great. Several snack areas. The dive shop was attached thru a tunnel to a beautiful beach and locker areas. So many activities in, on, and out of the water. The staff was very accommodating and went out of their to be friendly and helpful. Wonderful time.
"Truly A Great Hotel For The Value!"
I really studied so many hotels in Cozumel, and this one really fit our budget and needs. Centrally located and close to the city centre. You can even have a nice walk down there to save on a taxi or to deal with finding parking. We got the European package, which is breakfast only. If you plan on leaving the hotel most of the day, you really don't need the all inclusive. You want to venture off and try the local cuisine. I HIGHLY recommend not staying on the ground floor. There is no screen on the sliding doors, so we didn't feel safe leaving them open at night. We woke up every night because of the lack of fresh air. The rooms were fine, and the staff very friendly. Beautiful grounds, and ironically, the best snorkeling we experience was in the cove that is right off their beach. We saw more variety of sea life there than all the other areas we snorkeled in. The breakfast was fine. Something for everyone. Omelet station and fresh fruit. We made some cheese sandwiches, grabbed some pastries, and bananas, which really came in handy. SUPER, FUN TIP: There are large pictures of sea life located in the underground walkway that leads to cove/diving center. We took pictures with our snorkeling masks on in front of them, and they turned out amazing! Hilarious, and even fooled a few of our relatives! All in all, don't expect fancy shmancy, but with the great staff, location, snorkeling, and lovely grounds, you won't be disappointed. We will be back!
"Good four starts"
I just been there last weekend and this is a resort with the most of the five starts, but kind of oldie, that's why maybe they promote their hotel as a four, very nice pool, excellent restaurant flavor and the best is the wedding gazebo In front of the sea, and doesn't matter you are not going to get married.... the picture is priceless
"Nice resort and nice price."
My friend and I were greeted with a refreshing drink as we checked-in, which was needed. The room is a standard hotel room- we had to switch rooms due to our air conditioner not working; they tried to fix it first, but then offered us a new room right down the hall- we had no problems in the new room. The balcony has pegs and bars to drape your wet things over, which is a nice touch. The pool and jacuzzi were nice, but I'm not sure how a person with physical disabilities could use them; the pool has steps going into it and the jacuzzi has no handrail. The dining room waitstaff were very friendly and helpful. The food leaves something to be desired though; not a lot of variety and not very good; if you want really good food, you'll need to leave the resort. The beach area is across the street, but there is a tunnel that does have steps; the beach area is very relaxing, but again, not sure how a person with physical disabilities would be able to use it. I was a little disappointed with some of the staff who made derogatory comments about me and my friend, they assumed I didn't speak Spanish; but this was only 2-3 individuals, on the whole, the staff were very friendly. I would probably use this resort again due to the pricing and also due to the area that it's in- away from the tourists. While there, we met people who have been coming to this resort for many years, most of them divers- it's apparently a great resort for divers. The resort does have activities throughout the day and it seems like a great place for families- daycare is offered.
"Nice place to stay"
This was our 3rd stay at Hotel Cozumel - we go for the dive package and do the all inclusive program. The rooms are nice - the grounds are beautiful and well cared for. The food is fine - buffet style plus fresh cooked food stations. Service staff were very attentive and professional. Short walk to mid-town.
"Very nice and by the sea"
This was our first out of the country trip. We got the all inclusive package and that's the way to go. The hotel was nice and had a great staff. Food and drinks anytime nice. We did lots of things around town and this hotel is not to far away. Will go back.
"super location, great facilities"
wonderful hotel with great beach space and easy snorkeling, the snorkeling here is absolutely great. The service at the beach area is THE BEST- Daniel in the restaurant and Reyes on the beach are the best servers you will every get. They go out of their way to make your stay perfect. The hotel has a nice schedule of activities during the day. We always do the European plan so we can eat in town at the great restaurants but lots of people use the all-inclusive option and seem to love it.
"Great dive vacation"
We visited this hotel and chose the all inclusive package. We received a great deal for the price! The room was very basic (no in-room fridge) but the rest of the facilities made up for it. The pool is great with plenty of options for shade or sun. The hammocks under the palms on the beach side made for a great place for an afternoon siesta. It has a sand "beach" but access to the water is via ladder. There is a dive shop on the premises but other dive shops also pick up at this location. The dives were amazing!!!!! The food is very good and the waiters are nice and attentive. The liquor is weak but as much as you want. Special cudos to Antonio in the restaurant and Henri at the pool. Great sun, fun and a quick walk to downtown for shopping! I would definitely go again.
"Cozumel, love this place."
went with a group from Colorado (Dive and Travel) we had a blast. Food was great, diving awesome, and we did a day trip to snorkel with Whale Sharks mid week out of Cancun. an amazing experience. and yes, the hotel was nice too. good decks off every room overlooking the pool. (largest on the island) close to downtown, and the diving in Cozumel is the best in the carribbean overall imho. Check it out.
"Heartfelt-welcome year after year!"
We have stayed here for 7 yrs in a row. We get to see the same wait-staff that love their jobs & US as visitors. They even remember our names! In my opinion I think this is the best place to stay due to ALL it has to offer. The Old-style ambiance of the buildings and the landscaping. The great nightly dancing entertainment is extremely impressive! They are so talented. We play pool volleyball at 4 each night and it allows us to get to meet the other visitors. My husband gets to just walk RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET to the BEACH and to the dive boat when his time comes. No waiting. Then we only have a 10 minute walk to town when we are ready to go. The food has really been improved the last couple of years and the extensions on the buildings were a smart remodel. We LOVE HOTEL COZUMEL. They are the best for so many reasons!!
"Quite impressed"
We stayed here for a week all inclusive. We paid a super low price and couldn't say no. We arrived expecting the resort to be very basic, due to the price. The resort is quite close to the airport. Maybe 10 minutes on a busy day. It is walking distance to the ferry terminal. Location was ideal. We never got a taxi once. Easy walking distance to town! This was very nice. Check in is fast. We were given 2 towel cards and a key for our safe. Our room was what we had requested. A king bed not on the main floor. All the rooms pretty much over look the pool. The rooms are not at all sound proof. It felt there there was no glass on our balcony door! You could here conversations by the pool, music clearly... but that was fine with us. We went to bed when no one was around the pool, and the noise in the morning was like an alarm to get up and enjoy the outdoors! The room was basic, which we expected from other reviews we read. The only upgrade was a flat screen tv with hbo And other english movie channels. The bathtub was very high off the ground. You had to be very carefully getting in and out. The bed had only a bed sheet. We found a light blanket in the closet luckily. Our air conditioner was crazy! I have never had a room get that cold! Our first few nights we froze. Even after shutting off the airconditioner it took a while for the room to warm up. We figured out to let the air conditioner run for only a few hours and then shut it off about an hour before we were going to bed. The room was super clean, maids did a great job. Left flowers in our room each day. It was a nice touch! People slamming there room doors was annoying too. There were a few times we thought there was an explosion it was so loud! All the staff at the resort were very kind and helpful. Service at the buffets were excellent. Tip or no tip we got the same great service. Food we were worried about. It was quite good! The omelette's in the morning were amazing. It is best to be at the breakfast buffet earlier as the hashbrowns become cool near the end. The orange juice was great. Dinner buffet we were also very happy with. It is not a huge buffet, but there was always something different to eat, and we always left overly full! The food here we liked much more than other more expensive resorts we have stayed at on the island. Drinks were also very good. You will never get a weak drink! You have to ask for less alcohol! The tunnel going to the beach was nice, and quick to get to. The beach was very nice. Yes it is an ironshore, but there is a nice little cove where you can climb down a ladder and stand waist deep on a sandy bottom. There is no sandy walk in areas. Snorkelling was fantastic if you snorkel the wall south to the car ferry pier. There are no boats along there and quite safe. The best off shore snorkelling we have been to so far. We spent everyday on the beach snorkelling and tanning, and having some drinks. I saw someone else had the same complaint on another review. The cooking classes they have above the beach bar is very very annoying. We don't care if they walk around, swim, and so on. But having to listen EVERYDAY (except Sunday) how to make salsa, margaritas etc is not so relaxing. They have their microphones so loud that we couldn't have a conversation with other vacationers on the beach. I really wish they could turn down the speakers, or put windows up there so we don't have to listen to that! We are on holidays and want to relax on the beach! Other than that, the waiter on the beach was great, as well as Daniel and the other Daniel at the lobby bar and snack bar! The pool area was gorgeous. We never sat there much, but is was beautiful! Check out was fast. We met so so many lovely people from all over Canada, the United States, even Israel. We would definitely stay here again. For the price, you really can't go wrong!!
"Another Fantastic Stay!"
I have been to other hotels on the island before and for the past seven years we have stayed here. In my opinion it is bar far the best overall for price, quality, and location. The staff has always been great and the service even better. This year I have seen some major updates being made and all I can say is "Well Done& Keep It Up" We look forward to coming back early next spring.
"Great Stay In Cozumel"
This was a great place to stay in Cozumel, very close to downtown and GREAT staff. Had the time of my life here, I would suggest this resort to anyone looking to have a good time in Cozumel. The resort has an island feel, open air and very beachy, although there is no sand beach(there is a entrance right into the coral reef which I found to be very interesting.). All sand beaches on Cozumel are one side of the island, most can be visited by day via taxi/scooter. It is a casual resort for sure and it is frequented by scuba divers as the hotel owns a renown scuba facility. Met some great people while I was here, Reyes, Eduardo, and Sergio are awesome people. Cozumel, in my opinion is the best place I have visited in Mexico. I would return to this resort and location again just to see my friends that I made during my stay. They made everything much more of an amazing experience, can't thank them enough (Reyes, Eduardo, Sergio)!
"Our Very Favorite"
My husband and I have been vacationing on Cozumel Island since the time you had to take a boat from the mainland to get to the island. We have stayed at many places on the island over those many years. Our favorite is Hotel Cozumel and Resort. Why? Because the people there CARE about you and want you to have a good time and a good stay. We don't do the all-inclusive because we like to walk in to town every evening and have dinner at one of the many good restaurants we have learned to lovoe over the years. But we always have our breakfast at the hotel. This was my experience this year with the cook who has cooked eggs at the hotel for many years. First motning breakfast as I'm going through the line to the egg preparation spot. I get there and the wonderful cook, who has been there for years, takes one look at me, squints her eyes a bit, and says, "Ah yes, two eggs, over easy, centers soft, yes?" I swear, that's exactly what she said. The employees are kind and helpful. The pool is lovely, but we usually stroll through the tunnel over to the beach and spend our time lazing in the sun, reading, watching the dive and fishing boats head out and return and simply chill out every single day. Dive shop right there if you want to dive and if you wat to go fishing, that can certainly be arranged. IN other words, you don't have to do a darned thing you don't want to. The hotel and its excellent staff will take care of you to whatever degree you want. Try it ... believe me, you'll like/love it as my husband and I do.
