Hotel Le Reve

This place is quaint by the staff is amazing and the rooms are lovely. Great to be right on the beach too! The food and drinks were delicious as well. They took great care of us and we will be sure to return.

We arrived at Le Reve late in the evening after a long day of airline delays. But, arrival and check-in and our beachfront room was worth the effort. The room was somewhat basic in decor, but comfortable, quiet and roomy. The king bed did not over power the room and was comfy. Sliding doors opened up to the plunge pool and view of the beach and Gulf of Mexico just steps away. The all inclusive food option is definitely worth it. Excellent choices, tasty and fresh. The service was excellent and responsive to each request. One note, when booking the beachfront villas, there are two choices, ground level and second floor. Ground level has the plunge pool and second floor has the hot tub. You must ask which one is available if it matters. Would definitely recommend Le Reve!

We loved our garden suite with hammock off the patio!! We were just steps from the ocean! Awesome food you must try their shrimp cocktail so delicious!! The night dinner staff were very accommodating and gracious!! Thank you Le Reve for an amazing stay!!!

A very nice hotel, location was a $25 USD cab ride away from the centre of playa, but as a result very relaxing. We had 2 nights here with was perfect. Service was excellent and very personal. Food and drinks good, if you here for longer food may get a little uninspiring, but for a short stay very good. Cocktails are great!! Right on the beach, small hotel so very peaceful compared to the huge resorts alongside. Great pool. Room was lovely but basic. Overall a very nice stay, would recommend it.

If you like peace and quite this is the place to go. Wonderful staff, excellent food and perfect view, we truly enjoyed our selves. The chief out did himself, the dinners were surpurb in every way. The pool bar staff was helpful and funny at the same time, what a delight to get to know them.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful and extremely relaxing. When you walk down the stairs to the grounds you are faced with an infinity pool, comfortable lounge chairs and picture perfect views. The 2 bedroom suite we were in is very nicely decorated and laid out with plenty of space for everyone. The suite had with a fully equipped kitchen which would be perfect for family vacations. Although, there is only one restaurant the meals are served a la cart and cooked to perfection. There is also a grill at the poolside bar that we tried for lunch and were not disappointed. The service we received from the staff was unbelievable. They could not do enough to help make your stay perfect. Extra special thank-you to Carlos for our daughters Guacamole (he heard her speak about her love of it during lunch!) and Cosmo for helping us find this paradise!!

The Hotel was exactly what I expected, a quiet, beautifully maintained boutique hotel. The food, staff, accommodations, pool, lounge area, restaurant were all wonderful. I would definitely go back to this hotel.

I didn't think it would be possible to top the feeling I had when I arrived last year, but that is exactly what happened. There have been some wonderful improvements made here! The pool has been all redone, and although it was beautiful last year, this year the pool creates more of a calm welcoming feeling. It is central when you come down the stairs on the property, and makes you feel like you just want to jump in. The beach bar has been updated, and its snack menu expanded. The restaurant has a more intimate feel, and also an expanded menu. Nowhere have I found a more welcoming and caring staff. They make you feel like you're coming home. Everyone should try to make it a priority to get here once! With the all-inclusive plan, WiFi is included.

Spent Christmas here with our children (10&15). Wonderful place to unwind. So quiet we felt we had the place to ourselves! Staff superb and could not do enough for us. Christmas Eve dinner an adventure! Enjoyed a wonderful meal. Highly recommend and hope to return here

This is such a lovely place to stay! The rooms and beds are so comfortable. The location is truly paradise. The staff are excellent and helpful. And the restaurant is fabulous. I had a wonderful dinner there and the restaurant staff were so friendly. I highly recommend a stay here.

The Hotel staff was very friendly! They did everything possible to make our stay as comfortable as possible! This is tha place to go if you want rest and relaxation. The all inclusive a l a cart was very delicious. The pool bar was great. You didn't even have to get up to get your drinks refilled. They were on top of it .

Wow, what a great vacation! My wife and I stayed 5 days at Le Reve at the tail-end of a two week-long vacation in Playa del Carmen. Wanting to try out several places and compare their amenities, we stayed at two other resorts before ending our vacation there at Le Reve. Le Reve is a whole different experience from staying at the big all-inclusive resorts. It is much more suited for couples wanting to spend time with each other. There are some fantastic amenities found at Le Reve. Their beds were the softest and most comfortable that we have found in Mexico, and we have traveled in Mexico A LOT! The sheets and bedding were soft and luxurious, and the bed was soft and comfortable. So many times, my wife and I have woken up elsewhere and said that we like the resort/hotel except for the bed. At other resorts, sleeping-in is almost impossible, it is almost like you are forced to get up out of bed and get moving because the beds are so freaking hard. This was not the case at Le Reve. The bed that we had there at Le Reve was so comfortable, that it almost encourages you to sleep in and luxuriate in its comforting embrace. The staff at Le Reve is very, very attentive. They go out of their way to say "hi" and make their guests feel comfortable and wanted. Every dinner was served as a 4 or 5 course meal depending on whether we ordered an appetizer. We noticed that the ratio of wait staff was quite high when compared to the number of guests they were serving. This ratio has always been a big indicator for me as to the level of luxury found at a given destination. For example, waiter A would come through and take our order, then Waiter B would come and set the table to match what we ordered for an appetizer. Then Waiter B would be there clearing the plates a few minutes after we finished the appetizer. Then, a few mins later, Waiter A would come through and set the table to match whether we had ordered soup and/or salad with the meal. Then, Waiter C would bring in the next course. They all just kind of worked together in some kind of weird syncopated harmony. It was kind of fun to watch them work. The food was very high quality. It was so much fun trying all of the different things on their menu. Although we tried to be discreet, I'm sure that we were bugging people, because my wife and I kept taking photos of the food to send to our kids back home. We stayed at Le Reve in a ground floor private garden room Nov 14 - 21 2015. I can not say enough about how amazing our week there was. The room was simple yet lovely. Our little private patio and yard was perfect to sit out in the morning and the evening. On arrival check in was quick and after our bags were taken to our room we met the waiters in the Merlot Lounge. Carlos greeted me and asked my name, all week long every staff member called us by our first names. From our first meal to our final dinner the food was fresh, delicious and the presentation always fabulous. We choose the Le Reve as it is a small boutique hotel and we wanted to relax on the beach for the week. The atmosphere from the restaurant to the pool & the beach is total calm and relaxation. The service impeccable & we were never without a cold drink. The service and the hard working staff at Le Reve is the best!! The evenings are very quiet, I would have enjoyed music or drinks around the pool or beach bar service in the evenings. I have recommended Le Reve to all my friends & will most definitely be back this winter.

If you want to CHILL this is the place....wonderful staff, great food in the restaurant, and great rooms and small place vibe....the chairs under the palapas were extremely comfortable and you might now move from them all day!

We are here waiting to leave back to Vancouver, Canada. Here is an honest review of what to expect - The best parts: 1. The food (breakfast/lunch/dinner) 2. The service 3. The tranquility There is no buffet style here, although all you can eat if you buy the all-inclusive plan. Everything is cooked fresh as you order it, rather than sitting there buffet style. This is great for customising what you want to eat to your own preferences. Breakfast is anywhere from eggs Benedict to montelo eggs (Mexican dish) or French toast etc. Bailey's coffee is always a great way to start the day too. Lunch expect a choice of two menus - one inside the usual restaurant and another by the beach bar. The restaurant serves more dinner style plates, while the bar was our favourite. Everything from panini sandwiches, sushi, ceviche, salads or a burger with fries, the bar menu is great. Made right in front of your eyes to see. Dinner is impeccable. You won't find a better selection of available real food. After you order they will bring out a special tiny starter or warm bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. They have great starters like cream corn soup, octoupus capatcheo (spelling)?, new york steak, filet Mignon, sea baas, salmon, tuna, duck, pesto fusilli and other great dishes. Absolutely the best bang for your buck is dinner time. However, the only guaranteed sized steak is the new york, don't expect a huge hunk of filet Mignon. But hey, order two if you're keen then. They also have special dinners, like thanksgiving, oriental and mexican night - a welcome change after you've tried almost everything once. Although I'm 6'4", after some bread, a starter and a main dish, I'm usually crawling back to my room too full. We started only ordering a main dish after a while, or sharing one appy together. Service is the best. We always said to others the service and food were the best part of being here. Be sure to say hi to Nora, Ismel, Roberto, Carlos, Jesus and Edwin for us, they are awesome. The environment is quiet here. With only one small pool, and a handful of beach lawn chairs, this resort bodes well for those wanting some R and R. The seats are comfortable, not the blue stock option kind, but rather a large pillow style. Also visit the turtles, they pretty cute too.

when we arrived on our free shuttle we were greeted with a welcome refreshment, 1-class all the way. The service was great during our stay. We stayed in the top floor of a three story building, view was spectacle as it look over the gulf. the room had 2 queen size beds and what i liked best was the tall dressers, just the right height to stand and work on a computer without bending, small matter but i liked it. the location was out of the way, quite and relaxing. there was one restaurant on site which catered to the all-inclusive package, there was a pool side bar also any thing else you had to leave the resort what i liked beat about my stay was the quite relaxingness atmosphere. what i liked least was the cost to get any where, next time i will rent a car.

We take a dozen vacations a year......we're fortunate that we can work as long as we have an internet connection. So I've been all over the world -- popular tourist destinations and many, many undiscovered ones. We love adventure and are open to it. Hawaii, Paris, Rome, Rio.........they're terrific of course. But I would NEVER have considered that the best vacation destination of my life would be Playa Del Carmen, Mexico.......until we stumbled into Le Reve Hotel & Spa earlier this week. Small, sophisticated, stylish and completely SERVICE oriented. Food is incredible and only exceeded by its presentation. Difficult to put into words how impressive this place is.......which is a surprise because I'm a professional writer. I should be able to fully describe, but really, it's something a traveler must simply experience. Do something good for yourself on your next trip. Book a roundtrip to Cancun, Mexico and feel yourself transform under the spell of this lesser known hotel and spa. The result? You'll go back to real life feeling refreshed, relaxed, rejuvenated, restored. Do it......and You're Welcome!

We stayed here about a month ago with friends. I had read reviews both good and bad about the resort. I went in with an opened mind and wanted to see for myself. I found the staff at the resort to be very friendly and helpful . The room we stayed in was clean and newly remodeled. Yes there were a few issues but the were quickly resolved to my satisfaction. With the hotel just reopening after remodeling you expect a few glitches. The food and drinks were excellent as was the whole staff that took care of us that took care of us all day and night. I look forward to staying here again.

Everything about Le Reve is perfect, from all the waiters in the restaurant that spoiled us and made us feel like home to the attendants in the lobby. The food was delicious! Loved the rooms, always clean. I would definitely go back!

I was here with a friend in August. We stayed 5 nights. The room was clean and modern. Food and drinks were amazing. Would have liked more options for snacks and extended hours to be able to get drinks so we felt a little limited in that aspect. We had a deal from Living Social so we had a picnic on the beach which was a lot of fun. The staff was friendly. A lot of seaweed on the beach but we made it work. Cab ride to 5th Ave in Playa was easy to access. I would definitely come again.
