Booked this hotel for our girls vacation getaway. Pros: Thier valet service is superb!! Their lobby smells crazy delicious and it's very clean! (I'm definitely ordering some of their candles). Wonderful service from Chris G. when we had the breakfast buffet- he was very professional and attentive. The only Con: We had a corner room and we could hear all the street noise. Overall we had a wonderful experience!!!
"Awesome Event Experience"
What an outstanding experience for the company event. From the first call to the final thank you, Eva J exceeded all expectations. The food and beverage staff, Juan, Gloria, Marcus, and Michael provided exceptional service. When the event attendees arrived, Eva and Michael (Vbar), jumped to serve the unexpected request to provide beverages to our group all making it look as if they do this everyday. Arrivals and departures handled by Israel (Valet) and his staff were superior. Our group never knew if anything was out of place. The rooms were superb and Serena at the Front Desk had everyone in our group ready to check in. Not one person waited more than a few minutes to check in. Wow!!! If planning an event in San Antonio, Hotel Valencia was a stand out. Beautiful facility and the logistics to the Alamo and Riverwalk could not have been more convenient. Our group was impressed and nothing but compliments. We would definitely host meetings there again. Thank you all at Hotel Valencia.
"Great Boutique Hotel on the Riverwalk"
If you like a hotel that is away from the ordinary and wish to have some private time away from the hustle & bustle of the busy Riverwalk the Valencia is an excellent place for you! Perfect for a romantic getaway, the hotel offers the V Bar for late night bites and cocktails. Very private room settings and terrific service from the staff. It is good to note that the room lighting is on the "dark" side- this adds to the atmosphere. Upon entering the Valencia you walk into a candlelit waterfall facade and take the elevator up to the second floor to the reception desk. There you will find meeting facilities, the V Bar, the Citrus restaurant (well worth a visit for breakfast, lunch or dinner even though a bit pricey!),a candlelit common area (usually with a guitarist in the evening) and a wonderful veranda overlooking the Riverwalk. Located on the 3rd floor is an inner courtyard with a fireplace and lit waterfall for additional relaxation with cocktails or just to get some sun during the day. There is a gym on premise which is well kept and equipped with towels,water & fruit for the enjoyment of its guests. The Valencia is definitely the place for an upscale experience! *Travelers should note that this hotel is not equipped with a pool. It is the perfect experience for adults and families with older children.
"Fiesta trip"
My wife and I had the opportunity to stay at Hotel Valencia. What a wonderful experience. From the time we arrived to the morning we checked out, it was an awesome experience. Our Bellman Mourad was great. He took our luggage and stored it while our room was being cleaned. He also mentioned an excellent breakfast restaurant the following morning that was close by. He also allowed us to park in front on the hotel while we ate. Such great service. I also want to acknowledge Alyssa in reservations for the great service we received. Our room was beautiful and we felt a bit "spoiled". Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
"Best Hotel San Antonio Has to Offer!"
We stay here anytime we visit San Antonio. The hotel speaks for itself. It is beautiful inside and the VBar is the perfect place to end your night. It is in a perfect location to access whatever you want in downtown/Market Square. Israel and his valet staff are amazing. They are always available for you no matter what your need is (directions, restaurant recommendations, and so much more). You will never be disappointed.

"Beautiful Location!"
We stayed here after our wedding and it was just perfect in every way. Staff was very helpful, location was central and close to everything, and food was delicious. Worth every penny. The hotel provided complimentary champagne and strawberries
"Great hotel experience"
Everyone at the Hotel Valencia was so friendly and helpful. They worked to be sure my stay was relaxing and everything I wanted it to be. When I needed information on the parades and what the traffic would be like they helped me with. Gave me maps or the parade route, made sure I knew where I was going and how to get back to the hotel. Both of the servers in the restaurant remembered me the next time they saw me. Greeted me and asked how my stay was going. The hotel has easy access to the River Walk and is an easy walk to other restaurants and attractions. The hotel is far enough away from the hustle and bustle so it was quiet in the evening and for sleeping.
"Girls Weekend!"
If you are looking for a great hotel on the Riverwalk, Hotel Valencia is the place! The rooms are very nice, the restaurant has great food, and the bar is really fun. Omar, the manager, is second-to-none; thank you for everything! The customer service at the hotel alone will keep me coming back!
"Citrus Restaurant"
Our server Matthew Haase was excellent! He was engaging and offered perfect suggestions. He asked why we were here this weekend, and we let him know it was our anniversary. He then offered us complimentary mimosas. The Spanish omelet and the chorizo and egg burrito were awesome. In addition, the service at the hotel in general has been phenomenal!
"Beautiful Hotel"
This hotel was very romantic and great for our weekend getaway. The drinks and appetizers at the bar/lounge were amazing. The breakfast was amazing at their restaurant with amazing service. We had the pleasure of having a great server by the name of Chris G. He was courteous and attentive. Highly recommend this place great location and area.
"Excellent Hotel with a great location"
I love this hotel! Very cool / intimate / upscale boutique feel. I travel weekly and stay with many different hotel brands. I have to say, this hotel is an extremely pleasant find. The hotel is very pretty and the staff is amazing. The customer service is one of the best I have seen. They will bend over backwards to ensure your stay is first rate. Be sure to read the autographed glass oranges near the restaurant to see the famous people who have stayed there!!
"Pleasant and Worthwhile"
As soon as you walk in to the lobby, you can feel the soothing energy of the water fountains. The Guest Service Reps were very friendly and personable and the entire atmosphere was very welcoming. I highly recommend getting the corner room if you love spacious walkways and and an exquisite view of the riverwalk. The bed was comfy, and the room had a wide variety of refreshments and beverages. Love this place!
"Very nice hotel right on Riverwalk"
We were engaged here so it has always been very close to my heart. We recently went back and took our friends with us for an over night getaway. Once again neither the hotel nor the staff disappointed. Thank you!
"Pampered"
My husband and I chose Hotel Valencia because of its proximity to the riverwalk and the amenities they offered. I chose the package for lovers, Ti Amo which included, upon check in, 4 chocolate covered strawberries, a bottle of champagne, and for the rest of the stay, complimentary valet parking for our rental car. Although I thought we were getting strawberries and champagne nightly I misunderstood and it was only for our check-in. The parking was very important to have in this area so we appreciated the valets and by not having to pay the $20. A day we were able to tip the valets well instead. Our room was clean and spacious with a great courtyard view. A safe was provided as was a mini fridge. The bed has sharp corners on the frame which I hurt myself on multiple times (my fault not theirs.) Some of the courtyard planters had silk plants instead of real ones but it still looked nice, The courtyard had events going on and we never went down to enjoy it, but enjoyed our balcony a little during the courtyard's quiet times. The bathroom had a blow dryer and lighted mirror. The tub was small, but the water pressure was excellent. Soaps, good linens, and a robe were provided. Upon arrival and exit the hotel staff held doors for us, greeted us warmly, assisted us with our bags and generally went above and beyond. I think the best part of staying here was the friendly staff! We could walk to the main square and the riverwalk which led to wonderful music and food. All in all it is 5 stars for the staff, 5 stars for the location and 4 stars for the room itself. We will stay there again.
"Israel Gonzalez Rocks!!!!!!"
This is a great historic hotel perfectly located near the Riverwalk. But the best part about it was the service provided by Israel Gonzalez. He gave us the local "scoop" on great restaurants, located a missing car, and just helped us in every way possible. More hotel should hire people like this!
"Great Location, Clean and Solid Guest Services"
From check in until we checked out this hotel does a great job of making your stay comfortable. Reception was very helpful and went above and beyond letting us know if we needed anything they would take care of it. Room service also went out of their way to accommodate our requests. It was Festival Week yet our room was quite with all the outdoor merriment. Right next the river walk and just 3 blocks from the Alamo.

"What an amazing experience! The Valet Supervisor is Amazing!"
I recently had the pleasure staying at the Hotel Valencia in San Antonio, in town for a business trip. The best part of the experience was the Valet Supervisor Israel Gonzalez. Israel was so accommodating and took care of any and all needs. He helped us get restaurant reservations, cab rides, and Spur Tickets! If you need anything while you're there, see Israel. He will take care of you and treat you like a VIP. Highly recommend him and the hotel.
"Business meeting (legal proceeding)"
The staff at Hotel Valencia Riverwalk and, particularly, Brittany Ruhmel, were very accommodating with their professional and courteous hospitality. My boss and his team enjoyed their rooms and the restaurant, but the conference room and the amenities went excellent and above anything we expected -- thanks to Brittany and the sales staff at the Valencia. It is a beautiful hotel with above average service.
"Romantic Getaway"
Beautiful romantic room overlooking The Riverdale. Spacious balcony perfect viewing The Cavalier River Parade. Felt really special! Citrus Restaurant has the best dining and the room service is prompt and operates all day and night.
