We just finished a week vacation at the Grand Sirenis. We booked through BookVIP and I have to say that I'm extremely pleased with the entire trip, all the way from booking through the conclusion of the trip. We got a phenomenal deal and had an excellent trip!

What Our Customers Are Saying

Written Review

"Royal African queen suite"
My family needed a small vacation so we went to kalahari and of course it was perfect our room was upgraded to the royal African queen suite it was absolutely beautiful more than what we expected very spacious more than enough room for us and of course the water park was awesome . We know there are more places we could stay but kalahari never let's us down and everyone there is so nice they sure know how to make sure there guests have a great time!!
"Great Conference Center"
Have been to many conferences here. Large comfortable spaces. Good food. Friendly staff. Great rooms! During the recent Autism conference it was great they offered a lunch buffet and took debit cards. Didn't have to leave the building to find lunch. Comfy chairs placed around the hallway areas to relax in between sessions.
"6 adults 8 kids!"
We recently stayed here with two other families. There was a center room with a bedroom and a king size bed with a spacious kitchen with full size fridge and fireplace and pull out couch. There were two attached rooms with 2 queen sized beds in each and a balcony in all 3. The resort is very big but very manageable with all of the kids. The water park was awesome and even catered towards the adults with adults only swim up bar. Would definitely recommend!
"Wonderful stay!"
With 9 in our group, ages ranging from a 2 year old to a grandma (and including teenagers), there was something at the indoor water park for everyone. We arrived too early to get into our suite but began using the water park right away. It was well staffed and everyone was helpful. The following day, we continued to use the water park after checking out. Our room was as described on the website and we were very pleased. We plan to return this summer for another go when the outdoor water park is open. We felt we had good value for our money with everything except we felt the cost of beverages was excessive. There was a minifrige in the room so that helped defray the cost of drinks. The free wi-fi was fast and dependable no matter where we were inside the resort. The actual reservation was made by phone although I had researched the various rooms on the Internet. The agent was very good at making sure I had the room needed for our group size, and that I understood their terms. It was a very positive experience.
"Work conference"
Amazing place to have a conference! Huge conference room along with several smaller ones. They really know how to accommodate! We had over 700 people attending the conference and you would never had known. Breakfast, lunch and appetizers were amazing. Check in was super easy and customer service rep very friendly. Hotel room was huge and very clean. 2 Queen beds, couch, fire place, table and chairs. Lobby area has a restaurant, candy shop, ice-cream area, plus souvenier shop. Waterpark area is off lobby. We didn't have time to use it but it looked like lots of fun. Also huge outdoor waterpark as well but was still closed for the season. I would stay here again especially in the summer months where you can use both indoor and outdoor waterparks.
"Excellent Vacation Spot!"
The service my family and I received was above and beyond my expectations! The staff at the resort and at the Double Cut steakhouse gave my son the 5 star treatment for his trip and I couldn't have been happier with our stay here! These memories will last a lifetime!
"Excellent for conventions and conferences"
Stayed during a very large student retreat. Excellent accommodations, well equipped to manage regular hotel guests as well as those attending the retreat. Nice food selection, vending machines, restaurants, bakery, ice cream shop, etc. Indoor theme park and water park set the example for all other Dells attractions. Doesn't seem "gimmicky" like most things at the Dells. High recommendations.
"Great family indoor waterpark and accomodations"
1st time staying at the Kalahari, we stayed at the Wyndham section of the Wilderness Lodge previously. As we do with the Wilderness, we wanted to get a room with a living area, dining, stove, etc to cook some food in the room (lodge king suite). Compared to the Wyndham at the Wilderness, the rooms were slightly smaller and not as luxurious, but did include everything we needed for a nice stay. At the Kalahari the lodge kind suites are in the Sands building, a short inside walk to the waterpark. We actually prefer being a little away from the waterpark like this. The indoor waterpark was absolutely fantastic for families, we liked this one the best out of the Wisconsin Dells indoor parks. Plenty of activities for younger children as well, we loved that we could ride the raft waterslides with our daughter. We will return. Side note- all of the food (as well as food everywhere in the Dells) is overpriced for the quality you get. I don't mind spending for it if its good.
"Waterslides for kids, Swim-Up Bar for adults!"
A couple of coworkers were coming here for a conference, and since I had never been to Wisconsin Dells, I decided to tag along. The room is spacious enough, only thing we found that was odd was the shower faucet handle. Make sure to pull it straight out forcefully in order to turn the shower on! The wifi here is EXTRAORDINARY!! Very strong signal in the room, in the waterpark, in the restaurant, and skywalk, even in the swim-up bar! We stayed in the fourth floor of the Sands building, (it connects to the main building via skywalk) and there is a light outside our room at night, and then the sun comes in very early... the room is never completely dark which makes it hard to sleep. We did go on some water slides, but the highlight for adults is the Mud Hut swim up bar! It has an attached outdoor hot tub area where you can enjoy a cocktail outside year round. I was here during the NFL draft and watched it while enjoying some adult beverages in the water! It was great! The non conference rates of the rooms seem a little pricey, (about 300 a night) so probably won't be back, but I'm glad I got to check it out! I gave it 4/5 because I think the room rate is a bit steep for what you get. There are private cabanas with TVs and couches in the waterpark you can rent, not sure on the cost.
"Combination Suite is Sweet!"
We stayed at Kalahari in a Combination Suite in the Sands Building for Easter weekend. The check-in process was painful as there was only one person trying to check everyone in by herself. There were plenty of carts to bring up our luggage. The room itself was perfect! It had plenty of space for 2 families - loved the separate bathrooms and patios. We were irked at the extra fees for a 9th person - $12 p/day and $25 p/night for a rollaway bed that never rolled into our room - hmmmmm, somehow that 9th person had a place to sleep without it...just sayin'. The full size kitchen and appliances were clean and put to use while we were there. There was plenty of storage for all of our stuff and the rooms felt new, clean and modern.
"Maximum Fun Family Vacation"
Our family, 2 boys ages 10 and 9, and us parents, had a non-stop fun filled spring break at the Kalahari! We really did it up this time and it was SO worth it! Stayed in a 2 bedroom suite with a hot tub- enough room for everyone , a dining room table for our Moose Jaw pizza and quick breakfasts. We had the waterpark passes, and an activities wristband. The activities wrist band was great-we tried the high ropes, wall climbing, and about a dozen games of laser tag! One of the days we rented a whirlpool Cabana and it was heaven! The staff was friendly and attentive from check in to departure. We can't wait to get back!
"Family vacation"
The kalahari resort was awesome! The staff was so helpful. We got upgraded to the presidential suite !!!!! We had two bedrooms a huge living room and kitchen and our own jucuzzi on the balcony! Me my family loved the Master Blaster waterslide which was our favorite!
"So much to do..."
We arrived and could not believe everything there was. It became clear why this is the place to be. Then once we got inside the overall experience was improved by the staff. Between the water park and the indoor theme park we never lacked for things to do. Many of the things to do are already included in the initial cost. Then we got to eat and things just got better again. The breakfast buffet was one of the best anywhere. Here's to doing your best when you are already on top.
"Great family Fun!"
We had a 2 bedroom suite for my husband, and two adult daughters, celebrating the younger daughters birthday. ad the Dells is about a 3 hr drive from our home. We had a living area, dining area and outdoor patio overlooking the outdoor waterpark. We enjoyed the indoor waterpark, the Tommy Bartlett air and water show, Wildlife zoo which was included with our package. We also enjoyed a speed boat ride where we got soaking wet! We had a lot of fun!
"Best so far"
We have been to Great Wolf, Wilderness and Kalahari in the past 3 years Our family of 4 (including an 8 and 10 year old) agrees that Kalahari is our favorite!! The waterpark size is just right. Not separated into multiple water parks like Wilderness and offers more than Great wolf. The indoor theme park is fabulous. Get the pass. So much to do. The rooms (nomad) were clean and spacious -- the best of the 3 hotels. The wilderness has better on site food but the great wolf has essentially none. Kalahari food is decent but you don't have to go off site, so that is a bonus. Overall, it was a great visit and we will go back!
"tons of fun but educate yourself first!"
This place is packed full of good fun and lots of choices. Just make sure before you go you have a plan of what you want and where you want to spend your $$ cuz you are gonna spend it.....I recommend getting a rechargable card at the arcade and NOT buying the wristbands until you are sure they want to use them -as they are expensive! Know the restaurants around the area as once you are in the building you feel like not leaving and then you buy the million dollar food and drink, which is quite good but very pricey. The rooms are nice and clean-note that on Friday afternoon you may wait 30-40 minutes to check in as there is a line...
"Hit"
Took my 8 year old there for is B-Day with the family. Alot of fun, the lines for the big slides were longer then I hoped. But my son loved it. If your having drinks, plan on spending about the same you paying alot!! You get what you pay for.. Would do again!
"Great Spring Break Vacation for the kids"
Our family recently stayed at Kalahari Resorts for our son's Spring Break vacation. The entire staff at Kalahari is very accommodating. The room we had was pretty big, it included two rooms with 3 beds, 2 baths, a dinning area, a couch, and a outdoor patio with a table & chairs. We loved that the water park, the indoor theme park, all the restaurants, and shops were all under one roof. We never had to step outside. The water park was big. It had tons of fun activities for our son to have fun with. We also enjoyed the fact that there was a swim up bar, great for parents. Right outside the water park, there was several food selections for the kidos. We just wished there were more healthy choices available. The indoor theme park, which includes: a Ferris Wheel, tons of gaming, bowling, lazer tag, bumper cars, zip lining, and a few other things for older kids. We will definitely be back in a couple months. Our son had a blast. The only thing they need to work on is adding more restaurants with better quality food. We don't mind paying for good quality food. Most parents are looking for a one stop shop! Keep up the great work.
"Who is really the parent here"
This year my wife and I decided to allow the lil ones decide where we would go for spring break. And they did not disappoint at all. As I enjoyed the inner child in me by enjoying the water slides, in door amusement park, bowling, pool table, and drop slide, my wife was still able to receive her pampering at the resort. She actually rated the full body massage as one of the best she has received in a while and was surprise. In addition, we were also able to enjoy a elaborate dinner. We didn't have to leave the resort at all during our 4 day stay. GOOD choice lil ones.
"Spring Break water park getaway"
We stayed at Kalahari for 3 days/2 nights over Spring Break. Checked in on a Sunday afternoon and waited about 15 mins in line. There's plenty of free private lot parking available. Our room wasn't ready until 4:00pm. We were in a Desert room with two queen beds and a sofa bed. Had to call housekeeping twice to request a portable crib. The rooms are generously sized and also include a microwave, fridge, coffee maker and hair dryer. Toiletries include soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion. The "African" theme in the lobby is beautiful and reminds me of Vegas hotels. The decor in the room is more subtle, but ties the theme together well. Neutral colors, lots of browns, leopard painting and wooden animal masks above the beds. My kids (ages 8, 7 and 2) enjoyed the free cookie decorating in the lobby (occurs every day at 3pm). There's plenty of dining options, ranging from sit down to a quick service coffee shop. Besides the indoor and outdoor water parks, there's also an indoor theme park and an AMC theatre connected to the hotel. There's really no reason to leave this place! We paid $149/night plus taxes and resort fees and the price includes our waterpark passes. The waterpark is lots of fun! There are a number of larger thrill slides and enough kiddie options to keep everyone entertained. A lazy river goes around the entire waterpark and there's a small wave pool. Locker room and shower area were clean. We normally stay at Great Wolf (better deals), but we're glad that we checked out Kalahari.
"Became our annual family vacation spot!"
We made our first trip to the Kalahari in Wisconsin Dells, WI 3 years ago. The price for your room is reasonable considering what you get. We have stayed 3 different room types and were very happy with all 3! Our kids LOVE the waterpark and my husband, and I, along with a family friend are able to relax. The Theme Park is also great for giving us something to do in the evenings when we're all watered out. We are going for our 4th trip in a week and a half and we are all so excited!!!
"Very Very Nice + fun"
When I went to the Kalahari for the first time it was when I was 16 and I loved it!! Now every time we go with my family for Easter I get very excited! I love how they have baby animals during the day. The sweet shop is also very good and they have good service to. All the rooms are very clean and we have never had issues with room service. I have read many reviews about this place about bad room service, but honestly that doesn't happen to often. And if it does I mean have you seen the size of the place? It wouldn't take much to accidentally miss a room so people shouldn't be so mad. Anyway yes I know everything is kinda overpriced but think how much money it takes to pay all the workers, buy all the room supplies, keep the water and theme parks in such good condition, to get all different alcohol so you can almost whatever kind you want. I could go on and on but I won't cause I don't want to type that much. So if you are a family I highly recommend it because it is clean, nice, and very fun, while other places can't offer all those things.
