The front desk was amazing! They were very professional. The room was nice. We will certainly return!!!! The ocean view was beautilful!! All the staff were great! The pool area was a lot of fun with a tiki bar and grill. Hot tub was awesome and relaxing!

"Fun Getaway"
Went away for Memorial Weekend and must say we has a great time. Met wonderful people and they have a great staff. Tina the bartender was excellent and Cookie was very welcoming. We will see them again as we will stay here again.

If you happen to get this hotel through hotwire be sure to confirm with La Playa Resort prior to arrival. I spent nearly an hour on the phone with hotwire in order to check in. Once checked in everything was fine. The front desk staff and breakfast workers were friendly and helpful. Tony at the Tiki bar was attentive and professional. I was only here for one night and didn't use the kitchenette nor attend the comedy club.

I loved the view of the ocean and the ammeneties were amazing. Pool was really clean as well as the rooms. Friendly staff and great area to stay. The rooms are decent size and come with a stove, sink and a fridge. Although it is a little outdated, with the amazing beach and pool you really don't spend too much time in the room anyways.

Terrific lunch! Attentive staff and Annie was very very nice and friendly...great service! Stopped to chat and ask me about my day, and suggested a good lunch choice. I'll definitely go back and sit on the patio overlooking the 18th green.
"Recent stay April 22-24, 2016"
Recently stayed at LaPlaya Resort with our Veterans Group for a weekend of hospitality, meetings, meals, and entertainment. All our rooms were oceanfront which provide a magnificent wake up scene. All our rooms had either a full kitchen or an efficiency with a serving bar and stools as well as a large balcony facing the Atlantic Ocean. Our dinners were catered by the hotel in their mezzanine ballroom and with few exceptions were extremely generous and very tasty. The facilities of the hotel are being upgraded and I look forward to the fall when we will be having our state convention there at the LaPlaya Resort. All the staff at the hotel were very helpful and efficient. Whenever they were called upon to provide a service they responded quickly to assist us. The LaPlaya Resort has first class amenities which are available at a budget price.
"A great stay!!"
We enjoyed our stay. The rooms were clean, bathroom and kitchen. The only problem was no cooking utensils or an ironing, board so error used the table. Very nice pool and outside bar area. Direct access to the beach. Balcony and view. Breakfast was decent. The price was a plus for the type of hotel!
"Beautiful wedding on the beach"
The staff is very attentive and helpful. My sister had her wedding on the beach and we planned on having the reception at the gazebo. The forecast called for rain. We talked to Chad and he and some staff members set up the reception indoors for us. They decorated, made coffee and set up everything for the cake with decorations. They went above and beyond to make the day special.

Our daughter had her wedding on the beach with plans to have a reception with cake outside. When the weather forecast was for rain the Hotel Staff set up and decorated the restaurant for the reception! They went above and beyond even including sea shells for decorations! Very accommodating and friendly staff! Chad was wonderful.

I love the hospitality the warmth of the staff breakfast was wonderful amd rooms were clean..we stayed 3 days and o was one of the best vactions ever i want to say a very big thank you to a young man who volunteerd to get my luggage to the room and he refused a tip when it was offerd his name is ekuma and i want managment to really recognize him and to make him be a role model to the rest of off the staff very educated young man...front desk staff was vey nice....the Miller family
"Clean, Safe, Great Location, Very Good Value"
Our race team spent 10 days at La Playa while competing at the Speedway in September; I found it to be quite an excellent value. It's not a 5-star hotel, nor did we expect that. But the rooms were clean, quiet (despite a lot of guest activity), and the ocean rooms have a stupendous view. The outside was a tad run-down, with metal parts (doors, stairway) feeling the effects of the salt air, but overall it's perfectly fine. It's located a bit far up the road from the main bridge, but there were plenty of various restaurants in the area. And again, the location on the beach is fantastic. It was an absolute joy to wake up each morning to the sun streaming into the room from over the ocean. As I noted, if you demand a 5-star hotel, this won't be the place for you. But if you're looking for a clean, safe room with a good location at an excellent value -- well, you should give this place serious consideration. We'll be back at La Playa next time we're in the area.
"A Great Surprise!!"
The stay at LaPlaya Resort was great. The room, view, cost and service was excellent. I want to thank all of the front desk staff for their professionalism and courteousness. During my stay I left my watch in the room and the housekeeping manager Diana went above and beyond her duties, by finding it and ensuring it was returned to me. Her professionalism and kindness was well appreciated. Because of the quality of service from the hotel staff as a whole, I look forward to returning in the near future.
"Great beach and Tiki Hut"
The room was great with an ocean view. Breakfast was fabulous (suggest Eggs Benedict!!). The tiki hut was fun and the bartender, Chrissie, was fab. She was much overeducated for the job-should be the Manager. She is Right On!!!! We'll be back, for sure.
"Klingon Feast Weekend"
In it's 17th year, we assisted for the Klingon feast, an annual gathering of Star Trek Fans & Friends. We had an ocean-front suite with a terrific rate. Our Banquet room was spacious and the Buffet served on Saturday nite for our dinner was excellent. Service was excellent all weekend and the entire staff was courteous and friendly. Those tending to the pool Tiki Bar were especially helpful in creating a party atmosphere. We had a great time and will continue to gather at La Playa every year.

My family and I stayed at the playa for our yearly vacation. We enjoy our stay not only because the great view in our room but also for the friendly staff in the hotel. They always were prompt to help and give us towels for the beach, thank you Romina S. for your assistance at the front desk. (I have 2 toddlers so towels are a must). The pool bar was clean and the burgers were amazing!! I will definitely come back!

Had a great time with my family, the rooms are clean and the staff was very accommodating. Pool was huge, two hot tubs. Really good burgers and French fries from the bar out back. Had a nice balcony and a perfect view of the ocean. The star of the stay was the beach. What more do you need? Air conditioner was strong and we had a kitchen!! It's a good choice if you are a good traveler!

Stayed 4 days with a 21 month old and a pet. Had a wonderful time! It was a memorable first beach trip for my Godson and Grandson. The kiddie pool was awesome! The tiki bar and the service was wonderful!! Will definitely stay here in the future!!
"Family Vacation"
Love the LaPlaya! We come every year and each year we bring more people with us! The employees at the LaPlaya are just like our friends, especially Chrissy the tiki hut bartender, Mary also a bartender, and Kyle the disjockey! Our vacation would not be the same wjthout these sweet people! They insure we have a fabulous time. Its an older hotel, but very clean, and the hotel staff are always ready to accommodate you! Thank you Monica for helping with our accommodations! See you all next year. Chrissy can't wait to see you again, you are so special!
"I stay here often mainly because ofthe staff"
The building and rooms are average.I am a Florida resident and I stay here often as I can the main reason is the staff. the quality of the people who work at la playa is five star everyone from the cleaning crew to the groundskeepers is great. especially Chrissy who handles the Tiki bar and is a hostess at the comedy club. She adds a bit off class that you would normally find at the Hilton.
