"Multiple Families Vacation!!!"
My family and I have been to this resort at least three times in the past years and I must say "Growth" Beautiful even under construction. We occupied two, two bedroom units that had more than enough space for the 11 family members. new walmart location made shopping and cooking for a crowd easy. The breakfast buffet was wonderful but meals were expensive for large groups, so we took advantage of the kitchen. I did find that a price tag was on everything bottled water and even coffee packs in the room. Time share presentation went a little long and there was confusion with the bill at checkout. Loved the spa, pools and activities, we just found out that everything costs.
"fun in the sun"
We traveled with our 4 yo daughter and had a wonderful time. Room was beautiful with lots of space and small kitchen. Parking was OK, but you need to plan ahead to get your car as it takes time. Pool and food were great. Beach was awesome. We did go into town and bought groceries but ate in the restaurants about 1/2 of the times. This was my Mother's Day gift and I loved it. Still under construction, but we never even heard a thing or noticed any construction vehicles. My daughter loved the Kids Club and it is very reasonable. Lots of activities for her and completely safe and secure. Gave mom and dad the ability to do an excursion and have some free time. Also used the on site baby sitting service which was a little expensive but worth it for a quiet dinner out. We would definitely go again!!
"Ocean, Lazy river and Beautiful Surroundings All In One Place"
We enjoyed the entire facility = it took 3 days! Gorgeous, most courteous staff ever and great rooms. The place is so big they have little shuttle carts to take you from place to place but it is done right!
The lazy river is my favorite! Loved it!
Our 2 bd suite had beautiful view of the lazy river, the resort and the ocean = PERFECT!
Would we go back? ABSOLUTELY!
Take a taxi (cheap) to go to a nearby Walmart for groceries. The onsite grocery is very expensive and too upscale for everyday.
Every person on staff is top notch and you get the feeling like the are genuinely happy you are there. Most helpful and courteous. Most everyone speaks English to some degree.
"Mi casa es su casa"
We have been coming to here since we first purchased a time share in 1991. We have not missed a year. When we first arrive, everyone greets us with 'welcome home' and that is just how we feel! The bell boys, the waiters (especially at Balche by the pool) do everything they can to make us feel at home. The activities kids all work especially hard also! Alan, Adrian (who is in training and will hopefully be one of the 'regulars') Iriana, Abraham, Luis and Miguel. Temo gave us our 'update' letting us know what new things are on the agenda and was very informative. We enjoyed the fabulous shows at the Santuario! We especially loved JayCee.....she was wonderful!!!!!! She truly got the audiences going! We usually don't have to go through RCI, but this year we did.
"Miguel from activities"
Upon our stay here, Miguel an activity helper was amazing at entertaining. He had a great personality and was always smiling while working with others. Because of Miguel, I have memories that will last a life time. I really enjoyed the conducted activities, and learning more about Miguel and his lifestyle in Mexico. You've got great staff overall, I had an amazing trip and look forward to returning.
"Absolutely Amazing Mayan Palace"
This was my third vacation and every time it just gets better and better. The location is amazing and everything is so beautiful. It is paradise. When you get to the resort you are greeted by amazing people who take your luggage on a cart to your room for you. I was amazed at all the staff and how well they took care of things and how kind and caring they are. The activity staff is amazing and they are great at what they do. Miguel was amazing and got everyone excited to join in on the next activity. Nothing beats volleyball on the beach in the hot sun. I loved laying in the sun by the pool it was so relaxing. The food, the drinks everything was amazing. I will continue to go here every year because it is always a great vacation. Great Place, amazing Palace.
"Mexican paradise"
Lovely vacation ,even when I have been sick this turn out to be a very nice time to spent with friends, the resort have amazing grounds, beautiful water features, very nice and accommodating employes , the addition of Santuario a entertainment area with bar lounge and shows, and the plaza mall with really nice high end options to eat, shop and enjoy, haven't been here before but definitively will come back, overall a lovely place .
I have an outtstanding member specialist Melida Gomez on the sales
center.
"We Loved the resort and the friendly staff"
This was our first visit to the resort in Nuevo Vallarta. Like in Stacy A's comments we were given a hotel type room, as the type room we purchased was not built yet. They up-graded us to a room in the Grand Bliss which gave us access to the pools at the Grand Mayan. Both the hotel and staff were great. The restaurants were very good. We met with member specialist Imaria Agboh and she offered to take care of any needs or concerns that we might have had, she was excellent. I would recommend this resort to anyone who wants an enjoyable vacation. I look forward to returning here and also going to some of Vida's other resorts in the future .
"neuvo vallarta"
We really like neuvo vallarta area and come here every 2 years. The staff and people that work here are very helpful and always by pleasant. Daniella has been very pleasant and friendly we enjoyed spending time with her.
"Impressed"
I was very impressed by Sofia R when I did my members upgrade. Information was very valuable and thoroughly explained. Beautiful resort, very good service. Had a great time, look forward to coming back to this resort.
"Spectacular"
We went to this property on an RCI trade a year ago. After reading all the reviews more, we were nervous about our decision with regards to the time share hawks. As it turned out, our room was large and lovely with a view of the mountains.
The grounds are spectacular, the entire place is immaculate and there were staff fixing and cleaning things constantly. Except for Tacos Break, all the on-site food is expensive, but no more so than any other resort or NYC and everything we ate was of very high quality and taste. We walked to Eddies for 2 dinners and both were very good.
There is no oven in the unit and the fridge is small, but there are adequate pots, pans etc.
The suggestions about wal-mart are great, but take off your bracelet when you go. If you wear it, other time share people will stalk you.
it was a great vacation!
"Nice property..."
I visited this resort in October with my mother and aunt.
She had a timeshare, so we stayed in a 2 bedroom condo. The room was georgeous, the beds were wonderfully comfortable. We had all the amenities we could have asked for!
The food was a little expensive at the different restaurants, but it was nice to have a few options within the resort. We really enjoyed the breakfast buffet, the egg station was really good.
The pools were nice. We ventured down the waterslide a few times, and spent many hours in the lazy river. The pool entertainment staff were a lot of fun, they really got everyone involved. The staff there were easily the best at this resort. I am still craving the chips and guacamole we ordered to the pool bar. Yummy!
While we were there the ocean was really cloudy, and lots of debris on the beach. From what I understand it was because of the rainy season. We didn't spend a lot of time on the beach, which is unusual for us.
Overall the facilities were nice, the rooms were gorgeous and most of the staff were really friendly.
"We LOVE our palace!"
We have been visiting Mexico for over 20 years and at least 1/2 of that time has been with these properties. We LOVED meeting and working with Carlos Gonzales in Nuevo who made us so happy last year. We will definitely be requesting him for our annual update this year too!!!
We are back again this February...counting the days until we get there! Every time we visit, we find new things to do, new restaurants to try and make new friends. It's such an amazing community. LOVE IT!
"Gorgeous Pools"
Visited here recently with someone who is already an owner, so that at least got us out of the time share talk....of course it STILL took her multiple times of telling them NO before they dropped trying to get it to go again. I LOVED the gorgeous and relaxing pool area. The restaurant pool staff are fantastic and the food there (and at all the resort restaurants actually) was delicious. Unfortunately they are doing a TON of construction, so some of the historically lovely grounds were in complete upheaval and lots of construction activity/noise. Ultimately this did not terribly disrupt our vacation - thank heavens - as the pool area was as lovely as ever. Very lovely and relaxing vacation. Rooms very large and spacious - loved that!
"Enjoyed our stay"
Arrived in Dec for a two week stay. Very large resort with lots of work still being undertaken. We were offered an accomodation upgrade to a double room for my husband and myself but as my son was due to join us for our second week we chose to stay in the suite we had booked. Although there was a lot of work going on around it was not intrusive and hardly disturbed us at all. The grounds are beautiful and the swimming pool also. The beach is clean with plenty of sunbeds and staff on hand to help if needed. Also staff from poolside bar on segways riding around to take orders/deliver refreshments. Staff were very friendly and helpful and we did not have any problems during our stay. Plenty of restaurants to eat, some more expensive than others but good quality food and service. It is a growing resort and they are trying to sell but we did not find their approach aggressive at all - just be strong and say no. Attending a presentation garnered us a free breakfast, two free trips, 10% off all resort spend and 10% off the two diving trips my husband booked- not bad for losing a morning. Access to other hotel pools is restricted but this did not bother us as the pool at the mayan is lovely but for families
"First class Vallarta vacation."
Beautiful grounds, super friendly staff, one mile long swimming pool with a separate area for kids. Fun games to participate in and excellent restaurants Chinese food all upscale for very reasonable prices. I've stayed at other resorts that have burger King and American fast food, who wants that garbage on vacation. Great shopping on the resort a gym and beautiful spa. Even daycare if you want a break from the kids. The beaches are amazing and clean because your about 15 minutes out of town and you can catch a bus right out front for only ten pesos into old Vallarta excellent bus service we rode it everywhere.
"Fun Resort"
For those that seek a self-contained get away, with great pools, dining, and beaches: this is terrific. The staff were great at arranging tours, reservations, and local travel as we wanted to do more than stay at the resort. The rooms are attractive and the views are great.
The restaurants on the property are fantastic for quality and service. The prices compare favorably with resorts and urban vacation destinations in the US.
Yes you are offer a sales meeting or owner consultation, but that comes with good discount promotions. I'll go back again and try their other resorts. I could get addicted to cruising the lazy river tube ride.
"Amazing Trip"
My husband and I were given this trip as our honeymoon. Once we landed in Mexico we were hounded by people who claimed to be part of our hotel personal pick up service little did we know they were trying to hustle us into buying a timeshare on the spot. Once we made it to our hotel the check in went fast and then taken to a lady who makes all your activites appointments she will also match what the men at the airport promised you if you go to a timeshare presentation. We recieved a free Rythem of the Nights which if you can do it,very worth it and we got a free city tour. The timeshare presentation is long but worth it in the end I PROMISE YOU! Our room was gorgous couldn't have asked for anything better. We ate at three resturants on the hotel property they were all good. Don't waste your money or time going to walmart go to the sun market across from the front doors they have everything you will need at the same price. We canceled our city tour and instead took a cab into a little town to go to a flea market it was nice and plus side our cab driver waited for us without charging us!! The people are very nice and are willing to help you if they understand english. We are already planning on going back in August.

"Everything I expected and More"
This was a wonderful resort with a great staff. I usually choose all inclusive when I go to Mexico, but this time I wanted to try a variety of places, so I chose not to go AI. The food at the resort was fantastic. My son especially loved their breakfast; he could not wait to have their chocolate croissants. There were plenty to do on the property, including a large swimming pool. The area of Nuevo is newer than Puerto Vallarta, therefore the resorts are cleaner and more up to date. We ventured around the area and tried some of the restaurants, which were very good. Puerto Vallarta is only about 15 miles away, and there is plenty to do in town, such as shopping, the straw market, more water activities such as the pirate ship and more. On one of our days there, we asked our taxi driver where a good place to eat was, somewhere the locals eat. He took us to AH Carumba, which was my best experience of the Island. The food was great, the restaurant was on top of a mountain overlooking the ocean, and since we were there at the right time, the sunset was beautiful also. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who goes there. Told a woman at the hotel and she said she goes there all the time. We also had a problem, and my mother's diabetic meter broke, and the woman behind the counter suggested a place to get a new one. When we got back to the hotel, the instructions were all in Spanish. We brought the meter and instructions to the main desk, and the same woman who had been so helpful, translated everything for us. What a great resort and wonderful experience. I will definitely go there again.
"Pleasantly Surprised"
Having just spent the week of March 11-18 here, all I can say are good things. We stayed with friends, who are owners, and despite all the hipe about timeshare presentations and pressure to upgrade what you already have,I must say I was pleasantly surprised for my friend and for ourselves. After we checked in they were asked 1 time & 1 time only if they wished to upgrade their property. My wife and I were never approached for a presentation. My friend refused their offer and we not bothered at all throughout our entire stay.
The 2 bedroom suite we were in was perfect. Made the most of the kitchenette that was in the living room area between the 2 bedrooms. Staff was extremely helpful and very nice.
Would not recommed the beach parties they have, but the restaurants we ate in were very good.
