"Best hotel ever!"
I can't say anything, just everything perfect and amazing in this hotel. The room very cosy and huge and well equipped(we had a junior suit for 7nights). They have a mexican all inclusive restaurant(with many choices, fresh food, cold food, fruits, desserts...), and a Brazilian grill restaurant, where you can go just if you are really hungry, the waiters are very professional and nice, the food is fantastic here as well. And there is an Italian restaurant as well, what to be honest we didn't even try because these two restaurants were far too good... ohhh and fresh grill every afternoon next to the pool. The bar is all inclusive and not just with local drinks everything for free even the high quality drinks. The staff is very nice, friendly, helpful. And this resort has a beautiful spa as well, with very good masseurs, I tried the massage with the hot stones, and it was very relaxing, and healed the stress out of me. So for me 10/10! I would love to come back here definitely!
"Awesome experience"
We have been here at the Gran Porto Real for 10 days now. We have been to this restaurant three times now . We have had something different each night when we went there. And we have been pleasantly surprised by every meal. The two waiters we had were Israel and Genaro, The service we received was exceptional. The head chef Mariana Yanez has put together an excellent menu and has a very good supporting staff Cesar and Gabriel and Ivan and Vicente. I cannot say enough good things about our experience here. We have been coming to play Adele Carmen for 13 years and have been to this resort five or six times. This trip has been the best by far .thank you!,,,
"Great resort, lovely staff"
Great little resort with lovely staff. The activities and entertainment team were lovely and the food and drinks were great. We had a great time here and enjoyed the stay very much. Make your you try the omelette for breakfast and a Bloody Mary from the lobby bar on the way out

Food is wonderful so much choice and games and entertainment is superb Carlos, Caser and Manual make us feel so comfortable we had a blast!! The rooms where so big and comfortable swan towels were insane highly recommend!
"Loved it!!!!"
Gran Porto is a fabulous place to stay!!! We loved the building, the location, the food & the staff were super friendly!!! Cesar Turriza in the dining room remembered our names & was hugely helpful with gluten free!! Lizabeth there and the kitchen staff came to offer food alternatives, we felt so well looked after!! The nightly shows were super fun & Carlos the sports & entertainment guy became a good friend keeping us entertained, patiently teaching us Spanish, taking us out kayaking =) & we tried to burn off a few calories with Cesar doing aqua aerobics in the pool. The pool was really fabulous!!! All excursions were great & easy to book. Highly recommend Grand Porto!! It's a great place to stay!!! We hope to go back soon!!!!
"Great Vacation Here"
We had a great vacation at the Gran Porto for 11 days. Juan who helped take our bags to our room was very friendly and courteous. We had a lot of laughs through out our stay with him. Laura Ramos who was our housekeeping lady worked very hard and kept our room very clean and neat and she put a new towel animal on our bed every day. Pat Yesica who was the person who turned down our bed every night made the bed look lovely every night. Rolando was the pool guy who kept the drinks coming and was very good at that. Minerva who works at the front desk helped us out very much as we needed to stay one more night because of the flood in Houston. Pablo did an great job in the lobby to keep the drinks coming and we had a few good laughs with him. Isaura worked outside the lobby and in the lobby, she was great and bringing us drinks and nuts. Gabriel was the captain at the Brazilian and buffet restaurants. He was the best captain ever. He helped me get my daughters food on time to her room as she is gluten free and they needed to make all her food fresh. I really appreciate all the hard work Gabriel did for us. I think he deserves a day off as he worked very hard and is excellent as his job. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone that wants to go to mexico. This resort is near 5 Ave and not far from the ferry to Cozumel. We all had a great time here and will be back soon. Everyone that I have mentioned was excellent in the jobs that they do. I would like to give all of you a big pat on the back for a job well done.
"We did it again ..."
Again it was a pleasure to stay at the Gran Porto in Playa del Carmen. We have been there a few times and it was as usual very relaxing and a great stay. Thank you to Arturo from the reception. He gave us an upgrade for this wonderful room with great view on the caribean sea. Wonderful! They told us that in the next time the rooms will be renovated and remodeled. We are excited how will be the new Look when we will be back next year. See you Gran Porto!
"Great hotel"
We had a 10 day holiday here at the end of August - our first time in Mexico. Great hotel, fantastic location, amazing foodand service, with loads of great activities in the area. Couldn't fault the staff at the hotel, all of whom were welcoming and went out of their way to make our trip enjoyable. A special mention to Walter, Rodiver and Marco in the restaurants, Juan in Il pescatore, the pool waiters/waitresses and of course Cesar and Carlos the entertainment staff.
"Great family vacation!"
We had an excellent time at Gran Porto, it was my third time here and it never displeases! The entertainment and sports team Carlos, Cesar and Manuel were fantastic, always energetic and making sure that everyone was involved! The bar tenders and restaurant service staff were also fantastic!! We never had to wait for anything. Our room cleaner was fantastic, and always left lovely little treats for us, I think her name Delsi (we were in room 314)

This is my first time in Mexico and the first time at Gran Porto Real. I really love it! Nice room with a free upgrade, good food, great service and very sweet and nice staff. Especially Carlos and Cesar from the entertainment made us feel very welcome. Thanks guys :)

Well What Can I Say The Staff Amazing Some Are Like Family As I Have Known Them For Years. This is a delayed review but not forgotten. My husband and I got married at the Gran Porto Resort this past June 2017. It can be nerve wrecking planning a wedding in a different country and when our reservations fell through at another resort I was frantic. Our flight agent for our group of 26 suggested Gran Porto and I am so happy she did! They quickly assigned me to Anat who was my wedding planner.She made the planning process so seamless. They were quick to respond to my emails and very helpful answering questions and making suggestions. I am sure there were things that came up they took care of that I don't even know about! Our wedding day was beautiful! We got married in the gazebo on the beach. I highly recommend this if you would like a beach wedding with a covering for your guest ( my guest so appreciated this).The hotel itself is traditional and elegant. You can go to a more modern hotel in Playa del Carmen ( Like Azul 5... who canceled my wedding reservation last minute for a business event without contacting me). but why go to Mexico to experience a stay in a place you can find similar in the states? Gran Porto makes you feel like you have stepped into an elegant replica of a fancy Mexican hotel from the 1960's. It is clean, perfectly located on the beach and walking distance to nightlife. We had a ball and I barely broke a sweat! The suggested photographer and videographer were professional and did a great job! Our wedding pictures were available in 2 days. The staff is efficient, friendly and very accommodating. They truly made our stay at Gran Porto and our wedding day wonderful.

"Friends trip"
This place is Awseome! The best part is the location and the staff. Cesar from the entertainment team is super fun and helpful! Look for HIM of you ever come!! Arturo from front desk also helped us A lot! The shows ar night are amazone! I loved the decades show the most!
"Bday trip with the gals!!!"
We had this amazing girls trip, yo!!!!! we came here for my friend s 30th bday and boy oh boy we had fun! I really enjoyed the open bar because I like drinking and for it to come to you without breaking a sweat was ideal, yo. Special mentions to the entertainment team who always gave their all to keep the people around fun and cool. Cesar, Carlos and Manuel are the bomb, yo! If you come, look for these guys! I also enjoyed the dinner outside and the decades show. Pablo and Jesus the waiters always helpful. To sum it all, everyone was super friendly and cool! Was a great girls trip #wedontneednomans.

"Absolutely amazing!"
The hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous! Beautiful architecture and the interior is modern and stylish. The staff were absolutely outstanding, so polite and cater to your every needs, also the activities staff, especially Carlos and Manuel, were very enthusiastic and friendly, always making sure that guests were entertained and having fun. Great location right by the sea and also a 2 minute walk to the strip that had plenty of shops and restaurants. Would definitely come again and recommend to everyone! Thank you so much Gran Porto for making our holiday a memorable one!
"Family vacation"
Our stay at this hotel has been fantastic so far. Not our first visit but we keep coming back. My daughter's love the pool and entertainment! Cesar and Carlos from the entertainment team are tons of fun and get the guests moving with fun activities. The girls from the kids club are adored by my daughter's who love spending hot afternoon hours cooling off with their fun activities. The shows and music at night are always fun to watch and the service is always impeccable! This is about our 6th time here and we definitely plan on coming back again! Thanks Carlos and Cesar!

Activity staff (Carlos and Cesar) were extremely engaging and enthusiastic about making sure everyone was having an enjoyable time. They were always friendly and chatty with guests, making jokes and having a laugh, which added to our experience. Definitely the best activities duo around.
"Great holiday"
We had such a nice time at Gran Porto. Reading the reviews before we went, I really didn't know what to expect.And what a nice surprise we had. Everything , from the airport to the resort and back to the airport a week later worked really around the clock.At the hotel we were given the option to upgrade to an ocean view room,which we did, and we had spectacular views everyday. The room was spotless and very well maintained. We've tried only 3 of the restaurants and Albatros is the one which worked for us. Great food variety, for every taste. Every evening they had a show at 8 pm and they were pretty good. Outside, the pool was clean and at Gaviota you can have any drink you want. This added a plus to our vacation with us staying by the pool and enjoying the great entertainment programme which Cesar and Carlos put together everyday. They were brilliant.Although Cesar had a bad cold and Carlos had sunburn on his nose( hope that sunscreen helped you Carlos) they kept their smile on their faces all the time and made us feel very well. Thank you guys and keep up with your good job. Overall, we had a very nice holiday, made possible by the nice staff from the hotel.

We have been traveling around the world for over 50 years and can put the courtesy shown and services provided by the staff of the hotel as some of the best we have experienced in our many travels. Of special note was the turn down service provided by Nelsy Ciau. Hands down her qualify work was the best either of us have experienced in over 50 years of traveling. We will go back for future vacations. Even though the Gran Porto is listed as a "family resort" versus adult resort we fully enjoyed our stay. Maybe next time we will try The Royal which is the adult section across the street owned by the same operation
