"Great apartments, great location"
This is the 2nd Christmas my friend and I have spent here, great apartments with full facilities including washing machine and dishwasher its a real home from home.
We love the fact that we can walk to Fuengirolla or just use public transport. The beach is easily accessible and there is lots of activities and entertainment on the complex. Something for everyone.
We have tried other places, but always end up back here. Easy to get to from Airport using local train service. Will definitely visit again. Highly recommended.
"A gem of a place"
We have stayed on the resort 3 times now and cannot speak highly enough of the cleanliness, friendliness and standards. Whether it's the cleaning lady, reception staff, train driver or porters everyone goes that extra mile to make your stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible. If we have had a problem ie the air con not working, a maintenance man was ringing the door bell before we put the phone down to reception! It is a large resort and it is hilly but the train can take you around the whole place without you having to walk anywhere, there's even a tunnel to the beach which the train can drop you off to. It's a 15 minute walk to the shopping mall if you enjoy walking or the buses to the mall or to Malaga are reliable and cheap.
"comfortable clean apartments"
Stayed for one week, no need for transfer to Club La Costa as the train is just as convenient from the airport around 3 euro each single to Fuengirola. Apartments are very clean and comfortable with everything you need including washing machine. There is a main area which has a kids pool and a larger pool which is heated where all the main activites take place during the day, but just around the corner if you use your swipe card you can enter a quieter pool area which is very nice. We stayed in an apartment which overlooked the restuarant which had the riding school and stables beside it. There is a supermarket just on the slop for everything you need if self catering at a reasonable price. The restaurant/bar by the main pool has happy hour each day which we only discovered 2 days prior to leaving - shame. There is a nice bar down the hill called the pondarosa which serves meals and has a pool table. You can walk into Fuengirola if you walk over the pedestrian bridge onto the sea front, there are a few bars on the way, or just by the pedestrian bridge there is a bus stop .
"Very good."
Our apartment (30A) had a garden with table, chairs and 2 sun loungers. Inside has everything you could require including washing machine and toaster. Everything is spotlessly clean, not even a crumb in the toaster. We even had BBC 1 and ITV on the telly. It's an easy walk to Fuengirola playa. A taxi from the train station in Fuengirola to this complex costs about 13 euro. The only downside I can see is that the complex is hilly so may not be suitable to some, although a road train runs round at times. Would we go again? Definitely, without any doubt.
"Another lovely week on Mijas Costa"
We have been Vacation Club members since 2002 and regularly visit CLC World sites but our favourite is the one on Mijas Costa. We booked a last minute week away, just myself and hubby, were allocated a studio apartment in San Diego Suites.
The apartment was clean and well laid out, making good use of the available space. There were sufficient amenities (kitchenette with 2 ring hob; combination microwave/grill; bathroom with shower/bath, WC & bidet; good size balcony; comfortable queen sized bed; dining table with 2 seats both indoors and out) Apart from a technical problem with the washing machine (which was sorted out proficiently by the Maintenance Team), all went swimmingly, efficient & friendly check-in, regular trash collection from the apartment, clean linen three times and cleaning twice.
The on site staff were friendly, courteous, helpful and well turned out. The resort grounds were immaculate and well groomed. We frequented the poolside Sunrise Bar on a few occasions in the early evenings. The "entertainment" was along the lines of a northern working mens club style but the performers were enthusiastic enough! :)
We did not hire a car, used the RENFE train service to and from Fuengirola/ Malaga airport; travelled between the resort and Fuengirola on the local Portillo bus service (across the main road, near the beach restaurant). This worked very well.
"In the middle of nowhere"
You need to be a good walker to stay here or have plenty of money for taxis. The rooms are fantastic. Very modern with full air conditioning, nice welcome pack on arrival with essentials. The free "train" around the complex helps as the supermarket is right in the bottom corner. Only went to "Zacary's" bar once. Don't like my drinks slammed down at me and hate been ignored until it was time to pay and give a tip!
"Club la costa"
Had a lovely week in a very well equiped apartment with sea view from each window.
We had help with our luggage to and from apartment
Staff very nice. Liked sams pantry zacks menu much improved good breckfast
Nice walk across millenium bridge into town
Love our trip up mountain to mijas
"Excellent"
Just returned from 2 weeks at Club la Costa staying at 126 marina del sol. It was a one bedroom studio and the view from the private balcony was fantastic. It overlooks the sea. The whole 2 weeks were just amazing. I would highly recommend.
"Our wonderful wedding!"
We stayed in the san diego apartments at the calefornia suites side of the resort and I can't speak highly enough of club la costa and all the staff there. We got married in the garden behind the sunset bar and everything was taken care of by Aine. Not only did she fulfill all our requests but went completely above and beyond to make our day perfect. Our wedding breakfast was in the safari restaurant, we met with jimmy the chef before hand and he promised us a feast, and he diddnt dissapoint! The food was out of this world and nothing was a bother for all the staff involved. The waiter, salvador was so helpful and friendly and we even had a dance together in the evening. The entertainment was brilliant a perfect day to remember forever. Our apartment was spotless and facilities great. The resort as a whole is clean and well kept and the staff are so friendly and helpful, we have a three year old son and they always stopped to speak to him and high five!. I would definitely recommend this resort as I could not fault it if I tried.thank toy so much club la costa ypy made our week perfect! :-)
"Lovely stay"
We had this as a promotional freebie and -apart from the 6 hour 'timeshare by another name' sales pitch - we had a great stay. Lovely one bedroomed apartment in Sierra Marina area, nice views, lovely helpful, staff. The pool was quiet and clean, the apartment was spotless and comfortably furnished with, everything we needed for our self catering stay.
"Back again and loving it!"
Returning for our second visit this year we have again enjoyed the superb accomodation and excellent facilities. The resort is so well managed and maintained. Nothing is too much trouble for management and staff. This time we discovered El Tajo restaurant. Wonderful real food, beautifully presented and prepared. Sad to leave, but looking forward to our return.
"wonderful"
We stayed in a apartment of this resort complete with every comfort. The staff was kind, helpful and impeccable. This resort was well cared in every detail. Inside the resort there is a supermarket that bakes daily bread and delicious croissants. Unforgettable!
"Superb Villas"
This a long-established timeshare resort. However, it is impeccably maintained and Club la Costa run a very slick operation. Go for a promotional week---the sacrifice of one morning attending a very impressive marketing presentation is well worth the effort.
This is the third time we have visited this resort and we have enjoyed it and surrounding areas more each time. We have discovered new places and experiences during each subsequent visit. Our kids loved the swimming pools, beaches (although the stand is more grey and gravelly, rather than white and powdery) and the Spanish villages.
"Great family holiday"
Lovely resort with everything u need to have a great family holiday. Friendly staff, good accommodation, great location. Would recommend a trip to Mijas old town, the local market at es Cala and a trip to Marbella old town. We will go again!!
"Amazing Place - Loved Every Day and it was HOT"
We have just come back from this place and have to say it was amazing.. we were sceptical at 1st as never done one of these before.
The apartment we had was a 2 bed one in Marina Del Sol section, beautiful building, 3 mins from reception with 2 different pools over looking the sea.
We were 2 adults and 2 kids, 9 and 5 and boy did they love it. In the mornings they would just run outside into the garden and jump in the pools.
Things to do -
theres not much to do around the resort itself apart from chill and relax.
We thought Safari restaurant was ok. Went for a evening meal.. nothing special.
Go in to Fuengirola for food, u would be surprised.. we ate every night at a different place.. make sure you go to Mezza its a Lebanese restaurant full of grilled meat.. YUMMY
However, if you want to explore, go outside of the resort, walk down the hill at reception and u can go the beach, go over the blue bridge and u can walk into Fuengirola within 6-7 mintues plus it is such a beautiful walk along the beach,,
We used to walk there about 7ish and see all the beach buzzing with families having BBQ's etc.
Truly beautiful scenery.
Fuengirola is awesome, so many restaurants, shops, and the streets are buzzing, as it gets dark the party starts.
We also went to the 2 water parks, the better one is Aqualand.. so much fun and the water rides are fun. Kids did not want to leave.. the hotel does excursions every Friday.
Theres a Mexican restaurant on way to the beach, 2 mins away cant remember the exact name begins with P is nice, looks shabby but nice food.
We also took a cab to Mijas... u must go here.. its a beautiful little place up in the mountains.. kids did donkey rides there and it was fun.
Is quite a hilly place but they do have a train which takes you around the huge resort.
Kids really loved the kids club.
Overall highly recommended.. def go again.
"Very nice"
Stayed here with my family for a week, as part of a promotion. Part of a timeshare deal, but can be booked as an ordinary hotel. Service and apartments were very good. Clean throughout. All members of staff were very helpful. As it's a timeshare, you tend to find families or couples staying here and not your usual holidaymakers.
"Short Break"
Club la costa great apartment fantastic Veiw from ours lots of pools to play around in and not to busy in them so your able to enjoy the relax. Would be great for family's with small children but would need to be supervised near the pools as not all pools have life guards. Apartment close to the beach only a short walk. But beware you need to be reasonably fit as there are lots of steps to negotiate down to the beach then of course lots of steps back up.
Sales reps do try to sell you a package but to be fair you can so no as I did.
"great time."
Just returned from a promotional week at club la Costa, accommodation was a two bedroomed town house at marina del sold, accommodation was fab, very smart and decor was lovely with the added bonus of air con, choice of three pools which were great for my daughter, the few bars and places to eat were slightly over priced but good quality, the sales pitch was long long day but v interesting.... Overall a very pleasant week.... One good tip is eat at the big chinese next to the mirimar!!!! Fantastic food !
"Wonderful stay"
Just come back from my weeks holiday with my partner, mum in law 3 boys aged 10.12 and 14. We all had a fantastic time especially as I couldn't walk around so the jacuzzi in the garden was a fantastic feature for me. Also there is a train that goes around the vast complex so that was a great bonus as you could got on and off where you pleased. Plenty of places to eat. Only downside was had to have 2 taxis to get anywhere as complex not close enough to any shops or places of interest.place clean and we'll maintained.my only critisim is I wish the apartment towels were changed more often.
"Loved this resort"
Stayed for 2 wks at this resort. Family of five. 2 girls 9&17 and one boy 14,my husband and I. We all loved it there. So relaxing and also plenty for the kids to do if they want to. Great location Excellent bus service 5 mins away so didn't find car hire necessary. We all want to return next year. Very clean pools and beautiful gardens constantly being maintainedWe weren't on a promotional trip.
