WOW, this was the first time my adult daughter vacationed out of the country with me. Memories Grand Bahama Island Resort was exactly what we needed -- beautiful resort, pristine beach, nice pool, amazing food, cocktails, staff and bartenders. The most relaxing vacation ever. Straw market right across the street. We truly could not have asked for more - we will return at least once a year. Also, what a friendly safe island - loved it!!

"Location location location"
March may have been may lol....We visited this property twice...and plan to return! It's older and some areas could use a bit of renovation but still well attended to. Our room was clean and had a terrific view of the beach and water. The beach area was kept clean with lots of palapa and loungers and had a nice selection of non motorized sporting equipment. Good food in the beach snack bar and a coffee shop/barista for snacks and cappuccino/latte'. The staff in the restaurants (Japanese and steakhouse) were attentive and the food very good... The buffet had a wide variety of foods for all meals. Great staff throughout the hotel.... Golf course in good shape close by with free green fees but mandatory cart rental, 50$ and you're good there. Lots of shopping and other restaurants just across the street from the resort. Very well designed play area for the kids.. Lots of activities for the adults. Easy spot to return to!
"A Great Family Resort"
This hotel is pretty good. It does need an update. The staff are nice and the place is clean. The bar service is very SLOW! The food is good. The entertainment is ok, a little amateur. The kids water park is great. The beach is right there! Gym is very small,not enough equipment.

Really nice beach and excellent service from the staff. The golfing is included, but be prepared for the golf cart fee mandatory by the golf course. $$. was about $95 us for two. The golf course is in great shape.
"Relaxing Slow Pace Island Vacation"
Good People, Good Food, Good Vacation. Been here 2 years in a row. Small resort but nice beach vacation. Just enough to do, and just large enough to have all the amenities. Beach, restaurants, bars, etc. all very short walks. Shopping Market directly across the street. Best Coconut Daquiri in a coconut shell I have ever had at the market!
"Groupon vacation PERFECT"
We purchased this four (4) night all inclusive with flight from Newark. the charter plain Sungwing was waiting for us at Newark, terminal B. Bahamas was great, The service going in was great, we got glass of of sparkling wine and snack as welcome token, Coming back - no Champagne, run out of some premium liquor (thought airlines want to make money). Management: Running out of paid items will lower your profits. We traveled for my husband birthday September 26 to 29, 2016. Decided to upgrade to Diamond Club - the best decision we made. We had our own beach, padded lounge chairs, cabana beds, and personal service on the beach. NEXI was the best; Nexi and Stephan took care of us and treated us with the up most attention., the Diamond Club give you many perks: separate lounge with premium liqueurs, separate breakfast restaurant with mimosas and table services, butler service where they will offer separate (no line check in/checkout), reservation to any specialty restaurants. the hotel is older for spotless and service is great. Most important, as someone mentioned before, make sure to tip according to service; we tipped well and everyone new us and serviced us like royals. We will love to come back
"Best family Xmas vacation ever"
Such a great resort for young families. We enjoyed the kids waterslide and pool area, beach area was great for lounging in the sun and playing in the water. Restaurants were short waits and friendly staff, decent food options and lots of good drink options. Staff was always very accommodating when it came to warming up milk for our son or giving up hot water, etc. Shallow pool area was an awesome place to meet other young families and it was right next to the pool bar. Amenities weren't super packed but we found enough to do. Surprisingly the Italian restaurant had the worst service and wasn't very warm to us having our 18 month son with us, even though every other restaurant was fantastic with us. We tipped lots and were always very patient with the buffet staff and in return they "found" us ripe bananas and strawberry yogurt cups for our son. Neighbouring private resort had a great boardwalk type area that we enjoyed strolling through. Sunwing lost our son's suitcase for 3 days but the hotel was very accommodating and the sunwing staff on the lower floor was helpful as well. We wandered across the street to the public square for entertainment and some "local" eats. The steakhouse restaurant was worth the wait. The beach side cafe was great for quick eats and drinks and a clean washroom. We never really had a server come talk to us in our beach chairs, but that didn't bother us as we didn't mind going to the cafe. All in all it was a very good resort and made our first "family" vacation a huge success.
"You can't beat this place for the price"
Stayed at Memories for my birthday and bought the trip off of Groupon. I was concerned after reading the reviews but my boyfriend and I had nothing to complain about at all! The beach area was beautiful and there are two restaurants where you can dine and look out on the water. I would recommend it to anyone. They even had a bottle of champagne delivered to my room on my birthday!
"Mother-Daughter 1st Bahama Vacation"

"Overall experience"
Hotel staff were exceptional in all aspects. However I found that the extra for changing rooms was a bit excessive. I paid 135.92$ US for a room on ground level and was satisfied on average. However in view of tnhe fact that we were evacuated during the third night I would like to know who should reimbourse the difference for the rest of the week.
"First Groupon vacation"
Was very skeptical of the whole deal straight from take off. Not only did we travel to Newark and left the car at the long term parking lot but I have never heard of Sunwing Airlines. It was a great direct flight to Freeport. Took a cab from the airport which was cheaper than any prearranged transports offered with the deal. Arrived at the hotel and was shocked. Hotel looked amazing. Only downfall was our room and the $150 resort credit offered. It wasn't cash given to you, it was a booklet with deals. One was a room upgrade which we tried for 2 nights and no upgrades were available. Second was for a massage which still came to a ridiculous amount so we never signed up. Whole trip is absolutely worth every penny. Only downfall was the actual room. Smelled a little moldy like wet clothes but with the right ac setting it was barely noticeable. Restaurants in the resort were shocking crazy good. You have to make reservation to the hibachi place for a table as the only restaurant. If not sushi is available without reservations and so is steak and the catch of the day. Was greatly surprised at the quality of the food and never expected it to be this good. Highly recommended and will probably do again if the same deal is up again.
"June vacation"
Came alone to relax and enjoy the sun, sand and beautiful blue waters and that I did. Enjoyed the food & drinks. The room was clean , no complaints. The food in the buffet changed every day and was good, not fancy. The staff worked hard to please. Check- in was busy so bring your bathing suit in a carry on till your room is ready. This is a family oriented resort , so as a solo traveler I felt comfortable. Enjoyed being across the street from the Market Place.
"October Vacation"
Great family vacation. Staff was friendly. Food was decent, especially the Steak House (H) . If I have to find a negative, it's the night time entertainment. There's nothing to do after dinner. Otherwise, I have no complaints. We enjoyed ourselves and the price was great!

Excellent vacation we had a great time if it goes on groupon again I would bring my family and friends next time .The rooms were nice but the bathroom is a little small nowhere to put all of your stuff. But overall is was a nice vacation.
"first ever vacation"
the resort was fantastic, staff was amazing and kind. the overall trip was very good except it was cut short due to hurricane matthew. even with this terrible event the staff was very accommodating and very helpful in guiding us in what to do.

My fiance and I had a very enjoyable experience it was definitely one to remember, I highly recommend it. The front desk service was very nice and helpful, the food was very delicious and the bed was very comfortable did not squeak hint hint loll wink
"Retirement, Anniversary, Birthdays Celebration"
Nice place, friendly staff. Had all we needed. Unfortunately we didnt get the room we paid for facing the ocean but rather overlooking the service area. You might think 500 pounds of bacon smells good in the morning. It does not. They were either unable to accommodate or wouldn't after a couple of attempts. In any event, we had a good time, were able to smoke on the balcony and there was a casino on site (the only one but we did ok). Will try other Bahama locations in the future.
"Amazing Memories!"
We stayed for a week at the Memories resort and had the time of our lives! Food was fantastic, at every restaurant we ate at. Service was quick and always friendly. The resort was clean, and the rooms were sufficient. The beach is absolutely breathtaking! We met wonderful people and made friends with many of the workers at the resort. Mama Bee was the life of the party during the day, and made sure everyone was having a great time. Lionel and Cor at the swim up bar kept us all hydrated and smiling. Our vacation was made extra special by a wonderful lady named Stephanie from the Prop Club. She was fantastic in every possible way. Her upbeat attitude and service was something my husband and I looked forward to everyday. Stephanie went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable during our Packer and Barcelona game, and put up with our rowdy behavior. Lol! We will miss her so much! We cannot wait to be back at Memories to enjoy another vacation!

Very nice resort, great for families or couples. The food was great especially at the resort restaurants. There is lots to do at the resort as well as on the island. The staff was very helpful in fulfilling requests and concerns.

A great location and good amenities. Room and washrooms need updating. Good beach. Smooth check-in. Minerva and her associate were bubbly and courteous at the coffee shop. Recommended for a relaxing vacation.

This property truly strives to be special. It is perfect. The rooms and facility are spotless and themed for the Alpine feel. It is a place you want to return to again. The staff members are so friendly it makes you feel at home.
"Nice stay"
We stayed over Easter weekend and went to Avalanche Bay with our kids 11 and 9. We purchased the package with breakfast and water park. We got free entry to the water park the night before and the day we left. Our kids really liked the hotel indoor/outdoor pool too. It was much warmer water than Avalanche Bay! The breakfast buffet was very good and filling. The room had one bed (seemed like a double) with a pull out couch. Also a gas fireplace that worked but didn't give off much heat. Bathroom was large with jetted tub. Room was very clean. There were activities for the kids, story time, movies at night, but we did not participate. Our kids did do the Easter egg hunt which was fun.
