"Love, love, love- better than before!"
We are here on our final night of a 5 night trip. Everything and everyone has been wonderful. We stayed here in 2009 and enjoyed it but even better now. Front desk staff was great and had us in our updated room within 15 minutes. Tiki bartenders friendly and professional. Breakfast buffet staff nice but food was a little boring after 2 days. Kitchen 305 food and drinks were good. We had surf and turf and cheeseburger first night. Prime rib tonight. All staff really hustles and are friendly. Make reservations if you are here on Wednesday for all you can eat lobster. We didn't rent a car this time. Cab from FLL was $75 but used concierge for return shuttle trip. $50
Shopping across the street for supplies. Do not go to Epicure for liquor! Shop next to papa Johna for better prices. Reasonable souvenirs at wings. Great location for walking on the beach and just relaxing. Enjoyed pool side room more than ocean front. Looking forward to coming back!
"ultimate girls getaway"
just got back from an amazing girls getaway in miami. leading up and planning the trip was a doozy -- trying to please 8 girls is just asking for trouble, however stumbling upon newport beachside hotel was a pleasant surprise! the price was right, it had every requirement that each girl wanted and did i say the price was right, it was the best hotel out of all the other possibilites we had found in the area. arriving at the hotel and checking in was a breeze, they made sure we got rooms next to each other. the views are so pretty. the pool and beach was where we spent most of the time at. the spa was great about fitting us all in for treatments, so relaxing -- to me it's not a vacation unless a massage is included! however, as much as i liked all of the above, i was really surprised about the in house restaurant, kitchen305 -- they had so many great specials even better ones for us ladies. i'm talking drink and food and entertainment too! the sad part was we left on a wednesday which is when they have an all-you-can-eat lobster special, but no worries i will be back there for sure!
"Fabulous Vacation Place"
have been searching for hotels with great deals, and i came across this one the Newport beach side hotel, and this particular place caught my attention with there prices,so I arrived at this hotel around 2 pm and saw this beautiful lobby. My impression was fascinated at the start of my vacation , and the check in policy was great, my room was ready the lady at the front desk was very polite and professional. The bellman took my bags to my room, and he was telling me about all the insight of the hotel, and what the room was consist of. His customer service was excellent.I had a renovated ocean view room with a plasma tv. oak wood dressers, and a king side bed, the room was beautiful. I walked around the hotel when i got settled in and i saw the dining areas, the pool/bar/beach was honestly very clean and there was alot of families in the beach/pool side. I went to the bar and everyone is so polite with great customer service skills.I felt like a VIP Guest. I went to the spa for a massage, and it felt great. The spa there is always busy and the ambiance was amazing. I then ate dinner at kitchen 305 and they had a special that night on Wednesday it was lobster night, and there was so many people there. That place always have specials. This hotel is always busy, and the staff here is what makes this place run. They all are quite amazing... Truth be told my hotel experience was great the check out policy was fast, and efficient, and i had no problems. I RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO EVERYONE WHO GOES TO MIAMI. I am DEFINITELY STAYING HERE ALL THE TIME WHEN I COME TO MIAMI.
"Good value for money"
Stayed here for 6 days in Dec 2013. I didn't have any problems with check in or the rooms. To be honest I was dreading it after reading all the reviews but, we had a Ocean view room as booked with a queen size bed and a pull out double bed. A kitchenette, including a small fridge, a microwave, plates and cutlery. The rooms were cleaned daily and I found the staff to be friendly. There are laundry facilities, a gym and a spa in the hotel basement. The hotel is close to shops and supermarkets and you can also use a free shuttle bus from outside the supermarket to the shopping malls (Bal Harbour and Aventura mall), we discovered this ourselves. There were also bus stops close by that go to South beach (takes around 45 mins) and the bell men were more than happy to order taxis etc... There is a small tourist shop in the lobby as well as a jewelry shop, a bar/restaurant (kitchen 305) and a cafe for sandwiches and drinks throughout the day. The pool is small and basic but there is a poolside cafe, serving food and drinks and there was live music throughout the day times. The beach is kept clean and was beautiful.
"Newport Beachside Hotel Resort a place of comfort"
My Stay at the Newport Beachside Hotel and Resort
The Hotel Desk Manager Michelle Theodule is the best
first time writing a review for anything, I felt it was important to give credit to a beautiful place, and a great staff. Lets start with the front desk manager Michelle T. She gives superb service and makes sure you are happy and comfortable. The place is clean, and the staff provides fast service, Its right on the beach, and the pool is never crowded. Bus stop is in front of hotel that runs 24/7, across the street, their is a Enterprise car rental, Drug store, and lots of restaurants prime location.
When you go to Newport Beachside Resort be prepared to relax, and enjoy yourself.
Inside the hotel there is a quaint jewelry Store in the lobby, they have great deals. They have a Restaurant called Kitchen 305 Hmmm! The food is first class, they also have great entertainment. I loved the wide range of breakfasts available to hotel guests each day: I systematically traveled to Miami, for the price the on the beach its a no brainier to stay here. I do recommend that you get to the hotel early so you can get a prime location in the hotel. The Manager Michelle Theodule will constantly speak to you, and ask how everything is going. When she says it she is very sincere, also the staff make it their mission for you to be comfortable..
But everyone at the Newport Beachside Resort really was outstanding helpful and I can't praise them enough.
My week was too short, the weather was good and I was able to spend quality thinking time away from the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles.
I hope to return to Newport Beachside Hotel Resort again the following year. I shall certainly add a few extra days for leisure at the Hotel and bring my friends with me.
I shall of course book in again
"Awesome Location"
I spent three days here for birthday. Paid for a standard rate but because it was my birthday they upgraded us to a suite as well as an on arrival glass of wine. We had a veiw of the ocean and buffet breakfast was included in our rate. It is located right on the beach. It's located about 20min to South Beach and about 15 min to the Aventura Mall. They have a great fine dinning restaurant with music playing on certain days. It's a full service hotel so whatever you need or want, they have or can get for you. Valet was very fast and our bellman Mario was great in giving us ideas for entertainment etc. I can't wait to go back. I work at a luxury hotel in Orlando so I am kind of picky. I was very happy here and you will too !
"Fantastic"
You will not be disappointed staying at the Newport Beachside Hotel. My family and I have been staying here for years and have always had a wonderful experience. The hotel is always making improvements and provides its guest with attention and respect.
The front desk is pleasant, respectful and attentive to your needs. The front desk manager, Michelle T. is always available if you should need. The Lobby is beautiful and well maintained. The coffee shop, gift shop and small boutiques allow you to indulge without leaving the hotel. The poolside is well kept and towel service is provided. Access to the beach is effortless. Cabana's and beach chairs are available throughout the day. The beach area is quiet and well maintained. Overall, a lovely, enjoyable experience on the beach, close to dining and shopping. A perfect vacation spot!
"My stay was one of the best experience ."
I loved everything about my stay. From day one I had good service and the best view from my room. The lobster dinner was one off the best I have tasted with a great price . The Front desk was one of the best that I have dealt they were very pilot and helpful. I will soon come again A+++. Deserve 5 stars .
"Girls Getaway"
What a nice relaxing hotel and a beautiful view of the ocean! As I walked in the room, I was amazed at the cleanliness and the spa like feel of the room. The beds had crisp, clean sheets and were incredibly comfortable. I could not have had a better room. This is the place to stay in Sunny Isle!
"Newport Beach Resort for Non-Stop fun, affordable oceanfront luxury"
If you love great beaches, wonderful service, modern/clean facilities, flawless staff, guest services priority treatment, gourmet/budget-friendly food and beverage and all-day/all-night excitement and fun, the Newport Beach Hotel & Resort in the Sunny Isles beaches area of Miami is exactly what you want and need. No matter what kind of event you want -- mini vacation, wedding, reunion, mental health getaway -- this is the place. Everything is so easy to arrange and so simple to enjoy.
We held our 45th annual high school reunion (Miami Norland Senior High) last weekend at the Newport -- and it was sensational. The location is without peer: Atlantic Ocean-front. The catering of all three of our events was flawless: delicious, plentiful food and great diverse drinks -- and, reasonable prices for our group. They provided a great room rate for our attendees -- and they're willing to work with you to ensure you get everything just as you want it, even down to helping you with great suggestions for menus -- and on decisions like "sit down dinner service" or "scrumptious buffet" for your group. I need to mention again: Amazing service.
I would give special praise to Tammy Malamud, the best staff exec we've ever worked at any hotel for a big event. Tammy was our first and best point of contact for helping to plan our entire event for 60 people. I'm sure she's worked with much larger groups -- but she treated us as if we were the most important event in town -- in every meeting or long-distance phone call for the advanced planning. Over the period of several months, she was always responsive -- and properly pro-active in reminding me, politely, of various decisions, deadlines and opportunities to enhance our events for the reunion. We also appreciated the work on the entire staff -- with special additional shout outs to Lance Detotto, for helping arrange our great guest room rate, and the catering leaders of Vladimir and Anna, who anticipated our every need for the opening reception, poolside barbeque and our closing cocktail party/dinner/dance. The international accent of this catering staff added a touch of intrigue and elegance even to a simple reunion.
I've never worked with a hotel that was so completely customer friendly and service oriented in every aspect of our visit and event. We liked it so much that we 'gave away' a door prize of a three-day/two-night stay at the Newport.
But all of us will be winners when we likely hold our next reunion -- which will be much bigger -- at the Newport in five years. But many of us are not going to wait that long. We plan to return with spouses, friends, in smaller groups -- to continue to enjoy this jewel in the crown of the more affordable and beautiful northern beach-side parts of Miami-Dade County. Check it out....Visit just one time -- and you'll be back, again and again. The hotel pool and deck are very large -- so there's as much room to swim there, nearly, as there is in the just-steps-away Atlantic.
The "305 Kitchen" restaurant is so good, locals eat there, every night...and the spa is a place you could envision spending lots of relaxing time....
"Excellent budget Miami accommodation"
I wasn't expecting too much after reading the reviews here but I was pleasantly surprised. The location first of all is really cool. The beach is really nice and the sea is calm and stunningly beautiful. A big plus is the jetty that can be accessed until late at night ($2 entrance fee) which offers a stunning view on the Sunny Isles skyline, especially during the night. If you're a photographer this is the place to be. The rooms were clean and smelled fresh. Downside was that ours didn't have a balcony, so spend a few bucks more for a sea view room. The lobby has a pleasant vibe to it. Pools are nice. Across the street you'll find some restaurants. All in all we had a great time at Newport and I would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to have a taste of Miami at an affordable rate.
"Katie K"
My friend and I spent the weekend there for a girls getaway. The experience was wonderful, the rooms were beautiful over looking the ocean. Everything was extremely clean and fresh. The room was decorated for relaxation and had deep tubs with jets. Bathroom extremely clean with plenty of fresh towels and linens made it feel spa like. Service and housekeeping were excellent. Breakfast was great, good selection. I will continue to vacation at this hotel with friends and family and highly recommend this hotel.
"family vacation/dolphin game"
Upon first look everything seemed very nice but after staying a few nights started seeing some flaws. Most staff very friendly. Housekeeping didn't change sheets. Who is watching the pool? Kids running wild. Perfect location for dolphin fans to go to Sunlife Stadium. Walk 100 yards across the street for food and drinks. Don't pay hotels overpriced rates. Brought kids 7 and 9 had a great time at beach and pool. Beach was cleaned every morning. Would stay again due to price and location to stadium and beach. Valet parking was $20 a day if you traveled with automobile otherwise no charge. We lucked out and got room for cheap price, had bad flight but was nicely upgraded to ocean view. Spa under repair. Didn't eat breakfast at hotel everything so expensive at least for us. Beef up on your Spanish!
"Great Location, Night Life and Close to Miami and Fort Lauderdale"
Husband and I stayed the week through our travel club. Room was spacious and clean with a microwave, refrigerator, bar counter with sink; standing height counter between bed and pull out couch and coffee table; view of the ocean from our side room; deep tub with jets was a plus. The pool was really nice and clean with a seperate kiddy pool and plenty of tables and seating areas around. Tiki bar was open most of day and right beside pool. Pool open til 10pm. Restautant/Bar 306 had great night life and happy hours, especially free drinks for the ladies at certain times. Pier out into Ocean is free for resort guests. Huts right between ocean and resort. Had to pay for parking across street $15 per day. Would definety stay again. Weather was great!
"Stay here all the time"
I am an attorney based in New York City. Every year, in late winter, and, like this year, an additional one or two time, I stay in one of the comfortable double suites at this hotel.
Since I often travel with my older mother and two friends, having one area with two bathrooms, including a walk in shower, two bedrooms, a kitchen area and a social area including a Murphy bed makes for a comfortable stay for our group.
The rooms also have terraces which overlook the ocean or the bay and/or the swimming pool which we love to lounge on while we are at the hotel.
The relatively recent addition of the Aveda spa only makes our stay that much more comfortable and enjoyable.
Capping all of this is the attention provided by the staff of the hotel, most especially Michelle Theodule, the front desk manager, who has always been accessible and accommodating to me and my fellow travellers and who assures that our stay at this property is maximized.
"This place is awsome."
Upon, arrival at the newport, I was received by a great valet team, specially javier. He was very precise in answering all my concerns with parking and such. Walking into the lobby, I felt like I was in a oasis. Minature palm trees with a nice Caribbean flavor and very customer service oriented personal awaits. Pooldeck is beautiful, the beach is crystal clear, and the new peer is to die for. Definately coming back for my next year vacation. I just hope that when I do come back, I can be greated by the four managers that keep this place alive.
"Best time ever for our Wedding."
My wife and I had our wedding ceremony and reception here at Newport Beach Resort. We can honestly say we had the best time ever. Abby was our event planner and she was on top of things since day one (we only gave her a week to plan this event!) She gave us the assurance that everything was going to be taken care and she did as promised and even more. Just when we were coming out to get married we had rain, she quickly moved the staff to a "Plan B" inside room and in just in about 15 minutes we were getting married and had a great time as well. The level of professionalism and care was top notch, and certainly made everything a lot easier for us. Our food was incredible, we are so happy with the end result that cant wait to get back. All of our family and friends will remember this day as a perfect and beautiful evening. We are very thankful.
"Always a great time!!"
We have been vacationing at the Newport Beachside Resort for about 15 years now. We love the location and the fact that it's reasonably priced. The hospitality of the employees is genuine, especially Michelle and Amos! They go out of their way to make our stay extremely enjoyable. We plan on returning to the Newport for many years to come!
"Fantastic Time!!!!"
We had our destination 20th anniversary wedding at the Newport Beachside Resort. We were taken care of since the time we made our reservation and spoke to the awesome wedding planner, and began planning our wedding/vacation. The amazing staff and special thanks to the Director of the Front Office - this crew was the best I've encountered EVER! Beautiful amenities.....onsite Tiki Bar, Restaurant, fitness center, and spectacular SPA! And of course, being located right on the BEACH :) Great family environment...and not to far from South Beach for the adult fun. Can't wait til our return!!!!!!
"Great family vacay but lacked a few things."
We spent 2 nights here before going on a cruise. The rooms appear to be recently updated and the lobby is very inviting. The rest of the hotel needs a facelift to match the rooms and lobby. Especially the elevators.
The beach and pool are very clean and enjoyable. Not too crowded.
It is a very short walk to some restaraunts and shops. But no great dining/night life close by.
However, it was only a 30 minute drive to the infamous South Beach.
And room service stops at 10 pm. We got back late from south beach; 11:00 is late with 3 kids. And we had to order deserts at the bar...which at that time was pretty hopping! The server said it would be a while since the kitchen was backed up and they agreed to bring it to my room. Which was very accommodating.
Overall.. We would certainly come again.
"Beautiful property"
Beautiful condo's in the center of everything! We had a 3 bedroom condo backing up to the golf course; we are not golfers, but could sit on the balcony and watch them play. The property was very well kept, the staff friendly, and the pools were extremely clean! We were there to go to the convention center and it was only a few blocks away. Our condo was very clean and comfortable; plenty of room for 5 ladies travelling together, Off season prices were extremely good!
