"Great Weekend"
The gondola to the mountain is right out side the hotel. A lot of great restaurants and market in walking distance. Also an ice skating area across the street. The hotel is beautiful and the staff is awesome. Will be going back.

Beautiful room great skiing and views!! Best ski season outdoor pool! Highly recommend! We will be back! Welk resorts are top notch! You will not be disappointed! Great village center with Ice skating shops restaurants and live music apres ski!
"Calm before the storm"
I stayed at the Northstar Lodge last week. We intended on snowboarding during our trip but there wasn’t enough snow. What can you do though? #cantcontrolmothernature There were 3 adults in our group. We rented a 2 bedroom condo for about 5 days and it was perfect. There was more than enough room for us. Each room had a king bed and the living room had a pull out couch which my friend said was pretty comfortable. There is a full size kitchen which came in handy. We bought groceries on our way in from Reno and stocked up for breakfast and misc snacks. The full size fridge was awesome to store our wine, beer, leftovers and wine. ???? One thing we would’ve done different is explore the property more. Our room was located next to the swimming pool/fitness center. Our last night we wandered over to the next building and found a ping pong table, fire pit, another jacuzzi and a gondola lift that takes you up the mountain and to the adjacent Ritz Carlton. Tips/Note: *buy snacks, drinks and some groceries! Truckee and the Village stores tend to close early so having good and drinks on hand is helpful *The Village has a Starbucks, a couple restaurants and clothing stores. Didn’t see any convenience type stores though. *Old Town Truckee is a few minutes away. If you’re looking for a restaurant, try Jax.
"PERFECT FOR STAYCATION"
The hotel itself >Is within a village and so there's a skating rink, theatre, shopping stores, and bonfire. This place would be even more perfect during Christmas season (like those you see in movies)! >There were alot of activities in this place EVERYDAY (see pictures) In addition to hotel amenities such as skating, skiing, gondola, etc. the later were closed since we went there during low season and there was no snow (not sure about the activities) however, it was still perfect because we get to enjoy the place on our own and entire community is quiet! >The gym seems like it is open 24 hours and there were alot of equipments. Has a sauna, locker, spacious bathroom, steam room, towels, water, headphones, billards, and foosball table. >Swimming pool (heated), multiple jacuzzi and bonfires spread around the hotel. Beautiful trees and views. Our room, 3302. >It had a fully equipped kitchen (kitchen utensils, cutlery, baking equipment, etc), had washer and dryer (great when you swim and does not want to pack dirty or wet clothes!), and EACH ROOM HAD A FIREPLACE! (our room, 2 king and 1 sofa bed, had a total of 4 fireplace). Everything was clean from the bathroom to the floors). The comforters, bed, and towels were soft and had a luxurious feel. > We requested the higher floor room, room with great views, and in the newer building. All of these were granted (not sure about the newer building request but everything sure does look new!). The views are stunning and so picturesque. You can see trees everywhere and as far as you can see. Other info: >lowest temperature: -4 Celcius >So far, i think this was the best hotel i've ever stayed at. Will definitely love to comeback since we did not get to explore the place fully.
"When hotel and nature are a must."
We had a suite that was just gorgeous. 2 rooms, a den, 2 bathrooms and even a laundry room! 6 People had a very good sleep. And fire places in every room! Since it was nippy, they were really useful. I have to say that I was jealous...this suite had a better kitchen than my house! All the amenities for a long stay. There were activities for all ages. The kids even had a ice-cream decoration class, but it wasn't as well prepared, had to wait for the person responsible of the activity to come. Was not so exciting after all they said. The pool is just wonderful. Nothing in the hotel is out of date or neglected. All is in very good taste. There was a big down: all the boutiques were close except Löle (- a sport clothing store -I think) So this area was rather barren. Summer isn't the High Season for sure. The parking is a tad complicated. But once you get your bearings it all pans out. All in all, Nature at it's best, Lodgings for a King and Queen and very pleased children! Perfect all the way!
