We just finished a week vacation at the Grand Sirenis. We booked through BookVIP and I have to say that I'm extremely pleased with the entire trip, all the way from booking through the conclusion of the trip. We got a phenomenal deal and had an excellent trip!

"A wonderful hotel"
It is not a very big hotel but i loved it, the service was very thoughtful and nice, pretty rooms and comfortable and big beds... The food was incredible! Definitively a perfect hotel i would go again without a doubt
"Wonderful dicovery"
We went with friends for holiday, and this all inclusive hotel was a wonderful discovery. Cosy rooms, delicious food, very good cocktails (do not missed the cocktails prepared by Carlos!) and gentle service. Great room service all day with a very appealing menu. It was very useful to have the concierge service that helped us with the reservations, gave us ideas of activities and he took care of organized them, so we were able to only relax and didnt have to worry about a thing that holidays are made for.

For my first time in Mexico I was so glad to have chosen such a beautiful and friendly resort. I feel so safe and have experienced so much joy and hospitality here, I recommend this resort to anyone! family's and young couples! no complaints what so ever, can't wait to come back :)
"Amazing Vacation!"
We spent 9 days at the Occidental Grand in Nuevo Vallarta this August and had an amazing time! The hotel was beautiful, the rooms were modern and nice and the hotel had a lot of great amenities. We booked an all inclusive package through Costco.com and I highly recommend doing that. The staff was awesome and very attentive. They were basically coming around the pool/beach every 10-15 minutes taking drink orders and bringing out cold hand towels, fruit, and ice cream. The two sit down restaurants at the resort were great. We definitely preferred the Italian restaurant over the Mexican one, but the Mexican one was still excellent. The buffet restaurant was alright...not a huge variety in the meal options day to day. There were a lot of different choices, but those choices didn't change much. But again, service in every area of the resort was outstanding. I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone looking for an easy and relaxing vacation! The only potential downside is that this resort is located in Nuevo Vallarta, which is basically just a small town of resorts/hotels.
"Warm and friendly place! (+lots of drinks)"
I went with my girlfriend to this resort in August and had an amazing experience! Although it is hot in August, it wasn't as hot as I thought. (Online it says it feels like 40 C, due to humidity, but it actualy felt like ~35 C at the hottest time of day and without shade. It is quite reasonable at other times). In any case, back to the hotel. We went here for our anniversary and we enjoyed a free upgrade to ocean view, champagne, and turn down service in the evenings (which we didn't expect). The best part of this resort is the entertainment staff and in friendliness of all the staff. You really feel like you are welcome and not just a visitor. Antonio, one of the entertainment staff, greeted and conversed with visitors where ever he went and was exceptional. He seemed to remember all of us. In terms of the food, I loved the buffet and the snack bar (I often went to get the chicken nuggets late at night as they were so good!). The Italian restaurant was mediocre as the service was slow and the food seemed like it was a variation of the food from the buffet. The mexican restaurant was good. There was no expectations of gratuities, so I gave as I felt without pressure. I thought the bartenders were amazing. Very courteous and super fast. The decor of the hotel was better than I expected given it wasn't a very expensive hotel. There was free wifi in the main open foyer area. The beach was very large and beautiful. The water around this area is not as blue as the other areas around the bay as it is close to rivers, but it was nice swimming in them regardless. The resort also has 3 pools to choose from. There was a beach volleyball game every day too which is a big plus for volleyball players. There are lots of activities throughout the day at the resort if you are not wanting to go out every day. We stayed for about 7 days and went on 3 different tours spaced 1 day apart which was just the right amount of time for this awesome vacation! It was definitely one of the busiest resorts compared to the resorts around us given it being low season, however, the place never felt crowed. This resort is definitely worth recommending for friends/bachelorette parties, etc....
"Clean, comfortable, courteous staff!"
This hotel was exactly as advertised...very clean and comfortable. The staff was so kind and always willing to help with anything we needed. I did notice that anyone who didn't work the front desk did not speak English very well. This was not a problem for us, as I speak conversational Spanish, but for those who don't know any it might be difficult to communicate with waiters, bartenders, and others. We went at the end of May and the resort was practically empty; there were very few other people there. There was some construction to contend with, but it never bothered us. We got front row beach chairs every morning and didn't arrive until after 11 am. The food at the buffet was always fresh and tasty, but got repetitive by the end of the week. I heard that beach vendors would badger us constantly. Maybe it was due to it being the "low season," but they did not bother us much. When we did see them, a simple "no, thank you" got rid of them. My boyfriend and I went for a romantic trip and were not bothered by the families that were there. However, there were plenty of activities for kids and families. I'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!!
"Great customer service"
General manager Tere did an outstanding job to help us in anything we needed we brought a large group of family and she went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. This place is under new management and there seems to be a lot of changes going on to improve the service. We fouund this place the perfect place for our group as it is not too big we had always visual contact for the kids.
"First Time!"
I was very nervous when booking this hotel because it was our first time in Mexico and first time at an all inclusive resort. I was not dissapointed to say the least. First and foremost the customer service at this hotel is OUTSTANDING! From the moment we checked in to 5 minutes before we checked out we were treated great! We found everything to workout great for us.. the resturants were good and waiters and waitresses were outstanding. If you have been to a larger resort I am sure this one may seem small and limited but we had everything we needed. The free wifi in the lobby was a little hard to pick up sometimes but was great and worked out well for us. Fernando and Daniel were amazing and made sure my drinks were never empty! Erik was a wonderful server and by the second day new us by name! The walls are a little thin but that can be anywhere and there is renovation going on throughout the resort but for the amount we paid for our stay it was no bother and it is only to improve the resort! The room we were in was clean and the fridge was stocked daily! The hospitality is 5 star! PS. The humidity is pretty high but that has nothing the do with the resort lol!

We will admit to being rather unsure about traveling to Mexico. However now we wonder why we waited so long. The Occidental was the perfect hotel for us. Just the right size, it is a smaller resort, but that's what we love about it. The beach is an amazing long beach that you could walk on for miles on. There are vendors who walk the beach, but they are not pushy at all. The buffet food is pretty good, the Italian restaurant is delicious, just make sure you make reservations the day before. The one thing to be aware of is when you first come in, off to your left there is a table that says concierge. At that table and walking around the lobby are occidental workers who are apart of the occidental vacation club. They are a part of the time share and when you first come in will try to show you the "sights" of the hotel. basically they are wanting you to go to a presentation in hopes you will sign up for their time share (on a side note.....there are timeshares EVERYWHERE in Mexico so if you don't want to get wrapped up with them be firm and stick to the tours and excursions that your travel agent recommends) Anyways as far as the Occidental time share people go, Once we told them a friendly firm no thank you, we are not interested they leave you alone. I will say huge props to Antonio who does work for the vacation club, however he was extremely friendly & gave us lots of helpful tips about traveling around the area. For us a lot of t into this trip so looking into a timeshare membership would have been a waste of everyone's time us a lot of time & saving. This leads me to the best part of the trip and that was the staff. They were all amazing, friendly & incredibly helpful on so many levels. Idaly at guest relations went above expectation to always answer a question, or help us out. Mehahen at the front desk, always greeted us as if we'd been friends for years. Then the staff in the buffet Javier Echeverria, Erik Cerna Viana & Juan Garcia, were unbelievable, so cheerful & friendly, quick to help you to your table, answer any questions. I wish we could remember the names of our servers in the Italian restaurant but they also were amazing! And last but not least Jorge & Daniel that worked the pool & beach, always made sure we had the drinks we needed. There were others too, Raymondo the bell boy. Everyone made you feel like they were welcoming us home, lets just say we left with new Facebook friends ;) Overall it was a wonderful trip, an excellent hotel, we will be back for sure!!
"Beach and Sunshine"
My first ever All Inclusive and I was very satisfied with the food, the room, the nightly entertainment and the staff. The staff go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. I would return if I was ever traveling back to the same area. Thank you for the hospitality.
"Amazing staff, memorable experience!"
First things first - amazing staff all around! Each and every one of them worked SO hard. We were thoroughly impressed throughout our 2 week vacation with the staff/service, restaurants, beach, location and more.We were also upgraded to an ocean view room which was much appreciated. Idaly Hernandez was always available to assist with any and all requests - always with a smile on her face and with such charm and professionalism - we really appreciated getting to know you and was hard saying goodbye - we miss you!! The waiters were exceptional and such a pleasure to get to know: Erik and Juan in the buffet were fantastic, Jorge and Daniel at poolside were so fun, Miguel, Arnulfo and Luis Telles in the restaurants were fantastic, and Yesenia made the best omelettes each and every morning. Buffet food was outstanding, as were both the Italian and Mexican restaurants. Great walking/running beach, sunsets were stunning, evening lightening/thunder storms unbelievable, and the resort's service overall was great. There were a few times when the 'timeshare offers' were becoming frustrating, but a firm and polite 'no thanks' each time was all that was necessary. Thanks very much for a great vacation !! (June 28-July12)
"Great vacations"
This is a great hotel. There was a lot of construction but it compensated with its great Staff - really friendly and accommodating. Eric at the breakfast buffet was awesome he remembered our drinks and omelets. Good location next to the beach and other resorts
"Pure bliss"
Everyone from the minute we stepped foot onto the property was amazingly kind & courteous! Felt like royalty. Traveled with my wife & best friend & his wife. Daniel at the adult pool was the high light of our customer service experience. Couldn't have expected any thing more. Pools were always clean (even after rain storms). There is No AC in the open common areas but that's no biggie when you're in paradise. (It was hot&humid during our stay) lots of activities to do locally and the tours are reasonable. I was NEVER told No or had a request rejected. We're not new at traveling, and we definitely will come back. We stayed July 25-August 3.
"Awesome vacation stay!"
First I would like to thank all the staff but specially to the kindest people; - Erik (buffet waiter). Every day that we will pass thru the buffet n pool area Erik will greeted us with a great smile and attitude, all my family ( 14 of us) were astonished with him. He's such a great asset to company. Also Jorge (pool waiter) was always on top on my kids & nieces needs. Daniel and Cesar ( buffet waiters ). Juan ( bellboy/valet) always kind a with contagious smile and rapid service. Rocio ( room maid ) always had our room clean and supplied us with any towels or sheets needs. Victor ( cabanas & beach waiter ) Juan ( bartender @ royal club) super kind. Tania and Paty ( concierge services). Tania handle any issues we had during our stay ( a real VIP treatment with her). Paty always greeted us at the lobby , gave us great info in regards to local eateries & places to visit. My review will be endless with extraordinary friendly services. We only had one bad experience with Edgar ( captain at the buffet ). My wife felt very embarrassed with treatment He showed off on a miscommunication of a table reservation in front of other guests. Other than that, our experience as a first time to Puerto/ Nuevo Vallarta was excellent , it Definitely exceeded our expectations. We're definitely are coming back. Keep up the good work.
"Wonderful Stay"
We were a group of seven female family members that stayed in the Royal Suites. What a wonderful experience. Lulu was so accommodating , she was so helpful and friendly! We ate most of our meals in the Royal suite dining room and always had good meals. It was great to have an adult only pool. The resort is small but did not lack any amenities and seemed to run very smoothly. We would definitely come back again, it is a very friendly resort.
"Great value"
I traveled alone to this resort and felt very safe there. This is a beautiful resort with very friendly and efficient staff. I felt a little pressured upon my arrival after traveling over 11 hours by someone who probably wanted to sell me a time share but that soon dissipated by hotel staff who informed me my room was ready. My only complaint is that the hotel room walls are very thin and I could hear everyone speaking, children crying and noisy people at all hours of the night. The rest of my stay was great!
"Just great"
Great family vacation spot. Nice hotel. Pool, kids club, nightly entertainment were all great. Hotel is right on the beach. Beach is clean and ocean is swimmable. Large selection of quality food and great service (ask for Oscar Rodriguez for excellent service)
