We just finished a week vacation at the Grand Sirenis. We booked through BookVIP and I have to say that I'm extremely pleased with the entire trip, all the way from booking through the conclusion of the trip. We got a phenomenal deal and had an excellent trip!

    "Lovely Hotel"
Just returned from the Pestana Alvor Park and have had a lovely stay .. Our room 1108 didn't have a sea view but had a fabulous view of the garden . It is a disabled room and is vey large . Lovely kitchen area with everything you need .. Cleaners left us alone if we didn't need the room service on certain days .. There is a hill to walk into town which took us approx 10 minutes same for the beach ,maybe a bit longer walk for some people .. We didn't eat so can't coment on the food . Special mention to Martins on reception who was great in pointing out where to go as our first time to Alvor . Would stay again
    "Clean and tidy"
We have just returned from a week end at Pestana Park. The furniture and decoration was in a modern style. The apartment was clean, spacious with a good kitchen and a nice balcony facing the sea.The buffet breakfast was very good, all freshly cooked, plenty of choice. Alvor is a lovely little fishermans village with some very good restaurants and a beautiful beach. The perfect resort for a relaxed short break.Booked our private airport transfer online with Yellow fish taxis, professional, punctual and friendly drivers, a special mention to our return driver Carlos, a real gentleman! Would recommend this company if you are looking for a stress free transfer.
    "Very nice"
Very nice hotel, near Alvor town centre and couple hundred metres from the beach. All the rooms have a sea view, well equipped kitchen and lovely beds. Although no WIFI in the rooms as it promised, no dvd or sound system. Breakfast was 8 euro and it doesn't matter if you had english breakfast of coffe with toast. Over all nice quiet and relaxing hotel, everything quite near , would recommend it.
    "Just What You Need"
If you want peace, quiet and to be away from the hustle and bustle of city life, or of more touristy resports such as Rocha, where people like to party at all hours, then the Pestana Alvor Park is for you. It is a mere ten minutes walk to the main drag, but the hotel is far enough away to be a haven. An older crowd, more genteel, with the civilised atmosphere that brings. Beautifully laid out hotel with gorgeous, well-kept gardens. Nice architecture, in earthy colours, with much natural light. A free indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam. (Some hotels charge extra, which is just rude!) We took a studio apartment - the cheapest off-peak option - for a week costing 252,00 euro, for my husband and I. Excellent value. A large, open-plan room with kitchen, bathroom and a private roof terrace. Everything there to self-cater. Very relaxed environment. Some of my most peaceful moments were feeding the birds from the balcony. The simple things. If you need to rest, recuperate, and want a holiday where you don't need to get up and out to do/see things, this is an ideal choice. We loved the laid-back vibe. We slept, we swam, we ate out, we walked. We would return.
    "What a Joy"
My wife and I have just returned from our 7th holiday in Alvor the 1st in a Pestana Hotel. We went with little expectation because of a) its January, b) it was a cheap deal through EasyJet (280 total) and c) negativity about the hotel in previous reviews. How wrong. Got there Sat 10th. Sun shone every day. Sat by the pool in a cozzy, walked on the beach in shorts a few showers on Fri 16th. Great weather. Hotel is perfect. Very modern. Set in gardens. High rooms haveexcellent views.10 minutes amble to the beach or town. Huge studio, very comfortable, spotless and well equipped. Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Hotel maintained to 4* + all through. Indoor pool, jaccuzi, steam room, sauna and gym. Alvor a bit quiet but enough bars and restaurants were open. Minor critique is the hotel bar and restaurant was too pricey hence hardly anybody used it. Shame cos really nice. Kept our room on at no cost as our flight home was not till the evening. Nice touch. Can't wait to go back.
    "Fantastic weekend stay"
We stayed at this hotel from 8th January for 4 nights. On arrival check in was quick and easy. We went to the room which was on the 2nd floor and was a lovely room for 2 people. More than big enough. The only disappointing thing I would say about this room was it was on the side of the hotel so small balcony and view blocked by trees. It also had a a joining room door so could hear quite alot from next door and woke us up at 7 am. We will be booking again as go to alvor every October with the family and have never stayed with the children but want to take them and stay in the one bedroom apartment. Loved our 1st break away on our own. Thank you.
    "Beautiful Hotel"
We had booked a studio apartment for 2 nights but on arrival we were told all studios were fully booked and we had been upgraded to a room. What a fantastic room/suite fully furnished kitchen ,lounge and bedroom decor was superb.cannot rate it highly enough staff and facilities where just great .You Must Try it
    "Perfect Algarve Apartments"
The property is advertised as a four star apartment complex but that does not do it justice. It's as good if not better than many five star properties I have stayed in. The reception is spotless, staff are helpful and courteous and the facilities are top class. The rooms are fairly large with every facility one could wish for. Beds are king size and very comfortable with soft pillows and nice duvets. The seating area is generous with a couch, coffee table, relaxing chair and a dining table with four seats. TV has lots of channels including lots of English ones so no need to go without your TV fix. The bathroom is beautiful with paper hankies, shampoo, shower gel and all you could need for your well being. Just inside the room there is a small kitchen area and it's very well equipped and stocked with everything you could need to make healthy meals and snacks. You get not only a kettle and toaster but a decent two ring electric hob with extractor plus a microwave oven, coffee maker and an electric juicer. It's hard to think of anything you would need to bring or buy to make food as the hotel has provided a generous range of utensils and kitchen accessories so you can cater for yourself easily. Of course there is a fridge with a 4 star freezer compartment and they have even thought of the ease of making ice with a rubber ice cube tray! The hotel has excellent facilities including an indoor heated pool, sauna, Jacuzzi and steam room. The outdoor pool looks connected to the indoor one but isn't, its just a design feature so no chance of a cold dip inside in winter! The hotel gardens are beautifully maintained and there is a nice fountain and plenty of space to relax in the sun. The hotel has a caf and bar but prices are what you would expect in a four star hotel and they are not used much as the self-catering facilities are so good. Typical prices are 7 for a toastie and 3 for a coffee. Not ridiculous but unlikely to appeal in a self catering property. The social areas are very well maintained and comfortable with easy chairs and nice dcor. There is wireless Internet in the public areas and reception will provide a cable to connect a laptop in rooms where the signal does not reach (a very good thing). Cleaning is of the highest standard with fresh soft towels provided daily, floors cleaned, bins emptied, beds refreshed and floors vacuumed. The place is spotless and the housekeeping is 365 days a year. It would be very hard to fault this property as the standards are high and the attention to detail is superb. Would I book again? I would not hesitate and would highly recommend this hotel/apartments to anyone looking for a high quality place to enjoy a holiday in the Algarve. Thanks to all the staff at Prestana Park Alvor for making my visit a very pleasurable experience.
    "Great hotel"
A last minute decision to book this hotel but could not have chosen better . We had been told that a studio would be all we would need for our 16 day trip and indeed this was correct. Great staff and spotless hotel . Would recommend it to everyone.
    "wonderful 1st visit"
On first impressions we thought we had made a mistake, coming to Alvor park. But we were wrong.Super appartment spotlessly clean what more could we ask for.The Staff all very friendly and helpful. We found a lovely Bistro just down the road where we ate most days.Jackie and mark a lovely couple who made us feel so VERY welcome. wonderful home cooked food.We loved every moment at Alvor Park. The daily maid kept the place very clean. I am rather fussy but could find any thing wrong. looking for dust etc. we will return probably in 2016.
    "Excellent value for winter break"
Stayed here as a couple on short 4 day break to Alvor. Our room was unexpectedly lovely given the price we paid. All facilities were of a four star standard and the staff were extremely pleasant. The hotel was very quiet but given the time of year that was expected and suited us just fine. Alvor village was also quiet but the well established restaurants were busy enough. All in all we had a lovely peaceful break and have booked a similar one with the hotel for early 2015
"Our second visit - a first for us!"
Our holiday at the Alvor Park this year is the first time EVER that we have revisited any holiday accommodation. And for good reason. Great facilities, location, service, price and it is spotlessly clean. There's a good chance we'll be back again in 2015.
    "NEVER DISAPPOINTED"
This was our seventh visit and the place jmaintained its excellent standars on each occasion. The main strengths our the Alvor Park are, firstly the staff - always welcoming and extremely helpful. Second is the high standard of the accommodation and the cleanliness of all areas. In spite of the hotel being full, there was little evidence of this in the public areas or around the pool. The sunbeds may be showing the early signs of wear, but there are always plenty available either immediately adjacent to the pool or in the extended garden area. The clientele are equally nice - no reserving of sunbeds rowdiness. All rooms have views towards the sea across a wooded area (formerly a Quinta and the good sized balconies allow afternoon sunbathing in privacy. All are also well equipped with fridge, small freezer compartment, flat screen TV (although programmes are very limited (something to do with satellite access to the UK). Ten minutes easy walk into town where there are numerous eateries to suit all tastes and budgets - you would be hard pressed to find a poor one. Having tried many of the restaurants I would advise against taking the pecking order as entirely fair or accurate. Don't miss a wlk along the beautiful long beach - suggest you start at the eastern end close to the Pestana Delfim. Have a nice coffee t one of the beachfront restaurants and stroll into town for a second near to the fishermen's huts overlooking the river estuary and small port. For the more energetic, there is 4.7 km of boardwaklk running accross the sand dunes between town, beach and the mouth of the river. Finally, for those of you who need some self-catering the best value by fa is the small family run supermarket in the centre of the village close to the market - Marcelinos.
    "Great Holiday"
Just had a great holiday- the rooms are excellent. Lovely hotel and good facilities- sauna/ steam room, jacuzzi & gym. The bar is not used by many guests but is reasonably priced so I am not sure why Good staff especially Jose. The restaurants & bars in Alvor are great. Transfer from Faro can be long. This is our 2nd visit to this hotel.
    "Another wonderful experience abroad!!"
This was an exchange hotel,as my mother has time share on Maderia. Staff on reception were excellent, very helpful and always interested in your day, giving advise and help. Apartment was good, very clean.
    "Heaven"
We have visited Alvor Park twice a year for the past ten years as we are holiday owners at this sparkling hotel. We go for three weeks in the spring and three weeks in the autumn and are never disappointed. The hotel staff are, almost without exception, charming, helpful, efficient and friendly. Maria and her chambermaids keep the apartments and the public areas spotless. Behind the reception desk Martins and Jose can deal with the many queries that arise with a smile on their faces and the bar area is operated by Rui. He is really a star turn and very little phases him. Celia in the restaurant and Joseph, known affectionately as the " pool man " complete a superb team. They have all been employed at " the park " for many years and my wife and I count them as our friends. As I imagine occurs with many holiday ownership schemes, there have become some problems after ten years of a fifteen year contract, the main thing that promises were made at the beginning which seem to have been forgotten. It was stated that, on joining the transfer scheme, it would be easy to exchange dates or venues to suit, but, because of new schemes introduced, this is no longer so. However, that is not the fault of the hotel. We would not think of going anywhere else when we visit that little piece of heaven that is Alvor 5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2014 via mobile We have visited Alvor Park twice a year for the past ten years as we are holiday owners at this sparkling hotel. "Very relaxing hotel"
We have stayed here quite a few times because we think it is the best hotel in Alvor, we try and book a 1 bedroom apartment because they are very spacious with 1 full bathroom off the bedroom and 1 with shower,WC and basin off the lounge/kitchen. Our apartment (214A) on the ground floor had a garden view and a huge balcony with patio doors leading from the bedroom and lounge area, the kitchen had everything we needed but we only used it for breakfasts and some lunch because there are so many good restaurants in Alvor itself. The pool area is very relaxing (out of school term) and always clean, there is an indoor pool with steam room and jacuzzi. Part of the hotel is timeshare therefore some guests are " part of the family" there and will recommend places to visit and eat. The bar lounge area does not seem to be used much in the evening I suspect hotel bar prices has something to do with this. Most of the staff are friendly with the exeption of 1 man on reception. Wi fi is available in the hotel reception and bar area.
    "Pleasantly surprised"
Spent a relaxing few days here in April and would have returned for a few days the next month but the prices had increased dramatically for then so booked somewhere else. Husband and myself stayed in a studio which was very spacious with a proper dining table and chairs, sofa, easy chair and good quality kitchen area with coffee machine, kettle, fridge, microwave and a couple of electric rings. Strangely the tv was an old type but it did have plenty of cable Portuguese tv channels with US and UK series/programmes in English. A comfy kingsize bed with six pillows. The bathroom was a good size with hairdryer. Balcony with a couple of chairs. Free parking. A wardrobe with 18 hangers and plenty of drawers. A large full length mirror. My only gripe was that they charged 2 euros a day for the use of the safe which we could not use because there was something wrong with it. Lovely pool area with towels and a five minute walk to several bars/restaurants/shops or just a t further five minutes to the harbour restaurants. Will return.
    "Fantastic break"
We stayed at the Alvor Park for 7.nights. Cannot fault the hotel or the staff. We were greeted with a smile and nothing was too much trouble for the reception staff. A big thank you to Martins and Jos. Rui the cheerful barman was also great. This is a quiet hotel and immaculate and clean. Rooms cleaned every day. Hoping to go back in April 2015.
    "Quiet Week"
Having spent a week at the Pestana Alvor Praia this was a nice change. Whilst the Praia was very busy the Park was the absolute opposite. There was no issue getting a sunbed or a cavalcade of people traipsing back and forward. The room and cleanliness were excellent as were public areas (although pool area can still be pretty gritty underfoot). The pool itself was very clean and inviting. The indoor spa area is overpowering with the smell of chlorine so we didn't use. The staff are very friendly apart from maybe one at reception again a change from the Praia 5*. The afternoon/evening barman (Rui) especially excellent, always taking time to speak to our 3 year old. Restaurant still only operates a service for morning/lunch and not evening. This can be a pain if you don't want to trail young children into town (especially at the age between pushchair and walking any distance).
    "Nice and quiet spot"
Enjoyed our 10 day stay. The hotel is situated in a quiet spot just a short stroll away from Alvor town centre. The staff are welcoming and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Last year we had a studio apartment which was fantastic and very spacious this year a slightly smaller 1 bedroomed apartment but still very good value for the price you pay. The hotel is immaculate throughout. Booked transfers with yellowfishtransferss due to reviews from others . Proved to be a excellent choice the service was great with free wifi on board and really nice drivers. cheap and reliable.
    "Fantastic hotel,excellent location"
We stayed at the Alvor Park hotel from the 10th of September for 10 days. It is by far the best hotel we have stayed in. We had a 1 bedroom apartment and was amazed at the size of the room and the cleanliness. We had 2 bathrooms, a large lounge/ kitchen area and large separate bedroom. There was access to the balcony from both rooms. The large balcony was equipped with 2 sunloungers and a table and 4 chairs. We had a room on the 4th floor and had a wonderful sea view and the sun all day. The rooms were cleaned everyday and fresh towels and and toiletries changed everyday. Also beach towels are complimentary everyday. We found sunbeds around the pool were easily available all day. It is a 10 minute stroll into the centre of Alvor with it's numerous restaurants and bars and a 15 minute walk to the beach. We didn't have a bad meal the whole time we were there. Atrium 53 is good and also has a bar downstairs with live music, Indian hut for an Indian. We also ate in a couple of the smaller typical Portuguese restaurants which are great value for money. Michael's bar does great cocktails. All in all we highly recommend Alvor and the Alvor Park hotel,so much so that we have already booked for next year.
"PESTANA - Portuguese, Exceptional Surprisingly Tranquil Amazingly Nice Apartments"
Enjoyed two amazing summer weeks in the Alvor Park Hotel with my family. Large free car park & warm greeting at reception. We had a one bedroom apartment which was really well equipped with a kitchenette & shower room in the lounge & full bath/shower in the bedroom. We had separate air-con units in the lounge/diner & the bedroom (which was a great move), & full height french windows to the south facing balcony from both rooms. Everything was amazingly clean, which was a relief. There is a small pool inside with an adjoining jacuzzi, steam room & sauna (you were encouraged to notify reception if you wished to use the steam room or sauna as it appears they only power them up if they are to be used). Outdoor pool was just large enough & had lots of loungers, so finding one was not normally an issue. Whilst the staff were all very efficient a good fifty percent didn't appear terribly happy, which is a shame : ( Kerry & Nikki, the customer relation guys were really cool & helped us out with any questions we had : ) Can't comment on the food as it seemed rather pricey, so we didn't partake, compared to the prices at the numerous cafes, bars & restaurants ten minutes walk away in Alvor town. There was a thirty percent bar price reduction for a few hours every night but it was still overpriced - this is a real shame as it kills the potential bar scene they could enjoy. Games room is a broken table football machine & table tennis (key from reception) & the gym was a couple of running machines, three or four bikes, a rower & a few exercise mats (key from reception again) - big let down... Free wi-fi in reception but there was a cat-5 socket in our room that we were able to use after reception kindly loaned us a cable. Alvor Park isn't for those who want to get lashed & dance until the early hours, it's more of a family hotel - far enough out of the main town to be peaceful but near enough to walk quite easily. We all loved it & have already booked for next year : )
"Just returned from Alvor Park Hotel"
Just had 7 day stay at Pestana Alvor Park which was faultless. The rooms are incredible combining high end hotel accommodation with an excellent modern kitchen and dining area. Had 2 children who loved the outdoor and indoor pools as well as spa area and gym. This hotel is small enough to be intimate, so you are well looked after by staff. The addition of being able to use the facilities of the livelier Dom Joao II complex near to the beach meant you could choose what type of day you wanted. Beautiful unspoilt Portuguese town 10 minutes walk from hotel with lovely restaurants. Flew out at 0630 and having a beer by the pool at 1130........
    "Excelent"
Excelent Hotel, very clean and staff go out their way to make your stay more comfortable. The pool area is excelent and alot of space for kids to run around and play. Fairlt priced, not the cheapest but well worth the value. Very family orientated hotel. Definetely recomended. It was like a second home. Great atmosphere. Keep it up guys. 5 Stars
    "V good"
Lovely apartments and V clean and comfortable. Have 2 small kids and v pleasant for them in kids pool. Not many kids about though. Breakfast included in stay was ok. Very few people went for breakfast or had lunch in hotel. great location to alvor and beach. Bring a buggy for children as a lot of walking for them to beach in the heat. Lovely hotel. Cant fault. Would recommmend.
