Great place! Water park was great for the kids! Very pleased with the service everyone was extremely friendly and kind! They were just finishing remodeling but we stayed in one of the newer rooms and it was very nice! We will definitely be back again!

"Don't be scared off by other reviews!"
We were going to cancel our reservation due to the bad reviews on this site. Thankfully, we didn't because our stay has been great! The staff are all very friendly, and our room is clean and much larger than I was expecting. They delivered a very nice and new pack n play for our baby, and left a bag with clean towels on our doorknob in the morning despite not wanting room service. The indoor waterpark is a smaller one...great for younger kids, and great for us who have a 9 month old and just wanted to get away for the weekend.

Everything was wonderful from the moment we checked in registration desk was so friendly. Our room was magnificent we had a refrigerator microwave stove top dishwasher it was spotless. We would definitely stay here again.
"Family Vacation "2011""
On our road-trip from Michigan to Minnesota we stayed at the Polynesian Resort Hotel overnight. The girls enjoyed the indoor and outdoor pools. The atmosphere was nice and location was great. We toured the downtown area and enjoyed attractions like Ripley's Believe it or not Museum and Ole-Time Photos.
"Great place"
For an older hotel, it is great. Just what u need for kids 0 to 12! Everyone was friendly and helpful! Not a huge crowd so u don't loose your kids. Was able to eat in pool area with our packed food and drinks even. Clean all around!
"Very nice for young kids"
We traveled this passed weekend with our 2 yr old. She had an amazing time. To her, any pool is great. I would say this resort is great for any kid between 2-12ish. Water temp was fine. They don't have a huge outdoor or indoor pool area, but enough to keep them busy for hours. We didn't really experience any problems. Our king size bed was firm, but very comfortable; the fridge was new. There is a small microwave in the room, and and old tv which we didn't use. Bathroom was fine, good water pressure.
"Will stay again!"
We had a great stay in a two bedroom suite (room 308). All the rooms were clean. My daughters (18 months and 5 years old) both had a blast in the pools. Great place for families with little kids to stay. If you have older kids, you might want to look else where. There are not a lot of indoor water activities for big kids. All in all, I would recommend this place!
"Repeat customer, great stay"
Another last minute quick weekend get away with the girl friend. Front desk staff is amazing as normal. Monk in the bar is a great person to talk and joke with. In house pizza is great, and still cheaper than most delivery. Room had a fresh coat of paint and was clean as normal. Pools were clean. I stay in many hotels for work and Polynesian is right at the top with cleanliness and staff is more than willing to go above and beyond customer expectations. I plan on staying again soon!
"In for volleyball tournment"
It worked out fine for our use. The kids used the pool on the final day but otherwise it was just a place to eat and sleep. Close to both of the JAG and Bubble where most of the games were played. It was March to only the indoor swimming was open. We were years ago and it is primary for small kids. We had no problems with the room, staff or anything else. Checked in and out quickly. The only weird thing was the hotel charges $1.50 per day for the safe if you want it but you have to tell them at checkout to remove it since it is added to the bill automaticly. strange. Average place but we got it for a good price.
"Good For The Price"
Stayed two days this weekend. Not nearly as fancy as the more modern resorts but the staff and life guards are friendly. The cost is good and it is close to everything you need. Great for younger kids and people that don't want to spend a ton on a hotel. TV's and rooms need updating. The one coin operated washing machine was out of service. Will be back.
"We had a great time at the Polynesian"
As a ell seasoned travelor, I read some of the reviews and thought I must have stayed at a different resort. We took our grandsons there sat 2/1/14 for 1 night and had a great time. It is a waterpark resort marketed towards kids 10 and under. Our room was clean with fridge and microwave in the room, the kids had a great time in the waterpark, the staff was friendly and our room was spacious. Yes, the Kalahari is a little more upscale and their prices are definatly much higher also. We had a great time at the Polynesian and will go back again
"Friendly and fun"
We were looking for a place in Wisconsin Dells to take our 3 year old granddaughter for her birthday. This facility seems older but is well kept. There were friendly staff everywhere, including the housekeeping people in the halls who all were smiling and acknowledged us with hellos. They were all very friendly toward our granddaughter who loves people. The woman we made reservations with was extremely helpful and when she learned the age of our granddaughter booked us in a quieter wing for naps and quiet times. The lifeguards were attentive and also very friendly as were the shop staff. The halls, pool areas, and our room were all very clean and smelled good. We were able to book a room with an actual bedroom door between the bedroom and sitting room so we could make it very dark in there for our granddaughter to sleep while still being able to watch tv in our bedroom. The indoor water park seemed more geared to younger children and as such fit those needs very well. The only complaint we might have is there was no internet of any kind available in the rooms, just the lobby. All in all this was a great choice for us and we are very, very pleased with our stay.
"our last stop coming home"
This is our first visit here and we would definitely come back! Our room was huge....had a king size bed with a beautiful parrot cover...a couch!!!! It also had a refrigerator and microwave. The tub and toilet were in a separate room, which allowed me the sink, mirror to use while my husband was in the shower!!!
"water park well maintained; hotel a bit dated."
Stayed in June, 2013 for one week. Staff very helpful. Hotel is overall quiet and family-oriented. Furnishings are a bit dated, but clean. Staff had to come and make some repairs while I was there. But, for the very reasonable price, no complaints. Located just off the main drag of the Dells and near the Paul Bunyon restaurant -- sooo convenient. Much better to stay there than at a place a few exits away. water park was a few doors down the hall from any room and has features for any age, but is geared more for young kids. Would definitely stay there again, especially as weekly rate is so reasonable. The benefits of this place are gained from a long stay, not a one-or two- night stopover. Met several people in pool who were all return guests on family vacations. Another BIG advantage of the rooms is that they can comfortably sleep SIX. There are two queen size beds, then a half wall partition with a sitting area/ pull-out couch. So, You can put the kids to sleep and stay up with no conflict.
"Dells Hidden Treasure"
Great property for great price. Wonderful and helpful staff make for grandstay. Pool areas and Pool Bar makes for fun time. Excellent for families. Convenient to all the Dells has to offer. We will definitely return to the Polynesian!
"Great vacation destination!!!"
Just spent a week at the Polynesian resort in the dells. It was great! Fun hotel, wonderful staff, great time.Evan has several bars throughout the facility. Found the staff extreamly helpful. Already made plans to come back next year.
"My family and I had the best time ever!!"
We recently stayed here and we had a great check in. The front desk ladies were very friendly and prompt on checking us in. The rooms are dated and the tvs are older but when I am on vacation I am not there to watch tv. Outside my kids and I went the Pirate Ship looked newly painted this season and I could not keep the kids away from it they loved it! The lazy River was most relaxing in the 80 degree weather. The lifeguards were very professional. Later in the night my husband and I enjoyed a signature drink at the Outdoor Tiki Bar, the bartenders were very friendly. We also ate at the Indoor Tiki Bar where they have their own in house pizza that was great!! My children did the property scavenger hunt which kept them busy for over a hour and ended in the large game room located by the Outlook Bar above the water park where they recived a prize. We needed more towels later that night and so I called the Front Desk and they brought us some right away! Over all we cant wait to book a return winter stay with them to take advantage of the winter ski package.
"What a great hotel"
We stayed 2 nights at the Polynesian and had a wonderful time. The whole resort was very clean and workers were cleaning all day long. The pools were cleaned each morning before they opened even though the wind was causing falling leaves. We had 80 degree weather which made it great for the water activities. I loved the Polynesian theme and bright colors. Made the atmosphere very fun. Our room was very clean and not outdated at all. We had our 10 year old granddaughter with us and she had so much fun. After we had checked out and returned after breakfast you can use the water park the rest of the day. I can't say enough good things about this resort.
"Excellent for small kids. Above avg for others"
Very good hotel. Fairly clean and many water rides geared to younger kids. Much less expensive thsn most other places in the dells and a good value. Overall an sbove aversge experience but not a top of the line waterpark or hotel.
"Pleasantly Surprised"
My family stayed here and was pleased with this hotel. Yes, it's older, but still a good value. The water parks are for younger children. We could no use the outside water parks due to weather. The staff was very friendly. Overall, a very good experience.
"Nice hotel for kids!"
Stayed for 1 night this past weekend, the hotel and rooms are pretty out dated but clean for the most part. The best part of the hotel was the water park. My sons ages 6 and 19 months had a blast and thats what really matters. We enjoyed the indoor swim area but did not get a chance to go outside due to the cold weather. I've stayed many places in the Dells and this is neither the worst or the best. My kids would love to go back.
