rooms were recently renovated...good size ...clean...food was good...bacon everyday...drinks were good ...great service at the main bar....entertainment at night was lackng...same thing night after night...beach was great..could always get a chair...would I return...yes in a heartbeat...

"Great Vacation"
We have just returned from a 5 day stay at this Resort and it was fantastic. Our room was clean, the food and drinks were great and the service was excellent. What more can you ask for. We have been to Puerto Plata 5 times and stayed at 4.5* resorts and this one was one of the best we have stayed at....we recommend it and definitely will go back. Thank you staff and Management, you made our stay wonderful.

W friends , upgraded to sunclub , a desirable idea if u want a peaceful refuge . Carlos and Norberto just absolutely fantastic . Can't say enuff about their GENUINE concern and service . Tip these guys lol. Just great . Johaira sunclub guest services and her crew attempt to help in ANY way . Again fantastic . Drastic improvements in rooms, terrific activities foam party lol !! Johnathan in management very proactive and genuine in service and quality . Restaurants really need a server shake up !!!! Girls in main buffet on top of their game. Thx

This has been the most amazing family vacation ever!!! Spiderman & Batman at the kids club was the BEST!!! Accommodations were fantastic! Water aerobics with Julio were awesome!!! The food and staff were more than we could have ever asked for!!! Thanks! We will definitely be back!!!
"Great place for a family vacation"
We really enjoyed our stay at this resort. Here are some of the highlights and some of the areas where the resort could improve: Highlights (Staff): Entertainement Team (Daytime activities) Julio (The Rock), Rafael, Aris, Santos, Edgar, Yahairo, Flor, Braulio and Yayi were all very engaging and full of energy; they had fun games at the pool and beach and always greeted us with a smile. Very positive team. Good work! They made our stay so much more enjoyable:) The house keeping staff, especially, Felicita, was always cheerful and helpful and tended to all our needs. Lastly, even the people selling TimeShares were not pushy and were helpful in giving us information about the resort and the area. Eusebio Rodriguez and Raoul (LNK) were excellent.

ALL of my wedding was excellent! My Wedding coordinator was with me all of the processus, and very helpful with us. She helped me with all details, and it was very appreciate! Very very good experience for me and the rest of my family. A beautiful room, good food and services!

I just got back from my vacation last night. This resort is a dream come true! This was my second time visiting in Puerto Plata. I went last year in March with my best friend, when they had just completed renovations around the Easter Holiday and it was also amazing. This time I took my daughter and we stayed at the SunClub Adults only section. It was nice to have our own section to check in and out. When we arrived we had a nice envelope with our names on it, along with a typed up letter welcoming us to the resort with a nice bottle of Brugal. The resort was very clean and spotless and so are the rooms. The entertainment is really awesome. What I liked most was the way the resort interacts with the visitors making them feel very welcome. There is so much to do at this resort from the morning (enjoying the water aerobics, games, Foam Pool Party) to the night (enjoying the daily varitey show, kids movie night, dancing). From the moment you arrive at the resort you are treated like a star. Mr. Martinez at the Excursion desk always have a nice attitude and refreshing smile. He assisted us with booking and explaining our excursions. Julio or Julian the Director of entertainment keeps you smiling and provides lots of quality things to do around the resort. Carmen and Josephine in the Spa area were amazing and very professional. This is the place to be if you want to have a great time.

"Another awesome vacation"
This us my 10th stay, but the first review, what awesome staff! They are the reason I keep coming back! Especially the entertainment team. The shows are fantastic - the Valentine's Day show was outstanding! William, your team is welcoming and always has an activity on the go. Special thanks to Braulio, Aris (who kept us dancing all night - every night) and Flor. Also great service from bartenders Jose, Simon and Alexis in the lobby and Melvin at the beach! Thanks for always making me feel like I am at home! See you very soon!
"I love Puerto Plata!!"
I truly 100% enjoyed my vacation herre . The staff is amazing . The activities are fun . I didn't want to go home . Pools were clean , Djs played awesome music . The rooms were clean , wished the AC was better , but didn't spend enough time in room to complain about it . Food want horrible , they actually had some very yummy selections . Wish the alcohol was better and the mixes were better , thank god they have natural juices everyday . Didn't see a full show but caught bits and pieces of a few different ones and they looked like fun , lots of dancing . I love that they have the different restaurants . And a buffet on the beach , which they turn into a party at night . Honestly the place is really pretty , clean , and fun . The staff truly makes it a wonderful experience , they're full of fun and tips , and let you know where there is a good time if you feel like leaving the resort , which we did , everyday , lol . I can't wait to go back !!! Love this place .

Ultra relaxing vacation at Puerto Plata The entire Staff was amazing and helpful Thank you Joharia for your professionalism and helpfulness with relocating us to a more peaceful room. "Great Vacation"
The food was great, the staff fantastic. Always had a smile, good morning,afternoon or evening, or just a plain hola with a smile. Lot of sunshine while we were there. Spent time at both the pool and the beach. Ate at 2 of the ala cartes service was great there as well. Building 12 is the closest to the ocean and if the mangroves were thinner you would have an ocean view...possibly the 3 floor had that. Check in and out was very smooth...no wait for the room as we arrived around supper time. Very easy to find your way around. If you wanted to go to the plaza it was just a 2 minute walk from the lobby Would go back there again. Great for a family vacation as well.
"Sun scale Vacation"
Great place to visit, loved the resort and everything about it. Food was excellent, rooms spacious and clean, entertainment top notch. Julio, was especially helpful, always looking out for my daughter and myself that we had everything we needed. Pool exercises were great. We loved the foam party on New Year's Eve in the pool.
"Relaxing vacation, nice beach"
A five day fun break with family and friends - enjoyed the pool foam party, the beach was nice, sandy and picturesque, the property was well maintained, room was decent but the main highlight of our trip was CoCo Cafe. Every day in the afternoon we would all look forward to coffee and desserts at the cafe. They had good coffee and great desserts ... yum In terms of activities, we tried para sailing at the beach and enjoyed it - the cameraman mesquito was fun :) We discovered breakfast at the beach snack bar mid way through our trip. That was something we enjoyed the last two days. Fewer people, no lines for eggs, beautiful view - I would recommend that for breakfast and lunch too.
"Wonderful Place"
I stayed at this resort during December of last year, I have to say I enjoyed my stay at this resort a lot. The food is delicious, fresh fruits and vegetables, the buffet has a vast selection to choose from, the a la carte restaurants also have delicious food on the menu. The property itself is very lovely, the rooms are spacious with good air conditioning, the bathrooms always have hot water, and the fridge is well stocked. As for entertainment I always had something to do, the entertainment team always had fun activities in the pool and the beach, and during the night the shows are very well done and fun to watch with the whole family. I definitely plan on going back soon.
"Awesome Resort"
I highly recommend this Resort, the staff are absolutely amazing, Jhonatan the manager always goes out of his way to make sure you have everything you need during your stay. The beach is beautiful. Always lots of activities by the pool and great entertainment every evening in the theatre. The rooms are very clean and spacious. There is a variety of food amongst the different ala carte restaurants and the Buffet, Definitely will visit again.
