This is the one of the best hotels for customer service that I have been to. James, the houseman was absolutely superb! The front desk folks were also very courteous, helpful, and professional. The cleaning staff was always helpful and when asked for extra items, didn't act like they owned it. The entire experience was very refreshing and relaxing. The hotel was very clean and very well cared for! This staff took great pride in ensuring every guest had everything they needed. This will be my hotel for future Outer Banks vacations!

We booked our family trip through BookVIP. Love the view and the waves are so peaceful. There are great dunes and a boardwalk going over the dunes to the beach. There is an indoor pool, indoor hot tub, outdoor tiki bar. There is so much to do!

"Extremely pleasant and helpful staff"
We really enjoyed staying here. The view was wonderful, breakfast was tasty the room was clean and fresh and most of all, the staff went out of the way to make sure that our stay was great. From housekeeping to the waitstaff and front desk, everyone was equally as nice.

"Bike week 2015"
Front staff were welcoming and friendly. Housekeeping did a great job, not perfect but rooms were clean. All of the staff was friendly and worked hard to keep the place clean with a pleasant atmosphere. We ate breakfast at their restaurant Peppercorns. They were cooked perfectly. We had a Groupon so breakfast was included in the deal. I would recommend staying here.
"Terrific Staff"
From the minute we arrived to the minute we left we continued to be impressed with the service we received. The front desk staff is second to none and the housekeeping crew was so pleasant and thorough! Couldn't ask for a better experience. Our banquets were the best food and service I have experienced, and I go to a lot of events like ours. Great Job Ramada Plaza Hotel in Nags Head, NC. Terrific experience and we can't wait to come back.
"Best pet-friendly hotel full-service hotel on the OBX"
I have stayed at the Ramada Plaza Nags Head many times beginning c.2002 when I was in Dare County for a week with my job. My first time there I did not have my dog with me because I was working but I learned that the hotel was pet-friendly - I actually stayed in one of their pet-friendly rooms. It was immaculately clean, well appointed, and very comfortable. Since that trip I have stayed probably six or seven more times with my dog and have been very pleased every time. The staff is remarkably polite and accommodating - once on a Sunday morning very early my partner was taking me to the starting point for the Flying Pirate half marathon, and my dog was left back at the room by herself in her crate. She (the dog) was confused because running attire on me typically signals to her that we are fixing to go out together on a run. In this instance it did not and furthermore she was crated and so unbeknownst to me and my partner, the poor dog began to cry and whine shortly after we left. The staff of the hotel heard her and went in and let her come to the office with them in order for her distress to lessen and in order for her to not disturb other guests who were still trying to sleep at 7am on a Sunday! Not only was this a lovely act of kindness to the dog AND the hotel guests, the hotel did not charge us extra for this inconvenience or make us feel as if we were unwelcome there. They said it happens often and is part of being a pet-friendly hotel! I LOVE the Ramada Nags Head and will stay there every time I get the chance! The pool and hot tub are also nice as is the fact that the hotel is beach front and all the pet-friendly rooms are on the ground floor. The lobby cockatoo is awesome, too!!!
"Always the friendliest staff."
I stay at the hotel 2 times a year and the staff is always so friendly. Very fast check in and the rooms are very nice with the balcony overlooking the ocean.

Had a great stay! Staff was wonderful. They were very accomidating and had answers to all my needs. There weren't many at all but what there was they went above and beyond.
"Good value w friendly service"
The hotel is a little dated but clean. Easy access to the beach w/ nice balcony views. Staff members from the front desk to maintenance are extremely nice and sincere. You can tell they make it a point to serve.
"Good option for Nags Head"
I'm not a beach person but needed a place to stay while visiting for a friend's wedding. The Ramada is a step up from most of the beach-side hotels/motels in the area. Hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. The hotel is a bit dated (as are all of the hotels in the area) but it was well kept. Our room was clean, the location was great, we slept well and had no complaints.

"Reasonable and Pet Friendly !!!"
We recently came through the area on our way back from DC, having decided to stop over in the Outer Banks. We found this Ramada Plaza Hotel very easily accessible, and although they were almost booked out, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. A big shout out goes to Mickey at the front desk. We partook in the breakfast, which was a la carte, reasonably priced with generous portions. Most of all, this hotel is pet friendly, with ground floor rooms going out to a patio / grassy area, complete with doggy-bag station. Not much of a view from there, just the back of the dunes, but having our little hiking buddy along was more important to us. This hotel is oceanfront, convenient to the Wright Brothers Monument (2 miles), which is definitely worth a visit, due to it's elevation and beautiful views.
"Love the view even though oceans too cold right now"
We didn't have that hot of water in the showers, but the room was very good a little small for 4 girls staying here. The beds very comfortable and the veiw is breath taking. Peppercorns was alright but had a long wait for our food because short staffed. Overall it's a good hotel. We will be coming back in the future.
"Hospitality!"
I traveled to OBX for the Expo show with a business partner. We were allowed to check in early, wonderful staff and very welcoming to us. After a long day we come back to our hotel and instead of going out to dinner, we decided to dine at Peppercorns. The staff was very friendly and food was exceptional! We could not have gone any other restaurant on the beach and received the quantity/quality of food that we received at Peppercorns. Our rooms were spotless and very comfortable. Wonderful experience and totally recommend this hotel, restaurant and especially the staff!! ALSO, when we got back to the hotel after a long day, we saw several "coach" buses and it was like...OH NO. BUT I have to saw, we did not hear anything from the children! Very pleasant
"Ramada in Outer Banks"
Great hotel & location! The rooms were nice and clean - you could smell the bleach on the bed sheets. The bed was THE most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. The staff was very friendly and showed great southern hospitality. Peppercorns is a restaurant/bar in the hotel and the food and service was perfect. Prices were good too! The outside has a nice lounge area with a tiki bar open in the summer. We went during the off season so didn't get to experience that but heard it gets extremely packed since its one of the last standing beach bars left in that area. The hotel is also in a good location, walking distance to bars and right near the wrights brothers museum. Tons of things to do no matter the time of year.

Overall the hotel was very nice. What made it even better was that I had left my pocket book in the room when we checked out. When I arrived home, 5 hours later, there was a message on my voice mail saying the cleaning staff had found my purse and they were holding it in the office. They were very accommodating and mailed my purse to me via Fed Ex. Thank you to all the staff at Nags Head Ramada Inn.
"Easter vacation!"
I am a Enterprise rent a car employee and I value customer service on work and off. This experience was very satisfying! We were very pleased with the service and food. We even got a picture with the bunny rabbit!!! Can't wait to stay again, thank you for looking out!
"Comfortable basic hotel"
We went off season for our 12 year olds spring break. The room was very basic but comfortable. One of the reasons I chose it was because it had 2 queens not doubles. The on-site restaurant was pleasant with nice views. We only ate breakfast there but it was delicious and a good value. Sabrina is the hotel bird she was quite the lady!! It was too cold to enjoy the beach but walks were nice.
"First Trip to OBX"
We booked a last minute trip for a quick beach get-a-way with our dog for the weekend before the crowds showed up. We were super happy with the price and the location. We didn't have to take our dog through the hotel every time because we actually had a door that walked out from our room to the beach, which was amazing. The hotel had some wear-n-tear but was still very clean. I was surprised how many dogs were on the beach and the front desk even gave us a goodie bag of treats for our pup when we checked-in. The beach was very clean and I felt the entire area was safe. We'll definitely be back for another visit in the future.
"Incredibly quiet beds"
We were there for an off-season stay the first week of March. Because it was off-season, there was some work going on in surrounding rooms, sometimes as late as 7 or 8 at night. However, it may have been that they didn't intend for people to be on the 5th floor that week. The first room we were given on the 4th floor smelled of cigarette smoke (even though all rooms are supposed to be non-smoking.) I asked for a different room, which we were promptly given, on a different floor. I'm glad we paid the extra few dollars for an ocean view room. It was really quite lovely to fall asleep with the sound of the ocean outside, and wake up to the sunrise. One interesting thing - these were the most quiet beds I have EVER slept in. Nothing made any noise - not the frames, not the mattresses, not even the linens. And they were very comfortable to boot. I did see that there were a lot of new mattresses being brought into the hotel while we were there, so perhaps they update them often.
"Birthday weekend"
Reception was very good, even had a parrot as a greeter at front door! Nice clean, quiet ocean view room on the fifth floor, the beds were very comfortable. Room service was excellent, breakfast brought to our room was very good. Had asked for champagne, flowers and chocolate covered strawberries to be in room before we arrived, all well presented as requested. Indoor salt water pool was a great 87 degrees (perfect) , salt water hot tub varied a bit in temperature but overall excellent. Restaurant was limited in menu but drinks and live music were fine. All in all, a very nice place to stay.
"Just the 2 of us"
We did a little weekend away. Picked Ramada and had a great time. The location is perfect as was the weather. The ocean front balcony room on the 4th floor was awesome. We kept the door of our balcony open all night so as to be able to enjoy the sounds of the ocean all night. Thanks Ramada we will be back,soon.
"Great Oceanfront rooms"
We loved our Oceanfront room. The bed was comfy but the pillows were really, really great. Believe me, you don't need to bring your own pillows, as I seen some people doing. The balconies overlooking the ocean were great. It was chilly when we stayed but you couldn't resist sitting out there watching and listening to the ocean. The coffee provided in the rooms was pretty good. The other hotels we had stayed in prior to this one, while traveling in NC didn't even had coffee pots in the rooms! The location is great. I don't recommend the restaurant in the hotel but I highly recommend the hotel itself and the staff were all friendly and helpful.
"First time to the OBX with our Dog."
What a lovely Hotel.....Friendly knowledgeable Staff, Clean, a VERY comfortable Bed, Inexpensive, Yummy Breakfast, Easy Access to the beach, and Ideal accommodations for staying with a dog. Phoenix was one Happy (tired) Pup. We ended up staying an additional night, totally exceeded our expectations. Well Done Ramada!
"Nice place"
I really enjoyed my stay. Only downside is that if there are kids, you are going to know it. You can hear everything. I had a room next to a family, and the kids were pretty hyper, so it wasn't peaceful the entire time. Overall, the hotel was very nice and clean. The staff was great and friendly. I would recommend this hotel and more than likely stay here again.
