"Pleasantly Surprised."
I booked this hotel with my fingers crossed. My wife and I were in the area for a few days and wanted to hit some of the theme parks. For us, we would rather be able to spend a bit more on theme parks days and nice places to eat, and save on the hotel. We booked this place because the price was very reasonable and seemed to have decent reviews. The check-in process was smooth and the lobby looked pretty nice. The real highlight of the place is the rooms. They seem to be recently remodeled and have all of the expected amenities and even a few extra surprises. The bedding was comfortable and the bathroom was really nice. The outside patio area was fantastic and really added a quality feel to the hotel. Several patio tables with fire pits and perfect landscaping. The pool always looked great, although we didn't have time to swim. Just as an FYI, it is a motel (Technically) so your room access is from the outside. This can add to the noise level, but wasn't an issue for us. Overall this was a great stay and would fully recommend it for anyone looking for a nice, but inexpensive stay in the area.

Rooms are updated with new furniture, renovated bath rooms. New equipment in the fitness centers. Very well maintained pools and landscape. Friendly staff at the front desk. Clean room. Not a 5 star hotel but great value for your money!
"Great surprise!"
We are Disney pass holders and we stay in various places about once a month depending on our price range. We booked for convenience to the parks and the price. Don't judge a book by its cover is a great analogy for when you pull up. The outside looks a little drab, but the inside is very clean and comfortable. I would stay again and recommend it for its price.
"Pleasant Surprise"
My wife and I stayed here 3 nights. Picked this hotel for proximity to Disney World and price. I was a little concerned about the hotel because of the price low price, but the majority of Trip Advisor reviews were positive. The reviews proved correct and we could not have been happier with our choice. They do have a $9 a night resort fee. Check inn was quick and friendly. We stayed in a king room on the second floor overlooking the pool and courtyard which were very nicely landscaped. The room was good size with a chair and sofa. Every thing in the room was in great condition and very clean. Very comfortable bed. The tub and toilet were separated from the sink area by a door which would provide privacy for those that wished it. Also did not have to worry about fogging up the mirror. The room had a refrigerator and microwave as well as a Keurig coffee maker. No breakfast provided but they did have and on site restaurant. We tried it once, but preferred the Bob Evans across the street.

so glad to see and stay at this hotel. Love the renovation. Rooms are great and so are the pools. Family had a great time. Hotel is close to all the Orlando attractions which made it even better. The strip the hotel is on is loaded with restaurants and I would try cracker barrel and bone fish (?) right up the street.
"A Tremendous Motel"
The Red Lion Main Gate is an exceptional value for the quality of service you receive. The entire facility is very clean and accommodating. We requested a particular room during our reservation process and it was waiting and ready for us. They are making several significant updates since obtaining the Red Lion flag to their location that only increased the worth of our visit. Michael Champine, the General Manager, went out of his way to greet me in the court yard each day we met and has really overseen a dramatic renovation of the property especially in the meeting rooms and restaurant facilities. My wife and I travel all over the nation from coast to coast and rate this the best motel for the money in our 45 years of travels.
"Great Value!"
Husband and I spent 4 nights at this hotel this past weekend. Very convenient to everything. Plenty of restaurants to choose from in the immediate area. Staff was friendly and amicable. We asked to have our room cleaned afternoon instead of mornings and they were happy to do so. Rooms were clean, plenty of towels and hot water. Nice grounds to stroll. Felt safe. The only downside was the game room. It is not as depicted on the site for the hotel. We wanted to play pinball as they had machines in the add but they did not have them in the VERY small game area.
"2016 Spring Training Getaway"
I just checked out this morning and I am back home in Wisconsin. I stayed here for two nights and it was very clean and comfortable. I did my research before booking and I based my selection based upon the reviews and not the Star rating. This hotel is very convenient to Disney's World Drive (the main entrance). I drove to Disney Springs (Downtown Disney) the first afternoon and I drove to ESPN Wide World of Sports the second day for a MLB game. Check-in is at 4 PM, so do not come early without a call. The staff was very friendly and helpful with respect to questions and recommendations and directions. My second floor King Bed room was very quiet and comfortable. If you want a four or five star hotel look elsewhere, but this hotel is 'very good' for the price.
"Do it!! It's wonderful !!!"
This hotel was spectacular ! The rooms were clean and so comfortable !!! The pool was so warm and nearly empty ! The hotel was full but extremely quiet!! We never heard a single noise from our room and we were there for 10 nights !! Upon arrival, we were greeted by SHARON, she was amazing , informative , and gave us an immediate feeling of welcomeness,and an upgradeI can't say anything about the Angels rest. We never ate there! But best hotel(resort) we've been to and it was soooo inexpensive , definately stay here!!! We like to stay at new resorts on our yearly visit to Orlando, this one is the closest to the Disney parks, we spent 15$ for 10 days in gas, that closegreat staff. We even saw a tailless squirrel and a fat raccoon on multiple occasions that clearly call this resort home, I can see why! Awesome stay
"Exceptional Customer Service"
This hotel was everything we expected and more!!! The staff was amazing, the bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever experienced in a hotel, the room was very clean, with the exception of a few spots that I took care of myself, without any hard feelings, as I have an eye for things others wouldn't notice. It looked like someone unleashed their child with dirty fingers who touched everything that housekeeping wouldn't clean on a normal basis (sofa, drawers, both chairs). The bed sheets were clean, bathroom clean, vanity area, clean. The keurig was awesome but prepare to bring your own as they only have a decaf for brewing. The washer dryer was reasonable price and easy access from our room so if you plan on using it bring your own soap and dryer sheets, if you forget they sell soap in the gift shop. There is a mini fridge and safe for valuables which was easy to use. They do not provide housekeeping during your stay (which I absolutely loved) but you can ask for clean towels or coffee cups or anything they provide and someone will bring it right up to you. (we stayed 5 nights and asked for fresh towels once which they were there in less than 5 mins with.) The hotel is motel style in that the doors to room are outdoors. We loved that as it reduces noise. There is no smoking in the rooms but my husband smokes so to get outside to smoke was not a hassle and there are plenty of smoking areas to extinguish cigarettes so he knew right where to put his cigarette when he was finished and helped on the litter of that sort. The pool was amazing and they heat it so it never felt cold, in fact was so refreshing! There is no microwave but if you really needed one you could use the one in the lobby, which we never had the need for. The staff was beyond outstanding and they were always taking care of the property, they were always friendly and made us feel welcome each and every time we encountered a staff member. As a college educated person in business management: hospitality and travel, who loves comfort and clean at a great price but prefers to take care of things my way, this hotel has exceeded my expectations and I will be back and will be recommending this hotel to everyone I know who is staying in the Orlando area as the price to experience cannot be beat! Thank you Red Lion Orlando for making the first couples getaway in 18 years an absolutely enjoyable one!!!! My only regret was that we didn't stay a few more days!
"Great staff, great location, and excellent value."
We stayed overnight on way to Miami. This place is approximately 10-15 minutes from Disney (Epcot, Kingdom, Blizzard Beach, and Celebration). Also near shopping centers, food. The rooms are spacious, clean and have mini fridge, microwave, and Kureig coffee station in rooms. The have an on site restaurant and concierge desk that has information and believe able to also purchase tickets to some attractions. The staff is friendly and helpful. We got for an excellent rate, and would definitely stay here again.
"Good quality hotel for the price you pay."
Payed less than $100,- a night for a very nice hotel close to Disney World. Parking and in-room WiFi are free. Rooms are refurbished and clean. Large pool is heated which is excellent. The Kids loved the playground next to the pool. Squirrels are friendly and don't bite.
"Awesome mini vacation"
We booked Red Lion Hotel through Groupon so we could give it a try. Recently, we purchased annual Disney passes and we where looking for a place that we could stay for a couple days at a time near the parks. To be honest I was apprehensive because of the price on Groupon and the outside picture depicting more of a motel like setting but the picture did not do justice to this little gem. We've found our second home while in Kissimmee. My 9 year old declared that she was moving in she liked it so much lol.
"Much more than I expected!"
I kinda wanted to keep this place a secret but that wouldn't be fair to the people that work there! If your going to be going to Disney world particularly Magic Kingdom this is the place you want to go for value! When we first got there we were second guessing our decision by judging just the outside and then the room keys didn't work but I called the front office and they quickly had someone come and assist us. The guy looked a little rough but he was actually very nice and helpful and so was the rest of the staff. The beds and bedding were comfortable and we slept very good . Our last night there we came in the room after dinner and the housekeeper cleaned our rooms and even were sweet enough to make up our beds with our kids Disney stuffed animals so there was one each of the bed . I felt that they went beyond our expectations!
"Incredible Value in Kissimmee"
We spent 5 nights here in February and had no issues. It's obvious the room had had recent upgrades and it was quite freshened up. Check-in and housekeeping were both lovely and the pool was SO WARM, even though the air wasn't that week :) Longer review with photos on my blog; link in my bio. Great stay. I think you'd be hard pressed to find better value along that end of Irlo Bronson Hwy.
"Disney vacation"
The hotel was very cheap. But it was clean, and everything worked. The location was perfect. However the bathroom is very small. But if your looking for a cheap and descent place to sleep this place works out.
