"Best hotel in the area!"
We have stayed at many hotels in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge and this is by far the best. We love the fact that there's a kitchen in the room so we don't have to eat out three meals a day. Saves a ton of money. Since for a family of four are average meal cost between $60 and $70. We are able to keep it on budget by eating home or at the condo most meals. It feels like home for sure. We even have washer and dryer in our room so be sure to bring laundry detergent! We will be staying here again! The flexibility of the hours for the pool as well as a huge benefit. We enjoyed much better than wilderness at the Smokies. It is more family friendly.
"We love this place!"
We have stayed here multiple times and its always great. The rooms, Waterpark, location and price is just great. All of the staff members go out of they're way help and be friendly. The rooms are super nice and clean. The water park is a blast for the kids and its included in the price.
"Awesome stay with awesome staff"
We decided spur of the moment to spend the weekend in pigeon forge.....so we called around and since we have a big family finding a room was difficult. This resort was fabulous. The rooms were spacious and great for big families and when tragedy hit the staff was super helpful. Long story short ....our car keys got flushed down the kids toilet. Shane (the ginger) from maintenance was fabulous....he went above and beyond to help us retrieve our keys. Thanks so much Shane and thanks for being so understanding. Awesome customer service.
"Spring Break Planning"
This trip was amazing from the moment it was decided on. I have never had such a great experience booking a room, Jennifer M. was awesome! She explained everything in detail regarding our room, gave great and honest feedback about activities to do and see with our family, and answered my questions before I even knew what to ask! I have been in Customer Service for over 20 years and this is what it should be about!
"Awesome room, spectacular price and a lot a stuff to do one site"
Our family visited pigeon forge for the weekend and stayed here. We usually stay at the econo lodge down the road, which btw is pretty nice for an econo lodge.
But for the resort, the room was a 2 queen room and it was enormous. Paid only 119 for a Saturday night. In addition to the two queen beds there was also a very spacious living room area with a tv, dinning table and a full kitchen. Kitchen was stocked with cook and bake wear in addition to cooking utensils and silverware. A washer and dryer were also in the room. The room was very nicely decorated and even included fake greenery in the room. Beds were comfy, woke up feeling good.
The room balcony was big enough for 6-8 people to sit outside. The room, with an air mattress could tightly accommodate 8 people with the pull out sofa bed.
The grounds were very well kept with a great onsite water park. Two giant water slides, a kiddie pool, and a small kids little water park. Also a hot tub and 4 foot pool with volleyball net and basketball goal. At the pool they have very nice bathrooms for changing.
They also have a mini golf course onsite, but it was raining so we didn't get to try it out.
The hotel is located in the same parking lot as Applebee's (which had excellent service for an Applebee's) also many other restaurants within walking distance. A Walmart is just across the highway. Good proximity to pigeon forge. If you're looking to walk you could easily walk pigeon forge from here on a nice day.
"2nd visit!"
Second visit here in the winter. Indoor water park is great for the kids! Staff is friendly. Our room and linens were clean. Kitchens are a great bonus. Very affordable! Excellent! I'm sure we will be back!
"Family Vacation"
My family went here for the first time in July 2015. I was very impressed with the resort. We had teenagers and small children and there was stuff for everyone to do. I loved that there were restaurants within walking distance. The only thing that I didn't like was that we had to wait about an hour before our room was ready.
"My babies"
We stayed at the governors resort again this year and it was WONDERFUL! Not only did they let use change rooms to be higher up and a woody view, they also gave us free passes to the zoo. Which is close by and a must see. We will be coming back next year! Thank you Sally for your patience when we wanted to change rooms! LOVE this place! The kids loved the pool! Great place for families!
"Amazing Customer service!!"
We just got back from a short three day vacation from Pigeon Forge. The hotel staff was amazing. We got there like 30 minutes early, but didnt have our room ready, which the front desk even offered to let us use the pool until it was done which was very kind of her. The rooms are amazing with a breath taking view from the 5th floor. They even supply everything you need for cooking there if you decide to do so. The pool was great, the kids loved the slide and the hot tub! We did have an issue with the fridge at first but as soon as we informed the staff it was fixed right away which was awesome customer service. The only issue was random kids running up and down the halls unsupervised, which was not the hotels fault. This is our second time coming here, and would never go anywhere else!!
"Great stay"
I wanted to write a review as soon as we got here because it seemed like a pretty awesome place but figured I better see how it went. We stayed 4 days. Tonight is the last night. Loved it! Will stay again.
We had a two bedroom condo. I liked the common area/living room between the bedrooms. Way better than two hotel rooms that you would have to keep going in and out of down a hallway to see your family. It had everything we needed... full kitchen and washer and dryer. 3 tvs. Wifi.
A few things annoyed me but not enough to keep me from coming back. I was a little worried the first night because the pool was really crowded. The next two days were not crowded at all. Getting out of collier dr was about a 10min wait during the day with traffic. The bed was not that comfortable but can't figure out why. Not too hard. Not too soft. Maybe it was the not so great pillows. I don't know. Maybe it was me. Staff could be a little friendlier but Hey, I don't like working either.
Overall it was a great place to stay. Close to everything. Thank goodness for the indoor pool to provide winter fun. The entire place seemed very well kept and clean. We plan on coming back in the spring and will probably choose to stay here again.
"Great place to stay"
Desk clerk and staff were very cordial and helpful. The room was clean and well maintained. The indoor water park was a hit for the grandchildren!
We booked online for a two night stay and i thought the rates where reasonable for the resort package.
"The perfect getaway!"
This is our second visit this month and it is just as amazing as the first time. Anthony and Jennifer made us feel very welcomed and gave us excellent guest service! We highly recommend this place to everyone it is very clean and a nice little romantic getaway. We will definitely be back!
"Our go to resort."
We've stayed many times. It's always clean. We've never had any complaints. I do wish the inside water park for small children was bigger/updated. It's location is very convenient. We are glad we found this resort 5+ years ago as we spend weekends in pigeon forge often.
"Mrs. DeCosta"
We are very pleased with the room. One of the nicest places that we have stayed at in a while . Pool was an excellent place to relax. We wished for a restaurant on site...or at least coffee in the lobby. Next time we will stay there.
"AWESOME!!!"
We loved the Resort! We was planning our next visit before we left the resort. It is very clean and welcoming. Our room had a full kitchen, bedroom, and sitting area. If you are looking for a relaxing get away, def choose the resort!
"Weekend Getaway"
Short weekend trip with the family. Have been to the area many times, but this was our first time at the Resort at Governor's Crossing. Check in was fast, room nice and clean. Living area, full kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and washer/dryer. We enjoyed the indoor pool area for sure. The outside pool area looked nice, may stay here again to take advantage of the outdoor pool area. The location of the resort is convenient, easy in and out. Thanks for an enjoyable stay. We look forward to another visit soon.
"Great value"
For the price, this hotel was extraordinary. The room was large, clean, and comfortable and had everything anyone would need. The indoor pool and slides (water park) were a blast. Several good restaurants (steak-n-shake, chic-fil-a) and Walmart were less than a half mile away. Gatlinburg was about 20 minutes away. This is where I will stay from now on whenever I travel to Gatlinburg.
"Very nice"
We recently stayed here for New Years. The employees were very friendly and the rooms were very nice and clean. The bed and pillows were comfortable, a big plus for me! The inside water park was nice for my 3 year old. We were on the first floor, which was sometimes noisy with the game room, but convenient for the water park. The bedroom has a separate door, so if it's closed, you don't hear anything. The location is nice. It's close to the action, but far enough away that you don't have to be in the middle of everyone. We learned to take the back way to everything, which kept us out of the traffic of the main street.
"We loved it!"
My husband and I when for the weekend. January 4and5. Our first stay. We loved it. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Very clean. Love the indoor water park! The lady who checked us out was named Sally. Very friendly. The only thing I would recommend is to bring your own soap and shampoo. What they provide ok if you forget yours.
"The Best Two Days!"
Resort at Governors Crossing was one of the best visits I have had in Pigeon Forge, TN. The front office clerk, Sally, made my visit so extraordinary that I decided to check into buying one of the apartments. Sally was very informative of everything I asked, including the information about buying and renting out the apartment If I decided to buy. She made my visit one of the best two days I have ever spent in Tennessee. If you're in Sevierville, or Pigeon Forge please check into Resort at Governor's Crossing and ask for Sally. You won't be disappointed. They have swimming indoors and outdoors. We stayed in a one bedroom condo and they give you everything you need. All you do is bring your food. Pots, plates, silverware, dishwasher and washer and dryer are included.
"Delightful Sta"
Checked in to Resort at Governor's Crossing and was greeted by friendly staff. Very pleased with the size and cleanliness of the 2 bedroom condo we stayed in. The condo was quiet and very comfortable. Both bathrooms were very large. We were traveling with 6 adults and it was nice for everyone to have a bed. We also loved having a kitchen in the condo which made it more affordable because we did not have to eat all of our meals out. The hot tub and sauna were very relaxing in the evening. We love visiting the Smokys and we will be looking forward to staying here on our next visit.
"Excellent"
Rooms were super clean. Very convenient having a kitchen and washer/dryer in the room. And the pools were heated to where the whole family went in. Water slides were awesome as well as zero entry pools for the little one. Will stay here again.
"Great after Christmas visit to the Mountains"
This is our second stay at the Resort at Governors Crossing. We have reservations to stay again in February. The rooms are very clean and have a full size kitchen, which works great because we really didn't leave the resort much. We stay there in the winter because of the wonderful indoor water park, but because of the warm temps we were able to use the outdoor water park. The kids loved it! The pools are heated and well maintained. When we were not outside enjoying the weather, we were inside enjoying the indoor water park. The water slides were a favorite and we could monitor the kids from anywhere in the park even the hot tub. The service was excellent and we had no complaints. There are several restaurants within walking distance with sidewalks for safety. This has become our favorite place to stay when we visit the Smoky's.
"Good location"
We had a great time staying here at the Resort at Governors ! Location was good, up on hill but close to many attractions. We will be back and stay here again. Didn't use the pool or water area because we were there to shop. You can ride the Fun Time Trolly to almost everywhere in Sevierville or PigeonForges. Great place!
"Great!"
Comfortable! We were with a lot of family during our stay and we all enjoyed the resort. Very comfortable beds and furniture, very kid friendly and clean. No complaints in the least. We're excited for our next visit and would recommend this place to everyone!
"Great place to stay"
Anthony and Laura did a great job on getting us an upgrade to a balcony room. This is a great place to stay and the staff is wonderful! We highly recommend it for anyone looking for a clean, great, family fun filled resort!
"Thanksgiving weekend"
The condos are in a great location - very close to restaurants, Dollywood and great outlet shopping.
The kids had a great time with the indoor and outdoor water parks and putt-putt course.
The studio was clean. The kitchen was bigger than we expected with a full-size oven and fridge.
"Good price, good time"
We rented a 2 bedroom condo for 3 nights. Four adults and four children stayed comfortably in the room. The kitchen was nice, but no ice machine meant either buy ice or make it in the fridge. Room definitely needed updating, but the indoor and outdoor water parks were the best! Best rate was through Pigeon Forge Hot Deals. Saved us a mint!
"GREAT CONDO"
I took my family on vacation first of the month we were prepared for winter got to Tenn . and the weather was great got to swim in the pools the lazy river and the indoor pool they have a great area for kids even a small area for games my room overlooked the pool area which I enjoyed I would recommend this to anyone with children..looking forward to going again very soon staff was friendly and very welcoming ..I just love to vacation here see you in the near future.
"Few issues over 5 years but always satisfied."
5 years in a row and counting. Spacious 1 bedroom with 2 queen beds LED TV, Living Room with DVD/LED TV, Full Kitchen, 2 seat Balcony. No 5 star because of dirty looking pull out sofa when needed...we all had to share the 2 queen beds(2013)!!! Elevator in our building (2014) broke and we had to carry all luggage down 2 flights of stairs to make check out on time!!! Still one of my favorite places to stay because of friendly staff, cleanliness, location, kid friendly. indoor pool, etc... Wish they had a view of nature but location is a trade off I guess. Of course, We'll be back this year (2015) and I'll try and update this review.
"FALL VACATION"
Have stayed here several times because of very friendly staff, great facilities and a good location with easy access to shopping, restaurants, etc. Also, easy access to other roads that allow you to stay off the parkway that is always very busy with traffic.
"family rooms"
Needed big room for mom and sister's. Room was very nice and alot of room. Great place. The beds were comfortable and was very clean. We needed more pillows that was the only issue. We were close to food and shopping.
