"Wonderful Beach views"
We own at The Mayan Palace at Nuevo Vallarta but always choose to stay at the Sea Garden in Nuevo Vallarta instead. Though not as fancy, The reason is that it is a small hotel right on the ocean. And we are there for the ocean! The beach is just steps away. It is a training ground for other Vida employees so the staff is unseasoned and ready to help and interact with us in a very genuine way. The other hotels at Vida are beautiful but so much more like a Las Vegas resort versus a Mexico hotel. If you are looking for a low key hotel that offers you the real Mexico experience, the Sea Garden will deliver.
"Best cozy resort"
It's a wonderful resort, family oriented. Very well kept, friendly. Everything is closed by. Lovely location and wonderful service. Our family was 16 members and everyone treated us as family. We will definitely go back.

Hey there.. Well for starters this is not a 5 star hotel, or GM. This is an awesome 4 stars hotel. Clean rooms, big pool, drinks all over the place and near to the beach. Activities all day, volleyball, ping pong etc. Nice place to rest and have fun.

We stayed at the sea Garden over spring break this year. Sorry has taken me so long to write a review! Hotel was very clean with an exceptionally friendly staff. We got suckered into doing the timeshare presentation, ugh, but on the upside we received a very nice Ocean View room and privileges at the Grand Mayan. We really loved our stay at the Sea Garden, the bartenders are very accommodating and the activities staff is wonderful :-) we would definitely stay again! One tip, leave the hotel and have dinner at the many restaurants that are located right around the marina. Especially the El Barracuda & Eddie's.

Sea Garden Nuevo Vallarta is a beautiful 4 star hotel. Their staff was friendly and always ready to assist their guest. They made my family and I feel at home. The views from this hotel are breath taking. They offer plenty of activities for the whole family.
"Hotel, Location and Joy Squad made it a perfect vacation"
We ended up here because of a timeshare exchange and it turned out to be a great choice. The hotel offers great accommodations but there is nothing extravagant about it so you won't be wowed. It did have everything you could have, and the location was perfect. They had a great group lead a lot of pool side activities called the Joy Squad. Thanks to Danny, Juan, Ivan & Avimael who did a great job of getting all of the guests involved! A special thanks for all the Beach Volleyball that my daughter really enjoyed. The Marina is near the hotel where there are some great inexpensive restaurants. In addition the best tour operator Vallarta Adventures is just a short walk so no need to be bothered with shuttles and early pick up times. Finally I must say that the entire staff were extremely cordial and more than willing to help make your stay enjoyable.
"There are benefits to a smaller resort!"
The Sea Gardens is a sister resort to the Grand Mayan. We like both resorts but they offer completely different experiences. You don't have to walk very far at the Sea Gardens to get to the pool, beach and restaurants. The resort is also right on the corner where you can catch buses, taxis or shuttles to go to Walmart in Nuevo Vallarta or to Bucerias in the north or Puerto Vallarta to the south. It is also right across the road from a marina area with restaurants and an Oxxo. The resort is not new but clean and well maintained. Half of the guest rooms have ocean views which are awesome. Unfortunately there aren't any balconies, but only sliding glass doors with a one foot ledge with a railing. We wish that the resort would place furniture near the sliding glass doors so one could enjoy the view of the sparkling waters of the ocean and pools. We had beautiful yellow finches greet us each morning in the palm tree right across from our sliding glass doors. There are stove burners that are slow but work, a microwave and a very small fridge. We would have liked a bigger fridge. We enjoyed the pool activities and the staff were fun. I was told that they don't have much experience so next year it will be even better! We loved sitting in the lounge chairs under palapas on the beach to watch the sunset. When we were there in February the waves were too dangerous to swim but the sand is soft. You can walk the beach for long distances in either direction. The staff actually listen to guests' preferences and try their hardest to accommodate them. That's what really made our stay so great!
"Mexico rocks"
The joy squad made the visit homey and fun. They remembered my whole family's name. Daniel or "danny boy" was very fun and friendly. They do activities daily and try to get to know you very well. The atmosphere is fantastic

Very nice place, family oriented , nice beach and surrounding areas Highly recommend for a family vacation our just for a weekend get away. Nice staff and good restaurants, plus shows every hour great for relaxing

The joy squad made our trip:) We had so much fun with them and they made every day fun. It was such a nice location and the hotel was the perfect size. you get to go use some of the amenities at the mayan resort which is nice.

"Love the Garden."
We love staying at the Sea Garden and walking for hours along the beach. It is just the perfect size and place close to the Marina restaurants, 5 minutes and you can jump on the bus in no time for PV.
"Hotel staff are the best!"
The Sea Garden resort, part of the Vidanta family of properties, is amazing. Although a short walk on the beach from the rest of the Vidanta properties, you can visit the numerous restaurants, bars, shops, spas, etc. and charge everything to your Sea Garden room. Wonderful pool right next to the beach, very convenient to taxi stand if you want to go into Puerto Vallarta, fantastic dining and bar specials, but BEST OF ALL IS THE STAFF! Daily room cleaning service with a personal touch, ever-present and friendly security staff and friendly front desk staff (JOSE SANCHEZ was most helpful!). We enjoyed meeting MIGUEL MORENO RAMIREZ, a fantastic pool bar server who knew our room number and favorite drinks by the second day! The Joy Squad -- a group of enthusiastic young people who kept the guests involved by offering almost hourly activities, but without bothering you when you wanted to just relax -- was the best! In particular, we were blessed to meet IVAN GUERRERO VILLASENOR who kept our daughters engaged and made us feel extremely welcome. Our view of the ocean, overlooking the pool and beach, welcomed us back to Sea Garden every morning. We can't wait to visit this location and the Vidanta resorts again next year!
"Late 20s couple"
Had a great time, was worried it would be too "family friendly." There are some good restaurants within walking distance and Vallarta Adventures was walking distance. We had Adventures planned 4 days (surfing, luxery snorkeling, outdoor adventure, and rhythms of the night - all great) and other days we walked the beach laud on the beach/pool, went downtown, etc. If you want a younger crowd is a cheap $10 cab. I suggest eating at Pipis (best Authentic Mexican, cheap with great atmosphere) for dinner and walking the boardwalk to hit up night clubs and senor frogs, etc after. This whole area is extremely safe, friendly locals everywhere and cheap. I'll be back.... I don't suggest getting all inclusive because then you don't get to hit local spots and typically stay at resort with other tourists. Get out and explore! Download exchange calculator and Google translate. Download apps like golfnow or tee off for cheap tree times usually mid day with no one out there. I played the jack Nicholas choose whole my gf laid on the beach, unbelievable course all to myself. Quiet hotel with great friendly staff and party scene close cab ride away. Oh and go to Eddie's place. Cheers!
