Good location in the centre of Stratford-Upon-Avon with the added bonus of free onsite parking. Modern entrance that led into quaint oldy worldy warren of oak beamed rooms (bar and restaurants). Room was very clean and warm but slightly dated. Staff were extremely polite and attentive. We were there for a Christmas party and shared the function room with two other parties. The food was served on piping hot plates and was delicious. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. After the meal we danced the night away to a fantastic disco where the DJ readily played our requests and was very jovial. After a good nights sleep we had had a great cooked breakfast (again served on piping hot plates) along with a range of cereals, fruit juices, cold meats and pastries. Thank you everyone I would thoroughly recommend you and your hotel.

"Afternoon tea"
Visited the Falcon hotel which proved to be a wonderful experience. Lovely atmosphere and surprisingly young and attentive staff. Great setting in a marvellous hotel, posh but not snobby if that makes any sense!! Afternoon tea was great and good value for money. Would recommend due to good staff and super chilled atmosphere.

I just want to thank Carol, James and all the staff at the Falcon for a wonderful December, and to Ellen for organising all the events for me and looking after us. Firstly our flower club committee had our Christmas dinner at the beginning of December all were so impressed by the food, service and hotel. I also held my husbands 50th there in mid December it was a surprise birthday a few of stayed the night before and had a wonderful meal and then we all came back the next day for Afternoon Tea which was all set out beautifully and the tea was amazing.. The garden terrace room looked lovely. We have just now returned from our Christmas stay there we felt so spoilt, it was a beautiful relaxing setting and the food was amazing. The staff just made it so special and work so hard, nothing is ever too much trouble and they are so lovely. We always stay in the Apple suite so our little dog can join us for part of our stays which is great with its own lounge downstairs. Thank you again. See you soon.

I was rather taken by this hotel- I only popped in for a bite to eat and was very impressed indeed with the unobtrusive, friendly and efficient service. The food was absoloutely excellent too and it is nice to see things done 'properly'. The whole effect is very relaxing and civilised, I don't doubt for a moment that this is not just something that happens but comes from top rate management and attention to detail. It seems plenty of other people have already said how much they like the Falcon so I would just like to add that, after such an excellent experience, the bill came to rather less than I expected. I liked that bit too!

"A beautiful and stylish recently refurbished Hotel"
We stayed here for 2 days and one overnight for a Board Meeting for 12. Car Parking was easy as the Hotel has it's own Car Park at the back. Upon arrival in Reception we were greeted by exceptionally friendly and efficient Front of House Staff. Check in took moments. My Room was on the top floor overlooking the Market Square and was peaceful thanks to double glazing and exceptionally comfortable......a wonderful Bed and a gorgeous expensively fitted out Bathroom. Much attention to detail throughout to make Guests comfortable. The Bar downstairs was large and well laid out and we all met and had a drink before Dinner. The Meal was served at a lovely large Table set for 12 with a good choice of food that was stylishly presented and very tasty. The following day we had our Board Meeting in the Oak Room which would be perfect for small gatherings and it also has a lovely ante Room off where we had a Private Lunch. Overall an excellent stay. I would highly recommend this Hotel. Very comfortable throughout, excellent friendly Staff and a good location in this buzzing Town....keep it up, we'll be back!
"Great venue, genuine staff, excellent food"
I recently celebrated my birthday at The Falcon Hotel with friends and family. I was impressed with every element of the event from the help planning the menu to the food on the night, the attentiveness of the staff and the quality of the rooms. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to organise a similar party.
"Perfect birthday party"
After looking at some alternatives I chose the Falcon for my 60th birthday dinner for a party of 28 of us. I just cannot fault it in any way. We had the Oak dining room and adjoining Club reception room which made for a perfect spacious private venue with their stone walling and fireplaces, oak panelling, a superb table and quality furnishing. The meal was excellent, both in quality and value. Add to that staff who were so efficient in their service and attitude and the whole evening just could not have been bettered. All our guests were equally impressed and thanks must go to Ellen, who managed the event with professional efficiency right from the start. Highly recommended.
"Perfect wedding venue!"
My wife and I had our wedding reception here in September and I could not fault the Falcon one bit. They made the place look fantastic and the food was unbelievable. Both families stayed in the hotel the night before and the night of the wedding and everyone commented on how nice the rooms were. Special mention must go to Carol for the effort she went to on our special day so thank you!
"Fabulous Cosy Hotel"
We booked this hotel quite late, and were given a discount on inquiring about availability as we were staying 3 nights. This was a good start, and the whole experience continued to be really good. The hotel is in the centre of the town which has pretty shops and antique centres etc. Parking is good. The staff are extremely helpful and professional. We requested a room with a kingsize bed, and the bed and room were of a high standard. Lovely bathroom too. We were told that this hotel has recently had some renovations, and these have made the whole environment cosy and welcoming. Breakfast is good, with a varied menu, and all the usual choices. This is a hotel that is a pleasure to stay in and difficult to leave!

Stopped here and the service was second to none, the food really good. Would definitely recommend this as a place to stay or just pop in for a lovely lunch. The staff made our time here relacing and very enjoyable.
"Excellent Hotel great location super Staff."
I spent 4 nights at the Falcon staying here while the BBWF Birdfair was on a few miles away at Rutland Water. Had a very nice room No7 overlooking the Market Square . Room was a high standard with all I needed and lovely bathroom. Friday morning had the Market outside starting at about 6-00 so no parking in the Sq on the Thur night but hotel has its own secure carp ark at the rear. Quiet open lounge good selection of beers for the evening and an excellent choice of breakfasts in the morning. Staff were so helpful and friendly. I must recommend Don Paddy,s across the Square had a great meal and only a 30 second walk.
"Great service and super food"
Having chosen the Falcon for a family birthday dinner, it didn`t fail to impress. From the moment we arrived we were greeted in a professional, but friendly manner, and after ordering pre-dinner drinks, we were shown through to the comfortable lounge area where we could peruse the menu. We were then taken through to the Restaurant area, which was cosy and intimate, with views over Uppinghams market square. Our party of four ordered various main courses including, Oven Roasted Cod Loin, Boeuf Bourguignonne, and Launde of Lamb, all of which were cooked to perfection. Desserts included, The Falcon Trifle, Chocolate Brownies, and according to one of our group, the best ever Bread and Butter Pudding, in this case, with added Black Cherries. Our waiter for the evening, David, was charming, funny and above all else, totally professional, and made this an evening to remember. First class food, and service, makes this the obvious choice when in Uppingham.
"Celebration lunch - superb!"
Some friends of mine had their Silver Wedding anniversary lunch at the Falcon. What a wonderful day and definitely enhanced by the excellent levels of service. I was impressed by the staff throughout the day who went out of their way to make it a wonderful occasion. In addition to the staff I was also impressed with my meal and everyone at my table liked all three courses. I will certainly be back.
"Fabulous renovation"
For many years this establishment languished, terrible food, awful rooms, dreadful. Then, along came local businessman Robert Wills and his team. The renovation began and is now virtually complete resulting in the most superb hotel, a real bonus and focal point for the local community and visitors alike. Great menu, excellent value. Beautiful rooms and a gorgeous reception and bar environment have resulted. Most important of all are the staff, so friendly, welcoming and helpful. Uppingham, Rutland's second town is a charming destination. Visiting the Falcon can only enhance your visit. Congratulations to all at the Falcon.
"Afternoon Tea"
What a treat this visit was. Would thoroughly recommend the Falcons afternoon tea and suggest you get across and treat your better half, or parents or friends before everyone finds out. Great service from the staff and the hotel and we were looked after throughout our stay which was a refreshing change as to often we see residents being favoured over ""food only"" visitors. Certainly not the experience here. A great afternoon tea with a good selection & variety of sandwiches and cakes that were all fresh and really tasty. Our tea certainly got some attention with others asking if they could get one as well which the staff were keen to help out with - It may be worth booking in advance though just in case you arrive at a particularly busy time.
"Excellent service and quality of food"
Visited. for lunch - even though they have renovations going on in the main area - the front wood paneled snug type bar is unaffected. - The menu choices were plentiful and varied and service was quick and friendly. On a nice day they have a lovely garden to enjoy. Food is excellent value for money. Definitely recommend going here for lunch.

We spend one night here. All very pleasant,clean and newly refurbished. We had a good evening meal in the bar watching the TV (football). We had driven from London and so needed to charge the electric car overnight. This was made a very easy experience with the helpful ,knowledgable staff . Thank you for a very pleasant stay. We would return especially if we were going to do another event day at Rockingham Speedway.
"Definitely on the Up!"
The Falcon never ceases to surprise me! It serves very well as a traditional market town hotel but is in the process of having a very sympathetic face lift. The main reception rooms look great and the ground floor bedroom which I saw looked lovely. The meal served to our party of eight was all that we could have wished for with an imaginative menu and not over expensive. We shall be back!
"Fabulous Private Dinng Room"
We had a family celebration in the beautiful Oak Room at the Falcon Hotel. The wood panelled room was a gorgeous setting for our family of 18 to enjoy a Sunday lunch to celebrate my 50th birthday. The table looked beautiful when we arrived and we had two lovely, attentive waitresses with us the whole afternoon. There was a room next to the Oak room which was also ours for the afternoon where we had drinks before we had dinner and the children could use one they had finished at the table. There was no additional cost for the room and the 3 course Sunday lunch was excellent. We pre- ordered the food and wine and everything was just as we had requested. I would definitely recommend this for a special event.
"I'll be back"
Stayed at the Falcon Hotel for a business meeting, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Just finishing off the refurbishment to very high standards and my room was fresh and high quality furniture choice including a huge king size bed. Huge menu for breakfast and beautifully cooked. Situated right in the middle of Uppingham lots nearby and pubs & restaurants. If you are ever up that way take a detour and go and visit the The Falcon a lovely surprise and great hotel. Something different.
"Wonderful hotel, friendly staff and service"
I organised a weekend for 6 couples at the falcon hotel and from the first contact everything ran smoothly and we all had a fantastic weekend. The hotel is in the final stages of refurbishment with all rooms completed to a high standard. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to the honeymoon suite with the four poster bed which is very comfortable. We had great views of the Morris dancers in the market square on Saturday morning. The dinner on the Saturday night was held in the oak room and everyone commented on the standard of service and food ( including those who run their own restaurant). The oak room was beautifully presented. I would highly recommend the falcon hotel.
"A wonderfully run hotel"
We booked The Falcon for our wedding night and also recommended our guests book a room here. Nothing was ever too much trouble! Since our initial enquiry and meeting with Ellen we were able to pre-book rooms, arrange a group breakfast and lunch the day after the wedding for some of our guests. This was all very easy and throughout Ellen and all the staff were extremely helpful and went above and beyond for us. The room we stayed in had a gorgeous four poster bed, luxurious bathroom and a fantastic view over the square. I don't think it's possible to get a bad room though, they all appear to be tastefully decorated and you can guarantee comfort. The roast we enjoyed on Sunday was full of local produce, tasty and very filling! We would wholeheartedly recommend the Falcon to anyone and hope to visit again very soon.
"A little gem"
Local friends booked this for us and as we walked in to a temporary reception we wondered what we had let ourselves in for. We needn't have worried as we didnt know it initially but its undergoing a refurb. The friendliness of the staff was amazing. They went 'above and beyond' as we popped in and out of the hotel all day. We cant thank them enough.The newly refurbished bedroom, with 4 poster, was lovely and the bathroom far better than many 4 star hotels that we've stayed in. White Company products and lots of them. Fluffy towels, gowns etc and drink making facilities. Breakfast was very good, again the staff made it!
"Perfect day!"
When my husbands son and his fianc said they were planning heir wedding at The Falcon we were a little doubtful of their choice as historically it didn't have a fantastic reputation. How things have been turned around by Carol and her amazing team! From our first meeting with Carol many months ago right through to our departure the morning after the wedding we could not fault a single thing. The staff made the day run smoothly and their professionalism and friendly attitude made the whole day very special for us all. The wedding breakfast was excellent , the rooms are sumptuous (pity it was only for one night!) and the breakfast taken in the oak panelled room was a relaxed way to end what was a very special weekend. I think the delightful small market town of Uppingham in our county of Rutland can be assured that this wonderful gem of a place certainly reflects the counties motto "Multum in parvo" (much in little) Well done to all the team you deserve every success.
"Pulled off a wedding day!"
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the falcon for a family members wedding. I stayed for 4 nights before and after the wedding dinner. The weekend we arrived the hotel was at it busiest however the stay was very helpful and made sure we was fully catered for. We also requested some special fruits for breakfast which wasn't on the menu The whole stay and wedding dinner, was brilliant. Well done to the hotel and staff.
"Falcon Hotel Uppingham"
Wonderful. Nice hotel, usually pleasantly busy with local trade throughout the day. try the tea and cakes bit. Food is good, service is good. The decor is mostly new, lavishly and caringly installed. Log fires on the colder days. Management is local, hands-on and always around if needed. The rooms (we are local and so havn't stayed here, but have seen many of them) are fabulous. Prices not bad considering the quality and location of this very special place. They do a lot of functions too. Well worth a look.
"Lovely afternoon tea"
I booked afternoon tea for my mums birthday, what a treat. Hotel and staff very welcoming. The afternoon tea was delicious with a good choice of sandwiches and cakes and of course a big pot of tea. Woukd highly recommend, very good price too.
"Great party"
Friends hired the private dining room and adjacent room fir a party . Food was served efficiently, standard of food was more than acceptable. Great friendly service. The wine flowed freely. After the disco finished we were served final drinks and coffee at the hotel bar, apart from the bar tender not bring able yo mix a b52 a great time was had by all.
"Excellent Resort"
We are regular visitors to the Club La Costa Resort outside Fuengirola and would like to say how much we have enjoyed staying here. As we stay here for a month at a time, we get a train from Malaga to Fuengirola and a short taxi ride to the resort which is about 12 euros. The staff at Reception are always very friendly and can't do enough to help make your stay a pleasant one. The standard of the apartments are always of a high standard, and we have stayed at a few different ones on the resort. They are well equipped with all the mod cons to make your stay an enjoyable one and the welcome pack another thoughtful touch to make you welcome. It's like being home from home. The amenities are what one would expect from a resort of this calibre. We have eaten at both Zachary's and Safari and could recommend both. The train that goes round the resort makes it easy to access the beach or the short walk to Fuengirola and is a welcome relief to get you back to your apartment after the walk back from the town. We would thoroughly recommend a stay here whether it's for a week or a month.
