"Riverwalk Hotel"
Loved staying here. It was right in the middle of all the Riverwalk venues. Convenient to all the attractions. Staff was very warm and welcoming. Spent a couple of hours at the bar enjoying drinks and an appetizer. Truly enjoyed a couple of days together at a great location in a beautiful room!
"Great room for the price"
Although my original reservation was incorrect the staff was very accommodating and upgraded our rooms. The executive suite was very nice. Bathrooms were great. The room was clean with the exception of the floors. The staff was great.
"Comfortable, Great Value and Smoker Friendly"
I chose this hotel for lodging during the AVMA convention. The location was close enough to walk to the convention center and Riverwalk. My room was spacious and clean. Super friendly, helpful staff. Rates were much more affordable than the other hotels affiliated with the convention. Best of all for me as a smoker, smoking rooms were available! Even if they weren't, however, there are some rooms with cute, small balconies or patios and a section of rooms that have an exterior entrance facing the pool courtyard. I spent most of my time at the convention center, but my room was a welcome place when I came back. My only disappointments were the lack of any type of coffee or breakfast nibbles in the lobby in the morning (I don't like in room coffee without milk or liquid creamer). There is currently no room service and the coffee shop does not open until 7:00am. Restaurants in this particular area are SCARCE so prepare ahead if you need early morning coffee or food before the hike to the convention center, or if you haven't eaten before returning to your hotel and don't have a car. Rooms have refrigerators though, and some have microwaves? Essential toiletries only and in wall dispensers. With those few exceptions I really enjoyed and appreciated my stay at the Riverwalk Hotel Plaza and Suites!
"family road trip"
Kiddos got excited about us going to SA immediately kids asked about the and they said it was Very nice time kids loved the pool i liked the bar centrally located to downtown and restaurants nice and quiet at night while we slept.... good place for the price
"Location location location"
When booking I was quite keen to book at the Menger or Crocket as they are big old historic hotels but were booked out - thank goodness for that!! The River Walk in San Antonio is the most gorgeous attraction which we never got sick of and those other hotels are far from it, whereas the Riverwalk Plaza is across the road. It is an older hotel, no denying it but it is great value, clean and comfortable. The parking is on-site and the pool area is fine too. The hotel has been upgraded but as I said, it's not the youngest - get over that and enjoy its positives. There is a bar/restaurant on site - Robert the barman is a delight and the chef is amazing - we ate there two nights as we had a large lunch and wanted lighter snacks - the best chicken quesadillas ever and then a great pizza - all very reasonably priced. In the heat it was great to come back from the River Walk and have a cocktail and food without going outside into the heat again - top class!!! The hotel is friendly and great value for money.
"Friendly and Amazing"
I had never been to Texas and was overwhelmed with my flight and other situations, however the staff at Riverwalk Plaza Hotel eased all of my anxieties. They were wonderful, and any time I encountered someone I was greeted with help and understanding. Thank you for helping to make my weekend one I will never forget!
"Suite stay"
The rooms are good. Very good. Well maintained and remodeled but the carpet in hallways and elevators are awful. There is a bad smell in carpets. Smells moldy and old. Not pleasant. Pictures online serve no justice, was expecting more of an upscale experience.

We loved this hotel! Room was clean, staff was friendly and can't beat the price. Its a few blocks from everything on riverwalk but not bad at all. Will definitely stay again when visiting San Antonio.
"little vacation"
Good place,clean rooms,the thing I didn't like about the bar was that they didn't make frozen margaritas.Other than that it's located in a good spot next to the river walk .There was good service throughout the hotel.
"Cool place. Not quite what we thought"
Ok. Genuinely cool place. Meet Tanya when you arrive. Front desk has fresh chocolate chip cookies and sweet tea. Later find Robert in the bar. Really delightfully surprised. Beds are comfy and really close to the river walk. Coffee ago and bar for mellow nights.
"Riverwalk Plaza"
A little far from amenities, couldn't find night dining close by it but was very close to the Riverwalk which was nice & interesting. The Riverwalk Centre was good and handy. Last night went to the main plaza and saw a light show which was beautiful.
"Great hotel and location"
Wonderful stay here! We will come back. Great location right on the River Walk with access to many stores and restaurants. We had a balcony room with a nice view. San Antonio is a fun town and we will be back

The riverwalk plaza is good ten minute walk to the Alamo... 20 minute walk the the Tower of America's... At the time my one year old love riding in a stroller seeing the ducks in the river. will return in the future!!!
"We Liked It"
Stayed here for 3 nights. We parked on the 2nd level - so much fun driving up that spiral entrance! There were 4 adults in our group and the room accommodated us all nicely. Roomy, comfortable and clean. The Riverwalk is accessible just across the street, as well as multiple entrances throughout the city. Safety concerns were not an issue. My 2 daughters went out on their own and never had any problems. Thank you Plaza Hotel staff and housekeeping for making our first trip to San Antonio a very pleasant one.
"Great Stay"
Just checked out from an one night stay here at Riverview plaza. Just wanted to leave a little feed back on my stay. Great location! And my stay was fanomanal! We stayed in on of the sweets which what an amazing upgrade and didn't sacrifice much more money in doing so. I would totally stay here again because of amenities and convince! Beautiful historical hotel with many visible upgrades.
"Great location for the price!"
We stayed over memorial day and had never visited the city before. It's close to all you could want to walk to on the river walk and the Alamo! Great price for the location. Room was reasonably nice and there was a coffee shop/bar downstairs. We had a slight issue with our shower (no water would come out!!!) but they quickly fixed it, luckily in time for us to make our dinner reservations. About a 15-20 minute cab ride from airport. We would definitely stay again!
"Comfortable place"
This nice little hotel on the Riverwalk in downtown San Antonio is perfect for your family vacation. Not fond of those little bottles of shampoo and body wash? They have dispensers in the shower and by the sink to take care of your needs without all of the clutter. Most attractions (Alamo, Cathedral, Riverwalk, mall) and food are within walking distance to your room. With a pool located in the center of the hotel, you may just stay in.
"Great room in a good location"
I stayed here for a conference and walked 5 minutes to the conference. I saved over $100/night, and it was worth it! I would recommend this place if you do not have a rental car. it is walking distance to the Riverwalk and restaurants too.
