Elegant Accommodations With Incredible Views.

Gourmet Dining At 7 Specialty Restaurants.

Unlimited Top-Shelf Spirits At 5 Festive Bars And Lounges.

We stayed here for 2 weeks and I have to say the best resort in Huatulco and by far the biggest one on the shore of Huatulco. It's so big you have a lot of things to do! A lot of swimming pools, a lot of restaurants and bars (we drank all day long!), a lot of activities and also counting that they had tours! The food was just delicious, especially in the a-la-carte restaurants, those were so nice because no kids were allowed and they had a dress code. Cant say enough good things!

We just finished a week vacation at the Grand Sirenis. We booked through BookVIP and I have to say that I'm extremely pleased with the entire trip, all the way from booking through the conclusion of the trip. We got a phenomenal deal and had an excellent trip!

What Our Customers Are Saying

Written Review

"Great Staff and beautiful hotel"
Our family of 6 were at the hotel from December 21 to 28, 2013. The rave reviews from everyone else are all true. Christmas Eve was the big day in Mexico. The turkey dinner, stuffing, veggies was just like home. Christmas Day Santa arrived at the pool and handed out balls to all the kids. I had brought a gift down for my niece and Roxane from the entertainment staff made sure Santa called her up to give it to her. Kudos to Santa (Joey) for hanging in there fully dressed in the sweltering sun! The only few bonus' that I want to add are- unlimited free wifi, real Heinz ketchup, mustard and mayo... clamato juice, stocked mini bar, toasters in the restaurant that actually work, bartenders that don't ignore you... Pool and beach service (we tipped and you could tell it was appreciated but not expected or mandatory). Anyone who is going, please bring tip money...when you see how hard everyone works I think you will agree that it is well deserved. Not having to wear an arm band or sign out towels was a huge bonus... Showing up at the pool at 8 am to find chairs littered with towels and no people sitting in them throughout the day is a bit annoying, but not the hotels fault..in fact, the hotel people would always do their best to find us a chair. Weather was fantastic every day... Did not need a sweater at night. Alcohol was premium... Bacardi, Smirnoff, crown royal, good Chardonnay, coffees at night with kahula, amaretto, grand marnier.. They had it all... ( if you think it's watered down, try it straight!) Only other advice would be to take a taxi to airport... It is a small airport and we waited there for 4 hrs.. There is only a small restaurant after you check in, once you pass security (which is the line you see from the restaurant) there is only a small room with snacks ... Checkin and security took all of 15 minutes. The rest of the time was just sitting in an overcrowded room. Next time I will wait at the hotel for an extra hour. Shout out to the gang at the Baracuda bar... Prospero, Daniel, Ana, Isobela. And to our other favorites in the restaurant Rolo, Israel...Dora and Milly from the entertainment crew. It was our pleasure to meet you all...
"Warm family holiday"
We just returned from spending the week, including Christmas, at this resort. The staff is very friendly and focused on making guests' stay enjoyable. There were many extra touches, including Monday Night Football on a big screen poolside complete with buckets of cold beer. The food was a bit better than most all inclusives we have stayed, although the variety on the buffet was less. The weather in Huatulco is very hot. Be sure to take your own drink cups with lids, as there are annoying insects that are attracted to the poolside drinks. Although it is a family resort, two pools are designated as "adults only," which we appreciated. There is a coffee shop, but frozen coffee drinks were not available in the mornings! There was some kind of spa special going on everyday. We took advantage of them and enjoyed great massages. The spa facility needs a little updating, but the services are high quality and affordable.
"Dream come true"
I have stayed in this resort last June and I have enjoyed my stay. The place is very nice which offers free sailing, kayaking and many more activities. The beach is very nice and many swimming pools around. The town is very small and very friendly. We took a day cruise around another islands. We have bought many genuine silver jewelry which is very inexpensive since there is a factory near by. For the coffee lovers this Mexican province is very rich in coffee plantation especially green coffee. There is a sister resort called Secrets nearby. I would recommend Huatulco for relaxation and sun.
"Another wonderful stay at Dreams"
Every year we look forward to our trip to Huatulco.....If you want hot weather, amazing pools, great service and spotless rooms.....you must go. Great place for a relaxing holiday...small resort...5 minutes you can be at any one of the 5 pools or restaurants Japanese has always been our favourite. Buffet offers everything from fresh omelettes to fruit You can always find something you like. Pasta bar in the Buffet was great. Everyone's taste in food is different but you can always find something different you will like Rooms were large and our patio faced the adult pool on the beach. Great bed and lots of pillows We could sit out every night and listen to the ocean....how relaxing is that Our favourite girl, Prima, was still at Huatulco. She works very hard, always has a big smile and makes our visits very special. We could all take lessons from her. Love you Prima! Zivan was great. He was one of the VIP reps on the resort. YES....his job is to get you to go see Secrets....that is how he makes his money....but all you have to say is no....unlike other resorts we have been to, he still tries to help you have the best holiday. He stopped by everyday to see how we were doing and did not push Secrets on us. See you next year Zivan if you are looking for a small resort, great customer service, good food and a relaxing holiday go to Huatulco. We will be back for our 4th visit next year
"Beautiful Resort"
We stayed at Huatulco from Dec 2 - 9th. Weather was beautiful but it did rain one afternoon and one evening. The weather was indeed hot and humid. The pools at this hotel are amazing and the views of the ocean from the pools are breathtaking. The locals do frequent the beach area often trying to sell you their goods but they are just trying to make a living, so just a simple no to them and they will not bother you anymore. If you do want to go on a safe boat excursion.. try to look for a guy named `Teko` (he is one of those beach vendors). He will pick you up from the hotel and take you out to his own boat which has a tiny bathroom on board and take you out to see all the bays and let you go snorkelling, etc. and then drive you back to the hotel.. his prices are much cheaper than booking with any of the airlines and you get first class service and no need to be squished on a boat with a bunch of other tourists. The rooms in this hotel are average but the bed is very comfortable. The restaurants and beer were good. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is not too picky and just wants to relax and catch lots of sun!
""Paradise""
Stayed Dec.2-9 Wow what a great resort! The room overlooking pools & ocean was beautiful.Found the food to be great & tasty at every location, although loved the Italian a la carte the best.Travelled with my younger cousin, neither got approached by anyone trying to sell us anything. I felt totally safe walking myself off the resort @ 630 to view the sunrise from the pier near Las brisas. There are security at the gate and I let them know I was going for a walk. It was so beautiful to listen and see the colorful birds& trees! Also take the bikeride from the resort @ 10,you will travel to the pier, its lots of fun! We did take a cab into town, had lunch @ Terra cotta it was very good. The pools are nice temperature, there are 6 of them,so lots of choices. We did attend the evening shows, found they were very well done, the best I've seen! Try and see the 70's show it was fantastic! Nice music at the lobby bar starts at 930.Remember to bring bug spray, noticed guests with welts on their legs, the invisible bugs come out early am and late evening. As all reviews stated the no towel card, no wrist band,no reservations needed was a huge plus. All the staff were fantastic although we did really enjoy "Jesus" from the pool bar, he made us laugh and shared stories! We met wonderful couples from Eastern Canada, lots of Canadians here!! All in all would have to say Huatulco is my favorite paradise in Mexico!,stayed at Barcel before,it was good also, but truly loved everything Huatuco had to offer, cant wait to return! Thank you for making our stay so beautiful!
"Wonderful Resort & Fabulous Staff"
My daughter and I stayed at Huatulco Nov. 26 to Dec. 3 and had an absolutely fantastic time. This was my second trip to this area but first time at a Hautulco resort. The staff are truly wonderful - so much fun and so helpful. Each night in your room you receive a printed schedule of the following days activities. You can decide what ones you want to take part in or simply do nothing but sit on the beach or at the pool and enjoy the sunshine. The infinity pools are amazing. The staff serve drinks at all locations, so you don't even have to get up. The food is excellent and the best part is you don't have to make reservations for the Specialty Restaurants. I highly recommend the Portofino - the filet mignon was delicious. The buffet had a great variety of items to please everyone. We spent one afternoon at the Spa where we enjoyed the facilities they have and a wonderful massage. Our reservation was for a Tropical View Room, but we were given a room on the 5th floor overlooking the pools and the ocean. The rooms are large, have a safe, a refrigerator and a good size bathroom. At the resort you do not have to wear a bracelet or worry about a towel card. I would definitely recommend this resort. Huatulco is a very safe area to visit, the locals are wonderful, and the staff top-notch. We had a fabulous holiday and can't wait to return.
"Could Not Have Wanted More"
We traveled to Huatulco for the first time Nov 2013. First off we had fabulous weather - 82 degrees every day and not too humid. The Resort does NOT do so many things that other all inclusive's do. They don't make you have dinner reservation, they don't use arm bracelets and they don't use towel cards. Those three things are pet peeves at most all inclusives. We have stayed many times at the Grande Bahia in the Mayan and would choose this resort over grand Bahia any day. The food was fabulous, rooms were kept spotless and the beaches and pools are second to none. Worth absolutely every penny to go here.
"Relax and Refresh!"
Highly recommend Huatulco! Have been there twice and want to go again! I find I relax and am refreshed when I come home. I love to swim, snorkel, kayak, sail and take in other activities ie water aerobics, nightly shows. The staff are friendly and eager to help and please. Have thoroughly enjoyed my vacations here.
"A Beautiful Resort"
My husband and I stayed at this resort from November 23rd-30th, 2013. Overall we had a wonderful time and we would go definitely go back. Once we arrived in Huatulco we were greeted by Cathy, our Air Canada representative. We piled onto a bus and drove aprox 30 minutes to the resort. Once we arrived, we were greeted by friendly staff with a cold towel and a welcome beverage. Check in was quick and easy and our room was ready to go. We found that the rooms were very nice and clean but they seemed pretty basic for a 5 star resort. The food throughout the resort was good and consistent. We loved that we did not have to make any reservations for the A La Carte resturants and that there was no limit to these. We also found it handy that we did not have to use a towel card to assess towels and that we could simply pick some up at the swimming areas. The beach and pool areas were all nice and we found that we could find a palapa or lounger anytime during the day as there were always free ones. We rented a motorcycle from a little shop that was located across the street from the resort. The cost was $60 for the 24 hour rental. We thought that the price was great and we really enjoyed exploring Huatulco. We also took a local bus out to Pochutla where we attended the local market that takes place every monday. This was a great experience and we purchased some delicious grasshopers which are a local delicacy. We also attempted to go fishing with Tino but the water was too rough and we had to come back in. Tino offered to take us out again but we did not have enough time left to go out again. We booked our trip through Air Canada Vacations and we were not impressed with the service on flight. The flight from Toronto to Huatulco is almost 6 hours and there was no food served. We were not expecting a meal, however, we thought that there would be a small snack. We ended up purchasing food on flight as we were so hungry. On our way home from Hualtuco we stayed in Toronto one night before coming home to Winnipeg. When we checked in, we were told that we would be flying standby as we had not checked in 24 hours in advance. My husband and I were not happy as we had booked this vacation months in advance and Air Canada had oversold the flight. We ended up getting on the flight but will be aware of this in the future. On a positive note, we loved Cathy Lopez, the Air Canada rep who works at the resort. She really went out of the way to help us out and she was always pleasent and seemed to genuinely care about her job. Huatulco is beautiful and the weather was hot and sunny on all of the days we were there! We had a wonderful trip and I would go back in a heartbeat.
"Fantastic Mexico All Inclusive Resort"
I have stayed at many resorts in Mexico and believe Hautulco to be our favorite. The area is jungle like and absolutely beautiful and the people at the resort were all friendly and helpful. Possibly our favorite feature of the resort is that it sits in a gorgeous cove and the beach feels safe and secluded.
"Huatulco pleasures"
We traveled a group of 6 adults and 2 12 year olds - the hotel is in a lovely location, excellent snorkeling off the beach, staff extremely friendly. Grounds well maintained. We are looking to return again this year.!
"Perfect honeymoon, awesome facilities, exceptional guest service"
I would highly recommend this resort to everyone, either for a romantic getaway or to have fun with kids. Location, rooms, services, food, entertainment were all awesome. Living in Mexico as a European for couple of months I can say, this was the best service I was given so far
"It's a pleasure..."
This was my second trip to Hualtuco this year. The resort itself is set in one of the most picturesque parts of Mexico, boasting some of the best scenic, tropical and ocean views. In my opinion Hualtuco offers a more "authentica" feel of Mexico, as opposed to places such as Cancun or Puerto Vallarta. The little towns close by, La Crucicita Tungalunda, and Santa Cruz offer quaint places to eat, a variety of shops and some vibrant night life! Concierge and reception are very welcoming and helpful, be careful what you ask for, cause you just might get it and more! Oscar at the desk and Axcel in concierge, speak fluent English and are more than happy to accommodate your every whim, with a wink and a smile. Isreal and Fermen at the Lobby bar will keep the libations flowing, and will also mix up your favorite shooter if you just tell them what's in it, be careful with the "Mexican Water" as they call it, ie: tequila, it's very good but it can sneak up on ya! Isella, who works the pools and beach side is attentive, pleasurable and the sweetest woman you will ever meet. I also have to mention the coffee bar which is literally the "coolest" place in the hotel, with David's friendly demeanor and excellent barista skills it's a nice place to "chill" and enjoy a Kahlua spiked (or not) iced coffee. They all work extremely hard at making your experience a memorable one, and if you do go, you will find that everything is "a pleasure"... The spa at Dreams Hualtuco rates right up there with the likes of Spa Utopia but with a superior setting. We enjoyed 3 visits in our 7 day stay! Ronaldo can help you decide what services you might want, and all of their products are lovely. Your body will be moisture drenched, hydrated and relaxed, and your mind cleared. I would highly recommend the Ecological Tour, but they don't heavily promote that one so you have to ask around the hotel (ask for Mario at the Park). The tour is steeped in rich history and culture. It is a little hike but not hard for the average person. The Paradise Bay tour was another that we quite enjoyed. A spirited snorkel tour with vivacious fun loving guides (hopefully you get Saul and if you are lucky he will sing for you ;) Had the best time ever, and will absolutely return!.... A couple side notes not everyone speaks English (housekeeping, maintenance) but they will usually find someone who can translate for you, also there are many different dialects of Spanish spoken there, so even your Spanish may not work, per say. Bring a hat and drink lots of water! IT IS VERY HOT there, be prepared for that!
"Great Beach, food and atmosphere"
We were in Huatulco for a 1 week from November 18 to the 25th and had a wonderful time. The area is very beautiful and clean and the Hautulco resort we stayed at was wonderful. Staff was very friendly and always had smiles on their faces. Our rooms were very clean and the maids came back every evening and turned down our sheets and left chocolate - even though it was a bit difficult to share one chocolate we appreciated the gesture. I would definitely return to this resort and honestly can't think of anything I would improve on. Great job team.
"Great place! A gem"
Came down for thanksgiving week. The weather is awesome. The hotel is big, however access to pools, restaurants, and beach are not far away. Food is amazing. The rooms are very spacious, comfortable, and very clean. The hotel can schedule tours or you can book with local vendors. Staff is friendly and very helpful. This is a place to relax and have fun at your own pace. This is like paradise!!! Would definitely come back again
"Well worth a return trip"
Stayed sadly for only one night in November. Hotel only 60% full so not an issue at pools or restaurant. The hotel has many restaurants, none requiring reservations. I was able to walk into Porotfino, the Italian restaurant, and be served immediately. The restaurant has a large antipasti bar full of Italian treats, and the menu has many items. I chose the spaghetti a la vongole (clams) and was not disappointed. Service was great. The main buffet restaurant for breakfast was huge and made a great omellette. I used one bar and Johhny Walker Red was available, so I was a happy camper! The resort is well laid out and impeccably clean. Workers are very friendly. WiFi is free and works throughout the the hotel and pool area. Considering most of the guests are Canadian or American, they could have some US or Canadian content. Resorts in the Caribbean have realized that this is an idea worth exploring. I have a feeling this resort is hopping in winter, so for a quiet visit, come off season!
"Excellent stay"
Stayed at The resort at Hautulco Nov 12-19, 2013...they do things here the right way !! From our arrival, we were made to feel at home...great premium drinks at bars, great food at the restaurants just made for a marvelous time....went fishing twice with 'Coco' who anchors his boat right off the beach of the hotel...he's a super honest family guy that works hard and is a great guide out on the ocean...did the 9 bay tour and stopped at Playa st. Augustin for lunch to have lobster on the beach there....also had fresh cerviche made by Coco on a secluded bay of Chechewa..its the extras that the Resort does so well, and have not found anywhere else, which includes awesome room service for free (which we ordered outside of their normal time 'schedule' 3 times and they brought great food up to the room everytime.....another bonus here is that you can actually get a really decent bottle of chilean white or red wine (Vistana by Santa Carolina) ANYTIME anywhere with a meal (no extra charge) or just sent to your room..wine in Mexican all-inclusives always suck, but NOT HERE !! ....another thing is turn down service at night and they also reclean/restock your bathroom too (TWICE)....Employees that rocked with their great customer service were Daniel, Illich and Mario (lobby guys) and Saul in the World Cafe.....one other thing is free sailing with a 2 person catamaran !! And the drink waiters that brought us drinks to both beach palapas and poolside were both fast and courteous.....tried all restaurants and the Portofina and Oceana were the best....for lunch, do the Seaside Grill and sit over looking the ocean=magical....H...will be going back in April 2014 for 2 weeks this time, as 1 week goes by too fast.....Having been to the Mayan Riviera and PV many times, and Hualtulco is our best Mexican trip holiday out of anywhere.. you won't be disappointed at the Hautulco Resort !!!
"Great in every way"
Just got back from a wonderful time in Hualtuco. We went there with Sunwing tours. Right from the welcome cold towels and drinks to the great beach drink service we found the resort to meet and exceed expectations for this level of resort. The bay location is great for swimming and comfortably walking on the bay area. The resort size is very nice...large enough to have all ammenities yet not so large that getting to facilities is an issue. Our room which was a king tropical court room was well appointed and nice and comfortable. Service and food in the restaurants was very good. The food quality at both the buffet and specialty outlets was high.Obviously management has found a winning formula to acheive these great results, Keep up the good work!
"Great time in paradise!"
We went to the Huatulco from nov 5-19'for our wedding. We were a small group of 14 who had never been to Huatulco, and we all fell in love with not on,y the resort but the area as well. I loved that you did not need reservations for the a la cartes, that there was no towel cards or ugly wrist bands that would not look nice in my wedding photos! The service we received, even when on one of the weekends it was at 100% capacity! was amazing. The food selection was good most nights. It was an unforgettable two weeks. We will be returning to the Huatulco area, and if we choose to stay at the AI scene it will definitely be here. The only reason we would stay elsewhere would be to rent a condo for a couple of weeks!
"Spectacular"
2nd visit in 18 months, The service was excellent, if we had a concern they bent over backward to accommodate us. The food went from good to great (new chef is awesome). The hotel is clean and meticulously maintained. A gracious thanks to Mario and Victor, and a special thanks to Ilich who made my family feel like revisiting locals,.... and a multitude of staff that made our visit better than the first time. Thanks to Juan Manuel, captain of the Virgo for the great fishing adventure..... We have already booked our next trip in spring......Tuna season. I would recommend Huatulco to everyone seeking an all-round authentic Mexico vacation where you will feel safe and welcome without the Americanized, Commercialized Cancun version..
"Relaxing get away"
Me and my 13 year old son had a chance to visit the Hautu;lco on the last days of September 2013. Our general experience was good, we had a chance to unwind and participate in multiple activities the hotel offers. Our room was a "preferred ocean front". This basically means the room faces front towards the beach and you have access to a lounge on the 6th floor (which we really didn't use). Room is of decent size and has all the amenities you would come to expect of a hotel of this price range. I particularly liked the large shower head, which will give you a nice and relaxing bathing experience. There is a minibar which will be resupplied once per day with soda, beer and some other liquors. Room was definitely clean and serviced frequently (up to three times per day). There are several pools throughout the resort, but the most popular are the ones next to the beach (unsurprisingly). I had no problems getting chairs and shade, but I admit I went during the low occupancy season. Clean towels are nicely located in baskets through out t resort, and there is no need to sign for them. Waiters will approach and ask you if you want something to drink, but if you go through your drinks rather quick, you might find that you end up calling out for them. The bars have a wide variety of brand liquors to choose from, and they do not hesitate to open as many bottles as necessary to quench your thirst. The highlight of my stay was the wide range of activities available to the guests. At any time (with decent weather) you can approach the pool&beach front desk where they will lend you most any equipment from bogey boards all the way to catamaran sailboats. Programmed activities such as archery, biking, snorkeling, sailing classes, beach & pool sports happen often and are clearly scheduled. Some of the equipment is a bit old, but functional. In any case the equipment age is compensated by the can-do attitude of the animation staff.
