My family and I visited Orlando in August 2014 and stayed at this resort community. The property is close to Disney World, you can see the park from your balcony. The rooms are large and spacious. We stayed in 1 bedroom suites with washer & dryer in the unit. The kitchen is very big with space to cook and plenty of countertop space. I enjoyed the large bathroom and adjacent Jacuzzi tub. The large balcony can be accessed thru the living room or bedroom. I sat and ate breakfast every morning while enjoying the sunrise. The unit has a private entrance and there is another unit next to yours with private key access. So each family can have their own unit and not go into the hallway to gain access. I truly enjoyed my week stay at this property and I would definitely stay again.

    This is not a hotel. These are luxury condos. This is so great. Do not go to a hotel anymore. I highly recommend staying here in a luxury condo.
    This is a great place to stay. It's a beautiful place, 2 bedrooms, kitchen, washer and dryer. Everything you need to feel like home!
    The resort is only minutes away from Disney and we could see the fireworks at Disney every night. The resort has beautiful pools and hot tubs. There are activities all day as well.

    "Great Location! Friendly staff and clean accomodations"
    I am a timeshare owner through RCI and my home location is Ocean City, MD. I banked my home location a couple of years ago and decided to use the week for a trip to Disney and Universal Theme Parks. The location is GREAT! Right along route 192 and just minutes from the parks. Since I own a unit that sleeps six, I was offered a unit that sleeps at least 6, in this case is is listed as sleeping 8, personally I think it sleeps 4 comfortably as there are 2 bedrooms and 2 sleep sofas (which I do not consider real beds) Also, the unit has 2 semi-private entrances so if you are staying with another family or couple you can each have privacy. For this trip it was just my sister and me so we both had our own unit, which was nice as it gave us both some alone time while getting ready for the day. The unit was very clean and well appointed. I had read some reviews on Vacation Villages website and did not expect the level of care that was provided. I am happy to say that my expectations were exceeded. The units were fully furnished and had one full kitchen and one partial kitchen with everything needed to accomodate 8 people. As with all time share rentals, there is no daily housekeeping however a nice touch was mid-week touch up including fresh towels and a replenishment of basic supplies (soap, bathroom tissue, paper towels, dish washing supplies, etc.). I highly recommend and would stay again. A quick mention of the helpful staff, a thank you to Cesar who checked us in and to Victor and Joseph who were kind enough to deliver our electric scooters to our unit. THANK YOU!
    "Nice location"
    We enjoyed our stay, it was nice and quiet. We were in a corner suite on the top floor. The room had everything we needed, the bed was comfortable, and the pools were nice. I didn't have any problems with badgering over timeshare. The staff was nice and the location was perfect. I'd stay again!
    "Great Stay!"
    We stayed here for 2 weeks the first week we booked at 1 bedroom and the 2nd week we booked at 2 bedroom during check in they gave us the 2 bedroom for the 2 weeks. The units were very clean when we checked in. There was a problem with our fridge not working, we phoned the front desk and they came within and hour and exchanged it for a different one. We had lots of room with 4 adults and 1 child in the 2 bedroom. It is great to have the lock out when traveling with another couple. There were 2 pools to choose from just outside our door. We stayed in building 5 overlooking the playground. Nice and close to the Disney parks and not for to the Outlet Malls and Universal, Sea World.
    "Nice change from traditional hotel"
    Earlier in our vacation, we stayed at a great 4 1/2 star golf resort, which was great...and we booked at this Orlando time share resort because friends were here. It was a nice change from the golf resort. It was nice having a kitchen, laundry in the suite, separate bedrooms, and space. It was clean...very busy around the pool, but we really enjoyed it, which goes to prove that it isn't just fancy hotels that are good, but a place where you can call home, that is in close proximity to WDW....can be welcome.

    "Good stay"
    We stayed here for 2 two nights as guests of friends who made the reservation. Our building was 19 overlooking the pool. Our two bedroom suite had great space and lots of room to sprawl out. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. Clean, well-stocked and located close to the theme parks. A few things to note - the wi-fi was poor and inconsistent depending on where you were using it. There was no black out curtains and the sun lit the room up even when the curtains were closed. Not a huge issue since we were up early but something to note. This property is nice for staying off-property from Disney or Universal.

    We own timeshares at other locations and belong to RCI. I retired in 2013 and chose to flee the frigid Wisconsin this past January thru March of 2014 utilizing trades, Getaways, and Extra Vacations thru RCI. We originally booked each location in Florida only once to make sure we would be interested in returning. We had such a pleasant stay, we booked two additional weeks at Vacation Villages at Parkway. We had a Disney annual pass because of our extended vacation this past winter. When RCI had a sale on Extra Vacations for September 2014, we jumped on the chance to get back to Vacation Villages, and use up more time on our annual pass during the Epcot Food and Wine festival. This location is very close to Disney and a convenient drive. Check in can be crowded but actually goes fairly quickly. The staff has always been cordial and helpful. We went on one timeshare presentation in January, but were never pushed for any additional. We actually enjoyed the presentation (did not buy) but then we may have perverse personalities... The internet connection is marginal, but with the $10.50 upgrade is satisfactory. Very cheap if you spend any time on the computer. We generally don't spend a lot of time at the resorts but do enjoy our time in the pool and hot tub where you frequently get to visit with other tourists from all over the world and U.S. I would recommend this location to family and friends.
    "Had a great week at Vacation Village"
    I am an owner here but I still enjoy our visits when we make it back to the area. We were just there a couple weeks ago and had a great stay. I reserved 2 full units since there were so many of us and all units were clean and nicely decorated. Everyone enjoyed their stay and had a great time. We didn't take advantage of any of the activities onsite but did use the pool every day and had a great time! We stayed in building 16 and it was very well maintained. Check in was a breeze and once we said we were not interested in their breakfast, we were not bothered the rest of the week.
    "Nice rooms but dusty, smells, and they use too many smelly cleaning chemicals."
    We have stayed in many resorts through RCI. The front desk staff was wonderful. Our entire family found the rooms caused bad allergy symptoms and we left a day early to escape the daily headaches and itchy eyes. The air flow is poor and the room smelled like food all week bec we cooked our first day, despite opening patio doors and lighting candles. We enjoyed the pools, the amenities were nice. We went to the owners RCI presentation and found the staff at the meeting to be exceedingly rude. We don't plan to return.
    "Nice resort"
    We are time share owners and we loved Vacation Village at Parkway. This was our second visit . Great staff, Austin & Ken at check-in (they found us a nice unit on the top floor facing the pool) as well as the cleaning and maintenance people were very helpful. We like the washer & dryer in the unit.The unit, the pool and the common area were always clean. Everything is nearby shopping, restaurants, Disney and golf. We really enjoy the family friendly activities of Aquafit and Bingo . The pools and hot tubs are wonderful. We had a wonderful 2 weeks there.

    Our family traded our time share for this area. What a great choice!! The staff and the facilities was awesome. My son and I swam for hours. The area was great. Lots of restaurants. A great place for family
    "A great place ...vacation village ..Orlando"
    I loved the place ..u can find it all there ...u have kitchen with full equipment (stove , dishwasher ..etc.) even soap for washing machine n dishwasher U have a big tub n a big bathroom If u r 2 families 2 members each u'll find privacy ...also if u are 2 big families together u'll find like a 2 separate apartment with one door in the front for entering them both then u'll find the doors for both The swimming pool is good ...nt big ..not small bt clean The cleaning is great n it's near Disney Loved it there

    "lovely resort with a little sting on its tail"
    We stayed in this hotel as a family with our 8 year old. Lovely place, very clean and well maintained, just a short drive from restaurants, some fabulous shopping malls with very attractive prices and Orlando theme parks. There are no restaurants onsite so you need a car. We stayed in a very nice flat/condo which included bedroom, living room, balcony with table and chairs, kitchen equipped with fridge/freezer, dishwasher, oven/microwave, coffee maker, blender, spacious bathroom with a power shower and little launderette with washing machine and dryer. All very clean and tidy, however I found bed was not very comfortable. Our daughter slept in the sofa-bed in the living room and had her own TV. Just under our windows there was lovely swimming pool and Jacuzzi with a guard onsite during working hours and BBQ and picnic area. Next to the pool there was fenced wild nature area with trees and shrubs with a little bridge to go over. I didnt see any crocs and mosquitoes didnt bother us at all.

    My daughter and I stayed here for a week and thought it was great. It was so close to all of the parks and lots of restaurants. I'm always so worried about places being horrible after reading some of the reviews. I'm glad I ignored the negative nellies and chose Vacation Village. It was better than I could have imagined.
    "Very happy with vacation week"
    We love vacationing at Vacation Village at Parkway and were very happy with this year's visit. We booked through RCI and asked for an A/C unit but could not be promised one. One week prior to leaving, we received a call from reservations confirming our request and also for Buildings 16 - 19. We arrived on the Saturday morning and were very pleased to have Building 17 overlooking the pool area. The room as an A/B unit which was perfect for the two 18 years we were traveling with. The pool was very busy and could hear the children in the pool until 11:00 pm. Also could see the fireworks nightly from our balcony. The room was wonderful and all the amenities we needed. The only downfall about the property is there are no restaurants or pool bars on the property. Even one bar and/or restaurant would be wonderful to be able to walk to from our room.

    The room was clean. It has a washer and dryer which was very convenient especially for a long week vacation. Close proximity to Walt Disney. Staff were friendly and polite. We stayed in Bldg 16 facing the pool, the noise was not bad. If you shut the door you will not hear anything. Lots of restaurants in the area and a supermarket for supply shopping. Outlet malls were just a few miles away. If you are interested in space science, Kennedy Space Center was only about an hour away.

Thank you so much for such a wonderful vacation, who needed Disney! :)

It is a very beautiful rental place/hotel, complete amenities, updated and very well maintained. I love the en suite jacuzzi and just the comfortable, homey ambience in the unit. Staff is always helpful and check-in/check-outs are hassle-free. Try getting one of the newer buildings 16 and 17 and if you can get a room that is on the upper floors so you can get a vista of the Disney fireworks (Disney is very close by to Parkway... but we are more of Universal Studios fan)... love the pool area too. Last time we were there, one of our units had a defective A/C but this was promptly fixed by staff. Kudos to their technical staff! Also one of the jacuzzis was not working but its not an issue because we got 2 units so we just used the other one.
