We booked this hotel based on the reviews here and were not disappointed. We had a beautiful room overlooking the water. Every room overlooks the ocean so you can't go wrong. It was so pleasant to sleep with the sliding door open a bit, listening to the sound of the waves, and sitting on the balcony, it felt like we had our very own ocean front property. The hotel is newly renovated, so everything was sparkling. Definitely will be back!

"Awesome stay!"
We moved to this hotel from another about 2 blocks away that was awful! This hotel was clean, friendly and priced well. All of the staff, from front desk to our housekeeping staff, Judith, were personable and very accomodating. I thought I was being stupid when the coffee maker in the room didn't work properly...Judith noticed while cleaning the room and had the machine replaced! Great place!!!
"A Great Weekend Getaway"
My husband and I along with another couple decided we needed a weekend away from home to re charge after the horrible winter weather. We needed someplace in driving distance and decided on Virginia Beach. Our friends had frequent user points for Marriott so he offered to book the rooms. We had been to Virginia Beach many times, but had never stayed at SpringHill Suites. It was a very pleasant experience. Check in was effortless and the beautiful ocean front view was spectacular. The room was large and comfortable complete with two flat screen tvs, microwave and refrigerator.. The indoor pool area included a large tot tub which was clean and hot, very relaxing. The complementary breakfast was excellent. Hot, fresh eggs, sausage, gravy and waffles were available as well as yogurts, biscuits, fruit, juices, etc. A coffee bar is available all day. Over all I would highly recommend this hotel. Also several places to eat and shop within walking distance. Would definitely stay there again.

The suite was extra clean and quiet. Housekeepers Judith and Tequila were excellent service providers. The staff was very professional. The lobby was very clean. The gym was very sanitized, as was the pool room.

We booked this hotel based on the reviews here and were not disappointed. We had a beautiful room overlooking the water. Every room overlooks the ocean so you can't go wrong. It was so pleasant to sleep with the sliding door open a bit, listening to the sound of the waves, and sitting on the balcony, it felt like we had our very own ocean front property. The hotel is newly renovated, so everything was sparkling. We stayed on the 12th floor. We really enjoyed the separate sitting area and bedroom area. The breakfast was nice and varied, and the staff was very pleasant, even offering us complimentary laundry soap for the guest laundry. Definitely plan to visit again.
"WE LOVE THIS HOTEL!!!"
This hotel is awesome & The staff is amazing!! The indoor heated pool is opened until 11PM, The workout room is 24/7, The breakfast buffet was great. Unlike other hotels in the area they actually accomodate "GROUPS" (cheer, gymnastics, etc..) Our stay here was wonderful & We have Definitely found our home away from home.
"Remodeling did not affect our stay!"
We weren't able to stay on the higher floors, but it was not a problem. The accommodations were just right for us. Springhill has always been so supportive of the Special Olympics Polar Plunge! Go Springhill! Thank you for your encouraging attitude!
"A surprise for a beach hotel."
Our stay here was part of a pleasure trip. The cost for an upgrade to a suite was well worth the fee. The room was squeaky clean (an exception for beach hotels) and the beds were very comfortable. The hotel staff were cheerful and offered their assistance without hesitation. Customer service seems to be the "extra" that goes beyond a comfortable bed and a clean room. In a location that has a ton of hotels on the beach, this place has really figured out how to make a difference. During this visit here the pool and exercise room were closed for upgrades/maintenance.
"Clean, modern, safe"
My company's Christmas party was being held nearby and I wanted a comfy room to crash in afterwards--I wasn't disappointed! I booked a two bed suite for my friend and myself. Upon arrival, the desk staff was extremely helpful, efficient and friendly. One gal even called to check on us to make sure our needs were met. Nice! Our 9th floor suite was attractive, spacious, clean, and so fresh smelling! No worn furniture or stains to be found. There was a separate seating area with a fridge, sink, and coffee maker. The bath featured a tub/shower combo and the sink/mirror were outside the bathroom--very convenient when there are two people sharing a room. Beds were cozy and warm. No noise from the hallways or other patrons--either we were completely alone on the floor or the walls are amazingly thick. The view was wonderful--it would be lovely to sit outside on the balcony and listen to the waves while watching sunrise or sunset. The location is quiet--there aren't a lot of bars nearby as it's located at 9th and Atlantic, which is toward the southern end of the beach. We were able to easily walk to Waterman's and back, though--it's just down at 5th and Atlantic and it's one of the best hangouts at the beach. We enjoyed a simple continental breakfast the next morning along with freshly perked coffee (they have flavored creamers, too--yum!). As a bonus, the parking garage is connected to the hotel--and there's a small lot out front. It felt like a luxury considering that you have to park across the street at a lot of beach hotels and lug your stuff around! And safety is a priority here--after 11PM, you must swipe your room key to get in the front door. Generally, I feel that the Oceanfront is safe 99% of the time--only the occasional upset--but this is a very nice feature! I will be back this later this year--and I will recommend this place to my friends.

"Best hotel at the oceanfront!"
I've been here actually several years ago. It was a brand new hotel. Very colorful and fresh. A real Marriott :) Its right on the beach and you can find plenty of restaurants, shops and amusements around.
"Excellent because of our dolphin sighting from our balcony!"
My family and I stayed here on 12/26/13-12/29/13 and we had no issues. The staff was great and very helpful. The rooms were clean and the oceanfront view was spectacular! Being able to see dolphins jumping and swimming from our balcony was an awesome experience! The holiday lights on the boardwalk is great, too! Although we didn't get to use the pool becasue it was down for maintenance two of the days we were there, and when it did opened, we returned to late to use it, it was nice knowing they care about the upkeep of their facility and equipment. We were also able to save a lot of money because of the "hot" continental breakfast they serve. I would definitely stay here again, as well as recommend this hotel to my friends and family.
"Excellent staff and relaxing stay"
My Husband and I stayed here Dec 26-27th and enjoyed our stay. The front desk staff including Nikki were amazing and very accommodating. They answered our questions, took care of our needs and were friendly which just added to the great experience we had. They even had left us phone messages to check on us and make sure we happy with everything. It was like we were the only people in the hotel. Customer care and service were definitely high priorities for them. All staff that we encountered were also very pleasant and helpful such as Judith in housekeeping. The rooms are getting ready to go through a renovation so we are looking forward to returning. I used the exercise room, loved how you could look at the ocean while exercising. We search for the best place to stay and I think this place gets the most bang for the buck.

I stayed here on 12/24/13-12/25/12 and had no issues. The room and bathroom was very clean and appointed. Our room was on the fourth floor and had a great view of the beach with large windows and a patio. The bed was on the firmer side and the sheets were clean and comfortable. Shower was extremely clean with no grout spots and the water pressure was great. Breakfast was included and all of our food was hot and tasty. The location was great, with a safe parking garage conveniently out front of the hotel, we were right in the middle of the strip, and not too far away from 264 to access other parts of Virginia Beach. Great hotel, I recommend it.
"The best on the beach"
To Daryl and his staff at the front desk. To Judith with guest room service again I could not ask for more. I walk in they know me by face by name the room over the top clean everyone always has a smile. I am in this hotel several times a year in fact will be back in February to stay a week for class. I always look forward to seeing my friends at spring hill see you in February best in class and business and hospitality on the beach.
"Impressed again"
My family stayed at this motel the first year it opened. I am not 100% sure but I want to say that was around 8 years ago and the place really impressed us then and it did it again this December. My wife and I went with friends to celebrate their anniversary for the weekend. We stayed in a 2 queen studio suite. We got there about 12pm, not expecting to get into the room but to ask information on trying to find a certain pizza place. After talking with the gentleman at the front desk he said being as you are here let me see if your room is ready and it was so he checked us in. Awesome because the main reason for our trip was to do some bar hopping along the boardwalk so we got started early. The room was nice and clean and it appears after looking at the motel as a whole it appears to have been kept up and maintained over the years. After being out awhile we returned and received a call from the front desk asking if we were all settled in and needed anything. Now I don't travel a lot but I have never had this happen before. Nice touch. We had breakfast in the lobby both days we were there and it was good both days. They had the standard stuff and never ran out of anything even with the motel having a ton of teenagers with families there. It appears that there was some kind of sports tournament going on. Which is the reason we never got to use the indoor pool area. It was constantly full with kids. Maid service was great. Everyone we came in contact with that worked there even if it was passing in the hall always smiled and addressed us. Never had any issues with the internet service. Which we used a lot to look up different places to go. My wife checked us out and said it was a snap. We will be back again next year.
"Son's retirement from the Navy"
The SpringHill Suites was a very nice place to stay. All rooms are oceanfront, it was wonderful listening to the waves crash on the beach. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We were on the 12th floor, never had to wait for an elevator to go up or come down. The hotel was very busy the weekend we were there but the front desk was always very helpful in ever way. We were able to check into our room early without any problems. The parking was good always spaces for our car even though it was really busy. Breakfast was always good with a lot of food to choose from. We had a lot of family staying at this hotel with us and always had plenty of room for all of us to eat breakfast together. I would recommend the SpringHill Suites Virginia Beach Oceanfront and would love to go back someday in the summer time.
"Greatly surprised!"
Lively, cheerful, contemporary ambiance greets you as you enter the lobby of this property. Even better, the desk team is professional, friendly and accommodating guaranteeing quick check in. My room was a suite with a wall dividing the living and sleeping areas. Very comfortable bedding, plush bath linens are a big plus. The room also has 2 TVs! I had to unplug the iPod docking station / alarm clock because the light is too bright. Oh, real scrambled eggs for breakfast. Better than the competition two doors up. Free wifi for Marriott Rewards Silver members! I'll be back soon to visit this well managed property !
"excellent"
This is our favorite place to stay when we come to our favorite beach at this our favorite time of year (fall). We're thankful for the buffet breakfast, the wonderfully cheerful staff and the cleanliness. The view is fantastic from dawn to dusk and after that we can listen to the waves as they overlap each other. The hotel is beautiful and bright and its decor says "this is the beach". The housekeeping staff were equally as informative and friendly as the front desk staff.

Nice weekend break. Balconies have great views. Breakfast is good. Walk to everything. We would go back. Rates are really good in the off season. Nice pool. Good pizza place across the street. Rooms are clean. Beds are comfortable.
"perfect oceanfront location"
This hotel has awesome oceanfront views. We were able to see wild dolphins from our balcony and an extensive view of the beach and boardwalk. Very near restaurants and attractions. FREE breakfast, clean rooms with killer views, and wonderful service staff. This is a great hotel to stay at along with other oceanfront Marriot properties in the area.
"Beautiful View"
I was here with a group and we all had a great time. The breakfast bar was great, the view was beautiful and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable. Even though it was a non-smoking room we could tell that people had used the balcony for smoking. However, the smell went away after we had the door open for a while. When you travel with a group it is important that the sink is separate from the tub/toilet, which it is at this location. This time of year a lot of places are closed, but we really enjoyed this hotel.

We spent 4 nights at this hotel last week. No problem with parking, due to off season. We parked very near the front door every time we returned. Breakfast was fine with lots of choices. We did go out for breakfast twice since there were restaurants we wanted to try. We were on the 2nd floor. No problems at all. Beautiful view! Didn't get to take advantage of the big balcony due to the rain. The employees we came in contact with were all very friendly. Checking in and out were simple. We had 3 adults and one used the sofa bed, which wasn't very comfortable. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
"our new favorite hotel in va beach"
Parking was no issue for us. Probably because it was off-peak season. Check In was a breeze! All rooms are oceanfront so it was lovely. We were on the 6th floor. Awesome view. Mattress was firm but very comfortable. Pillows vary from soft to firm. We loved the separate sitting area! Housekeeping did keep the place clean. Pool was kinda small. It was windy during our stay, so we couldn't goto the outdoor pool, which seems to be detached from the main hotel. We had a fabulous time!

I just recently spent a weekend at your wonderful hotel, and i was very impressed. My wife and i came down for the weekend to enjoy the Neptune Festival, but spent more tim at the outdoor pool and the poolbar. Patrick and Madison provided superb service, and Patrick made some of the best drinks we have had in a while. We rarely get to take a vacation, so to be able to enjoy a beautiful hotel, a beautiful beach ,and be treated well makes it even better.
"Loved it!"
We greatly enjoyed our stay at this Marriott! Our room (on the 14th floor) had a beautiful view of the beach and ocean. The balcony was just big enough to sit out on at night and in the morning to enjoy the view. There happened to be a wedding at the hotel during our stay and we were able to witness the occasion from our balcony! The bar and pool were so much fun! We thoroughly enjoyed talking to the bartenders, learning about the hotel and Virginia beach and surrounding areas. The bartenders (especially Sarah and Patrick) were very sociable and made us feel at home! Our room was very clean and we honestly had no complaints about our vacation! The breakfast was good and worth waiting in the line! I would highly recommend this hotel and hope your experience is as good as ours! :)
